Volatile flavor components in the fruits of dried Zanthoxylum schinifolium were extracted by supercritical fluid extraction method using diethyl ether as solvent. Essential oils were analyzed by gas chromatography (GC) and combined gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS). Identification of volatile flavor components was based on the RI of GC and mass spectrum of GC-MS. A total of 30 components, including 6 hydrocarbons, 4 aldehydes, 8 alcohols, 5 esters, 4 acids and 3 miscellaneous components were identified in the essential oils. Geranyl acetate, ${\beta}$-phellandrene, D-limonene and citronellal were found to be major volatile flavor components in fruits of dried Zanthoxylum schinifolium. The masking effects of Zanthoxylum schinifolium on meaty and fishy flavor were measured by sensory evaluation to investigate the usefulness of Zanthoxylum schinifolium as a natural spice. Meaty flavor was significantly reduced with the addition of 0.05% and 0.1% Zanthoxylum schinifolium. And the addition of 0.l% powdered Zanthoxylum schinifolium also reduced the fishy flavor of mackerel.
One of the most critical and essential procedures in the interpretation of gravity and magnetic data is to separate the anomaly due to the specific geologic structure from the summation of effects from a broad variety of geologic sources, especially those of different depths. Separation of the residual anomaly from the regional field is the most simple case of the vertical separation. If the anomaly due to a layer of specific depth can be separated or the depth of the separated layer can be quantitatively determined, it may deserve the separation-sounding. We suggest a wavelength filter whose cutoff frequency is determined by log-power spectrum analysis, as a separation-sounding filter. We applied this filter both to synthetic and real gravity data acquired at Heunghae area, and compared the results with those of Jacobsen's upward continuation filter. These showed that the proposed separation-sounding filter could be a useful tool for interpretation of the vertical geologic structure by stripping the gravity effects of geologic sources down to the desired depth.
The noise from the elevated lines of rail transit has become a growing problem. This paper presents a new method for the rapid prediction of the structure-borne noise from steel or composite bridges, based on the receptance and Statistical Energy Analysis (SEA), which is essential to the study of the generation mechanism and the design of a low-noise bridge. First, the vertical track-bridge coupled vibration equations in the frequency domain are constructed by simplifying the rail and the bridge as an infinite Timoshenko beam and a finite Euler-Bernoulli beam respectively. Second, all wheel/rail forces acting upon the track are computed by taking a moving wheel-rail roughness spectrum as the excitation to the train-track-bridge system. The displacements of rail and bridge are obtained by substituting wheel/rail forces into the track-bridge coupled vibration equations, and all spring forces on the bridge are calculated by multiplying the stiffness by the deformation of each spring. Then, the input power to the bridge in the SEA model is derived from spring forces and the bridge receptance. The vibration response of the bridge is derived from the solution to the power balance equations of the bridge, and then the structure-borne noise from the bridge is obtained. Finally, a tri-span continuous steel-concrete composite bridge is taken as a numerical example, and the theoretical calculations in terms of the vibration and noise induced by a passing train agree well with the field measurements, verifying the method. The influence of various factors on wheel/rail and spring forces is investigated to simplify the train-track-bridge interaction calculation for predicting the vibration and noise from steel or composite bridges.

As the complexity of an electronic device and the reduction of its operating voltage is progressing, susceptibility test of the chip and module for internal or external noises is essential. Although the immunity compliance of the chip was served with IEC 62132-4 Direct Power Injection method as an industry standard, in fact, EM immunity of the chip is influenced by their Power Domain Network (PDN). This paper evaluates the EM noise tolerance of a PLL and compares their noise transfer characteristics to the PLL on various PCB boards. To make differences of the PDNs of PCBs, various PCBs with or without LDO and with several types of capacitors are tested. For evaluation of discrepancies between EM characteristics of an IC only and the IC on real boards, the analysis of the noise transfer characteristics according to the PDNs shows that it gives important information for the design having robust EM characteristics. DPI measurement results show that greatly improved immunity of the PLL in the low-frequency region according to using the LDO and a frequency change of the PLL according to the DPI could also check with TEM cell measurement spectrum.

