  • In the present paper we define a q-extension of the Leibniz rule for q-derivatives via Weyl type q-derivative operator. Expansions and summation formulae for the generalized basic hypergeometric functions of one and more variables are deduced as the applications of the main result.

  • In this note, the $q$-extension of the twisted Lerch Euler zeta functions considered by Jang [Bull. Korean Math. Soc. 47 (2010), no. 6, 1181-1188] is further investigated, and the generalized multiplication theorem for the $q$-extension of the twisted Lerch Euler zeta functions is given. As applications, some well-known results in the references are deduced as special cases.

  • Let Ε and F be locally convex spaces over C. We assume that Ε is a nuclear space and F is a Banach space. Let f be a holomorphic mapping from Ε into F. Then we show that f is of uniformly bounded type if and only if, for an arbitrary locally convex space G containing Ε as a closed subspace, f can be extended to a holomorphic mapping from G into F.

  • Let $k = Q(\sqrt{m})$ be a real quadratic field. In this paper, the following theorems on p-divisibility of the class number h of k are studied for each prime pp. Theorem 1. If the discriminant of k has at least three distinct prime divisors, then 2 divides h. Theorem 2. If an odd prime p divides h, then p divides $B_{a,\chi\omega^{-1}}$, where $\chi$ is the nontrivial character of k, and $\omega$ is the Teichmuller character for pp. Theorem 3. Let $h_n$ be the class number of $k_n$, the nth layer of the $Z_p$-extension $k_\infty$ of k. If p does not divide $B_{a,\chi\omega^{-1}}$, then $p \notmid h_n$ for all $n \geq 0$.

  • The purpose of this paper is to establish the common fixed point theorem in the intuitionistic fuzzy metric space in which it is a little revised in Park [11]. Our research are an extension of Jungck's common fixed point theorem [8] in the intuitionistic fuzzy metric space.

  • For a bounded linear operator T we prove the following assertions: (a) If T is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then T is a-isoloid, polaroid, reguloid and a-polaroid. (b) If $T^*$ is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then a-Weyl's theorem holds for f(T) for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$, where $Hol({\sigma}(T))$ is the space of all functions that analytic in an open neighborhoods of ${\sigma}(T)$ of T. (c) If $T^*$ is algebraically (p, k)-quasihyponormal, then generalized a-Weyl's theorem holds for f(T) for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$. (d) If T is a (p, k)-quasihyponormal operator, then the spectral mapping theorem holds for semi-B-essential approximate point spectrum $\sigma_{SBF_+^-}(T)$, and for left Drazin spectrum ${\sigma}_{lD}(T)$ for every $f{\in}Hol({\sigma}T))$.

  • We study a dynamical system that was originally defined by Romik in 2008 using an old theorem of Berggren concerning Pythagorean triples. Romik's system is closely related to the Farey map on the unit interval which generates an additive continued fraction algorithm. We explore some number theoretical properties of the Romik system. In particular, we prove an analogue of Lagrange's theorem in the case of the Romik system on the unit quarter circle, which states that a point possesses an eventually periodic digit expansion if and only if the point is defined over a real quadratic extension field of rationals.

  • The Truncated Moment Problem (TMP) entails finding a positive Borel measure to represent all moments in a finite sequence as an integral; once the sequence admits one or more such measures, it is known that at least one of the measures must be finitely atomic with positive densities (equivalently, a linear combination of Dirac point masses with positive coefficients). On the contrary, there are more general moment problems for which we aim to find a "signed" measure to represent a sequence; that is, the measure may have some negative densities. This type of problem is referred to as the General Truncated Moment Problem (GTMP). The Jordan Decomposition Theorem states that any (signed) measure can be written as a difference of two positive measures, and hence, in the view of this theorem, we are able to apply results for TMP to study GTMP. In this note we observe differences between TMP and GTMP; for example, we cannot have an analogous to the Flat Extension Theorem for GTMP. We then present concrete solutions to lower-degree problems.
