  • The $\alpha$-zirconium phosphate particles as fine as 20 nm were fabricated through solution technique using $ZrOCl_2{\cdot}8H_2O$ and $H_3PO_4$ as precursors. Stability of $\alpha$-Zirconium phosphate could be ensured by adding excess phosphoric acid to a stoichiometric composition Instead of using reflux route that resulted in coarsening of particles due to an inevitably long aging. The excess phosphorous incorporated in the crystal could be successfully eliminated afterwards through careful washing. Moreover, heavily agglomerated particles are observed before washing, but fairly dispersed state is found out after washing treatment. Thus, it is found that dispersed state as well as phase stability is ensured through proper washing treatment.

  • Ultrasonic absorption and velocity spectra in bovine serum albumin (BSA) aqueous solutions have been measured at $20^{\circ}C$ over the frequency range 0.2-3 MHz in the pH range 1.5-13.2. The high-Q ultrasonic resonator and pulse-echo overlap methods were used. At acid pH's, excess absorption over that of pH 7 was explained by double relaxation. The pH dependences of the relaxation frequency and maximum absorption per wavelength, showed that the relaxation at about 200 kHz was related to the expansion of molecules and that about 3 MHz resulted from the proton transfer reaction of carboxyl group. At alkaline pH's, the excess absorption was explained by double relaxation. The relaxation at about 300 kHz was associated with a helix-coil transition, and that about 3 MHz was attributed to the proton transfer reaction of phenolic group. The rate constants and volume changes associated with these processes were estimated.

  • Leading MAC protocols developed for duty-cycled WSNs such as B-MAC employ a long preamble and channel sampling. The long preamble introduces excess latency at each hop and suffers from excess energy consumption at non-target receivers. In this paper we propose AS-MAC (Asynchronous Sensor MAC), a low power MAC protocol for wireless sensor networks (WSNs). AS-MAC solves these problems by employing a series of preload approach that retains the advantages of low power listening and independent sleep schedule. Moreover AS-MAC offers an additional advantage such as flexible duty cycle as data rate varies. We demonstrate that AS-MAC is better performance than B-MAC through analysis and evaluation.

  • The effect of excess Pb contents on the etching of PZT thin films and their electrical properties has been investigated. Ferroelectric PZT(53/47) thin films were prepared by the metal alkoxide-based Sol-Gel method, in which they were spin-coating on P7Ti/Si02/Si substrate using the PZT(53/47) stock solutions with various excess Pb contents. Etching of PZT film was performed using planar inductively coupled Ar/Cl$_2$/BCl$_3$ plasma. The etch rate of PZT film was 2450 $\AA$/min at Ar(20)/BCl$_3$(80) gas mixing ratio and substrate temperature of 8$0^{\circ}C$.

  • The rates of solvolysis of trans-$[Co(AA)_2Cl_2]^+$ in which AA indicates ethylenediamine(en), N-ethylethylenediamine (N-eten), N-methylethylenediamino (N-meen) and trimethylenediamine(tn) respectively have been investigated using conductometric and spectrophotometric methods at various pressure up to 2,000 bar in acetone-water mixture. The activation volumes (${\Delta}V^{\neq}) obtained from the pressure effect on rate constants were -0.2∼0.9 $cm^3mole^{-1}$ for en, -0.2∼0.6 $cm^3mole^{-1}$ for N-eten, -0.8∼6.0 $cm^3mole^{-1}$ for N-meen and 0.7∼7.0$cm^3mole^{-1}$ for tn. The rates of solvolysis of these complexes were analyzed by comparing with the results obtained from excess free energy ($G^E$) and free energy cycle. It was found that $S_N1$ character was increased with decreasing the pressure and increasing the content of acetone in the mixture solvent. In addition to that, the effect of charge separation on the mechanism of solvolysis was discussed.

  • Deposition of parylene (PA) films has been explored at substrate temperatures below 2$0^{\circ}C$ and pressures below 4 torr. The film thickness was measured using AFM and the film thickness measured was 3,500-12,000$\AA$ and the growth rate was 20-70$\AA$/min. T도 dielectric constant of the deposited PA films was found to be 2.66 and the dielectric strength was in excess of 2$\times$105V/cm. The growth rate became a maximum at a precursor decomposition temperature of $600^{\circ}C$. It was found that the growth rate decreased with increasing substrate temperature, whereas it increased with increasing pressure. At a precursor decomposition temperature of 75$0^{\circ}C$ or at a deposition pressure above 1 Torr the film surface became rough due to particle formation in the gas phase. The condensation of a p-xylylene monomer on the substrate surface turned out to be a rate-limiting step in the growth of the PA films.

  • The present work is a continuation of our previous study to investigate the effects of parameters such as equivalence ratio, hydrogen supplement rate and initial pressure on combustion characteristics in a disk-shaped constant volume combustion chamber. The main results obtained from the study can be summarized as follows. The flames in near stoichiometric mixture of methane-air are propagated with a spherical shape, but in excess rich or lean mixtures are propagated with a elliptical shape. And, they are changed to an unstable elliptical shape flame with very regular cells by increasing the hydrogen supplement rate. Also, flame is sluggishly propagated at increased initial pressure in combustion chamber. Volume fraction of burned gas and flame radius as the combustion characteristics are increased by increasing the hydrogen supplement rate, especially at the combustion middle period, but then are slowly increased by increasing the initial pressure.

  • The utilization of aluminum scrap is a subject of great importance in terms of reducing energy consumption and environmental protection. However, aluminum scrap contains impurities, which can degrade the properties of aluminum alloy, especially corrosion resistance. This study examines the effect of scrap charge rate of aluminum alloys about microstructures and corrosion characteristics. According to the metallographic examinations, Mg2Si tended to become coarser and its uniformity was decreased by increasing aluminum scrap charge rate. The immersion test exhibited corrosion progressed through the eutectic areas due to micro-galvanic interactions. Electrochemical measurements revealed that excess aluminum scrap could reduce the intergranular corrosion resistance of aluminum alloys. Results showed that the scrap charge rate is important factor in the design of corrosion resistance of aluminum die casting alloys.

  • This study examines the performance of CBS-Dust for the utilization of cement bricks as alkali stimulants for furnace slag replacement binders. It converts the CBS-Dust substitution rate and the excess slag substitution rate. According to the analysis, when replacing CBS-Dust with 65~70 % of BS substitution rate and 7.5~10 % of CBS-Dust, it shows excellent performance as an alkali stimulant of BS' potential hydrophobic reaction, and it is expected to be effective for secondary products of BS replaced in large quantities.

  • Amended at the Law of indoor air quality management open a court according to the test method and excess standard of the fluid building material were changed. It used the paint and the putty in the fluid building material from this research and comparison of amended and original method it led and in about change direction of amended standard with change of the emission rate who is caused by in the amended test method and excess standard it examined. The reduction emission rate about 45% decreases in the change of test period of the paint, there was not an effect of the emission rate whom it follows in change of dry time. Also change of the emission rate whom it follows in change of application quantity the product which above $5\;mg/m^2h$ has the high emission rate the change of the emission rate is big but there was not change of the emission rate from the products of that others. The putty the emission rate about 61% decreases in case in the change of test period, there was not an effect of the emission rate whom it follows at dry time. The emission rate about 164% increased with increase of application quantity. It tried to compare two test methods, it compared in the paint and putty all current test method it was relaxed the possibility of knowing the thing there was a standard.
