  • Green's relations are five equivalence relations that characterize the elements of a semigroup in terms of the principal ideals. The J relation is one of Green's relations. Although there are known algorithms that can compute Green relations, they are not useful for finding all J relations in the semigroup of all $n{\times}n$ Boolean matrices. Its computation requires multiplication of three Boolean matrices for each of all possible triples of $n{\times}n$ Boolean matrices. The size of the semigroup of all $n{\times}n$ Boolean matrices grows exponentially as n increases. It is easy to see that it involves exponential time complexity. The computation of J relations over the $5{\times}5$ Boolean matrix is left an unsolved problem. The paper shows theorems that can reduce the computation time, discusses an algorithm for efficient J relation computation whose design reflects those theorems and gives its execution results.

  • We studied the effects on the ignitability of mixture, the combustion duration, and the maximum combustion pressure, of various initial combustion factors such as temperature, pressure, and each equivalence ratio in order to identify the combustion characteristics of lean mixture and improve ignitability through the proper control of the ignition energy. It is concluded that there is an optimum turbulent intensity that enables the combustion to have the best ignitability and the shortest duration under each equivalent ratio, and the combustion duration is only dependent upon the distribution and magnitude of discharge energy within the limit of inflammability.

  • The object of this study is a deriving the relations according to the measuring locations between the chemiluminescence and the flame state at commercial burner. In this study, the flame chemiluminescence of the flame of commercial burner is measured using a photomultiplier tube and the optical band-pass filter. In addition, the contour of the chemiluminescence of the flame is measured using the common CCD camera and the optical band-pass filters, and the acquired images is converted by the simple image processing as a matrix form. The results showed that certain relationship between optical data and equivalence ratio exists, and the contour according to the measuring location of the flame chemiluminescence is different by equivalence ratio.

  • A fuzzy relation between X and Y as fuzzy subset of X × Y was proposed by Zadeh. Subsequently, several researchers have applied the notion of fuzzy subsets to various branches of mathematics and computer sciences. Murali an Nemitz have studied fuzzy relations connected with fuzzy equivalence relations and fuzzy functions. Ounalli and Jaoua defined a fuzzy difunctional relation on a set. difunctional relations are versatile mathematical tool, which can be used in software design and in database theory. Their work have revealed the usefulness of difunctional relations in program specification and in defining program correctness. The main goal of this paper is to define a fuzzy deterministic relation on a set, characterize the fuzzy deterministic relation as its level subsets and investigate some properties in connection with fuzzy deterministic relation. In particular we prove that a fuzzy relation R is fuzzy deterministic iff R is a fuzzy function.

  • In this paper, we define intuitionistic fuzzy subalgebras of B-algebras which is related to several classes of algebras such as BCI/BCK-algebras. We could obtain some important results for the homomorphic image and equivalence relations on IFS(X).

  • This paper analytically proves the equivalence between two main oscillator phase noise theories, which are based on the ISF, and Floquet vector, respectively. For this purpose, this study obtains the power spectral density matrix from the ISF-based phase noise theory. As a result, one can prove that the power spectral density matrix obtained from the ISF-based phase noise theory is essentially equivalent to the power spectral density matrix presented by the Floquet vector-based phase noise theory, which manifests the equivalence of the two main theories. This study is intended to provide deeper insight into the relations between the two main theories.
