This study examined the effects of therapeutic communication skills, self esteem and self concept, psychiatric nursing lectures on students' psychiatric nursing practice evaluation scores. The purposes of this study were to determine factors influencing students' psychiatric nursing practice to improve the quality of that practice. The subjects were 123 third year nursing students in the department of nursing of G University in C city. Data were collected from 1989 to 1991 by question-aires and academic records. Pearson Correlation and t-test were used in analysing the data to confirm the relationship and influence among the study variables. Stepwise Multiple regression was used to confirm the predictors of the nursing students' psychiatric nursing practice evaluation scores. The results were as follows : 1) Relationship of General characteristics and Psychiatric Nursing Practice Evaluation Scores : General characteristics were not significant on psychiatric nursing pracice evaluation scores. 2) Relationship of the therapeutic communication skill and psychiatric nursing practice evaluation scores : the higher the degree of therapeutic communication skill was the higher the scores for psychiatric nursing practice (r=.5528, p(.001). 3) Relationship of psychiatric nursing course and psychiatric nursing practice evaluation scores the higher the scores in the psychiatric nursing course the higher the scores for psychiatric nursing practice (r=.2793, p(.01). 4) Relationship of self-esteem & self concept and psychiatric nursing practice evaluation scores : Self-esteem 8f concept was not significant on psychiatric nursing practice evaluation scores. 5) Stepwise multiple correlation of therapeutic communication skills, self-esteem and self concept, psychiatric nursing lectures on psychiatric nursing practice evaluation scores showed that therapeutic communication skills and the psychiatric nursing course scores influenced the evaluation scores psychiatric nursing practice significantly.

This study is for the purpose of studying the validity of the construction of items and grading of the evaluation table at clinical practice used as the method of evaluation when clinical practice of Dept. of Dental Technology. 205 dental technicians in 4 cities were questioned to analyze the relation between items of the evaluation table at clinical practice and its grading. The collected materials were inspected by SAS V8 for Windows. The results are as follows: 1. Making up all the items and grading seem to be appropriate because they had the marks more than midium(more than 3.28). 2. Making up detailed items and grading seem to be trusted because they had the marks more than 3.30. 3.The significance level of the relation between items of the evaluation at clinical practice and its grading by t-inspection is p<0.0001 and so it appears to be meaningful. 4. It proved to be meaningful in result of regression analysis of the influence on the construction of the evaluation at clinical practice and its grading. With this result, further study is needed for the better methods of the evaluation in its adjustment and graduated grading among the items.

Purpose: To describe the status on the education of the nursing management practice in college of nursing in Korea. Method: A descriptive survey research design was used. The participants were 47 of the college of nursing across the nation. The data were collected by mail from 15th August to 10th November, 2005. Result: The results are as follows : 1. In content analysis of teaching goals Nursing Management Process(n=66), management of environment, material and safety(n=16), Implication of Nursing Management Theory(n=16) were identified. 2. In 39 college of nursing, The education on Nursing Management Practice conducts 1${\sim}$2 credits. Also in 41 college of Nursing, The credits on Nursing Management Practice were opened in senior grade. 3. The type of instructors of Nursing Management Practice were varied in Nursing Schools. 4. As teaching methods, conference(93.5%), ward assigned instruction(73.9%), case report(67.4%), practice report(63%), presentation(52.2%) were used. 5. The education on Nursing Management Practice was performed mainly in clinical nursing area. 6. In evaluation of the education on Nursing Management Practice, all colleges have used evaluation tools. Promptness, neatness, responsibility, sincereness etc. were founded in evaluation criteria in evaluation of the education on Nursing Management Practice. 7. A standardized evaluation tools included essential content of the education on Nursing Management Practice needs to be developed. Conclusion: The result of this study will contribute to improve the education on Nursing Management Practice and also proposing to develop standardized evaluation tools in evaluation of the education on Nursing Management Practice.

