Exposed doses to the patient's caregiver and their house due to the 131I from patients discharged from the hospital were measured using OSL dosimeters. Usually, 3.37-5.55 GBq (100-150 mCi) of $^{131}I$ administrated patients are discharged from the hospital after 3 or 4 days of hospitalization in Korea. In addition, after 5 to 8 days, the accumulated doses of the patient's caregiver and house after hospitalization of the patient were measured using OSL dosimeters. The results of the measured average accumulated doses were 0.1 mSv, which is 10% of 1 mSv, the public dose limit in the Korean Atomic Energy Law. And it's standard deviation was 0.087 mSv. Based on the results of this study, we anticipate that we could assure the compliance of the regulation requirement 5 mSv of MEST (Ministry of Education, Science and Technology) Notice No. 2008-45 for the patient's caregiver or family, even if we reduce the 3-4 days of hospitalization to 1-2 days or less.

The quality control personnel of the construction work shall establish and execute the quality control plan or the quality test plan and check the qualification of the used materials according to the process, the management of the test and inspection equipment, the quality education, the own quality inspection and measures. Management and quality test of Korea and plays an important role in preventing accidents. However, related organizations did not explicitly disclose their roles in quality testing and quality control tasks while changing the names of quality control personnel to test personnel and quality managers when revising related laws and regulations and the application of labor costs. Therefore, a research of this is needed to improve conflicting situation. In this study, the ambiguous title relation to the quality control persons is improved to meet the requirements of the construction work based on related laws and regulations, and each role and title is classified as 'quality tester' and 'quality manager'. In other words, the person who carries out the quality test of the "Construction Quality Test Standard" specified in the Guideline for Quality Management of Construction Projects shall be the "Quality Tester" and the person who performs the quality control plan establishment and execution work specified in the Enforcement Rule of the Construction Technology Promotion Act shall be referred to as the 'Quality Manager'.

On the basis of the topographic maps in the 1910's and 1990's and the classification map of Landsat TM satellite image photographed on Sept 1, 1996, the spatial distribution and the current situation concerning tidal flats in Korea were studied by measuring the area with GIS Arc/Info system and examining the regional condition required to develop the tidal flats. The results are as follow; The tidal flat resources in Korea cover an area of about 3800 square meters, including the reclaimed one since the 1910's. And they are widely distributed in the west coast of South Jeonla, Kyunggi bay, Asan bay, the south coast of South Jeonla, Kunsan bay, Chunsoo bay, and the coast of South Kyungsang and Pusan when put in the order from bigger area. Given the area under the construction at present, more than 50% of the tidal flats are reclaimed ones. The tidal flats are being developed especially in Kyunggi and Asan bays because they perfectly measure up to the conditions required. For Kunsan bay, a remarkably good supply system of the alluvial sedimentary materials and a favorable coastline requirement for the coast of the South Jeonla also contribute to the development of the tidal flats. In the case study of Kunsan bay, it was shown that the shape of the tidal flat is making a continuous change and the area is getting bigger in terms of the multi-temporal change of the tidal flat development. However, while in the first half of the 20th century, the increasing rate of the area was considered to be rather high, it is considerably lowered almost to a standstill in the latter half of the century.

