  • A new type of fabricated subway station construction technology can effectively solve these problems. For a new type of metro structure form, it is necessary to clarify its mechanical properties, especially the seismic performance. A soil-structure elastoplastic finite element model is established to perform three-dimensional nonlinear dynamic time-history analysis based on the first fabricated station structure-Yuanjiadian station of Changchun Metro Line 2, China. Firstly, the nonlinear seismic response characteristics of the fabricated and cast-in-place subway stations under different seismic wave excitations are compared and analyzed. Then, a comprehensive analysis of several important parameters that may affect the seismic response of fabricated subway stations is given. The results show that the maximum plastic strain, the interlayer deformation, and the internal force of fabricated station structures are smaller than that of cast-in-place structure, which indicates that the fabricated station structure has good deformation coordination capability and mechanical properties. The seismic responses of fabricated stations were mainly affected by the soil-structure stiffness ratio, the soil inertia effect, and earthquake load conditions rarely mentioned in cast-in-place stations. The critical parameters have little effect on the interlayer deformation but significantly affect the joints' opening distance and contact stress, which can be used as the evaluation index of the seismic performance of fabricated station structures. The presented results can better understand the seismic responses and guide the seismic design of the fabricated station.

  • PURPOSE. The aim of this study was to investigate shade changes in fully- and pre-crystalized CAD-CAM lithium disilicate crowns after the required and additional firing processes. MATERIALS AND METHODS. One hundred and five crowns of shade A1 with high translucency were milled out of CAD-CAM lithium disilicate blocks and categorized as follows (n = 15): (1) restorations fabricated from Straumann n!ce with no additional sintering process; (2) restorations fabricated from Straumann n!ce with one additional sintering process; (3) restorations fabricated from Straumann n!ce with two additional sintering processes; (4) restorations fabricated from Amber Mill with one sintering process; (5) restorations fabricated from Amber Mill with two sintering processes; (6) restorations fabricated from IPS e.max CAD with one sintering process; (7) restorations fabricated from IPS e.max CAD with two sintering processes. All restorations were evaluated with a color imaging spectrophotometer. RESULTS. All restorations presented some color alteration from the original shade both after a single and after two firing processes. CONCLUSION. The required and additional sintering processes for restorations fabricated with chairside CAD-CAM lithium disilicate blocks cause an alteration of the original shade selected. Shade A1 high translucency restorations tend to change to a more yellowish B1 shade after a sintering process.

  • Antennas were fabricated by physical(adhesive) and chemical(deposition+plating) method on organic-inorganic composite material. And antennas were measured dielectric constant and gain. Dielectric constant of antennas were fabricated by physical method was decreased with increase of adhesive tape thickness and number of conduction material composition. But antennas were fabricated by chemical method was reached to 90 % of dielectric material. Gain of antennas were fabricated by physical method was decreased with increase of adhesive tape thickness. But they were unrelated with conduction material composition. The other side antennas were fabricated by chemical method excelled more 0.8 dBic than antennas were fabricated by physical method in gain of antenna. Finally, chemical method can expect excellent product process because it can produce smaller size, higher gain and elimination of many handworks.

  • The polymeric films containing drug and various excipients were fabricated using aqueous-based $Eudragit^{\circledR}$ RS 30D dispersions. The diffusional behaviors and mechanism of the fabricated polymeric film were investigated using Keshary-Chien diffusion cell. The melatonin was used as a model drug. The diffusion behaviors of drug through the fabricated polymeric films were highly dependent on drug concentration in donor part, polymer contents and drug concentration, and the types of plasticizers and solubilizers. The fabricated polymeric films containing excipients and solubilizers could be applied for the controlled release of poorly water-soluble drug and for the preparation of drug-containing latex films for topical or oral drug delivery.

  • Microlens arrays were fabricated using a modified LIGA process based on the exposure of a PMMA (Polymethylmethacrylate) sheet to deep x-rays and subsequent thermal treatment. A successful modeling and analyses for microlens formation were presented according to the experimental procedure. A nickel mold insert was fabricated by the nickel electroforming process on the PMMA microlens arrays fabricated by the modified LIGA process. For the replication of microlens arrays having various diameters with different foci on the same substrate, the hot embossing and the microinjection molding processes have been successfully utilized with the fabricated mold insert. Fabricated microlenses showed good surface roughness than the mold insert. The focal lengths of the injection molded microlenses were successfully measured experimentally and also estimated theoretically.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the internal fitness of prostheses fabricated with non-contact extra-oral scanner and those fabricated with intra-oral video scanner, with a comparative accuracy analyses of their precision and trueness. Methods: A polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) model was fabricated by replicating a master model. The prostheses in the first group were fabricated based on the PMMA model with an intra-oral video scanner (IVS group). Following the fabrication of work models with Type IV Stone that were based on the PMMA model, the prostheses in the second group were fabricated with a non-contact extra-oral scanner (ENB group). The precision and trueness of the prostheses were calculated from comparisons of the three-dimensional images of the internal surfaces of the prostheses and those of the master model. Kruskal-Wallis tests were used to determine the statistical significance, with the level of type 1 error set at 0.05. Results: Trueness (P < 0.009) and precision (P < 0.001) did not differ significantly between the ENB and IVS groups. The IVS group exhibited lower trueness values and larger precision values than the ENB group. Conclusion: Although no significant differences were found in the internal fitness of the prostheses that were fabricated by the two different scanners, the intraoral video scanner-fabricated prostheses had better trueness, whereas the non-contact extra-oral scanner-fabricated prostheses had better precision.

  • Thin film transistors (TFTs) with an amorphous silicon zinc tin oxide (a-2SZTO) channel layer have been fabricated using an RF magnetron sputtering system. The effect of the change of excitation electron on the variation of the total interfacial trap states of a-2SZTO systems was investigated depending on sputtering power, since the interfacial state could be changed by changing sputtering power. It is well known that Si can effectively reduce the generation of the oxygen vacancies. However, The a-2SZTO systems of ZTO doped with 2 wt% Si could be degraded because the Si peripheral electron belonging to a p-orbital affects the amorphous zinc tin oxide (a-ZTO) TFTs of the s-orbital overlap structure. We fabricated amorphous 2 wt% Si-doped ZnSnO (a-2SZTO) TFTs using an RF magnetron sputtering system. The a-2SZTO TFTs show an improvement of the electrical property with increasing power. The a-2SZTO TFTs fabricated at a power of 30 W showed many of the total interfacial trap states. The a-2SZTO TFTs at a power of 30 W showed poor electrical property. However, at 50 W power, the total interfacial trap states showed improvement. In addition, the improved total interfacial states affected the thermal stress of a-2SZTO TFTs. Therefore, a-2SZTO TFTs fabricated at 50 W power showed a relatively small shift of threshold voltage. Similarly, the activation energy of a-2SZTO TFTs fabricated at 50 W power exhibits a relatively large falling rate (0.0475 eV/V) with a relatively high activation energy, which means that the a-2SZTO TFTs fabricated at 50 W power has a relatively lower trap density than other power cases. As a result, the electrical characteristics of a-2SZTO TFTs fabricated at a sputtering power of 50 W are enhanced. The TFTs fabricated by rf sputter should be carefully optimized to provide better stability for a-2SZTO in terms of the sputtering power, which is closely related to the interfacial trap states.
