공학설계강좌에서 셀프리더십 역량 및 공학설계 자기효능감과 팀 창의성 지각의 관계 (Relationships among Self-Leadership, Engineering Design Self-Efficacy, and Perceived Team Creativity in Engineering Desing Class)

  • This study investigated the mediating effect of engineering design self-efficacy on the relationship between self-leadership and perceived team creativity. Participants were 110 engineering college students pursuing team projects. Engineering design self-efficacy showed complete mediation effects on the relationships between perceived team creativity and self-reward and evaluating beliefs and assumptions. Partial mediation effect of engineering design self-efficacy was found on the relationship between perceived team creativity and natural reward. Finally, limitations of this study and suggestions for future studies were discussed.

  • This study examined the moderating effect of engineering design self-efficacy on the relationship between cognitive team diversity and team creativity. For this study, 377 mechanical engineering students in engineering design classes were included in the analysis. The results showed that both cognitive team diversity and engineering design self-efficacy were positively correlated with team creativity. The analysis of moderating effect indicated that engineering design self-efficacy further reinforced the positive relationship between cognitive team diversity and team creativity. Finally, implications and limitations of this study were explored.

공과대학 캡스톤 디자인의 학습성과에 대한 자기조절학습전략의 매개효과 검증 (An Examination of the Mediation Effect of Self-Regulated Learning Strategy on Learning Outcome in Engineering Capstone Design Course)

  • This study aimed to identify the causal relationships among self-regulated learning strategy, problem solving efficacy, task value and learning outcome, and mediation effect of self-regulated learning strategy in engineering capstone design course. The data were collected from 363 university students who enrolled in capstone design courses and analyzed using structural equation modeling method. The results were: first, problem-solving efficacy and task value exerted significant effects on self-regulated learning strategy. Second, self-regulated learning strategy exerted significant effects on learning outcome, but problem-solving efficacy and task value did not. Third, problem-solving efficacy and task value showed significant indirect effects on learning outcome, which confirmed that self-regulated learning strategy fully mediated between two exogenous variables and learning outcome.

초·중등학생을 위한 디자인적 사고기반의 STEAM교육 프로그램의 효과 (Effect of Design Thinking-based STEAM Program for Primary and Secondary Students)

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of design thinking-based STEAM program for primary and secondary students. The design thinking-based STEAM program dealt with advanced scientific technology issues and it consisted of 8 topics. A questionnaire was developed to explore the change of Science concept awareness, Interest, Self-efficacy, Career consciousness of students through the program. The questionnaire consisted of following 4 areas, such as 'Science concept awareness', 'Interest', 'Career consciousness' and 'Self efficacy'. Pre-post test was conducted to 75 primary and secondary students. As a result of analyzing post-test compared to pre-test, 'Science concept awareness', 'Career consciousness' and 'Self efficacy' of students were improved. And the 'Interest' wasn't changed significantly. Through this research, it can be suggested that the design thinking-based STEAM program can be useful at school education to improve the Science concept awareness, Career consciousness and Self-efficacy of primary and secondary students. It is also proposed that further research of the various areas of interest and other affective variables will be needed.

대학생의 자기존중감, 학업적 자기효능감, 진로성숙도가 대학생활적응과 학업지속의향에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Self-Respect, Academic Self-Efficacy, and Career Maturity on Student Adaptation to College and Learning Persistence)

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the effects of self-respect, academic self-efficacy, and career maturity on student adaptation to college and learning persistence. For this study, a web survey was conducted on the students who were in college of engineering at D college in Seoul. A total of 702 samples were analyzed for this research. The major findings of this study are as follows. First, all variables (self-respect, academic self-efficacy, career maturity) had positive effects on student adaptation to college significantly. Secondly, self-respect and academic self-efficacy had positive effects on learning persistence except career maturity. Thridly, the mediation analyses revealed that the relations between learning persistence and self-respect, academic self-efficacy, and career maturity were partially mediated by student adaptation to college. Finally, student adaptation to college had also positive effects on learning persistence. The results indicate a need to enhance student adaptation to college and design programs that support learning persistence for university students.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 개인의 학습 자기효능과 기업의 혁신적 지식전달과 같은 학습전이풍토가 디자이너의 특성을 고려한 디자인 역량강화교육과 개인성과와의 관계에서 매개역할을 할 것이라는 가설을 증명하는 것에 있다. 이는 단순히 교육의 만족도를 조사하는 기존의 연구와는 달리 디자이너의 특성에 근거한 학습 자기효능감과 디자이너가 조직의 문화에 영향을 주는 학습전이 풍토에 대한 정량적 분석을 하여 디자인 교육훈련의 의미를 확장하는데 의의가 있다. 구체적으로 본 연구에서는 7개의 가설을 설정하였고, 그 결과 디자이너 대상 디자인 역량강화 교육과 학습 자기효능감, 기업의 학습전이풍토는 개인성과에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

