능력증강 교육프로그램이 고등학생의 능력증강과 정신건강에 미치는 효과 (Effect of Empowerment Education Program on Empowerment and Mental Health in High School Student)

  • Purposes: This study was to examine the effects of empowerment education programs on empowerment and mental health in high school students. Methods: This study involved a nonequivalent control group pre-test and post-test design. The subjects for this study consisted of 421 high school students who attended two general high schools in Busan. The 211 students in the experimental group received empowerment education training, while the 210 students in the control group did not. The data were collected from March 2, 2004 to July 20, 2004. The empowerment education program consisted of 17 separate 50-minute sessions. The questionnire was developedby authors and revised it based on experts' advice. SPSS 11.0 program was used to analyze the data. Chi-square test and t-test were used to test the homogeneity of general characteristics and dependent variables. Student's t-test was used to evaluate the differences between the experimental group and control group after the treatment. Results: Just as we hypothesized, the experimental group exhibited higher empowerment scores than the control group. For subcategory, Score of self-efficacy and self-esteem increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the control group. However, the score of decision-making ability did not increase significantly. The data failed to support our second hypothesis that the experimental group would have higher mental health scores than the control group. Although the score of self-scale increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the control group, the score of social-support and psychopathology did not. Conclusions: Empowerment education programs are effective for empowerment of high school students. However, such training is effective only for promoting the self scale but not overall mental health. Thus, we suggest the application of the empowerment education program to make high school students aware of their abilities. Furthermore, we suggest the implementation of mental health programs to supplement such empowerment education programs.

Community Empowerment Models of Tourism Village Based on Superior Commodities: Realizing Economic Resilience

  • Purpose - Research on community empowerment based on superior commodities to improve the economic resilience of the tourist village of Lumajang Regency is an investigative descriptive study to obtain an overview of the problems of community economic development, especially regarding economic resilience. The output of this research activity is the formation of integrated and comprehensive strategic programs and activities in order to improve economic empowerment and food security of the community around the tourist village. Research design, data, and methodology - This research method applies several methods of analysis such as the Loqation Quotion (LQ) method, SWOT analysis, Trend analysis, and analysis of Community Economic Empowerment in the agricultural sub-sector. Results - This research has strategic values and objectives in addition to providing important information to improve food security of tourism villages in Lumajang district in particular and disadvantaged communities in Indonesia in general. Through this supportive community economic empowerment programs, Lumajang District has an agricultural area and at the same time as a nature-based tourism area that supports it. Conclusion - Village tourism community empowerment activities are taken based on existing superior commodities. The existing tourism village program in Lumajang district can be used as one of the references for the upcoming tourism village program.

상황리더십 프로그램이 간호리더의 비판적 사고, 코칭 및 임파워먼트에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of Situational Leadership Program on Critical Thinking, Coaching and Empowerment of Nurse Leader)

  • 본 연구는 상황리더십 프로그램이 간호리더의 비판적 사고, 코칭, 임파워먼트를 높이는데 도움이 되는지를 알아보기 위한 실험연구이다. 표본 수는 G*Power프로그램을 이용해 추출하였고, 대상자는 대도시에 소재한 대학병원의 간호 리더 54명과 간호사 342명이었다. 자료 분석은 SPSS WIN 18.0을 사용하여 빈도분석, t-test, ${\chi}^2$-test, repeated measures ANOVA로 하였으며, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 상황리더십 프로그램으로 인해 비판적 사고는 실험군이 유의하게 증가하였고 대조군은 유의하게 감소하였다. 2. 상황리더십 프로그램으로 인해 코칭은 실험군이 유의하게 증가하였고 대조군은 유의하게 감소하였다. 3. 상황리더십 프로그램으로 인해 임파워먼트는 실험군이 유의하게 증가하였고 대조군은 유의하게 감소하였다. 따라서 상황리더십 프로그램은 간호리더의 비판적 사고, 코칭, 임파워먼트에 효과가 있다고 할 수 있다. 앞으로 상황리더십 프로그램을 간호사에게 적용시키면 임상 중에 발생한 상황의 대처나 조직생활에 있어서의 비판적 사고, 코칭, 임파워먼트 증진에 도움이 될 것 이다.

치매노인 가족 지지프로그램이 치매가족의 임파워먼트와 치매태도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of a Support Program for Family Caregivers of Elderly with Dementia on Empowerment and Attitudes toward Dementia)

  • Purpose: This research was conducted to identify the effects of providing support programs to families of elderly with dementia on family empowerment and attitudes toward dementia. Methods: A nonequivalent control group pre- and post-test design was used. Participants were 49 family caregivers, experimental (24) and control (25), recruited from families through a dementia support center in Y district. This program implemented Haearim, a support program for family caregivers of demented elders developed by the National Institute of Dementia in 2016. Outcome measures were empowerment and attitudes toward to dementia. Data were analyzed with a ${\chi}^2-test$, independent t-test, Fisher's exact probability test, paired t-test, and repeated measures ANOVA with SPSS/PC version 20.0. Results: Family empowerment (F=6.84, p=.002) and family caregivers' attitudes (F=16.48, p<.001) toward dementia in the experimental group improved significantly more than that of the control group after intervention. Conclusion: Results indicate that support programs for families of elderly with dementia are effective in positively changing empowerment and attitudes toward dementia among family caregivers.