The main purpose of this study were; to determine the reliability and validity of evaluation tool administered to the nursing student in nursing management practice,；to identify the effective evaluation method of nursing student in nursing management practice. The subjects were 46 senior nursing students at Department of Nursing, College of Medicine, Seoul National University in 1983. The evaluation tool was analyzed according to evaluation method; self-evaluation. and head nurse evaluation. Also individual item of evaluation tool was analyzed by item analysis in order to determine the evaluation area, and appropriateness of the test item used. A Summary of the results is as follows; 1. The reliability and validity of evaluation tool were relatively high both in self-evaluation and head nurse evaluation. 2. In comparison of mean scores, there is no significant difference between head nurse evaluation and self-evaluation. 3. The nursing management activities which have the correlation of self-evaluation and head nurse evaluation were in the activity of interpersonal relation, independent activity and implementing nursing process. In general nursing practice and unit management activity, there was no correlation of self-evaluation and head nurse evaluation.

The purpose of the study is to establish sustainability evaluation items that can be applied to enhance clothing sustainability practice. The sustainability evaluation items related to clothing by product category, use, and disposal were derived through literature review. In order to evaluate the validity of the derived evaluation items, preliminary survey and two questionnaires were conducted for experts, and the importance and the possibility of change were measured. As a result, 39 evaluation items were constructed. Among the 39 evaluation items, 26 items related to the use and disposal were evaluated for 10 weeks in the 20s and 30s female consumers in terms of practice. The results of the study are as follows: First, items that have a high degree of importance and possibility of change are the items that can minimize resource saving, recycling, and the emission of harmful substances. Second, the participants' perceptions, attitudes, and outcomes of practicing the evaluation items of the use and disposal phase were proved to be positively affected, and the possibility of reducing resource saving and environmental impacts was proved. The clothing sustainability practice played a positive and developmental role in real life, while changing from small things to pursuing newness. The vagueness of sustainability was changed to specific perceptions and behaviors through the practice of the evaluation items.

Today, quality management is appearing as a critical issue in the field of health care service, partly because of increasing cost of health care. And qualified health care is also accepted as the right of clients, and the responsibility of health professions. So nursing profession can survive and develop only through the quality management of nursing practice like other health professions. Recently, Consumers of nursing service require the effectiveness and the efficiency of nursing practice. Effectiveness and efficiency of nursing practice can be accomplished by outcome evaluation. The focus of outcome evaluation in nurisng practice is on the change which occures in patient's health status with nurisng intervention. Evaluation of outcome is difficult because of some related problems which should be solved, or managed. These problems could be classified as problems of measurement, and attribution. To solve the problems and to evaluate the outcome in nursing practice more accurately, following tasks were suggested. 1) Outcome indicators, and outcome measurement tools should be developed. For these purpose, outcome variables that nursing interventions can contribute primarily should be found out. Also, outcome variables which are driven from nursing theories should be developed. 2) Outcome researches which can explain the effect of nursing care to patient outcomes should be performed. The outcome researches are the methods which can increase the power of nursing profession. 3) Models which can be used for the systematic and scientific quality management in nursing practice should be developed. The models should include outcome variables, and be able to explain the relationship between structure, process, and outcome aspects of quality management. 4) The method which can make patients participate in the evaluation process of quality of nursing practice should be devised. Because outcome evaluation is client-focused evaluation, the perspectives of patients should be emphasized, and reflected in the process of evaluation.

Purpose: This study was done to use preceptorship in an ordered elective clinical nursing practice and to evaluate the effects on student nurses, nurses managers and preceptors. Method: The participants in this study were 208 students who were majors in the department of nursing, G college located in Inchon Metropolitan City, 54 nurse managers and 187 preceptors from 11 general hospitals. The instrument was a questionnaire which included general characteristics of participants, and 21 items to evaluate the ordered elective clinical nursing practice on a scale of 1 to 4. Data were collected from October 23 to November 7. 2004. Data analysis was done using SPSS WIN with the following statistics: frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, and ANOVA. Results and Conclusions: The results of data analysis were as follows: There were meaningful differences in the evaluation scores of the ordered elective clinical nursing practice with preceptors between students ($3.33{\pm}.39$) and nurse managers ($3.33{\pm}.28$) and preceptors ($3.23{\pm}.38$). Evaluation scores for the ordered elective clinical nursing practice with preceptors were categorized as follows: necessity and appropriateness, practice control and management, material for practice, practice report assignment and evaluation, practice ability improvement and connection with getting a job, and contribution to the hospitals.