We attempt to classifing method of micro-landform on the alluvial plain, such as natural-levee, backmarsh and alluvial fan, using false color composite of Landsat Thematic Mapper image. The study area is Kumho River Basin on the southeastern part of Korea peninsula. The most effective image for micro-landform classification is the false color composite of band 2, 3 and 4 with blue, green and red filtering. The most favorable time is the middle third of November, because of the density differentiation of green vegetation in most great. In this time the paddy field on the back-marsh is bare by rice harvesting. But on the natural levee the green vegetation, such as vegetables and lower herbs under fruit tree, remain relatively more. On the alluvial fan, the green vegetation condition is medium. For the verification of the micro-landform classification, we employed the field survey and grain size analysis of the deposition of each micro-landform on the sample area. It is clarified that the classification method of micro-landform on the alluvial plain using the Landsat TM image is relatively useful.
This research was designed to develop a computer program and evaluate the nutritional balances especially the balance of fatty acids, amino acids and antioxidant vitamins for convenience foods. The Korean convenience food, Kimbab purchased from markets was evaluated by using the self-developed computer program. Contents of calories, protein and calcium were lower$(1/3^{\circ}{\neq}1/2)$ than the recommended levels of Korean adult woman, and the carbohydrate/ protein/ fat(CPF) energy ratio was 70: 13: 17. The mean P/ M/ S ratio was 2.2/ 1.4/ 1 and that of ${\omega}6/\;{\omega}3$ fatty acids was 17.9/ 1, which was higher than the desirable ratio of $4{\sim}8/\;1$. Average essential amino acid balance of market-Kimbab samples was within the desirable range even though the absolute amount of protein was lower than the recommended level. Contents of antioxidant vitamins (A, C &E) were lower than recommended levels. Two kinds of nutritionally adjusted Kimbab menu were established by self-developed computer program. Some of major changes was adding food ingredients such as tuna fish and perilla leaf cooked with sesame oil and soybean oil to increase ${\omega}3$ series fatty acids. Some fruits and milk were also added to the menu. The adjusted CPF ratios was 63: 15: 22 and the new values for P/ M/ S and ${\omega}6/\;{\omega}3$ fatty acids ratios were 1.0/ 1.2/ 1/0 and 6.1/ 1 respectively. In sensory evaluation of two kinds of adjusted Kimbab, the taste and overall estimation scores were higher than unadjusted Kimbab. The computer program developed in this study might be used as a tool for the evaluation of nutritional balance of other convenience foods and menu planning.

The objectives of this study mere 1) to investigate whether the different nonwoven fabric types influenced on the objective and subjective wear performances of the experimental pesticide protective pants, 2) to detect whether the different finishes treated to the nonwoven fabrics influenced on the objective and subjective wear performances of the experimental pants, and 3) to detect the relationships between objective wear performances and subjective wear sensation. Three types of nonwoven fabrics (T (Tyvek$\textregistered$), 5 (Sontara$\textregistered$) and K (Kimlon$\textregistered$)) were used as test specimens. By pad-dry.cure method, each of the specimen was treated with fluorocarbon compound for water-oil repellent finish (Tw, Sw, Kw). And each of specimen was treated with organic silicon quarternary ammonium salts and then treated with fluorocabon compound for dual functional finish (76, 50, Kd). Using the three water-oil repellent finished fabrics and the three dual functional finished fabrics, six experimental protective pants (Cl (Tw), C2 (Sw), C3 (Kw), C4 (76), C5 (56), C6 (Kd)) were made according to the same pattern suggested by the Rual Guidance Office. The wear trials of experimental pesticide protective pants were performed in a conditioned vinyl plastic hothouse ($30\pm1^{\circ}C$, $70\pm5%$R.H., 0.25m/sec air velocity). The measurements of skin temperature, microclimate temperature and humidity on the subjects were obtained by the themohygromenter. The subjective wear sensations were measured using previously developed thermal, humidity and overall comfort scales. The results obtained from this study were as follows: 1) There were siginificant differences among nonwoven fabric types on the objective and subjective wear performances, therefore, the skin temperature, microclimate temperature and humidity of subjects who wore the experimental pants made with Sontara were siginificantly lower than those who wore the others. And, the experimental pants made with Sontara were assessed as more comfortable than the others in terms of the subjective thermal, humidity and overall wear sensations. 2) There were no significant differences between two finish types on the objective and subjective wear Performances. 3) The microclimate humidity on the thigh was highly correlated with the overall subjective comfort sensations and the next highly correlated one was the mean skin temperature. That is, the higher the microclimate humidity and the mean skin temperature, the higher the overall subjective comfort sensation ratings which mean the overall subjective sensation was very uncomfortable.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of vertical and horizontal refraction on the lower part of the power supply and control system of various facilities and machinery that use electricity, so that the power distribution system, which is an important electric facility installed in buildings and public facilities, Type earthquake resistant pads to protect the substructure and prevent short-circuiting on the upper part of the system. The GR-63-CORE (Scale 8.3 class) It is earthquake disaster prevention and disaster prevention technology that satisfies seismic performance. As a research result, it is possible to protect the electricity and communication infrastructure, which can contribute to shortening the time for recovering the electric facilities to the normal state in case of an earthquake, and preventing the fire caused by the destruction of the electricity supply facility in case of an earthquake. As a result, it is possible to minimize the spread of fire that occurs when a large-scale earthquake occurs and to minimize the damage of people and damage to property, and it can contribute to the securing of electric infrastructure that enables citizens to quickly recover to daily life even after suffering a major earthquake. In addition, the technology can be applied to ensure the seismic resistance of the equipment in the communication and computer room, and it can be applied to various fields where the facility function can be stopped due to the shaking of the earthquake base.
This study was performed to investigate awareness of hand washing, hand washing behavior, and the levels of indicator microorganisms on hands of food handlers who work in the food court and cafeteria of a university campus. The three methods used were questionnaire survey by interview, direct observation in restrooms, and microbiological examination according to the Food Code of Korea. A positive attitude toward hand washing compliance was reported by the responded food handlers; however, improper hand washing and poor hand hygiene of the food handlers were recognized by the unnoticed direct observation. Significant differences were found between the questionnaire survey and the direct observation (p < 0.05) in hand washing compliance after using the toilet, duration of hand washing, use of hand washing agent, washing different parts of the hands, hand-drying method, temperature of water, and method of turning off the water. Samples taken from their hands before work showed higher level of standard plate count, total and fecal coliforms, and Escherichia coli than those taken after washing with water. After washing hands with antiseptic liquid soap, the bacterial populations including Staphylococcus aureus on hands were dramatically reduced. This study indicates that there is a remarkable difference between the food handlers' awareness of hand washing and their hand washing behavior. Poor hand washing compliance and hand hygiene were indicated by the positive results of total and fecal coliforms, E. coli, and S. aureus on hands of some food handlers. The findings of this study suggest that the hand hygiene of the food handlers need to be improved. More training/education on hand washing and hand hygiene of the food handlers should be necessary.

