This study looked at the sacrifice space building in the Changbai Mountain area to a specific era in terms of the cultural landscape. The scared of Changbai Mountain how changes in history came despite the regime and national change, interpretation of the reason was the scared maintained. The results of this study are as follows. First, Replacement of the regime in the Republic of China in the Qing period, ethnic diversity, underwent a cultural acceptance. So Changbai Mountain nature of sacrifice, the divine subject has formed the changes. Second, the Qing Royal sacrifice space Wangji Temple(望祭殿) have formed a unique cultural space and the sacrifice of authoritative content with only space. The Republic of China period, a new folk beliefs were born between the defense in the face of the Han Chinese migration and settlement process. Build Sacrifice space of Rulai Temple(如來寺) and Shanshenlaobatou Temple(山神老把頭廟). Third, the spatial relationship between the priest and the Changbai Mountain area Wangji Temple(望祭殿) is the power of space as vertical space. Rulai Temple(如來寺), Shanshenlaobatou Temple(山神老把頭廟) is located in the Changbai Mountain and horizontal space was obedient to the space. Fourth, the sacrifice ritual Wangji Temple(望祭殿) of the Qing Dynasty is the only ritual sacrifice of satisfaction. It is cut off depending on the abolition of imperial power. Currently, public ritual sacrifice is commonplace rituals and sacrifices of the Qing Dynasty is only formally underway. In conclusion, as it has been maintained for the sanctity historically Changbai Mountain. Changbai Mountain sacrifice space was changing through the acceptance of the replacement of the regime and culture of ethnic offerings from a single culture of the Qing Dynasty. Currently, to form a sacrifice space and culture overlap through a mutually acceptable.

In the field of automatic door, the infrared rays and microwave sensor are much used as the important components in charge of the motor's operation control of open and close through the incoming signal of object recognition. In case of existing system that the sensor of the infrared rays and microwave are applied to the automatic door, there are many malfunctions by the infrared rays and visible rays of the sun. Because the automatic doors are usually installed outside of building in state of exposure. The environmental change by temperature difference occurs the noise of object recognition detection signal. With this problem, the hardware fault that the detection sensor is unable to follow the object moving rapidly within detection area makes the sensing blind spot. This fault should be improved as soon as possible. Because It influences safety of passengers who use the automatic doors. This paper conducted an experiment to improve the detection area by installing extra ultrasonic sensor besides existing detection sensor. So, this paper realize the computing circuit and detection algorithm which can correctly and rapidly process the access route of objects moving fast and the location area of fixed obstacles by applying detection and advantages of ultrasonic signal to the automatic doors. With this, It is proved that the automatic door applying ultrasonic sensor is improved detection area of blind spot sensing through field test and improvement plan is proposed.
Gaesung city of North Korea is meaningful because of the development of Gaesung industrial complex as a peace-building project and economical cooperation works between South Korea and North Korea. This article presents the characteristics of natural landscape of Gaesung through geographical names. This research was studied by literature analysis of North Korea, depth interview of North Korean labour and refugees, and second times fieldwork. The main results of this study are as follows. Firstly, the mountain landscape of Geasung revealed on geographical names characterized mountainousness and round shape. Especially, the places where are enclosed by mountain and streams are foggy and rocky. Next the landscape of stream characterizes sandy, unstable, and tidal river. Thirdly the fauna and flora which are reflected on geographical names are hawk, snake, tiger, homed owl, snapping turtle, chestnut tree, pine tree, pear tree, zelkova tree, and willow etcetera. The environmental conditions of habitation of these are similar to the natural environment of Gaesung. Besides, the geographical names related to soil distributed in northern mountain area of Geasung. The place names implicated cliff located on the riverside. In addition to this, the geographical name of 'Bul' implicated plain distributed in the riverside of 'Seoam' which a branch stream of 'Sacheo'. And the place names related rock located in place enclosed by mountain, river, and village. In cnclusion, Gaesung is more important to us as the Gaesung industrial complex and tourism development. But the fundamental research on Gaesung is a few because Gaesung belongs to North Korea. Therefore, this research will be useful for the control and management of Gaesung in the future.