This study has been analyzed to write an ideal training evaluation table after analyzing validity of content organization and assigning score of evaluating elements of clinical practice of Dept. of dental technology. 220 junior students who are studying dental technology in D university in Daegu were questioned to analyze the relationship of content organization and score of clinical practice evaluation table. The corrected material has been inspected by SAS V8 for Windows. The results are as following. 1. The validity of content organization of clinical practice evaluation table has a result which can be reliable over than 70% but the validity of score shows low reliance. c 2. The validity of content organization of detail elements of clinical practice evaluation shows that overuse of material and attentiveness(3.78) and responsibility (3.60) are high response but in score organization, the validity shows that safety measure(2.36) when controling machines, arrangement(2.98) after use and ability (2.98) of solving problems are very low. 3. In the elements without interpersonal relation, it shows that those are related to each other. its grading is p < 0.01 so it appears to be meaningful. 4. In result of analyzing the effect to 'studying amount' mark in clinical practice evaluation mark, it appears the element of attitude for job to affect it. And in result of analyzing the effect to 'training attitude' mark, it appears the element of 'controling machines' to affect it. For these results, to be a better evaluation tool, it should be modified by continuous research with arranging evaluation elements to be marked differently in between elements.

Objectives: The purpose of the study is to evaluate the contents analysis of the community dental hygiene practice in the dental hygiene students and suggest the outcome based evaluation index of community dental hygiene practice. This study will provide the basic data for the community nursing and social welfare practice. Methods: A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 82 dental hygiene professors and 254 dental hygienists in community health centers after receiving informed consent based on institutional review board from 5th Dec 2014 to 30th Jul 2015. A total of 49 professors and 134 dental hygienists gave the complete answers. The study instrument was adapted from the literature review. The questionnaire consisted of evaluation, purpose of evaluation, and evaluation format. Data were analyzed using SPSS 20.0 program. The contents analysis was carried out through input, process, output, and outcome. Results: The practice outcome evaluation was conducted in 62.9% of the dental hygiene departments and 32.9% of the community health centers. Most of the dental hygiene professors chose "To know what students learned(27.3%)" and "To ensure student's role and behavior in practice(27.3%)." as the purpose of evaluation. The public dental hygienists chose "To score the practice grade(42.1%)." The evaluation method was done anonymously. Conclusions: The outcome based evaluation in community dental hygiene practice was the best method to evaluate the practice education for the competency of the dental hygiene students.

This study was designed to compare the effect of internship and preceptorship on satisfaction of clinical practice in nursing students. A total of 46 third grade students were assigned to 2 groups; 23 to inturnship group, 23 to preceptorship group. Satisfaction scores of clinical practice instruction and practice environment in internship group were higher than satisfactory scores of preceptorship group. There were no difference between satisfactory scores of clinical practice contents, clinical practice hour and clinical practice environment in internship and preceptorship. Satisfaction scores on clinical practice weren't significantly correlated with school credits. There were significant correlations among clinical practice contents, practice environment, practice instruction and clinical practice hour. There were significant correlations among clinical practice instruction, practice environment and clinical practice evaluation. Clinical practice instruction was the highest factor predicting satisfaction of clinical practice. In stepwise multiple regression analysis, 100% of the variance in satisfaction of clinical practice was accounted for by clinical practice instruction(59.1%), clinical practice contents(14.9%), clinical practice environment(12.3), clinical practice hour(8.8%), and clinical practice evaluation(5.5%).
