부부관계강화 프로그램의 개발과 효과 검증 -선택이론, 인지정서행동이론, 관계향상기법을 기초로- (A Study on the effectiveness and composition of a Marriage Enrichment Program: Based on reality therapy and rational-emotive therapy)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a Marriage Enrichment Program that can be applied to the actual lives of Korean families and couples, as well as adopted in family welfare programs. For this study, a quasi-experimental group design was employed and pre- and post- tests on Internal-External Control, Couple Communication, and Marital Satisfaction were conducted. Experimental participants consisted of six volunteer couples who responded to an advertisement by the Chonbuk Family Counseling Center printed in a daily newspaper. The experimental group received two hours of education on marital relationship enhancement every week for eight weeks. The control group received no such treatment. The effectiveness of the education was measured by Wilcox matched pair test, using a SAS program, as well as by the self-report of the participants. The results show that there was statistically significant improvement for the experimental group in all three areas of marriage-- internal control, couple communication, and marital satisfaction. In addition, the participants'evaluations were generally positive about the program. The participants reported that it was most helpful to learn through the educational program that individuals differ in basic needs and that they should not force personal beliefs on others. They also reported that their understanding of their spouse improved.

Enrichment of poultry manure with biomass ash to produce organomineral fertiliser

  • In this study, the contribution of hot biomass ash to enrichment of the mineral content and to reducing the moisture content of broiler poultry manure was investigated. For this purpose, the mixtures have been prepared by adding biomass ash at varying rates (10%, 20%, 30%, 40% and 50%) and at different temperatures ($100^{\circ}C$, $150^{\circ}C$, $200^{\circ}C$ and $250^{\circ}C$) according to the dry matter content (74.77%) of the poultry manure. The results showed that incorporation of biomass ash into poultry manure at 50% at $250^{\circ}C$ reduced the moisture content from 25.23% to 9.82%. Regarding the maximum N in the final product, the ideal temperature of biomass ash has been obtained at $150^{\circ}C$. The highest nutrient contents were obtained at 50% biomass ash incorporation. The highest dose of biomass ash application had significantly increased nutrients, such as Ca (19.34%), K (4.03%), Fe (1,545 mg/kg), Mn (812 mg/kg) and Zn (479 mg/kg) in the final organomineral fertiliser formulation. Overall, it was concluded that the addition of hot biomass ash can dramatically decrease the moisture content of poultry manure and therefore provide odour and pathogen removal and increase its plant nutrient content.

Discovery of Cellular RhoA Functions by the Integrated Application of Gene Set Enrichment Analysis

  • The small GTPase RhoA has been studied extensively for its role in actin dynamics. In this study, multiple bioinformatics tools were applied cooperatively to the microarray dataset GSE64714 to explore previously unidentified functions of RhoA. Comparative gene expression analysis revealed 545 differentially expressed genes in RhoA-null cells versus controls. Gene set enrichment analysis (GSEA) was conducted with three gene set collections: (1) the hallmark, (2) the Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes (KEGG) pathway, and (3) the Gene Ontology Biological Process. GSEA results showed that RhoA is related strongly to diverse pathways: cell cycle/growth, DNA repair, metabolism, keratinization, response to fungus, and vesicular transport. These functions were verified by heatmap analysis, KEGG pathway diagramming, and direct acyclic graphing. The use of multiple gene set collections restricted the leakage of information extracted. However, gene sets from individual collections are heterogenous in gene element composition, number, and the contextual meaning embraced in names. Indeed, there was a limit to deriving functions with high accuracy and reliability simply from gene set names. The comparison of multiple gene set collections showed that although the gene sets had similar names, the gene elements were extremely heterogeneous. Thus, the type of collection chosen and the analytical context influence the interpretation of GSEA results. Nonetheless, the analyses of multiple collections made it possible to derive robust and consistent function identifications. This study confirmed several well-described roles of RhoA and revealed less explored functions, suggesting future research directions.

A method for purifying reprocessed uranium from even isotopes under conditions of multiple recycle

  • We proposed a modification of a double cascade scheme to enrich reprocessed uranium. Such a cascade scheme represents a combination of one cascade with "broadening" of the flow and an ordinary three-flow cascade. A calculation and optimization method has been developed for the proposed scheme according to various efficiency criteria. It is shown that the proposed scheme makes it possible to obtain low-enriched uranium of commercial quality using reprocessed uranium of different initial compositions. For example, the enrichment of reprocessed uranium, which had gone through five consequent recycles, was considered. The proposed scheme allowed to enrich it with simultaneous fulfillment of restrictions on isotopes 232U, 234U, and 236U. Such results indicate the scheme's applicability under conditions of multiple recycling of uranium in reactor fuel. Computational experiments have shown that in the proposed modification, a noticeable saving of natural uranium in the cycle (~18%) can be achieved, provided that the additional consumption of separative work does not exceed 10%, compared with the case of enrichment of natural uranium to obtain LEU of equivalent quality.

