경제통합이 부가가치 기준 무역(TiVA)에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Economic Integration on Trade in Value Added (TiVA))

  • 본 연구는 OECD-WTO의 부가가치 기준 무역(TiVA) 데이터를 이용하여 경제통합이 부가가치 기준 무역에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. 연구결과 경제통합은 회원국간의 무역을 통계적으로 유의하게 증가시키는 것을 확인하였다. 이는 전통적 의미의 최종재와 중간재뿐만 아니라 수출에서 차지하는 국내 및 외국의 부가가치 규모도 증가하는 것을 확인하였다. 아울러 경제통합이 국내 및 외국의 부가가치 무역을 증가시키는 효과가 대체로 비슷하여 총수출에서 국내부가가치가 차지하는 비중을 증가시키거나 감소시키지 않는다는 것을 확인하였다.

  • Differentiation strategies have been suggested as the critical sources of competitive advantage in B2C industry where customers can switch internet shopping mall with one click with virtually no transaction cost. Indeed, competition on low pricing cannot be a viable strategy in B2C industry. Moreover, cultivating customer loyalty to attain profitability is still a challenging task for most internet shopping mall. In this study, we provide empirical analysis results on key managerial variables that indicate the difference between the product categories in terms of customer perception on relative value importance. We first identified comprehensive managerial variables and organized them in terms of customer decision stage. Next, with reference to extant literatures on product characteristics based e-commerce strategy, hypotheses are developed to formalize the customer value differences on the key managerial variables. Empirical testing results indicated that there are significant differences on customer perceived value of the key managerial variables between the product groups. The findings provide useful insight for further study on e-commerce differentiation strategy.

중국관광객의 면세점 바오마이 결정요인에 대한 실증연구 (Determinants of BAOMAI of Chinese Customer in Duty-Free Shop: Analytical Framework and Empirical Analysis)

  • This paper examines that determinants of BAOMAI, (i.e., behavior of Chinese tourist bulk purchase in duty free shop) with analytical framework and empirical tests. The results of applying the structural equation modeling to 196 samples suggest that Chinese tourist consumption orientations (conspicuous/compulsive/unplanned consumption) have a positive effect on BAOMAI decision value chain (perceived value and loyalty). The marketing mix of duty free shop as control variables in research framework also have a positive effect on BAOMAI perceived values (functional/social/emotional value). This paper has a contribution to prior literatures: the first empirical analysis on BAOMAI determinants with exploring scholarly definition.

모조 태풍 합성 재분석 바람장을 이용한 북서태평양 극치 해상풍 추정 (Estimation of Extreme Wind Speeds in the Western North Pacific Using Reanalysis Data Synthesized with Empirical Typhoon Vortex Model)

  • In this study, extreme wind speeds in the Western North Pacific (WNP) were estimated using reanalysis wind fields synthesized with an empirical typhoon vortex model. Reanalysis wind data used is the Fifth-generation European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts (ECMWF) reanalysis (ERA5) data, which was deemed to be the most suitable for extreme value analysis in this study. The empirical typhoon vortex model used has the advantage of being able to realistically reproduce the asymmetric winds of a typhoon by using the gale/storm-forced wind radii information in the 4 quadrants of a typhoon. Using a total of 39 years of the synthesized reanalysis wind fields in the WNP, extreme value analysis is applied to the General Pareto Distribution (GPD) model based on the Peak-Over-Threshold (POT) method, which can be used effectively in case of insufficient data. The results showed that the extreme analysis using the synthesized wind data significantly improved the tendency to underestimate the extreme wind speeds compared to using only reanalysis wind data. Considering the difficulty of obtaining long-term observational wind data at sea, the result of the synthesized wind field and extreme value analysis developed in this study can be used as basic data for the design of offshore structures.

  • In this paper we consider empirical Bayes estimation of the hazard rate and survival probabilities with right censored data under the assumption that the hazard function is constant over the period of observation and the prior distribution is gamma. We provide an estimator of the first derivative of the prior moment generating function that converges at each point to the true value in $L_2$ and use it to obtain, easy to compute, asymptotically optimal estimators under the squared error loss function.

Research on Participation and Position Evaluation of Korean Manufacturing Global Value Chain: Based on the Comparative Analysis with China and the United States

  • Purpose - This article will take the Korean manufacturing industry as an example to estimate Korea's global value chain status from the perspective of overall and sub-industry, hoping to provide a theoretical reference for Korean manufacturing to climb the global value chain. Design/methodology - Based on the WIOD data. The data is calculated by using MATLAB (2014a) coding. The data for 6 sectors are classified according to the International Standard Industrial Classification revision 3 (ISIC Rev. 3), the WIOD data are used to calculate and compare the position, participation and dynamics of the Korea, China and USA' manufacturing industry in the 1995-2016. Findings - The empirical results supported conclusions of the theoretical model. In the Korean GVC of electrical and optical sector, while stronger forward linkages than backward linkages to GVC are advantageous for an average advanced country, the benefits of downstream tasks are pronounced for non-advanced countries. And proved the correlation for an index to capture a country's upstream position or downstream position, it makes sense to compare that Korea's exports of intermediates in the same sector that are used by China and USA. Originality/value - The first is to re-examine the characteristics of South Korea's participation in global value chains under a more systematic and accurate theoretical framework, which provides a new empirical reference for related research; the second is to content covers of the manufacturing 6 sectors, so as to more completely describe the characteristics of Korean manufacturing's participation in global value chains; The value of this paper is providing empirical evidence of the effect of Korea's the GVC of manufacturing sectors. In the GVC of 6 sectors, first three have a higher position in the value chain and are in the upper middle and upper reaches of the GVC. The latter two have a low GVC position index, which has become the main sector that pulls down the overall position of Korea's manufacturing industry.

