TBM 굴착 공법 적용 구경별 표준 공사비 및 공사기간 분석 연구 (Analysis of Standard Cost and the Construction Period Applied TBM Excavation Method)

  • 본 연구는 대표적인 TMB 장비 회사인 독일 WRITH사에서 개발한 TMB 공법 적용 현장의 굴진보고서를 수집하여 작업운영 생산성을 분석하였다. 그리고 분석된 자료를 근거로 구경별(2.6m, 3.0m, 3.5m, 5.0m, 8.0m) 월굴진속도(m/월)를 도출하였다. 또한, 도출된 구경별 월 굴진속도를 근거로 독일의 WRITH사에서 구경별로 제시한 1m당 굴진에 소요되는 공사비 와 총공사기간을 산출하였다. 경암 40.0%, 연암 30.0%, 보통암 20%, 풍화암 10.0%로 구성된 암질을 기준으로 구경별로 도출된 월굴진속도, m당 공사비, 총공사기간은 향후 TBM 공법 적용시 기본계획단계와 기본설계단계에서 구경별 공사기간 및 공사비를 추정하는데 효과적인 활용 자료가 될 것으로 사료된다.

Study on collapse mechanism and treatment measures of portal slope of a high-speed railway tunnel

  • The slope of an open cut tunnel is located above the exit of the Leijia tunnel on the Changgan high-speed railway. During the excavation of the open cut tunnel foundation pit, the slope slipped twice, a large landslide of 92500 m3 formed. The landslide body and unstable slope body not only caused the foundation pit of the open cut tunnel to be buried and the anchor piles to be damaged but also directly threatened the operational safety of the later high-speed railway. Therefore, to study the stability change in the slope of the open cut tunnel under heavy rain and excavation conditions, a 3D numerical calculation model of the slope is carried out by Midas GTS software, the deformation mechanism is analyzed, anti-sliding measures are proposed, and the effectiveness of the anti-sliding measures is analyzed according to the field monitoring results. The results show that when rainfall occurs, rainwater collects in the open cut tunnel area, resulting in a transient saturation zone on the slope on the right side of the open cut tunnel, which reduces the shear strength of the slope soil; the excavation at the slope toe reduces the anti-sliding capacity of the slope toe. Under the combined action of excavation and rainfall, when the soil above the top of the anchor pile is excavated, two potential sliding surfaces are bounded by the top of the excavation area, and the shear outlet is located at the top of the anchor pile. After the excavation of the open cut tunnel, the potential sliding surface is mainly concentrated at the lower part of the downhill area, and the shear outlet moves down to the bottom of the open cut tunnel. Based on the deformation characteristics and the failure mechanism of the landslides, comprehensive control measures, including interim emergency mitigation measures and long-term mitigation measures, are proposed. The field monitoring results further verify the accuracy of the anti-sliding mechanism analysis and the effectiveness of anti-sliding measures.

연약 파쇄 지반내 터널의 굴착.보강 설계 및 안정성 분석 (Excavation Support Design and Stability Analysis of Shallow Tunnel in Heavily Fractured Rock Mass)

  • In excavation of tunnels especially located in shallow depth, it is not rare to meet geological change in excavation progress worse than expected in the initial design stage. This paper present a case study on the re-design of excavation and support system of a shallow tunnel under construction where it meets the unexpected bad geological condition during excavation. The detailed geological investigation shows that the rock mass is heavily weathered and fractured with RMR value less than 20. Considering this geological condition, the design concept is focused on the reinforcement of the ground preceding the excavation of tunnel. Two design patterns, LW-grouting & forepoling with pilot tunnelling method and the steel pipe reinforced grouting method, are suggested. Numerical analysis by FLAC shows that these two patterns give the tunnel and roof ground stable in excavation process while the original design causes severe failure zone around the tunnel and floor heaving. In point of the mechanical stability and the degree of construction, the steel pipe reinforced grouting technique proved to be good for the reinforcement of heavily fractured rock mass in tunnelling. This assessment and design process would be a guide in the construction of tunnels in heavily weathered and fractured rock mass situation.

  • The method in a bid to make better use of limited urban space amidst increasingly expanding urban area have been attempted in various ways. Efficient using underground space is one of the examples. The pipe roof and excavation for underground crossing implemented in this study was the part of evaluation of such attempt. However, the pipe roof method for underground crossing may cause the ground surface to be uplifted or settled down, having effect on structure above the ground. Thus in this study, a laboratory model test designed to evaluate the effect on surface during implementing pipe roof and excavation was carried out. The ground displacement during pipe roof advancing and excavation is usually occurred in a radial shape but as the study focused on trackbed, the evaluation included ground settlement only. Thus, appropriately-scaled model was selected considering domestic geological characteristics and operation characteristics of traditional and high-speed rail trains and the qualitative evaluation of displacement was carried out with a certain ground loss depending on excavation after categorizing trackbed settlement pattern depending on depth of top soil.

