As of now, emerging lots of complex cultural space with unique sensibility and individuality, this paper is about proposing the branding of a complex cultural space. I selected Sounds Hannam as a cultural complex and conducted in-depth interviews about brand experience and Ethnography. The study found that Sounds Hannam needs sense of hearing and smell because the sensory factors of the Sounds Hannam are concentrated in the visual field, and also, there is a need to create an appropriate communication channel through SNS. The Sounds Hannam had the characteristic factors of sensibility, relaxation and content based on a diversity different from the existing one. Throughout research, it was derived that planning space as a place to inspire people through spatial composition that triggers behavior and creative thinking is the goal of a complex cultural space and at the same time, an effective way to reflect the lifestyle of those in 20s.

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to elucidate the themes involved in a nursing experience of caring for extremely low birth weight infants (ELBWIs) in a neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Methods: Interviews with 6 nurses in various positions and observations in a level III NICU were conducted. The transcribed interview contents and observational notes were reviewed to analyze the data and conceptualize major themes. Results: Three major themes were identified: the fears expressed by the nurses regarding taking care of ELBWIs, reasons for persistent fears, and overcoming fears and gaining intuition. Nurses were afraid of the following factors: the physical fragility of the infants; the possibility of developing disabilities in the future; and the rapid changes in infants' physical condition. These fears were reduced when nurses had developed intuition and confidence in taking care of ELBWIs through various situational experiences. Conclusion: NICU nurses may benefit from obtaining more opportunities to participate in various learning experiences with simulated nursing situations in a variety of patient groups. Applying knowledge and skills into various nursing situations in an integrative way may contribute to enhancing nurses' confidence in nursing practice.

  • This study aims to unravel the shift in the customary method of disseminating information about the ritual of Perang Topat (literally translated as "rice-cake war") as carried out by the custom community of Kemaliq Lingsar in the West Lombok Regency of Indonesia during the COVID-19 pandemic. Grounded in the ethnography of communication research methodology, this study examines the process of the cultural ritual during the 2020 period of the pandemic and compares it to the ones held in 2018 and 2019 (before the current pandemic). Drawing on findings from observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation, it was revealed that the traditional or custom-oriented community of Kemaliq Lingsar abandoned all three prominently used methods of disseminating the information of the Perang Topat ritual that had been used prior to the pandemic, and that they were replaced by a strategy with solely face-to-face (FTF) interpersonal communication carried out by visiting the homes of the target participants of the cultural event. This method was relevant to the current viral crisis because it enabled the committee to minimize the number of spectators which might potentially violate COVID-19 health protocols. This finding also reinforces the hypothetical statement that interpersonal communication via FTF is effective in disseminating information in a limited manner and empowering the emotional bond between the individuals who share relationships and similar interests. The findings of the present study can be a reference for any events where physical distancing must be strictly imposed and require a limit to the number of participants during the pandemic.

  • The purpose of this study is to present guidelines for service design for efficient operation of Maker Space due to the proliferation of Maker Movement. First, we investigate the literature survey and prior research on the definition and status of Maker space. Second, we performed video ethnography, participant observation and in-depth interview on maker space service by qualitative survey method. Third, we analyze the surveyed contents and present guidelines such as Persona or Blueprint for maker space. We classify Maker space into general lab and professional lab, derive Persona from each Maker space, and establish Blueprint to provide guidelines for design and operation. It is expected that the Maker space service design presented in this study can be used as a guideline to help the service improvement of the existing Maker space and the planning, design and operation of the new Maker space.

  • Medical services should be provided not only to patients but also to medical staff who are the main actors of medical treatment. This paper is based on Ethnography, observing the behavior of medical staff performing medical actions and finding what is the most frequent of physical medical treatment. In particular, I observed the need for recognition and performance of the clinical workforce for invasive medical treatment. Based on the Insight from the observation and analysis of medical staff's behavior on intravenous fluid therapy and in-depth interview, I defined four design value factors. Plus, I suggest a design prototype with a proposal for designing a medical consumable kit for intravenous fluid therapy to validate the design elements. Kitting medical consumables simplify the preparation and disposal process throughout the treatment, enabling rapid medical action and increasing work efficiency.

  • This study has attempted to study self-cultural skills about my experience in life with a spouse with a physical disability with myself. The 'autoethnography' is a combination of an autobiography describing a personal and subjective life and a ethnography that studies the culture of a social group, and it is a way of expressing self-narrative experiences and experiences related to the context or context of a social group. The analysis showed that the researcher divided into three periods, one for the researcher himself, and defined the first for 'the single life that seemed to last forever'. The second period was the meeting of the disabled facility called 'The Village of the Virgin Mary'. The Third period is the time of meeting with the disabled partner and the life with him, and it is the time to experience a spouse with a rather sensitive disability. Last, it's the time of understanding and effort for my physical disability partner. Qualitative research is a research process that must be understood based on a unique methodological research tradition that explores social or human problems. And, we expect to expand into more analytical and systematic research in future research.

  • we explored the case of 'H-Community', a private organization that supports alcohol-dependent homeless people living in the Jokbang village, based on the awareness that "the key to social assistance for alcohol-dependent homeless may be an influential relationship to replace the role of their families." The data collection and analysis followed the research that Spradley presented, and the result was 'living in the balance rather than the great affection'. However, the density of the relationship and emotional bond appeared different, which had something to do with their respective life processes and their health, age and economic conditions. These differences were categorized and suggested as arguments through 'a family-alternative relationship', 'emotional bond' and 'participation'. Based on the results, the conclusions presented the implications needed for alcohol-dependent homeless people.

  • The purpose of this study is to reveal and compare the differences in the types and characteristics of purchase channel journeys of MZ generation consumers. In this study a survey was conducted on the purchase channel journey of 20 women in the MZ generation using the ethnographic method of in-depth interviews and observations. As a result, three purchase channel journeys were identified: mobile, multi-channel, and offline. These were variously subdivided according to the characteristics of the MZ generations. Gen Z's journey was categorized into types: fashion platform app, Youtube, multi-channel supplement, multi-channel non-planned store visit, offline loyalty store, and impulsive offline store. Gen M's journey was categorized as: an online community bond, portal site, online loyalty store, multi-channel brand involvement, multi-channel efficiency, a multi-channel conversion, offline efficiency and offline task. The difference in mobile journey between generations was found in the time and length of the purchase. Gen M recognized both online and offline search processes to be tiring, while Gen Z enjoyed the search process using the online path. In the offline journey Gen Z began with their own intention to purchase, while Gen M sometimes recognized that purchasing fashion products necessary for work was a cumbersome task.
