가열처리 방법에 따른 쑥의 정유 성분 및 함량 분석 (Analyses of Essential Oil Components and Contents in Artemisia sp According to Heat Treatments)

  • 수증기 증류법을 이용하여 약용 쑥으로부터 정유를 추출 하였다. 정유는 GC-MS를 이용하여 분석하였다. 가열처리 방법은 닦음에서 온도 $80^{\circ}C$, $110^{\circ}C$, $230^{\circ}C$, 처리 시간은 6분, 10분, 14분, 데침 $100^{\circ}C$에서 1분, 2분, 5분, oven 건조 ($50^{\circ}C$)는 5분으로 하였다. 정유함량은 대조군인 생쑥에서 가장 높았고 다음이 덖음의 낮은 온도 짧은 처리 시간에서 높게 나타났다. 가장 많이 나타난 정유 성분은 eucalyptol, cyclohexadience, phenol, terpineol, caryophyllene.이다.

Predicting Unknown Composition of a Mixture Using Independent Component Analysis

  • A suitable representation for the conceptual simplicity of the data in statistics and signal processing is essential for a subsequent analysis such as prediction, pattern recognition, and spatial analysis. Independent component analysis (ICA) is a statistical method for transforming an observed high-dimensional multivariate data into statistically independent components. ICA has been applied increasingly in wide fields of spectrum application since ICA is able to extract unknown components of a mixture from spectra. We focus on application of ICA for separating independent sources and predicting each composition using extracted components. The theory of ICA is introduced and an application to a metal surface spectra data will be described, where subsequent analysis using non-negative least square method is performed to predict composition ratio of each sample. Furthermore, some simulation experiments are performed to demonstrate the performance of the proposed approach.

계절상품 판매매출액 시계열의 계절 조정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Seasonal Adjustment of Time Series for Seasonal New Product Sales)

  • The seasonal adjustment is an essential process in analyzing the time series of economy and business. There are various methods to adjust seasonal effect such as moving average, extrapolation, smoothing and X11. One of the powerful adjustment methods is X11-ARIMA Model which is popularly used in Korea. This method was delivered from Canada. However, this model has been developed to be appropriate for Canadian and American environment. Therefore, we need to review whether the Xl1-ARIMA Model could be used properly in Korea. In this study, we have applied the method to the annual sales of refrigerator sales in A electronic company. We appreciated the adjustment by result analyzing the time series components such as seasonal component, trend-cycle component, and irregular component, with the proposed method.

알루미늄 열간 압연공정의 동력 전달용 커플링에 대한 최적화 설계 (Design Optimization on End Coupling as a Power Transmission Component for Aluminum Hot Rolling Process)

  • The End Coupling is main component of the aluminum hot roll process. The End Coupling is used for transmission of rotational power with heavy-duty load. Fracture of the End Coupling cause serious economic losses because an End Coupling is a very expensive component and it takes a long time to repair it. Therefore, preventing the destruction of the End Coupling is essential for ensuring a long mechanical life cycle. In this paper, the parametric study on the End Coupling was performed in order to minimize maximum stress under operation loads. To verify the interference of spindle assembly with modified End Coupling, kinematics simulation was performed by applying the various combination type and dynamic boundary condition of the spindle assembly. The interference of optimized model was not occurred during combination process and driving process. As a result of an optimum design for life extension on End Coupling, the maximum stress of modified End Coupling was lower than that of the initial model by 26%.

대학생들이 서술한 건강개념에 관한 분석 (Analysis of Health Concept Perceived by the University Students in Korea)

  • Health is an important concept within the health component of nursing paradigm. And health concept is a core component to determine health behavior according to individual's health perception. Health habits during the period of university student will be affecting health behavior of the adult period. The purpose of this study was to analyze health concept of the university students in Korea and to provide the strategy of health care for the university students. The method of this research was a descriptive study using a self-report questionaire. The subjects were 301 students of university and their age was from 19 to 30. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Health concepts perceived by the university students were 'wholeness without difficulty', 'vitality', 'harmony', 'comfort', 'Good condition and fitness of physical and psychological condition', 'soundness', 'happiness', 'enabling' 'smoothness'. 2. Health was perceived by the subjects as an essential and an important component of life.

Variation Stack-Up Analysis Using Monte Carlo Simulation for Manufacturing Process Control and Specification

  • In modern manufacturing, a product consists of many components created by different processes. Variations in the individual component dimensions and in the processes may result in unacceptable final assemblies. Thus, engineers have increased pressure to properly set tolerance specifications for individual components and to control manufacturing processes. When a proper variation stack-up analysis is not performed for all of the components in a functional system, all component parts can be within specifications, but the final assembly may not be functional. Thus, in order to improve the performance of the final assembly, a proper variation stack-up analysis is essential for specifying dimensional tolerances and process control. This research provides a detailed case example of the use of variation stack-up analysis using a Monte Carlo simulation method to improve the defect rate of a complex process, which is the commutator brush track undercut process of an armature assembly of a small motor. Variations in individual component dimensions and process mean shifts cause high defect rate, Since some dimensional characteristics have non-normal distributions and the stack-up function is non-linear, the Monte Carlo simulation method is used.

복셀화를 통한 디자인 데이타로부터의 조립순서 결정 (Assembly Sequence Determination from Design Data Using Voxelization)

  • Determination of assembly sequence of components is a key issue in assembly operation. Although a number of articles dealing with assembly sequence determination have appeared, an efficient and general methodology for complex products has yet to appear. The objective of this paper is to present the problems and models used to generate assembly sequence from design data. An essential idea of this research is to acquire a finite number of voxels from any complex geometric entity, such as 3D planar polygons, hollow spheres, cylinders. cones, tori, etc. In order to find a feasible assembly sequence, the following four steps are needed: (1) The components composing of an assembly product are identified and then the geometric entities of each component are extracted. (2) The geometric entities extracted in the first step are translated into a number of voxels. (3) All the mating or coupling relations between components are found by considering relations between voxels. (4) The components to be disassembled are determined using CCGs (Component Coupling Graph).

  • Knowledge of the detailed solar radiation components are essential for modeling many solar systems. This is particularly the case for applications that concentrate the incident energy to attain high photo-dynamic efficiency achievable only at the higher intensities. In order to estimate the performance of concentrating solar systems, it is necessary to know the intensity of the beam radiation, as only this component can be concentrated. The Korea Institute of Energy Research(KIER) has began collecting detailed solar radiation component data since August, 1988. KIER's component data will be extensively used by solar system users or designers as well as by research institutes.

Additionally, in order to improve the result of seasonal adjusted time series, we suggest the demand forecasting method base on autocorrelation and seasonality with the X11-ARIMA PROC.