고강도 암반에서 수직구 기계굴착을 위한 연마재 워터젯 활용에 관한 연구 (A study on the utilization of abrasive waterjet for mechanical excavation of hard rock in vertical shaft construction)

  • TBM을 이용한 전력구 공사에서 수직구는 TBM 장비 및 전력선의 진출입을 위해 필수적인 구조물이다. 수직구는 지반을 수직으로 관통하여 굴착하기 때문에 암반을 굴착하는 경우가 많다. 암반 지반은 대부분 발파나 할암 공법을 적용하여 굴착하므로 이때 발생하는 소음 및 진동, 도로 점유로 인해 민원이 발생하고 있다. 따라서 기존 공법의 대안으로 기계식 굴착장비를 이용한 수직구 굴착을 고려하였다. 다만, 현 기술 수준에서 수직구 굴착장비는 암반의 압축강도 약 120 MPa 이상에서는 굴착성능이 현저히 저하되어 고강도 암반 지반 적용에 한계가 있다. 본 연구에서는 암반에서 기계식 굴착 성능 개선을 위해 연마재 워터젯 기술을 굴착 보조공법으로 활용하는 방안에 대해 검토하였다. 연마재 워터젯 절삭성능에 대한 검증을 위해 암석 절삭실험을 수행하고, 실험결과로부터 이격거리, 이송속도, 수압 조절을 통해 지반조건 변화에 대응하여 굴착성능을 확보하는 것이 적절할 것으로 판단하였다. 또한, 일축압축강도와 RQD, 굴진율의 관계를 이용하여 연마재 워터젯을 이용한 인위적인 절리생성을 통해 굴착성능을 향상시키는 방안을 제시하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 수직구 기계식 굴착장비 도입을 위한 기초자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

유압식 확장기가 내장된 오거 크레인의 특성 및 신뢰성 평가 (Evaluation of Characteristics and Reliability of an Auger Crane with Built-in Hydraulic Extender)

  • This study evaluated the characteristics and reliability of an auger crane with a built-in hydraulic extender. The field test of the hydraulic extender was performed with the hydraulic lines filled with hydraulic fluid and free of air. The pressure generated during the test was measured with a digital pressure gauge. The crane was considered to have undergone one cycle of the excavation process after it had performed excavation under three conditions at the same location. This process was performed three times in total. From the results of the excavation using the hydraulic extender, it was found that the maximum pressure and torque measured were 19.9 [MPa] and 895.4 [$kgf{\cdot}m$], respectively. The rotation force of the auger crane generated at this time signifies a horizontal force. If the excavation diameter of the auger crane is increased, the rotation speed is reduced causing the circumferential speed to also be reduced. The torsional shear stress of the extendable auger crane was calculated to be approximately 23.5 [MPa]. However, the rotation shaft material used for this system was carbon steel for machine structural use (SM45C). Since the minimum torsional yield stress is greater than 150 [MPa] according to KS D 3752, it means the equipment has secured a safety factor greater than 6. Therefore, it was found that when performing work using the extendable auger crane, it exhibited no problems with the safety and reliability of its shaft.

쉴드TBM의 현장 디스크커터 관입깊이에 대한 연구 (Evaluation of disc cutter penetration depth of shield TBM in practice)

  • 이 연구는 TBM의 디스크커터 관입깊이에 대하여 실질적인 현장을 통하여 평가한 것이다. 연구를 위하여 설계시 적용되는 디스크커터 관입깊이에 대하여 검토하였다. 또한 대상 현장에 대한 지반특성에 대하여 검토하고 현장에 투입된 장비에 대한 적용성에 대하여 분석하였다. 특히 장비의 용량분석을 실시하여 적합성에 대하여 평가하였다. 이러한 평가결과와 현장 공사자료를 근거로 실질적인 TBM의 공사량과 굴진속도를 분석하였다. 이 결과로부터 설계시 적용된 TBM의 디스크커터 관입깊이에 대하여 재평가 하였다. 연구 결과로부터 설계시 적용되는 디스크커터 관입깊이는 특히 극경암 지반($S_c$ >150 MPa)에 있어서 적용값의 변경이 필요하다는 것을 명백히 보여주었다.