A Method to Estimate the Burnup Using Initial Enrichment, Cooling Time, Total Neutron Source Intensity and Gamma Source Activities in Spent Fuels

  • Spent fuels (SFs) are stored in a storage pool after discharge from nuclear power plants. They can be transferred to for the further processes such as dry storage sites, processing plants, or disposal sites. One of important measures of SF is the burnup. Since the radioactivity of SF is strongly dependent on its burnup, the burnup of SF should be well estimated for the safe management, storage, and final disposal. Published papers about the methodology for the burnup estimation from the known activities of important radioactive sources are somewhat rare. In this study, we analyzed the dependency of the burnup on the important radiation source activities using ORIGEN-ARP, and suggested simple correlations that relate the burnup and the important source activities directly. A burnup estimation equation is suggested for PWR fuels relating burnup with total neutron source intensity (TNSI), initial enrichment, and cooling time. And three burnup estimation equations for major gamma sources, 137Cs, 134Cs, and 154Eu are also suggested.

  • 인삼조직배양에서 배양환경 조절방법의 필요성을 검토코자 생장조절물질 IBA, BA, GA 각 $3mg/\;{\ell}$ 첨가한 MS 배지에 $CO_2(2500ppm)$를 강제 통기방식에 의해 기내에 처리하여 기관분화 유형별로 특성을 조사하였던 바 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 저장종자의 분화능은 저온처리 60일 종자에서 적출한 배에 비하여 80일정도 저온처리한 성숙된 배의 자엽조직이 양호하였다. 기관발생 유형에서 $CO_2$처리 효과는 부정아 형성보다 shoot primordium 의 생장과 발달에 현저한 효과가 있었고 1개의 배로부터 shoot primordium 을 통해 수백 개의 신초분화가 가능하였다. 배발생 유형에서 $CO_2$처리는 무처리에 비해 indirect somatic embryo 분화 모두에 효과가 있었다. Indirect somatic embryo는 대체로 유관속 중심주와 상배축이 미분화된 관계로 신초가 분화 생장하지 못하였다. 그리고 direct somatic embryo는 자엽 이변의 하단부에서 분화 발달하였고 지상부와 지하부 그리고 잠아를 갖는 완전한 식물체로 생장하였다.

단백질의 기포분리에 영향을 미치는 요소들에 관한 연구 (Factors Affecting Foam Separation of Proteins)

  • 기포분리 조작에 영향을 미치는 제요소를 조사하기 위하여 bovine serum albumin과 ovalbumin의 표면과잉을 형성하는 농도범위를 결정하고, BSA용액의 기포분리에서 pH, 온도, 가스유입속도, 염농도 등이 미치는 영향에 대하여 관찰하였다. BSA의 임계마이셀농도인 0.03%에서 용액의 pH가 등전점 4.9부근일때 농축율은 최소치를 나타내나 기포분리액의 부피가 최대가 되어 회수율은 최대치를 가지게 된다. 등전점에서 벗어날수록 기포분리액의 양은 감소하나 농축율은 증가하였다. 기포분리온도가 $20^{\circ}C$ 이상으로 상승하면 농축율은 증가하나 분리액의 양은 급격히 감소하여 회수율이 감소하였다. 가스 유입속도가 커질수록 농축율은 감소하고 분리액의 양은 증가하엿다. $(NH_4)_2SO_4$ 첨가에 따라 농축율은 감소하나 분리액의 양은 이온강도 7에서 최대치를 나타내었다. 소수성이 작은 ovalbumin은 표면과잉을 형성하는 농도범위가 BSA에 비하여 200배 이상 높게 나타났다. 이러한 현상은 단백질의 소수성에 따른 기포분리 농축이 가능함을 시사하고 있다.

가축분뇨를 이용한 미생물연료전지의 농화배양 단계에서 미생물 군집 변화 (Microbial Communities of the Microbial Fuel Cell Using Swine Wastewater in the Enrichment Step with the Lapse of Time)

