Discussion about the approach to Police Identity (경찰 정체성 접근론에 관한 논의)

  • It is the fact that Korean police has not focused on establishing identity but focused on establishing system due to the war under the confused situation which accepted police system of continental law in the period of Japanese Colony and then accepted the police system when being governed by USA. Afterward, as political, economic, and social atmospheres outside became stable, police identity, the philosophy of police activity through internal introspection in order to orient police activity in modern society, is needed. However, most of approaches for establishing police identity have focused on phased measurement by emphasizing to find major variables. Such identity of police organization through certain measurement study could not only carry out replication but also showed its limit to internalize ideal identity. Therefore, this study analyzed the reflectivity of police activity according to how it depends on certain means and depending means as a recognition to internalize the identity in order to discuss the formation of necessity and approach in establishing police identity, and suggested its results.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the erects of bibliotherapy in establishing the ego-identity of university students whose ego-identity develops must greatly during the university days. First this study will verify the erects of bibliotherapy in developing the ego-identity of university students. Secondly, this study will verify the necessity of reading guidance as one of the active reference services of the university library.

A Study on Fashion Communication Methodology to Build Fashion Brand Identity (패션 브랜드 아이덴티티 구축을 위한 패션 커뮤니케이션 방법론 연구)

  • The fashion industry has been placing great importance on establishing and communicating brand identity in response to the rapidly changing landscape of consumer preference and media development. This study aimed to explore effective communication methodologies for building a strong brand identity for domestic designer fashion brands. To achieve this, trends in the domestic fashion industry were categorized, and key words were derived to develop three new communication methodologies through an analysis of 10 domestic brand cases. This study confirmed that a strategy that focuses on forming emotional relationships with consumers is essential for establishing brand identity. To this end, the proposed communication methodologies include the following: First, delivering sustainable messages through emotional storytelling, which is a key approach for building emotional bonds with consumers. Second, expanding the brand experience to elicit positive responses from consumers by immersing them in special situations to experience brand identity. Third, brands can enhance consumer brand loyalty by fostering continuous relationships with consumers and cultivating brand culture through omnichannel strategies that encompass both offline and online channels. Consequently, this study presents practical strategies for various fashion brands along with theoretical contributions to domestic fashion brand startups and brand identity construction. With these strategies, it is anticipated that brands will establish clear and specific content and build a stronger brand identity by engaging in diverse communication methods that offer consumers sustainable values and brand experiences.

  • The purpose of this study are to show a new possibility of identity design to be used as tools of users identity expression, designing digital contents by studying on the methods to express users identities successfully in the digital contents design, and to present the possibility to expand the area of identity design. Digital contents are a communication media in it self, but this study tried to consider the digital contents as a tool of users communication or expression. The identity expression, which are not only makes communications efficient but also lets products and companies acknowledged by users, is one of the most indispensable factors in products competitive power in both the present and the future. However, no define methods of identity expression are settled as well as recognized by users properly and accurately yet, so that this study focuses on that point. Therefore, This study is advanced in the direction of establishing the concept of digital identity for an expansion of the media toward the identity expression in design as well as making researchers in successful identity expression ways by means of actual design, more than a graphic image making that simply decorates a digital contents. The point of this study is to show a new concept of identity design that expresses users identities so as to suggest another possibility of identity design.

  • These days, universities are establishing new image; UI(University Identity) for them because of rapid change of education environment in 21st century, The objective of UI is expressing university's image externally and unifying members internally. In the process of establishing university's image, Symbol mark plays a key role in differentiating other universities because of its visual effect as well as enhancing self-confidence. In this study, I suggest that symbol mark is an important brand asset in point of differentiation and identification and analyze 36 domestic universities' symbol mark designs. In the way of this analysis, I classified these symbol marks in the aspect of shapes and colors and studied current design along with character of each symbol marks by examining usage of emblem. Therefore this paper will be used as a basic reference to understand domestic universities' symbol mark trend and to establishing differentiating strategy in the future.

  • This study focuses on the identity establishment of library and information science. It suggests, as a way of establishing the identity, the necessity of promoting of business environment in library and information science. For this purpose, the study examines Korean cases that have damaged the identity, and analyzes why such damage has been done and how it affects the fostering of business environment in library and information. It also diagnoses the possibility of identity establishment such as, for example, professionalism of the librarian and creation of jobs through the fostering of business environment in library and information science.

  • The purpose of this paper is to improve efficiency in establishing brand identity by researching the effect of local airlines' use of color identity on consumer's brand awareness. Case analysis on color image has first been implemented. And then an empirical study has been carried out in order to measure the effects of consumer's brand awareness based on color image and correlation of an airline company's image with its color image on formation of brand image. Airline's use of color identity, associated with color image, plays an important role in consumer's brand association. Also, the importance of color application will be raised identifying that it has a positive impact in establishing domestic airline's brand identity. This will contribute to the domestic airlines in emerging as global leaders with distinct brand identities and competitive edge. Furthermore, this study will suggest continuing research focusing on new aspects in sensuous consumption behavior given that existing researches on airline's brand have been limited to human services, system, and flight operation.

Gender Role Identity and Health Behaviors in Adults (일 지역 성인의 성역할 정체감과 건강행위)

  • Purpose: This study explored the relationship between types of gender role identity and health behaviors in 500 adults. Method: Data was collected with self-reporting questionnaire forms from April 23 to May 4, 2007. using the Korean Gender Role Identity Inventory and Health Behavior Assessment Tool. Results: The mean (SD) was 2.65 (0.42) for gender role identity, and 2.61 (0.38) for health behaviors. The subjects were classified into four gender role identity types; 30.4% in undifferentiated, 27.8% in androgyny, 22.4% in masculinity, and 19.4% in femininity. Four gender role identity types of subjects showed significant different levels of health behaviors (F=40.33, p<.001). The androgyny type subjects reported the highest mean of health behaviors scores, and the undifferentiated type subjects had the lowest mean. There were significant differences in health behaviors according to subjects' general characteristics, such as age, marital status, perceived health status, and smoking (p<.005). Conclusion: There is a need to make changes in family, school, and society toward better environments for helping adults develop desirable gender role identity. In addition, the gender role identity in adults has to be considered in establishing healthy lifestyles and developing health promotion programs.