불연속 변형 해석법에 의한 굴착순서 및 지반보강이 터널의 거동에 미치는 영향 모델링 (Modeling the Effect of Excavation Sequence and Reinforcement on the Response of Tunnels with Discontinuous Deformation Analysis Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 기존의 불연속 변형 해석(DDA)방법에 대한 두 가지 방향의 새로운 개선 방법들이 제시되었다. 이 개선 방법들은 암반에 연속적인 하중 재하 또는 제하, 그리고 록볼트, 숏크리트와 콘크리트 가이닝에 의한 보강으로 구성되었다. 이 방법들에 의하여 추가로 개선된 새로운 DDA프로그램에 대한 몇 가지 적용 예들이 제시되었다. 또한, 경부고속철도 공사의 일부인 운주 터널의 지하굴착에 대한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 굴착순서, 그리고 록볼트와 숏코리트에 의한 보강이 터널안정에 미치는 영향을 연구하였다. 그 결과 부적절한굴착순서는 터널의 안정성에 악영향을 미치나, 록볼트와 숏크리트에 의한 보강은 터널을 안정화 시킨다는 사실을 밝혀내었다. 그 결과 두 가지 개선방법이 추가된 DDA프로그램은 지하구조물 설계에 있어서 유용한 해석방법으로 사용될 수 있다는 사실을 보여주었다. 특히 시공단계(굴착, 보강)를 보다 사실적으로 시뮬레이션 할 수 있다.

구조물 겸용 흙막이 스트러트 공법 (Development of Struts for Soil Shuttering as a Permanent System)

  • In conventional method of supporting soil shuttering wall during excavation a system of struts and wales to provide cross-lot bracing is common in trench excavations and other excavations of limited width. This method, however, becomes difficult and costly to be adopted for large excavations since heavily braced structural systems are required. Another expensive and unsafe situations are expected when temporary struts must be removed for the construction of underground structures. This paper introduces innovative strut systems which can be used as permanent underground structures after its role as brace system to resist earth pressure during excavation phase. Underground structural system suggested from architect is checked against the soil lated pressures before the analysis of stresses developed from gravity loads. In this technology, named SPS(Struts as Permanent System), retaining wall is installed first and excavation proceeds until the first level of bracing is reached. Braces used as struts during excavation will serve as permanent girders when buildings are in operation. Simultaneous construction of underground and superstructure can proceeds when excavation ends with the last level of braces being installed. In this paper, construction sequence and the calculation concept are explained in detail with some photo illustrations. SPS technology was applied to three selected buildings. One of them was completed and two others are being constructed Many sensors were installed to monitor the behavior of retaining wall, braces as column in terms of stress change and displacement. Adjacent ground movement was also obtained. These projects demonstrate that SPS technology contributes to the speed as well as the economy involved in construction.

농업수리시설과 소수로굴착용 Trencher V형의 개발에 대하여 (Resear cher & Coordinator, Canal Reseach & Development, japan)

  • One of most important problems in the Monsoon Asia today is the production of rice paddy to meet the needs of the ever increasing population. Diversemeans are being employed to meet this demand, both by increasing productivity of existing farm land and by bringing further areas into cultivation. The primary step in either field is to ensure that there is sufficient moisture in the soil to suit the paddy, and at the same this means that excess moisture has to be drained off the land, while in others irrigat ion has to be employed to bring sufficient water to an area. In view of the fact that the project comprises a huge amount of earthwork, it can be carried out by extensive use of construction machinery in order to shorten the period. As farm ditch has a comparatively small section with shallow cutting depth, inaddition, there is lack of access road in the field, the excavation equipment with bulldozer or tracter-shovel (backhoe) type are not applicable because there are mostly adapted for the excavation of deep and wide section. Mini-backhoe with its bucket width not larger than 0. 3m, and width of blade not larger than 1. 00m seems to be more adaptable. About 80% of excavation of ditch section will be done by the machinery while the other 20% of excavation together with the finishing of the section are supposed to be done by man-power. The embankment of ditch section can be compacted by the crawler of backhoe when it is moving along the ditch for excavation. However, Lowland paddy field in the Monsoon Asia are made particulary in rain season, therefore, heavy machinery is not easy excavation for ditch. It is very important to know exact ground support power of the working site and select machines with corresponding ground pressure. Ground support power is variable subject to quality and water content of soil and therefore selection of machines should be made duly considering ground condition of the site at the time of construction works. Farm ditches dug and compacted by mannual labar are of poor quality and subject to destruction after one or two years of operation. On the other hand, excavation and compaction by bulldozer is not practical for ditches. Backboe is suitable for slope land, but this is required cycle time of bucket excavation and dumped out. If a small-scale farm ditch trencher adaptable to lowland paddy field is invented, such a machine could greatly accelerate the massive construction work envisaged in many countries and thus significantly speed up the most difficult part of irrigation development and management in Monsoon Asia.
