퍼지 전문가 시스템을 이용한 강관 하이드로포밍의 성형성 예측에 관한 연구 (Optimization of tube hydroforming process by using fuzzy expert system)

  • In the tube hydroforming process, a tube is placed into the die cavity and the ends of the tube are sealed by fixing the axial cylinder piston into the ends. Then the tube is pressurized with a hydraulic fluid and simultaneously the axial cylinders move to feed the material into the expansion zone. Therefore, the quantitative relationship between process parameters such as internal pressure and feeding amount and hydroformabillity, is hard to establish because of their high complexity and many unknown factors. In this study, the empirical and the quantitative relationship between process parameters and hydroformabillity are analyzed by fuzzy rules. Fuzzy expert system is an advanced expert system which uses fuzzy rule and approximate reasoning. Many process parameters are converted to the quantitative relationship by use of approximate reasoning of fuzzy expert system. The comparison between experimentally measured hydroformabillity from hydroforming experiments and the predicted values by fuzzy expert system shows a good agreement.

  • 액체 로켓 엔진 점화 라인에 부착되는 연소기 점화기 중에 양단에 파열판이 부착되는 방식이 있다. 본 연구에서는 전단에 솔레노이드밸브가 있는 이러한 연소기 점화기에 대한 유량계수 시험을 수행하였다. 방사형 및 원주형 스코어를 가지는 인장형 파열판, 점화기에 대한 상온 수류 시험을 통하여, 유량계수에 대한 스코어, 유량, 파열판 두께, 전단 공기층 및 솔레노이드밸브의 영향을 살펴보았다.

  • The differential equations governing free vibrations of the elastic arches with rectangular hollow section are derived in polar coordinates, in which the effect of rotatory inertia is included. Natural frequencies is computed numerically for circular arches with both clamped ends and both hinged ends. The lowest four natural frequency parameters are reported, with the rotatory inertia, as functions of three non-dimensional system parameters: the breadth ratio, the thickness ratio and the shape ratio.

  • 임의의 평면파가 각진 두 도선에 입사시 관계변수들이 양단부하에 유기되는 전압에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 전송선 양단의 임피던스가 정합되고 입사파의 방향이 방위각과 고도각이 같을 때 유기전압이 최소가 됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한, 도선의 반경이나 도선간의 경사각이 변할 때 도표상에서 유기전압을 계산할 수 있는 방안도 제시하였다.

  • In discontinuous composite mechanics, shear lag theory is one of the most popular model because of its simplicity and accuracy. However, it does not provide sufficiently accurate strengthening predictions in elastic regime when the fiber aspect ratio is small. This is due to its neglect of stress transfer across the fiber ends and the stress concentrations that exist in the matrix regions near the fiber ends. To overcome this shortcoming, a more simplified shear lag model introducing the stress concentration factor which is a major function of modulus ratio is proposed. It is found that the proposed model gives a good agreement with finite element results and has the capability to correctly predict the values of intefacial shear stresses and local stress variations in the small fiber aspect ratio regime.

  • The differential equations governing free vibrations of the elastic arches with unsymmetric axis are derived in the rectangular coordinates rather than in polar coordinates, in which the effect of rotatory inertia is included. Frequencies and mode shapes are computed numerically for parabolic arches with both clamped ends and both hinged ends.   • A theoretical formulation for the analysis of free vibration of a cylindrical shell with a circular plate attached at an arbitrary axial position of the shell under various kinds of boundary conditions was derived and programed to get the numerical results for natural frequencies and mode shapes of the combined system. The boundary conditions of the shell to be considered here are clamped-free, clamped-simply supported, both ends clamped and both ends simply supported. The frequencies and mode shapes from theoretical calculation were compared with those of commercial finite element code, ANSYS. The results showed good agreement with those of ANSYS in frequencies and mode shapes. The program will contribute to the design optimization of a shell/plate combined system through the analysis of natural frequencies and mode shapes for the system.

  • This paper deals with the geometrical non-linear analyses of the buckled columns. Differential equations governing elasticas of the buckled columns are derived, in which both effects of taper type and shear deformation are included. Three kinds of taper types such as breadth, depth and square tapers are considered. Differential equations are solved numerically to obtain the elasticas and buckling loads of such columns. End constraint of both clamped ends and both hinged ends are considered. The effects of shear deformation on the elastica of the buckled column and buckling load of column are investigated extensively. Experimental studies are presented that complement theoretical results of non-linear responses of the elasticas.

  • Dynamic response analysis are conducted for a floating bridge subjected to multiple support earthquake excitation. The floating bridge used in this study is supported by discrete floating pontoons and horizontal pretension cables supported at both ends of the bridge. The bridge is modeled with finite elements and the hydrodynamic added mass and added damping due to the surrounding fluid around pontoons are obtained using boundary elements. Multiple support excitation is introduced at both ends of the bridge and the time history response is compared to that of a simultaneous excitation. The results shows that the differences between two results are not so large except for cable tension for which the multiple support excitation yields larger values. During the analysis the concept of retardation function is utilized to consider the frequency dependency of the hydrodynamic coefficients.