  • 이 연구는 전기화학적 활성을 갖는 미생물들을 알아내기 위하여 농화배양 단계에서 시간에 따라 미생물연료전지의 미생물 군집 변화를 알아본 것이다. 접종원으로 하수처리장 혐기 소화액와 가축분뇨를 1 : 1로 혼합한 액을 사용하였다. 농화배양 과정에서 미생물 생장곡선에 따라 지체기, 대수성장기 그리고 정지기로 전류발생 패턴을 보면서 구분하였다. 전류가 안정적으로 발생되는 시점을 농화배양이 끝난 시점으로 판단하였으며, 이때 전류는 $0.84{\pm}0.06mA$가 발생되었다. 농화배양이 되어 가는 과정에서 미생물군집 변화를 전기영동(DGGE)에서 확인하여 시간에 따라 새롭게 나타나는 band나 농도가 높아지는 band 17개를 잘라내어 염기서열을 분석하였다. 이 결과 지체기와 대수성장 단계에서는 Clostridium, Rhodocyclaceae, Bacteriodete 그리고 Uncultured bacterium 등이 검출되었고, 정지기에서는 Geobacter sp., Rhodocyclaceae, Candidatus, Nitrospira, Flavobactriaceae, 그리고 Uncultured bacterium 등이 검출되었다. Geobactor의 경우는 이미 전기활성 미생물로 알려져 있는 미생물 종으로 이를 포함하여 이 연구에서 검출된 다른 미생물들 중에도 전기활성이 있는 미생물을 포함하고 있을 것으로 판단된다.

수준별 과제학습을 통한 학력신장과 학습태도에 대한고찰 (A Study on Achievement and Learning Attitude Through Task Learning by Level)

  • The level-based task learning had an effect on enhancing the math achievement of enrichment and ordinary classes. Besides, the analysis of mathematical attitude change showed that the level-based task learning took effect in the experimental class in every domain, including self-confidence, flexibility, will power, reaction and value, while it made little difference to the comparative class. The findings were as follows in detail. 1. The Outcome of the Achievement Test 1) The Enrichment Class In the first two tests, there were little differences in the enrichment class, But the disparity between the experimental and comparative classes became larger as this study advanced with 4.3 for the third test, 6.4 for the fourth and 6.1 for the fifth. 2) The Ordinary Class In the first to fifth achievement tests, the ordinary class made less difference than the enrichment class did. But there appeared some effect as this study progressed, since the mean grade disparity between the experimental and comparative classes was 2.1 for the first test, 3.5 for the second, 3.9 for the third, 4.4 for the fourth and 6.3 for the fifth. 3) The Supplementary Class The supplementary class showed no big difference in the first two tests. But, like the ordinary class, there was some effect with the lapse of the third 2.9 for the test, 3.2 for the fourth and 4.1 for the fifth. 2. The Change of Mathematical Attitude 1) The Experimental Class The task learning by level had a great deal of effect on the experimental class, as the pre-and post-comparative analyses showed that this class's grades were 5.1 for self-confidence, 10.8 for flexibility, 11.3 for will power, 9.7 for curiosity, 10.9 for reaction and 2.8 for value. 2) The Comparative Class The relative comparison between the comparative class and experimental class revealed that there was a hole effect on the comparative class. 3. The Outcome of Questionnaire Survey 1) They showed a positive reaction, as 40.1% of them answered the level-based task loaming served to raise their achievement, and 48.0% told so-so, and 11.9% replied they weren't helped by it. 2) The results after the experiment were;37.8% of the students say they under- stood practically everything while 12.6% of them say they under stood almost half. 3) The will to learn after the experiment shows dramatic changes between the two classes, The students in the enrichment class showed better will to learn than the students in the ordinary and supplementary classes did.

DGGE를 이용한 PCE 및 TCE의 혐기적 탈염소화 군집의 미생물 군집분석 (Analysis of Microbial Community during the Anaerobic Dechlorination of PCE/TCE by DGGE)

  • 광양, 하남, 여천지역의 토양, 하천 및 해양 퇴적물 등을 이용하여, 난분해성 염소화합물인 PCE (perchloroethylene) 및 TCE(trichloroethylene)의 혐기성 탈염소화에 관련하는 미생물을 탐색하고 이들의 탈염소화 효율을 조사하였다. 혐기성 상호대사에 의한 탈염소화 효율을 조사하기위해 전자 공여체로 아세테이트를 사용하여 혐기성 회분식 실험을 실시 하였으며, 미생물 군집을 분석하기 위해, 분자생물학적인 기법인 16S rDNA의 DGGE 기법을 이용하였다. 그 결과, 4주간 집적배양을 통해 광양, 하남, 여천시료는 PCE와 TCE를 PCE 75% 이상, TCE 81% 이상 탈염소화하는 것으로 나타내며, 여천시료가 우수한 PCE/TCE탈염소화율을 보이고 있다(PCE 87.37%, TCE 84.46%). 또한, 전자 수용체에 따른 탈염소화 배양액의 미생물 다양성은 DGGE로 분석하였으며, 우점하는 미생물은 Clostridium sp., Desulfotomaculum sp.와 unculutured bacteria로 나타났다.