  • Being the new paradigm of "knowledge based economy", knowledge asset get to be the key to evaluate the firm's value. For a instance, Scandia firstly informed the intellectual capital report with its own financial statements in 1994. Some financial institutions have emphasized the roles of knowledge assets in the evaluating firm's value, too. But the concept of knowledge asset is so extensively defined that the result of evaluation is not as much reliable as financial statements. As previous studies examined the firm-specific cases, the sectoral pattern of knowledge asset has been ignored and it cause the difficulty in the empirical study. Moreover, the objectivity of study is ambiguous. Therefore, we regards knowledge asset as a technological knowledge asset. Which is related to R&D(research & development) and technology. Because this definition is more measurable than others and can play a frontier role in evaluating the knowledge asset. We extract the criteria related to the technological knowledge asset through the survey of 'Scandia' and other previous studies and add other criteria, which explain the Korean-specific environments. We gather data from "Technological Innovation"(STEPI, 1997, 1999) and "The bibliography of Korean R&D institutes"(KITA,1998) and "the survey of listed company"(Daewoo Securities, 1998. 1999). As the results of empirical study, the variables which explain the financial value of firms do not reflect the 'technological knowledge asset' well. It results from the factors as followings. Firstly, instead of stock price the proxy measurement related to 'knowledge asset' is needed. Secondly, the sample is biased to the large scale firms so we'll collect samples more broadly. Finally, the concept of 'technological knowledge asset' is too narrow to explain the value of firm. We expect the result of this empirical study gives contribution to the evaluation of firms' value more exactly.

스킨스쿠버 다이빙 참여자의 경험적 가치가 감정반응 및 행동반응에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of empirical value of skin SCUBA diving participants on the emotional response and behavioral responses)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 스킨스쿠버다이빙 참여자의 경험적 가치와 감정반응 및 행동반응과의 관계를 규명하는 데 있다. 본 연구의 대상은 2016년 서울올림픽 경기장 스쿠버 다이빙 풀과 수원 월드컵 경기장 스쿠버 다이빙 풀에서 다이빙을 하고 있는 참여자 300명을 편의표본 추출법을 활용하여 표집 하였다. 이중 불성실한 답변으로 간주되는 41부를 삭제하여 총 259의 최종유표본을 가지고 자료처리 하였다. 자료처리는 PASW 18.0 Ver을 활용하여 빈도분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 신뢰도 분석, 상관관계분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하였다. 구체적인 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 스킨스쿠버 다이빙 참여자의 경험적 가치는 감정반응에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 스킨스쿠버 다이빙 참여자의 경험적 가치는 행동반응에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 스킨스쿠버 다이빙 참여자의 감정반응은 행동반응에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

RMR을 이용한 암반의 주요 변형계수 추정식의 적용성 평가 (The Evaluation for Estimation Method of Deformation Modulus of Rock Mass Using RMR System)

  • 변형계수는 터널의 안정성 검토나 지보시스템 계산의 중요한 변수이다. 현장조건을 고려한 현장시험을 통한 변형계수 추정은 많은 비용과 시간이 소요됨으로 현장 암반의 절리 특성 등을 고려할 수 있는 RQD, RMR 등을 이용한 경험적인 제안식들이 주로 이용된다. 그러나 이들 제안식들은 대부분이 해외 사례연구를 통한 경험식으로서 이러한 식들로는 국내 암반의 강도 및 변형특성에 맞는 변형계수를 추정에는 제한이 있을 것으로 사료된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 국내 8개 현장에서 실시한 공내재하시험 결과를 이용한 측정값을 RMR 값을 이용한 기존 이론식으로부터 산정된 추정값과 비교하여 국내 현장에서의 적용성을 평가하였다. 분석결과, 암종별로 변형계수와 RMR 값의 상관관계가 뚜렷하게 나타나는 경우도 있는 반면에 자료의 분산이 매우 불규칙한 경우도 있어 기존 이론식의 적용에 있어 어려움이 있었다. 따라서 향후 국내 현장조건에 맞는 적절한 추정식이 제안되어야 한다고 사료된다.

소비가치와 경험적 제품평가가 희소성 메시지 효과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of the Consumers Value and Experience Quality on the Effects of Scarcity Message Types)

  • The major aim of this study was to find out that the relation between consumers value and experience quality toward purchase intention in addition to the influence of the consumers value and experience quality on the effects of scarcity message types collaboration using limited edition in global SPA brand. As a result of an empirical analysis, it shows that consumers value and experience quality are co-related to the intention of purchase, especially, brand familiarity and reputation influenced scarcity valuation in the affirmative and both emotional value and epistemic value influenced the intention of purchase under scarcity message. The moderating effect of consumers value and experience quality however, turns out to be not significant although its effect is directionally supported that is purchase intention was high when scarcity message is shown. Moreover, emotional epistemic group was influenced by scarcity message so we found that consumers value is changed to emotional with subjective. This result indicates that we need the scarcity message type reflecting the characteristics of consumers value and experience quality to increase customer's purchase intention.
