본 실험에서는 대표적인 방향족 화합물이며 유기용매로 널리 이용됨에 따라 환경문제를 유발하는 벤젠을 포함한 방향족 유기혼합물에 대한 고액평형을 자체 제작한 장치로 정적방법에 의해 측정하였다. Benzene+p-xylene계화 1-dodecanol+cyclohexane계로서 실험방법의 정확성과 재현성을 확인하였으며, benzene+aniline, benzene+nitrobenzene, p-xylene+cyclohexane계의 새로운 고액평형데이터를 측정하고 수정된 UNIFAC(Dortmund)식에 의한 계산값과도 비교하였다.

We introduce a two-stage game theoretic model to support decision making processes for product Positioning and pricing in competitive environment. In the first stage, firms decide on entry and product position, in the second stage, firms compete with price. 'Alpha rule' is used as a choice model. Demand parameters of the choice model are estimated by conjoint analysis. We investigate conditions for the existence of Nash price equilibria in the pricing game. Nash equilibria in the entry and positioning game are produced using a concept of stable sets. An example of the online game industry in Korea is examined.

In this paper, a predator-prey model with stage structure and distributed delay is investigated. Mathematical analyses of the model equation with regard to boundedness of solutions, nature of equilibria, permanence, extinction and stability are performed. By the comparison theorem, a set of easily verifiable sufficient conditions are obtained for the global asymptotic stability of nonnegative equilibria of the model. Taking the product of the per-capita rate of predation and the rate of conversing prey into predator as the bifurcating parameter, we prove that there exists a threshold value beyond which the positive equilibrium bifurcates towards a periodic solution.

Several equations of state for hard-sphere chains with various perturbation terms are reviewed. For each model, three characteristic parameters are required to represent phase equilibria of normal fluids and obtained from thermodynamic properties of pure saturated liquids. The models are then compared with computer simulation data to show the effect of attractive contribution forms employed. Calculated values of vapor-liquid equilibria (VLE) of hydrocarbons that can be reproduced for each model are also compared with experimental results. An additional parameter, ${\zeta}_{KB}$, is required to represent the VLE of pure water, which is ascertained to have a strong influence on the theoretical coexistence curve.

An important aspect of the study of power system markets involves the assessment of strategic behavior of participants for maximizing their profits. In models of imperfect competition of a deregulated electricity system the key task is to find the Nash equilibrium. In this paper, the bimatrix approach for finding Nash equilibria in electricity markets is investigated. This approach determines pure and mixed equilibria using the complementarity pivot algorithm. The mixed equilibrium in the matrix approach has the equal number of non-zero property. This property makes it difficult to reproduce a smooth continuous distribution for the mixed equilibrium. This paper proposes an algorithm for adjusting the quantization value of discretization to reconstruct a continuous distribution from a discrete one.

The equilibrium dsorption of starch on activated alumina and kaolin was studied to provide the fundamental data for investigating the effect of polymer adsorption on the flocculation of solid particles. The new polymer adsor-ption model(PAH-FH) predicting the adsorption equilibria of polymers on the solid surface has been developed using the solution theory and the concepts of Gibbs dividing surface in conjunction with the Flory-Huggins eq-uation and the adsorption behaviors of polymers were examined by this model The accurate adsorption equilibrium data of starch on alumina and kaolin were determined within the tempera-ture range of 298-318K by the ignition loss method. Using these experimenta data the model developed in this study was evaluated. It was shown that this model could predict the adsorption isotherm more accura-tely than the Langmuir model as well as could describe the characteristics of the adsorption equilibria through model parameters.

Many researchers focus on indium contained semiconductors and alloy compounds for their various applications. Electrochemists want to obtain indium contained compounds simply via one-step electrodeposition. First of all, electrochemistry of constituent elements must be understood in order to develop the best condition for the electrodeposition of indium contained compounds. We will review the electrochemistry of indium. Equilibria between indium metal and indium ions and the standard electrode potentials of the equilibria will be reviewed. The electrochemical reactions of indium species are affected by surrounding conditions. Thus dependences of electrochemical behaviors of indium metal and indium ions on various parameters will be reviewed.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the local asymptotic stability of equilibria, the periodic nature of solutions, the existence of unbounded solutions and the global behavior of solutions of the fractional difference equation $$x_{n+1}=\frac{^{{\alpha}x}n-1(k+1)}{{\beta}+{\gamma}x^p_{n-k}x^q_{n-(k+2)}}$$, $$n=0,1,{\dots}$$ where the parameters ${\alpha}$, ${\beta}$, ${\gamma}$, p, q are non-negative numbers and the initial values $x_{-(k+2)}$,$x_{-(k+1)}$, ${\dots}$, $x_{-1}$, $x_0{\in}\mathb{R}^+$.

The intermetallic compound $Ni_3Al$ causes a peritectic reaction at the composition and temperature very close to the eutectic reaction in Ni-Al system. Although the phase diagram accepted for this system by ASM Handbook has the eutectic forming between the $\gamma$ and $\gamma$ phases, directional solidification study has shown that the eutectic occurs between $\beta$ and $\gamma$. This work examines the liquidus region using quenched, directional solidification experiments that preserve the microstructrues formed at the solidification front. It is also shown that under certain composition and growth conditions a metastable eutectic between the $\beta$ and $\gamma$ phases forms in this system. Finding of the metastable eutectic provided an important information to understand the phase equilibria near the $Ni_3Al$ composition.

아크릴로니트릴 제조공정 중 부산물로 생성되는 물과 아세토니트릴 공비혼합물을 분비, 회수하기 위하여 혼합용매로서 toluene-ethylacetate를 선택하여 $25^{\circ}C$에서 4성분계 toluene(1)-water(2)-acetonitrile(3)-ethylacetate(4)에 대한 액-액평형 데이터를 구하였다. Tie-line 계산치를 예측하기 위하여 실험치를 UNIFA 모델식의 파라미터와 상호연관시켜 비교하였다. 또한 용매의 성능을 비교하기 위하여 분배계수 및 선택도를 고찰하였다.
