The participants were 197 fiveyear- old children and their mothers of six kindergartens and child care centers in Seoul and Gyeonggi province. The Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale(Choi & Shin, 2008), the Peer Rating Scale(Asher et al., 1979), and the Parental Intelligence Scale(Hyon, 2004) were used as measurements. The results of this study were as follows. Firstly, the higher scores in mothers' parental intelligence of encouragement, enhancement, rational authoritativeness, acceptance, control, and avoiding rejection roles, the more the children's positive behaviors were exhibited during the peer play. Secondly, children whose mothers provided higher levels in parental intelligence of empathy, encouragement, rational authoritativeness and enhancement roles were rated as displaying higher levels of children's peer acceptance. On the other hand, children whose mothers expressed higher parental intelligence level of the rejection role tended to have lower levels of peer acceptance.

  • The present study aims to examine the effect of the reading guidance program that applied the Enneagram of Personality to a group of 6th year elementary school students. In order to verify the effect of the program, three variables with the highest correlation-self-encouragement, self-efficacy and sociality-were selected as the assessment tools for the present experimental study. Based on a group of 6th year elementary students as participants, the reading guidance instructions were given applying the Enneagram of Personality, and in order to verify the effect of those instructions, the students were divided into two groups and assigned to either an experimental or a control group.

  • To provide the baseline for pricing, this paper proposes pricing-by-rating (PBR) as pricing model at micro-foundations level that can work as the baseline for all pricing models as well as an assessment criterion of business model in all circumstances. It sets up firstly WTP (willingness to pay/purchase) model from explicit needs and develops PBR based on the ordinal scale of the difference between the WTP and the WTS (willingness to supply/sell) by comparing individually the corresponding element/component of a firm's actual marketing mix 4P with that of the best SPEC (solution, price indicator by WTP, encouragement, channel) as an ideal 4P a customer expects and also by comparing the interaction between the 4P and the best SPEC as a whole collectively. And through illustrations it shows its applicability to evaluating business model in practice and finally asserts that PBR works as the baseline for pricing policy and as a criterion of business model evaluation in any circumstances.

  • The purpose of the study was to investigate the mother-child interactions in terms of maternal child- rearing behavior, maternal self-esteem, and their school-age children's self-esteem. The subjects were, all living in the Seoul area. A pre-test was conducted twice on 98 subjects. Each time the values of Chronbach's ${\alpha}$ were obtained on maternal behavior, maternal self-esteem and children's self-esteem. Data analysis was by ANOVA, Pearson's product-moment correlation. multiple regression analysis. Chronbach's ${\alpha}$, and factor analysis. Children's self-esteem was positively related (1) to family background factors:educational level, employment status of mothers, social economic status, and number of siblings (2) to maternal self-esteem and (3) to maternal child-rearing behavior in the dimensions of affection, acceptance, and encouragement of independency. Children's self-esteem was negatively related to maternal child-rearing behavior in the dimensions of hostility, rejection and encouragement of dependency. The relative importance of independent variables on children's self-esteem was found to be in the following order:mother's educational level. social economic status, and number of siblings (${\beta}=0.5935$, p< .001), maternal child-rearing behavior in the affection-hostility dimension (${\beta}=0.0849$, p< .001), and in the acceptance-rejection dimension(${\beta}=0.0365$, p< .05). The regression model showed that 25 percent of the children's self-esteem could be accounted for by family background factors. and maternal child-rearing behavior in the affection-hostility dimension and the acceptance-rejection dimension ($R^2=0.25$).

  • Hotel employees' emotional exhaustion, depersonalization, and decreased sense of accomplishment lead to the Hotel Employees' Burnout Phenomenon(HEBP). Specifically, a higher stress level leads to an increased incidence of burnout among employees. This high level of burnout results in a decreased desire to work, and ultimately results in decreased service provision levels. In order to resolve the phenomenon, a healing program linked to psychotherapy may be introduced. This program would serve at the company level. In addition, encouragement and advice from seniors and colleagues are also needed. The psychological burden should be minimized by encouragement and compliments, rather than by the pressure for service quality improvement. Further, the employees' personal will to overcome the problem must be present.

  • This study assumes that recognition about scientific creativity may differ according to teacher, students and parents, and that this difference can affect the actual teaching, encouragement, and development of scientific creativity. Based on teacher's free responses and literature reviews about features of scientific creativity, we extracted 16 items describing contrary views about scientific creativity. Using these 16 items, we obtain responses from 652 students, teachers, soon-to-be-teachers (college of education students) and parents about whether they agree with each item or not. Results show that 1/4 of the participants agreed with the views contrary to the views accepted in literature. And we found out which views contrary to the accepted views in literature were agreed upon by participants, and that which items divided the groups for having contrary views. From these results, we discuss the possible effects of participants' recognition on teaching, encouragement and development of scientific creativity, and suggest so further studies.