The Ka-band cloud radar (KCR) has been operated by the National Institute of Meteorological Research (NIMR) of Korea Meteorological Administration (KMA) at Boseong National Center for Intensive Observation of severe weather since 2013. Evaluation of data quality is an essential process to further analyze cloud information. In this study, we estimate the measurement error and the sampling uncertainty to evaluate data quality. By using vertically pointing data, the statistical uncertainty is obtained by calculating the standard deviation of each radar parameter. The statistical uncertainties decrease as functions of sampling number. The statistical uncertainties of horizontal and vertical reflectivities are identical (0.28 dB). On the other hand, the statistical uncertainties of Doppler velocity (spectrum width) are 2.2 times (1.6 times) larger at the vertical channel. The reflectivity calibration of KCR is also performed using X-band vertically pointing radar (VertiX) and 2-dimensional video disdrometer (2DVD). Since the monitoring of calibration values is useful to evaluate radar condition, the variation of calibration is monitored for five rain events. The average of calibration bias is 10.77 dBZ and standard deviation is 3.69 dB. Finally, the statistical characteristics of cloud properties have been investigated during two months in autumn using calibrated reflectivity. The percentage of clouds is about 26% and 16% on September to October. However, further analyses are required to derive general characteristics of autumn cloud in Korea.
The development of low-k materials is essential for modern semiconductor processes to reduce the cross-talk, signal delay and capacitance between multiple layers. The effect of the $CH_4$ concentration on the formation of SiOC(-H) films and their dielectric characteristics were investigated. SiOC(-H) thin films were deposited on Si(100)/$SiO_2$/Ti/Pt substrates by plasma-enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) with $SiH_4$, $CO_2$ and $CH_4$ gas mixtures. After the deposition, the SiOC(-H) thin films were annealed in an Ar atmosphere using rapid thermal annealing (RTA) for 30min. The electrical properties of the SiOC(-H) films were then measured using an impedance analyzer. The dielectric constant decreased as the $CH_4$ concentration of low-k SiOC(-H) thin film increased. The decrease in the dielectric constant was explained in terms of the decrease of the ionic polarization due to the increase of the relative carbon content. The spectrum via Fourier transform infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy showed a variety of bonding configurations, including Si-O-Si, H-Si-O, Si-$(CH_3)_2$, Si-$CH_3$ and $CH_x$ in the absorbance mode over the range from 650 to $4000\;cm^{-1}$. The results showed that dielectric properties with different $CH_4$ concentrations are closely related to the (Si-$CH_3$)/[(Si-$CH_3$)+(Si-O)] ratio.
Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) is a rare disorder characterized by the triad of microangiopathic hemolytic anemia, thrombocytopenia, and acute renal failure. HUS arises from a wide spectrum of conditions, and chemotherapeutic agents have been reported to be associated with HUS, including Mitomycin, Cisplatin, Bleomycin, and Gemcitabine. A 76-year-old man treated with Gemcitabine due to non-small cell lung cancer developed clinical and laboratory findings compatible with HUS. Gemcitabine was ceased and hemodialysis and plasma exchange were utilized and he recovered. A high level of suspicion for HUS is necessary when cancer patients are treated with Gemcitabine, and prompt recognition and treatment are also essential.

In this paper the system performance degradation resulting from nonlinear transmitter power amplifier which is essential to increase the efficiency is analysed in a CDMA system. The power amplifier is modeled by its AM-AM, AM-PM characteristics. The effects of power amplifier's nonlinearity such as intersymbol interference, phase distonion on the RF system performance were visualized by examining the distorted time domain waveforms, signal vector constellation. And through the investigation of the power spectrum density of the transmitted signal, spectral regrowth or sideband regrowth which is result from amplitude distortion can be seen. All these characteristics result in BER performance degradation due to other user interferences and intersymbol interference. The analysis technique described here applies not only to power amplifier but also to any other nonlinear components such as mixers and switches. Also the effects of adjacent channel interference and supurious emission can be analysed between different systems.

In the characteristic of the brain malignant, the blood vessels and tumors have the same color and shape, and the boundary distinction is not clear, Therefore, it is difficult to observe the naked eye. Because of the high invasiveness, the risk of recurrence is high. Therefore, complete resection of the tumor is essential. The method for distinguishing the boundary between blood vessels and tumors is a fluorescence contrast method using indocyanine green (ICG), a fluorescence contrast agent. In ICG, the concentration range analysis is very important because the fluorescence expression state varies depending on the concentration. However, since the analysis result of the fluorescence expression condition is insufficient according to the current concentration, this paper proposes by analyzing the initial protocol of the concentration range. 780 nm infrared light was irradiated to the ICG sample to observe the fluorescence expression through a near infrared (NIR) camera. The wavelength is measured by using a spectrum instrument (ocean view) to observe the fluorescence expression wavelength of 811nm. As a result of analyzing the mol concentration according to each sample, the fluorescence expression range was found to be 16.15-0.16M and the optimum fluorescence concentration on the brightest part was found to be 3.23-0.81M.

The explicit finite element method is an essential tool for solving large problems with severe nonlinear characteristics, but its results can be difficult to interpret. In particular, it can be impossible to evaluate its acceleration responses because of severe discontinuity, extreme noise or aliasing. We suggest a new post-processing method for transient responses and their response spectra. We propose smoothing methods using a Gaussian kernel without in depth knowledge of the complex frequency characteristics; such methods are successfully used in the filtering of digital signals. This smoothing can be done by measuring the velocity results and monitoring the response spectra. Gaussian kernel smoothing gives a better smoothness and representation of the peak values than other approaches do. The floor response spectra can be derived using smoothed accelerations for the design.