패션업체 판매원의 서비스교육과 임파워먼트가 직무만족, 고객지향성과 직무성과에 미치는 영향 (The effects of service education and empowerment for sales person of fashion companies on customer orientation, job performance and job satisfaction)

  • The study focuses on verifying the effects of service education and empowerment on job satisfaction, job performance, and customer orientation. 290 salespeople working for fashion companies participated by completing a survey. The collected data was then analyzed with SPSS 16.0 and AMOS 7.0. Structural equation modeling was used to examine the goodness of fit. Looking at the results of this study, the service education of salespersons in fashion companies was shown to affect their level of satisfaction with their compensation, whereas empowerment affected their psychological satisfaction. These findings indicate that the service training and empowerment as experienced by salespersons working for fashion companies affect their customer orientation and job performance. Specifically, psychological satisfaction as part of the overall level of job satisfaction was found directly to affect their customer orientation, whereas their satisfaction with their compensation did not affect their customer orientation. Customer-orientation as influenced by service education and empowerment was revealed to have direct effect on job performance. The results of this study indicate that the service education of salesperson working for fashion companies and their level of empowerment create job satisfaction and customer orientation in these individuals. This study will be a valuable source of information for those who create salesperson empowerment programs and salesperson management strategies for fashion companies. Such programs and management strategies can facilitate efficient job performance by salespersons working for fashion companies and increase their level of job satisfaction.

어촌마을 주민참여 교육 프로그램 효과성 분석에 관한 연구 -지역애착도와 공동체의식 향상을 중심으로- (A Study on the Effect of Resident Participatory Education Program in Fishing Village -Focused on Improvement of Community Attachment and Sense of Community-)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of "resident participatory education programs". This study methods was that applied this education programs to the residents of the fishing village after develop of education programs, and was surveyed to ninety five residents of these. As a result of the survey, "community attachment" and "sense of community" showed statistically significant differences from consciousness before and after education. Also, difference of residents consciousness according to the presence or absence of an education showed the same trend too. And, If in the presence or absence of the educational experience, residents consciousness was improved after the education programs. In other words, an education programs applied to in this study can be said to effective to that raise awareness of the residents. And this can be said to contribute in empowerment too.

노인일자리사업 참여자의 셀프리더십과 임파워먼트가 직무만족 및 직무성과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Job Satisfaction and the Job Performance by Participants' Self-leadership and Empowerment in Senior Employment Programs)

  • 본 연구는 노인일자리사업 참여자의 셀프리더십과 임파워먼트가 직무만족을 매개로 하여 직무성과에 미치는 영향을 검증하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상은 광주, 전남, 전북, 제주지역 노인일자리사업 참여자로 총 158부가 분석에 사용되었다. 연구결과를 도출하기 위해 SPSS Version 12.0 프로그램을 사용하였으며, 각 변수에 대한 요인분석과 신뢰도 검증을 실시하였고, 가설검증을 위해 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과, 노인일자리사업 참여자의 셀프리더십과 임파워먼트가 직무만족의 매개효과를 통해 직무성과가 극대화 된다고 나타났다. 이를 위해 노인일자리사업 참여자의 자연적보상전략과 의미성, 역량, 영향력 강화 방안을 제시하였다.

국내 만성질환자 임파워먼트 관련요인 고찰에 대한 융합연구 (Convergence review of Factors related to Empowerment of Patients with Chronic Diseases in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 국내의 만성질환자를 대상으로 수행된 임파워먼트 관련요인에 대한 문헌을 고찰하였다. 2011년 1월부터 2020년 4월까지 출판된 문헌을 주요 데이터베이스에서 검색하였으며, 14편을 최종분석에 사용하였다. 모두 단년도 횡단적 연구로, 회귀분석을 이용한 연구가 가장 많았다. 임파워먼트 측정 도구는 Diabetes Empowerment Scale-Short Form (DES-SF)를 사용한 연구가 4편(28.6%)으로 가장 많았다. 본 연구결과 국내 만성질환자의 자가관리, 사회적지지, 건강정보이해능력, 삶의 질과 임파워먼트와의 관련성을 확인할 수 있었다. 본 연구는 국내의 만성질환자를 대상으로 임파워먼트 측정 도구 개발, 중재프로그램 개발에 기초가 될 것이다.

간호사의 임파워먼트가 직무만족, 업무생산성 및 이직의도에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Empowerment on Job Satisfaction, Task Performance and Turnover Intention by Hospital Nurses)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to analyze the effects of empowerment on job satisfaction, task performance and turnover intention and to identify the relationship among them in hospital nurses. Methods: The subjects were 256 nurses working for one university and three general hospital in J city. The data were analyzed by SPSS 11.5. Results: The mean score of empowerment was 2.86, job satisfaction was 3.00, task performance was 3.29 and turnover intention was 3.01. The empowerment was positively correlated with job satisfaction(r=.63, p<.001) and task performance(r=.32, p<.001), but negatively correlated with turnover intention(r=-.17, p<.05). The significant predictive factors of job satisfaction and task performance were information and support in empowerment. And turnover intention was resources in empowerment. Conclusion: These result suggest that empowerment improvement programs should be development to improve the quality of nursing.

동료지원가 활동을 통해 나타난 정신장애인의 임파워먼트 경험 (Empowerment Experience of Mentally Ill Persons Providing Peer Support)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to describe the empowerment experience of mentally ill persons providing peer support. Methods: Three peer supporters were recruited. A small group interview was conducted with peer supporters in November 2018. The transcribed data were analyzed using a qualitative case study. Results: Three primary themes and seven sub-themes emerged as follows. The first theme is "Personal empowerment," including 1) Remove the sense of helplessness, 2) Be confident, and 3) Establish self-identity. The second theme is "interpersonal empowerment", including 1) Breaking out of isolation and taking an interest in peers, and 2) Assert opinion to family. The last theme was "political empowerment", including 1) Want to legalize "peer support program", and 2) Move to promote "peer support program". Conclusion: Through the activities of peer support, mentally ill persons have diverse empowerment experiences. The results of this study indicated that legislation of the peer support program is necessary to improve their empowerment experience. And it calls for study focusing on the effectiveness and necessity of peer support programs.