According to the MAIIF report, from 1998 to 2009, 101 incidents involving entering enclosed spaces aboard ships resulted in 93 deaths and 96 casualties. IMO has therefore amended the Recommendations for entering Enclosed Spaces Entry and SOLAS 1974 Convention Chapter 3 Regulation 19, which mandates enclosed spaces entry and rescue drill on a regular basis. The training of entering such enclosed spaces should be practical, recognizing all possible risks of entering enclosed spaces aboard ships, while also considering the safety of trainees during the training. Recently, educational contents utilizing virtual reality (VR) have been applied in various fields to improve education and training effects, and these methods have proven to have advantages in actual and repetitive learning without being limited to physical space. In this study, the effectiveness, characteristics and differentiation of training of entering enclosed spaces aboard ships using VR were compared with traditional class room lectures through quantitative evaluation and questionnaires of training participants. Through the evaluation and questionnaire, it was found that participants using VR understood and learned the required training elements better than the control group, all of whom were trained through the normal class room lecture. Moreover, participants reported to display preference for training with the help of VR. As a result of the study, it was confirmed that the learning effects of VR onboard training can be used as an effective training method, especially by using video and other types of simulators.
An array DBMS has been expected widely from scientists because it is convenient to store and analyze the data of array type. In this paper, we describe how to handle satellite remote-sensing images in the array DBMS. However, previous works in their visualization have two problems as follows. First, the images are visualized as a state of distorted by the curvature of the earth. Second, it is difficult to apply the results of visualization by pre-written queries to other analyses. Therefore, this paper proposes a three dimensional visualization method of satellite remote-sensing images, not traditional 2D visualization. Our research contents are as follows. First, we describe how to store, process, and analyze the satellite remote-sensing images in the array DBMS. Second, we propose a three-dimensional visualization method for their processed outputs. Lastly, our contributions can be summarized that we propose a method of handling satellite remote-sensing images in the array DBMS and their 3D visualization techniques. It is also expected that their use be available widely in many industrial areas.