War is one of the most tragic and destructive incidents in human history, and it destroys precious cultural heritage. However, even amidst such devastation, certain cultural heritages convey messages of peace and human rights. This study aims to provide an in-depth interpretation of the significance of cultural heritage related to war. The research method involved an extensive review of theoretical discussions on war-related heritage. Based on this foundation, 18 cases of war heritage registered as UNESCO World Heritage Sites were selected. These cases were classified and analyzed into three categories: "physical traces of war and military fortresses," "memories of war and atrocities, and messages of peace," and "restoration and reconstruction of cities destroyed by war." The results of this study confirm that war heritage encompasses not only physical evidence of war but also multilayered and complex meanings such as the memories and traumas of war, scars and healing, and conflict and reconciliation. Based on these findings, the study proposes that war heritage should be reinterpreted and expanded to represent a "heritage of peace" and transcend its role of only including physical traces of war to embody the values of peace. This demands a shift in perception that confronts the painful memories of war while transforming them into assets for building peace. Furthermore, it urges the active exploration of ways to utilize war heritage for peaceful purposes. This study distinguishes itself from existing research by deepening the academic discourse on war-related heritage and providing a theoretical foundation for the registration of war-related heritage as World Heritage Sites.

The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of the short-term weathering on the flame retardant performance of wood coated with Dancheong. Flame retardants were applied on the Dancheong coated Korean red pine. Flame retardants applied panels were layed at the two conditions of outdoor exposure and artificial aging to assess the reliability of artificial aging. Flame retardants used were commercial products developed for historical wooden buildings. Scanning electron micrographs revealed the forming of carbonized membrane by melting of flame retardant on wood surface. These carbonized membranes may help delay the further combustion of wood. Flame retardant performance was assessed by measuring heat release rate (HRR) and total heat release (THR) by cone calorimetry. There was no difference in flame retardant performance between before and after 6-month outdoor exposure tests. And also no difference in flame retardant performance between before and after 2-week artificial aging which corresponds to 6-month outdoor exposure. Both tests showed the similar results of combustion characteristics.

Closed-circuit television(CCTV) is a facility that forms the backbone of the ubiquitous services provided by the Integrated Management Center of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the Integrated Control Center of the Ministry of the Interior. However, it is installed and managed according to different laws, as it is operated and managed by each department. Moreover, because there are no regulatory grounds for unified management of CCTV, each municipality responsible for the actual management manages it based on the individual standards of each department. Thus, the purpose of this study is to develop a standardized management form to establish an integrated management plan. The author inspected the existing situation by examining the legal system and public data and through hands-on worker interviews, and discovered the managed element by reviewing the specifications of the bidding system. The management form for integrated management comprises the above requirements along with the management histories and linkage of intelligent facilities. A uniform management form for integrated management containing specifications of the CCTVs installed by various departments is created, and is easily searched for facilities to check requirements for joint use. The result of this study can contribute to building the database of facility management system for integrated management of facilities at the integrated management center as well as for a detailed simulation of the selection of location of CCTV depending on the CCTV's specifications.
Soil hydraulic properties such as hydraulic conductivity or water retention which are costly to measure can be indirectly generated by soil pedotransfer function (PTF) using easily obtainable soil data. The field soil structure description which is routinely recorded could also be used in PTF as an input to reduce the uncertainty. The purposes of this study were to use qualitative morphological soil structure descriptions and soil structural index into PTF and to evaluate their contribution in the prediction of soil hydraulic properties. We transformed categorical morphological descriptions of soil structure into quantitative values using categorical principal component analysis (CATPCA). This approach was tested with a large data set from the US National Pedon Characterization database with the aid of a categorical regression tree analysis. Six different PTFs were used to predict the saturated hydraulic conductivity and those results were averaged to quantify the uncertainty. Quantified morphological description was successively used in multiple linear regression approach to predict the averaged ensemble saturated conductivity. The selected stepwise regression model with only the transformed morphological variables and structural index as predictors predicted the $K_{sat}$ with $r^2$ = 0.48 (p = 0.018), indicating the feasibility of CATPCA approach. In a regression tree analysis, soil structure index and soil texture turned out to be important factors in the prediction of the hydraulic properties. Among structural descriptions size class turned out to be an important grouping parameter in the regression tree. Bulk density, clay content, W33 and structural index explained clusters selected by a two step clustering technique, implying the morphologically described soil structural features are closely related to soil physical as well as hydraulic properties. Although this study provided relatively new method which related soil structure description to soil structure index, the same approach should be tested using a datasets containing the actual measurement of hydraulic properties. More insight on the predictive power of soil structure index to estimate hydraulic properties would be achieved by considering measured the saturated hydraulic conductivity and the soil water retention.