  • This study is a randomized pretest-posttest design that aims to investigate the effect of early entrepreneurship education on cognitive and non- early entrepreneurship education, non-cognitive skills, creativity, self-efficacy, Bizworld cognitive skills of male sixth-grade primary school students. A total of 45 students were selected by multi-stage random sampling method and were assigned randomly to experimental, active-control and control groups. The experimental group received entrepreneurship education based on the Bizworld entrepreneurship program. The results indicate that early entrepreneurship education had an effect on non-cognitive skills (such as risk taking propensity, creativity, self-efficacy, persistence and need for achievement. It seems that early entrepreneurship education is a proper strategy to develop children's non-cognitive skills in late years of primary school. These skills will affect children's individual, educational, social and occupational future and can have long term benefits for students, families and society.

공과대학생의 기술적 문제해결 전략과 자아조절 관련 변인과의 상관 연구 (A Study on The Correlations between Strategies of Technological Problem Solving and Variables related with Self-Regulation of Students in Engineering College)

  • 이 연구에서는 공학에서 접하게 되는 문제의 유형인 설계와 고장해결에 있어서 문제해결 전략이 자아 조절 관련 변인들, 즉 계획하기, 자아 관리, 노력, 자아 효능감 등의 변인들이 어떠한 관계를 보이고 있는지 확인하고자 한다. 공과대학 학생 120명을 대상으로 문제해결 전략 검사와 자아 조절 성향 질문지를 실시하였다. 검사 결과를 이용하여 설계 및 고장해결 전략과 자아 조절 변인간의 상관 관계를 분석하고 설계 전략과 고장 해결 전략의 상, 하위 집단간 자아 조절 관련 변인들의 집단간 평균 비교를 실시한 결과를 바탕으로 다음과 같은 결론을 도출하였다. 고장해결 문제에 대한 타당한 전략의 수는 자아 효능감과 계획하기와 정적 상관이 있으며, 설계 문제에 대한 타당한 전략의 수는 자아 관리, 계획하기, 노력과 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 자아 효능감만이 문제해결에 있어서 타당한 전략의 수와 직접적인 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

우리춤 체조가 여성노인의 신체적 건강, 자기효능감 및 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Korean Traditional Dance Exercise of Physical Health, Self-efficacy & Stress in elderly women)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effect of Korean traditional dance exercise on physical health (BMI; body mass index, BP; blood pressure, VC; vital capacity, TC; total cholesterol, HDL; high-density lipoprotein, TG; triglyceride), self-efficacy and stress in elderly women. A quasi-experimental research design(one group pretest and posttest) was used for this study. Participants were recruited in a metropolitan city and a total of 43 community dwelling elderly women completed the 12-week Korean traditional dance exercise program. Descriptive statistics and paired t-tests were used in the data analysis by SPSS/WIN 12.0. After the Korean traditional dance exercise program there was a significant difference in BMI, VC, TC, HDL, stress and self-efficacy. There were, however, no significant changes in BP, and TG level after completing this program. This study suggests that Korean traditional dance exercise may be one of the effective nursing interventions for elderly women.

대학원생의 자기효능감, 스트레스, 폭력 경험, 경제적 환경, 관계갈등, 건강행위가 우울에 미치는 영향 (Association between Self-efficacy, Stress, Violence Experiences, Economic state, Relationship Conflict, Health Behaviors and Depression in Graduate Student)

  • Purpose: This study examined the factors associated with depression among Korean graduate students. Specifically, personal (self-efficacy, stress), environmental (violence experience, economic state, and relationship conflict), and behavioral (health behavior) factors were analyzed. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional study design. One hundred and fifty participants currently enrolled in graduate programs were recruited. Google Drive was used for online data collection. Descriptive statistics, correlational analyses, and hierarchical regression analysis were conducted. Results: First, 52% of the participants were male, with an average age of 28.05(±3.19). Master's students comprised the largest proportion (63.3%). Approximately about 38.7% were engineering majors. Second, approximately 27.3% had depressive symptoms; and 7.3% had major depression. Third, there was a significant correlation between personal, environmental (financial burdens), and behavioral factors. Fourth, hierarchical regression analysis revealed a lower depression level to be associated with a higher self-efficacy level and health behavior. In contrast, a higher depression level was related to violence experience. Conclusion: The government should press on establishing rules on the prevention and regulation of violence in universities, and impose strong disciplinary measures to root out the problem. In addition, universities must pay attention to the mental health of graduate students and establish systems to manage them.
