Primary anterior teeth requiring extensive restorative therapy due to caries, trauma or developmental defects can present a particularly challenging problem for the pediatric dentist. The ideal restorative technique would combine strength, durability esthetics and efficiency in placement. Couple these concerns with the technical difficulties of operating on children with behavior management problems, and the dentist is left with the difficult task of choosing from a variety of restorative options. Restorative modalities currently in use to treat primary anterior teeth include bonding with composite resin as in celluloid strip crowns, conventional stainless steel crowns, open-faced stainless steel crowns, commercially and chairside veneered stainless steel crowns and epoxy-coated stainless steel crowns. Each of these techniques presents technical, functional or esthetic compromises that complicate their efficient and effective usage. This is a report of the results obtained at the Department of Pediatric Dentistry, College of Dentistry Seoul National University, through the use of these various methods of treating primary anterior teeth.
The current test procedure for transfer length, which determine transfer length by measuring concrete strain, has an actual bond stress state in the prestressed pretensioned member : however, it is difficult to determine the bond properties of maximum bond stress and bond stiffness with this method. It is also difficult for design engineer to understand and select a correct safety criterion from the widely distributed results of such a ransfer test alone. An alternative testing procedure is provided here to determine the bond properties without measuring the concrete strain. In this test the bond stress is measured directly by creating a similar boundary condition within the transfer length in a real beam during the transfer of prestressing force. The prestressing force was released step by step by step from the unloading side. The release of force induces a swelling of the strand at the unloading side of concrete block, bonding force in the block, and a bond slip of the strand toward the other side of the block. Two center-hole load cells are used to record the end loads until the point of general bond slip(maximum bond stress). It is suggested that this test procedure be performed with the ordinary transfer test when determining the transfer length in a prestressed, pretensioned concrete beam.
Generally beam design depends on the yielding and maximum strength of each member varying with its section shape. Web plate of H-shape beam has not been substituted with glass plate, because it is known that its strength and heat properties are different and it is limited to substitute the existing steel web with glass element. Ceiling height of each room should be decreased with more than 60-80cm due to the beam. Differently from this condition, glass web beam has a good point to see through it and sunshine can be penetrate into the other size especially when it is installed as of outside wall. And also, it can be safer due to controlling room inside easier, if the strength is applicate. This study is to show some applicability after finding out the properties using the test. The test members with a size of $1,600{\times}200{\times}300{\times}9mm$ being SS41 rolled steel having THK 9mm flange while having 8,10mm and reinforced glass 12mm thickness is bonded with epoxy bond under the condition of temperature $28^{\circ}C$, humidity 50%, bonding power 24Mpa. It is show reinforced glass has 5 times of fracture stress more than the common glass but $50{\sim}150%$ difference between these 2 kinds of glass was shown. Reinforce glass did not support the original upper flange after fracture but the common glass did the upper flange after unloading. Generally reinforced glass is stronger than the common one but the common glass having a part of crack on it, compared with reinforced glass having the overall fracture could be more useful in case of needing ductility.

This study focuses on the investigation of bond strength of magnesium potassium phosphate cement mortar(MKPC) according to moisture condition of substrate. Tensile bond test, shear bond test and interfacial bond test are adopted for evaluating the adhesion characteristics of MKPC to conventional cement mortar substrate. The main experimental variables are test methods and moisture levels of substrate. Because the moisture condition of the substrate may be critical to achieving bond, optimum moisture condition for a conventional concrete substrate has evaluated in this study. The results are as follows ; The effects of moisture condition at substrate into the bonding of MKPC are less different than polymer cement mortar and epoxy mortar. But the saturated and surface dry condition is the most appropriate moisture level among the considered, followed by saturated condition and wet condition. Thus, an adequate moisture level of substrate for MKPC is essential for good bond strength.

In this work, the diglycidylether of bisphenol A (DGEBA) and modified polyurethane (PU) blends were initiated by N-benzylpyrazinium hexafluoroantimonate (BPH). The cure and fracture toughness of neat DGEBA with the addition of PU were investigated. The cure properties of DGEBA/PU blend system were examined by DSC and near-IR measurements. The fracture touhtness were investigated by measuring the critical stress intensity factor ($K_{IC}$) and the critical strain energy release rate ($G_{IC}$). According to the results, the maximum values of owe activation energy ($E_a$) and conversion (${\alpha}$) were found at 10 phr of PU. Also the $K_{IC}$ showed a similar behavior with the results of conversion. These results were probably due to increase of crosslinking density in the blends resulted from increase of the hydrogen bonding between the hydroxyl groups of DGEBA and isocyanate groups of PU.

