  • As a building energy saving standard strengthened, The number of building installed external thermal insulation composite system(ETICS) using EPS insulation increased. But frequent fire accident in the buildings installed EIFS using EPS led to strengthening of building fire safety regulation. This study is for fire property of EPS ETICS reinforced with noncombustible calcium silicate-based mineral insulation as a fire spread prevention structure(FSPS). Fire test for large scale wall by ISO 13785-2 was applied and results showed EPS EIFS with FSPS got 3~8 times superior fire safety than normal EIFS by visual investigation. Temperature and heat flux measurement results, which data of upside of specimen were lower than downside, also supported fire safety of EIFS with FSPS.

  • National projects on renewable energy and new energy are driven more actively than ever in many countries for the exhaustion of fossil fuel energy from the turn of the century. Such activities began to spread out in railway industry with centering around west European countries. Electric energy is generated on the hybrid vehicle itself, which contributes to reduction of the cost for construction of the infrastructure required for the supply of electric power. Hybrid tram is mainly composed of propulsion system to control electric energy, automatic guidance system to control steering and operation, and central vehicle unit to control and monitor major electronic devices. Generation and supply of electric power are made by the combination of engine generator and battery, or fuel cell and super capacitor.

  • The purpose of this study is to review all phases of the pilot project through the implementation of the Green Remodeling process. The Green Remodeling process was developed to facilitate anyone's ease of use. The Green Remodeling process consists of five phases : project, plan, design, construction, operation and maintenance. Each stage simulation was performed and the energy saving was predicted. Architects can easily obtain energy information of a building. In this study, we propose a green remodeling proposal plan through pilot project. Ultimately, the spread of green remodeling will greatly contribute to achieving the goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

  • Al-CuO is a thermite material exhibiting the exothermic reaction only when aluminum melts. For wide spread of its application, the reaction temperature needs to be reduced in addition to the enhancement of total reaction energy. In the present study, a thermite nanocomposite with a large contact area between Al and CuO was fabricated in order to lower the exothermic reaction temperature and to improve the reactivity. A cryomilling process was performed to achieve the nanostructure, and the effect of composition on the microstructure and its reactivity was studied in detail. The microstructure was characterized using SEM and XRD, and the thermal property was analyzed using DSC. The results show that as the molar ratio between Al and CuO varies, the fraction of uniform nanocomposite structure was changed affecting the exothermic reaction characteristics.

  • The present paper reports the development of a computational code based on the Adaptive Group of Ink Drop Spread (AGIDS) for reconstruction of the neutron noise sources in reactor cores. AGIDS algorithm was developed as a fuzzy inference system based on the active learning method. The main idea of the active learning method is to break a multiple input-single output system into a single input-single output system. This leads to the ability to simulate a large system with high accuracy. In the present study, vibrating absorber-type neutron noise source in an International Atomic Energy Agency-two dimensional reactor core is considered in neutron noise calculation. The neutron noise distribution in the detectors was calculated using the Galerkin finite element method. Linear approximation of the shape function in each triangle element was used in the Galerkin finite element method. Both the real and imaginary parts of the calculated neutron distribution of the detectors were considered input data in the developed computational code based on AGIDS. The output of the computational code is the strength, frequency, and position (X and Y coordinates) of the neutron noise sources. The calculated fraction of variance unexplained error for output parameters including strength, frequency, and X and Y coordinates of the considered neutron noise sources were $0.002682{\sharp}/cm^3s$, 0.002682 Hz, and 0.004254 cm and 0.006140 cm, respectively.

  • Performance analysis is very important to transmit the high quality information and to construct the optimal system for the minimze the noise from the channel of spread spectrum system. In this paper the error rate performance is analyzed with computer simulation in noncoherent frequency hopping M-qry frequency shift keying(FH/MFSk) systems with regard to thermal noise under the partial band jamming environments. AS a result, in case the thermal noise is disregarded, bit error probability of system in jamming fraction ρ and Eb/Nj(bit energy to jamming power density) is reduced with the increase of K and in worst case 32FSK system is better than 2FSK system by 3.23dB with the variatio of Eb/Nj. In case thermal noise is considered, bit error probability of system by 3.23dB with the variation of Eb/Nj. In case thermal noise is considered, bit error probability of system are reduced with the increase of K and Eb/No(bit energy to thermal noise density). Bit error probability in connection with worst case ρ is not largely influenced form over the 14dB to K=1 and 8dB to K=5 accordingly thermal noise disregarding. These results may be useful for avoiding the common vulnerabilities when the spread spectrum system is designed.

  • Point Spread Function (PSF) is one of the most important optical characteristics for describing the performance of a telescope. And a concept of subpixelization is inevitable in evaluating the undersampled PSF (Shin and Sakurai 2009). Then, the internal structure of Yohkoh SXT CCD pixel is not uniform: For the top half of pixel area, the X-ray should pass a so-called gate structure where the charges are transferred to an output amplifier. This gate structure shows energy-dependent sensitivity (Tsuneta et al. 1991). For example, for Al-K (8.34 A) X-ray emission, the transmission of the polysilicon gate is about 0.9. Also, for the peak coronal response of the SXT thin filters, around 17 angstrom (0.729 keV), the transmission of the gate is about 0.6, falling off sharply towards longer wavelengths. It should be noted that this spectrally dependent non-uniform response of each CCD pixel will certainly have a noticeable effect on the properties of the PSF at longer wavelengths. Therefore, especially for analyzing the undersampled PSF of low energy source, a careful consideration of non-uniform internal pixel structure is required in determining the shape of the PSF core. The details on the effect of gate structure will be introduced in our presentation.
