The central strategy in tissue engineering involves a biomaterial scaffold as a delivery carrier of cells and a depot to deliver bioactive molecules. The ability of scaffolds to control cellular response to direct particular repair and regeneration processes is essential to obtain functional tissue engineering constructs. Therefore, many efforts have been made to understand local interactions of cells with their extracellular matrix (ECM) microenvironment and exploit these interactions for designing an ideal scaffold mimicking the chemical, physiological, and structural features of native ECM. ECM is composed of a number of biomacromolecules including proteins, glycosaminoglycans, and proteoglycans, which are assembled together to form complex 3-dimensional network. Electrospinning is a process to generate highly porous 3-dimensional fibrous structure with nano to micro scaled-diameter, which can closely mimic the structure of ECM. In this presentation, our approaches to develop biomimetic electrospun fibers for modulation of cell function will be discussed.

Angiosarcoma of the brain, either primary or metastatic is extremely rare. Moreover, angiosarcoma metastazing to the brain is also highly unlike to occur when comparing with metastases to the other organs. Thus, an ideal treatment strategy has not been established. A 67-year-old man with past surgical history of a scalp angiosarcoma underwent surgical resection of intracranial invasion. Because of wide scalp flap excision and resultant poor vascularity of the scalp flap, additional radiation was not provided. Because adjuvant therapy is impossible due to poor scalp condition, more careful but ample resection of the primary lesion is essential to conduct initial operation.

본 논문은 현대사회의 이상적 교육방법으로 구성주의 교수-학습이론의 의의와 특징을 밝히고 구성주의 교육방법과 교육환경이 학교도서관에 어떻게 관련을 가지는지 논하였다. 또한 구성주의 교육방법과 관련하여 우리나라 학교도서관이 개선되어야 할 점을 제시함으로서 학교교육의 문제해결에 학교도서관이 기여하는 바를 논하였다.

The environmental education with ideal teaching tools (e.g., a small-scaled experimental kit) is essential for raising the public's, especially student's, awareness of many environmental issues. This study was undertaken to develop a do-it-yourself model instrument of acid rain and estimating its applicability to the environmental education. Our novel model tool consists of a body (17 cm width, 6 cm depth, and 17 cm height), an acid gas injector, acid four rain reservoirs, and a drop supply pump. An alternative model instrument that can be more readily assembled was also suggested. Based on our novel approach, we carried out several model experiments with educatees (i.e., high school and college students, and adults). The results of questionnaires indicated that educatees achieved a very deep understanding of acid rain through an experienced model experiment. A 77 to 89% of educatees experienced the reappearance experiment of acid rain by our model instrument felt that it was very useful as a teaching tool of environmental education.

The rapid growth of the online information services causes the problem of information explosion. Automatic text summarization techniques are essential for dealing with this problem. There are different approaches to text summarization and different systems have used one or a combination of them. Considering the wide variety of summarization techniques there should be an evaluation mechanism to assess the process of summarization. The evaluation of automatic summarization is important and challenging, since in general it is difficult to agree on an ideal summary of a text. Currently evaluating summaries is a laborious task that could not be done simply by human so automatic evaluation techniques are appearing to help this matter. In this paper, we will take a look at summarization approaches and examine summarizers' general architecture. The importance of evaluation methods is discussed and the need to find better automatic systems to evaluate summaries is studied.

In our current information-based society in which knowledge is a fundamental asset to production, the capability to utilize information and produce knowledge with the use of information technology (IT) has become essential to learning. Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) have recently been introduced in light of such changes and are recognized as an alternative to open education. MOOCs' capabilities are being acknowledged in lifelong education in terms of reeducation and knowledge sharing, and also in terms of improving teaching quality, and improving university students' levels of creativity and integrated thinking by supporting high-level content and teaching. Therefore, this study presents an extended research model that combines information system (IS) continuance and task-technology fit models. Our study researches previous literature, revealing factors of continuous use after accepting MOOCs from the learner's perspective, and analyzes the model empirically. The ideal environment for MOOCs learners is evaluated, and a strategic approach to the successful settlement and diffusion of MOOCs is presented based on this study's findings.

Glass Envelope is vulnerable to insulation performance and controling solar radiation. Insulation performance is consistently improving these days due to recent building energy saving policy in South Korea. However, solar control at glass envelope is still limited to meeting requirements of ideal high performance. Generally, Inside Blind plays an important role of solar control instead of glass which have a characteristics of transmitted solar. Unfortunately, most of them are controled by occupants and which method is not resonable in building energy. Therefore, achieving the high efficient performance building, automated control blind system considering reduction of building loads have to be adopted. Furthermore, considering occupants visual comport about removing discomfort glare is also essential.

This study is presenting the method for an effective data transmission in MAGLEV which is now tested and intends to provide for an intelligent operation of signal system in future. To exchange a lot of information, it is ideal to adopt a digital system and a micro-based system is essential for these purposes. FSK modulation and HDLC protocol are adopted on this study and information line assembly which is used as the information exchange, as the speech communication, and as the detection of speed and position is constructed in one unit. Actually this study is produced academic achievements of the data transmission system of MAGLEV train and an advanced method of intelligent operation in future railway system.

Impedance calculations of electric railway traction systems is essential to define characteristics and to design it. The self impedance is defined voltage drop rate per unit length, the mutual impedance is represented as a voltage induced to transmission line from transmission line. The self and the mutual impedance are influenced by ground return currents. The earth is considered as a semi-infinitely extended non-ideal conductor. The current of transmission line produces earth current induced magnetically and it flow through a path having minimum impedance. Carson proposed the impedance calculation formula using wave equations and magnetic field equations. Though the formula have an improper equation, that is still used as a standard impedance calculation method. This paper introduced an impedance calculation method that the complex depth of earth return method assumes that the current in conductor returns through an imagined earth depth path located directly under original conductor at a depth of. In this paper, we showed that this proposed method has a closed form and is easier than Carson's.

This paper attempts to examine the degree of chef's satisfaction on food purchasing in 5-star hotel in Seoul. Nowadays, hotel industry in Korea is becoming more and more competitive and the hotel products higher education. Among a range of divisions in deluxe hotel in Seoul, in particular, a F&B division has been more profitable than the others. It is widely accepted that the proportion of revenue obtained from F&B sales is higher than that of revenue from room sales. However, under the IMF intervention, hotels in Korea trend to depend on room sales rather than F&B sales in terms of profit. In such a environment, it is essential that F&B division should carefully seek for an appropriate purchasing procedure which will affect an organizational structure and allow the company to fulfill its goals. Moreover, it is timely their performance and quality of services through ideal food purchasing procedure. In this paper, the author uses a survey technique distributed to approximately 200 chefs who work at 5-stars hotel in Seoul. The author expects that this paper will contribute to the researchers or practitioners who might need a reference on the food purchasing system.