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of attracting a university campus on the local economies of small and medium-sized cities, focusing on changes in local commercial neighborhoods(such as the number of startups, closures, and stores counts). For this study, a Difference-in-Difference(DID) analysis was used to compare the period before and after the attraction of university campuses in four local small and medium-sized cities. These include the Yangsan Campus of Pusan National University, the Jincheon Campus of Woosuk University, the Taean Campus of Hanseo University, and the Dangjin Campus of Hoseo University. The comparison was based on the number of startups, closures, and store counts, using local data provided by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The main findings of the study are as follows. First, attracting a university campus has a positive impact on the number of startups, both spatially and temporally. The spatial factors for the number of closures and stores showed a decrease, while the interaction terms representing the period before and after attracting the university campus all indicated an increase. Second, the number of startups in cultural and food-related sectors increase, reflecting the new demand created by attracting the university campus. However, there was also an increase in the number of closures, indicating rapidly changing consumption trends among university students. Third, physical environmental factors such as the number of building floors, land use zoning, and officially assessed land prices have a significant impact on the number of startups, closures, and stores. This supports the assertion that attracting university campus have a positive impact on the revitalization of local commercial neighborhoods.
This study represents something in common and differences of organic characteristics between early modern architecture and contemporary architecture analysing F. L. Wright's Robie House and Toyo Ito's Sendai Mediatheque. A natural organic body cannot be separated from the natural environment, and each part of an architecture has each own property and forms a whole at the same time. That is a basic concept of organic architecture, and a framework for analysis is set up based on it. The followings are similarities and differences of organic concept and interpretation between Wright's Robie House and Ito's Sendai Mediatheque First, Wright' Robie house unites with the natural surrounding, using a physically close connection to the ground. In contract, Ito's Mediatheque shows characteristics of noncentural and fluidic space that are metaphorically reflecting tangible and intangible of factors in modern city, where there is an ambiguous physical boundary between architecture and urban environment. Next, floors, walls and ceilings of Wright's housing as for basic building blocks are physically separated and at the same time form formative unity from the point of view of a physical and structural organic body. And continuous flow of faces of separated walls form an organism united with the nature from a physical aspect. On the contrary to this, there is an no-boudary and floating organic architecture of integrated structure from ambiguous setting of relation between architecture and urban space in Ito's architecture. Especially, Mediatheque shows semantic integration of floating urban environmental factors through horizontal and vertical integration of horizontal slabs, vertical pipes, and skins. Last, horizontal and vertical factors of Wright' Housing is appreciated as an basic experienced structure in terms of spacial perception and fluidic inner spaces in Wright's housing is completed with a series of spatial experiences in a visual sense. On the other hand, no-boundary and floating space of Ito's architecture accept user's physical and virtual body. Especially, there is an integration transcending beyond time and space, accepting an imaginary body and events with the course of time at Ito's Mediatheque.

This study aims to analyze the Spatial Imagery(Yijing) of the Weeping Bamboo Lodge(Xiaoxiangguan) which is from Chinese Qing dynasty novel "Dream of Red Mansions". The conclusions are as follows. First, the fantasy garden what is described in the novel "Dream of Red Mansions" can be recreated in reality. Second, through the analysis of the spatial imagery, the plants of the Weeping Bamboo Lodge contains a lot of meaning, and mainly through the plants to express meaning. Third, the main garden concept of the Weeping Bamboo Lodge is "Inspired by Nature", the representative space constitution principle is "the art of circuitous" and "view borrowing". Fourth, the concept of traditional garden in the novel "Dream of Red Mansions" and the landscape architecture theory book "Yuan Ye(Art of garden building)" is essentially in agreement. The generation process of garden spatial imagery was showed in this study, and on the basis of this, the garden spatial imagery of the Weeping Bamboo Lodge was analyzed. It is provided the useful information for the future research, and the novel "Dream of Red Mansions" as a important book was determined in the research of traditional garden.
