Study on Error Check and State Reduction of State Diagram Using Logic Programming (논리 프로그래밍을 사용한 상태도의 오류검출과 상태 축소에 관한 연구)

  • This paper is concerned with the techniques of error check and reduction of state diagram using logic programming. Error check program aims to check not only syntax errors but also semantic errors. And reduction program optimizes the state diagram by finding the redundant equivalence states and removing those from the set of states. The input of both program is state diagram represented as state table form. The output of error check program is error comment. The output of reduction program is equivalence reduced state table. Both programs are implemented using prolog. Prolog has very powerful pattern matching, and its automatic back-tracking capabilities facilitate easy-to-write error check and reduction programs.

  • This paper proposes the model order reduction with pass band error reduction in the frequency domain of discrete time linear systems. The algorithm is the new method of reduced order model which reduces passband error by changing controllability and observability gramian used with weighted functions. A numerical example shows that this algorithm has lower passband error than balanced w&l and weighted function characteristics in frequency domain.

  • When the generalized singular perturbation method is used for model reduction, the state variables of the original system is reconstructed from the reduced order model. The state reduction error is defined, which shows how well the reconstructed state variables approximate the state variables of the original system equation.

  • In this paper we will introduce an posture error reduction algorithm for Mobile Robot. We classified odometry error into two categories. and focus on systematic odometry error correction only. Because it is the primary reason for mobile robot navigation. For this procedure we used some robot specifications and modeled robot behavior. Through some experiment, we could obtain new system specs. After modeling, Robot navigation precision was improved.

  • Dual-wavelength holography has better axial range than single-wavelength holography, allowing unambiguous phase imaging but at the expense of increased noise. We have studied error reduction in dual wavelength holography using a modified fine map. The fine map is successful in measurement and has shown error reduction when the height of the object is less than the appled wavelength, but is unstable when the step height is larger than that wavelength. We have modified the fine map and we have found that the modified fine map was successful in measurement and error reduction even though the height of object was larger than the wavelength.

  • This paper presents a research model, which identifies a relationship between medical error reduction, efficiency of organizational systems, and employee satisfaction with organizational support. The proposed model was tested through hypotheses, based on data collected from 210 respondents from the medical staff of large -sized (i.e., more than 500 beds) residential hospitals in cities of South Korea. The results of the study showed that medical error reduction is associated with corrective system and employee satisfaction with organizational support. Therefore, it is very important that organizations improve their employees' satisfaction by providing sufficient support (e.g., information support and sharing, work guide book, etc.) for their work. In addition, in organizational systems, the corrective system has positive relationship with medical error reduction. In terms of corrective procedures, leaders or managers can make improvements by providing and supporting a friendly work environment where errors may be reported without blame and discussed in order to be corrected.

  • This paper is on weighted model reduction using structurally balanced truncation. For a given weighted(single or double-sided) transfer function, a state space realization with the linear fractional transformation form is obtained. Then we prove that two block diagonal LMI(linear matrix inequality) solutions always exist, and it is possible to get a reduced order model with guaranteed stability and a priori error bound. Finally, two examples are used to show the validity of proposed weighted reduction method, and the method is compared with other existing methods.

  • This paper proposes the multi-level vector error diffusion for smear artifact reduction in the boundary regions. Smear artifact mainly results from a large accumulation of quantization error. Accordingly, to reduce these artifacts, the proposed method excludes the large quantization error in the error diffusion process by comparing the magnitude of the error vector with predetermined first threshold. In addition, if the vector norm of the difference between the error adjusted input vector and the primary co]or that has minimum vector norm for the error adjusted input vector is larger than second threshold, the error is excluded. As a result, the proposed method reduce smear artifact in the boundary region and produces visually pleasing halftone pattern.

  • This paper presents measurement error reduction technique of touch and step voltage of grounding system based on numerical analysis. When measuring touch and step voltage of grounding system, auxiliary current probes should be located at suitable places. However, the auxiliary probes can not be located at suitable places in such cases as there are buildings and pavements. Therefore, in this paper, we provided measurement error reduction technique of touch and step voltage of grounding system according to the positions of auxiliary probes and angle between auxiliary probes. Also, measurement error analyses of touch and step voltage of grounding system have been conducted using more than one current probe. Based on these analyses, recommended positions of auxiliary probes within allowable measurement errors were presented.

  • This paper proposes a novel crest factor reduction (CFR) algorithm to be deployed on WCDMA basestation. Generally speaking, it is well described that the reduction of peak-to-average ratio (PAR) yields the possibility of using low cost power amplifier such that the basesation becomes economic However, the simple reduction of PAR could degrade the signal quality measured by either peak code domain error (PCDE) or error vector measurement (EVM), and the level of channel interference constrained by adjacent channel leakage ratio (ACLR). Regarding these imperfections, this paper introduces an effective CFR algorithm in which the function of filter-dependent CFR (FDCFR) incorporated with the histogram-based waterfilling code domain compensation (HBWCDC) carries out. To verify the performance of the proposed CFR technique, substantial simulations including comparative works are conducted with obeying W-CDMA basestation verification specification. To exploit the superiority, the performance of the proposed method is tentatively compared with that associated to the simple memoryless clipping method and the memory-required filter-dependent clipping method.