In this study, a UV-cured GFRP molding is made using a combination of hand lay-up and resin transfer molding, and its properties are analyzed. The molded plates produced using various vacuum pressures (0 mmHg, -450 mmHg, and -760 mmHg) are examined via a comparison of hand lay-up molding and resin transfer molding. Tests are conducted by processing tensile specimens (ASTM D-5083), flexural test specimens (ASTM D-790), and ILSS test specimens (ASTM D-2344) according to each ASTM standard with a molded plate. Similarly, the UV-cured GFRP molding is compared against GFRP using epoxy. It was confirmed that the mechanical strengths of all the specimens increased when the vacuum pressure was increased and when UV curing was applied. This is believed to be because as the vacuum pressure increases, the pores of the cured specimen are removed, thereby reducing defects, and the bonding force between the glass fiber and the resin is stronger than that of the epoxy resin. It is expected that if resin transfer molding methods and UV-cured resins are used for molding GFRP composites in industry, products with better mechanical properties and faster curing time will be produced.

This study has a different direction from the existing technology of applying recycled carbon fiber obtained by recycling waste CFRP to CFRP again. A study was conducted to utilize recycled carbon fiber as a raw material for manufacturing a carbon/carbon (C/C) composite material comprising carbon as a matrix. First, it was attempted to recycle a commonly used epoxy resin composite material through a thermal decomposition process. By applying the newly proposed oxidation-inert atmosphere conversion technology to the pyrolysis process, the residual carbon rate of 1~2% was improved to 19%. Through this, the possibility of manufacturing C/C composite materials utilizing epoxy resin was confirmed. However, in the case of carbon obtained by the oxidation-inert atmosphere controlled pyrolysis process, the degree of oxygen bonding is high, so further improvement studies are needed. In addition, short-fiber C/C composite material specimens were prepared through the crushing and disintegrating processes after thermal decomposition of waste CFRP, and the optimum process conditions were derived through the evaluation of mechanical properties.
The effect of moisture contents by salt water on the strength of composite single-lap bonded joints is investigated. The specimens were manufactured in an autoclave by secondary bonding and immersed in the 3.5% salt water of $71^{\circ}C$ for different durations to get various moisture contents; 0, 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0%(saturation). A total of 80 joint specimens were tested for 5 different moisture contents and 2 temperature environments. Test results show that while the joint strengths after the saturation of moisture decrease compared to those of dry ones, the strengths of the pre-saturated joint up to 1.0% of moisture content increase in both room and elevated temperature conditions. It is also shown that the strengths of joints tested in elevated temperature are slightly higher than the strength in room temperature by 2-5% until the moisture content reaches 1 %. In contrast, the high temperature strength of the saturated joint is about 5% lower than the room temperature strength.

RC beam of existing structures often encounter shear problems for various reasons. The shear failure of RC beam is sudden and brittle. Strengthening technique jacketing with external bonding of steel plates(or CFRP and CFS) with epoxy is many use to in practice. This study presents test results on strengthening shear deficient RC beams by external bonding of slit type steel plates. Test parameters are width, interval, length, thickness and angle of slit in steel plates. The purpose was to evaluate the reinforcing effects, failure modes and shear capacities for RC beams of strengthened with various slit type steel plates. The test result confirmed that all slit steel plates improved the stiffness and strength of the specimens significantly. Failure modes of SV series and SD series showed shear fractures and flexure fractures at ultimate state respectively. SD series were ductile rather than SV series.
The two-dimensional layered $MoS_2$ has high mobility and excellent optical properties, and there has been much research on the methods for using this for next generation electronics. $MoS_2$ is similar to graphene in that there is comparatively weak bonding through Van der Waals covalent bonding in the substrate-$MoS_2$ and $MoS_2-MoS_2$ heteromaterial as well in the layer-by-layer structure. So, on the monatomic level, $MoS_2$ can easily be exfoliated physically or chemically. During the $MoS_2$ field-effect transistor fabrication process of photolithography, when using water, the water infiltrates into the substrate-$MoS_2$ gap, and leads to the problem of a rapid decline in the material's yield. To solve this problem, an epoxy-based, as opposed to a water-based photoresist, was used in the photolithography process. In this research, a hydrophobic $MoS_2$ field effect transistor (FET) was fabricated on a hydrophilic $SiO_2$ substrate via chemical vapor deposition CVD. To solve the problem of $MoS_2$ exfoliation that occurs in water-based photolithography, a PPMA sacrificial layer and SU-8 2002 were used, and a $MoS_2$ film FET was successfully created. To minimize Ohmic contact resistance, rapid thermal annealing was used, and then electronic properties were measured.
