아동의 행동발달 평정척도 개발에 관한 연구 (Development of a Behavior Rating Scale for Preschool Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a behavior rating scale for the evaluation of children's development for utilization by preschool teachers. The procedures for the study included content validation, pilot test, and main study. A total of 97 items were retained after the content validation and pilot test. The items of the scale were grouped into five areas (physical, language, cognitive, emotional, and social development) and 11 sub-areas. The resulting "Behavior Rating Scale for Preschool Children" was administered to 479 boys and girls, 3-6 through 6-5 years of age, selected from 10 different kindergartens and early education centers in Seoul, Pusan, and Chonju. The analysis of data was done with SPSS computer programs, including item analysis, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ for reliability, factor analysis to test construct validity, two-way ANOVA to test age and sex differences, and percentile norms. The 97 items of the scale were found to be satisfactory in terms of item discrimination with indices ranging from .31 to .73. Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ was .98 for the total scale and ranged from .87 to .93 in specific domains, which was considered satisfactory. The factors extracted from each area were consistent with the educational objectives of the Yonsei Open Education Program except for emotional development. The intercorrelations among the domains were relatively high, ranging from .56 to .81. Age differences were significant in cognitive, physical, and language development, but not significant in social and emotional development. Sex differences were significant in all areas with girls higher on the average than the boys. Percentile ranks were drived from the total score for each age group and quartiles were calculated for sub-scores in each domain.

해양경찰공무원의 감정적 부조화와 직무소진의 영향관계: 감정지능의 조절효과 분석 (Effects of Korean Marine Police's Emotive Dissonance on Job Burnout: Focused on Moderating Effects of Emotional Intelligence)

  • 경찰공무원들의 일상생활은 수많은 범죄행위와 범죄피해 그리고 범죄현장에 직면하는 업무를 담당한다. 이러한 경우 개인의 부정적인 감정이 표현될 수도 있다. 해양경찰 조직 내에서 구성원들의 부정적인 감정은 직장에 대한 기여도와 직무에 대한 성취도 그리고 효과적인 직무처리를 위한 자신감을 향상시켜 준다. 따라서 조직구성원의 감정적 부조화를 통제하는 것은 조직의 발전에도 큰 도움이 된다. 이 연구는 해양경찰공무원의 감정적 부조화가 직무소진에 미치는 영향을 검증하고 감정지능의 매개효과를 검증하는데 집중하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 해양경찰공무원의 감정적 부조화 하위요인과 직무소진의 관계에서 의식적으로 감정표현을 하거나 절제하려고 노력할 때 감정적 부조화를 느끼지 않으며 바람직한 감정표현을 하는 과정에서 감정지능이 감소하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 둘째, 해양경찰공무원의 감정지능은 직무소진에 유의미한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 해양경찰공무원의 감정적 부조화가 직무소진에 미치는 영향관계에서 감정지능은 통계적으로 유의미한 매개효과가 있는 것을 확인하였다. 결국, 직접효과와 매개효과를 비교한 결과, 해양경찰공무원들은 감정적 부조화가 직무소진을 느끼는 것만큼 감정지능에 의해 직접적으로 직무소진을 경험하는 경향이 나타났다.

  • 본 연구는 사회·정서적 학습 이론(the social and emotional learning, SEL)에 근거를 두고 초등 도덕교육의 목표인 초등학생들의 "바르고 선한 인성(character)"을 어떻게 하면 보다 효과적으로 함양할 것인가? 의 물음에 답하기 위해, 사회·정서적 능력 중에서도 특히 사회적 인식(social awareness) 및 대인 관계 기술(relationship skill) 함양에 초점을 두고 탐구하였다. 본 연구가 SEL에 토대를 두고자 하는 이유는 초등학생들의 도덕성 발달이란 도덕적 지식(앎)의 발달만으로 가능하지 않고, 도덕적 지식을 행동으로 옮기는데 있어 중요한 가교의 역할(예를 들면, 자동차가 움직이기 위해 연료가 필수적이듯이 일종의 도덕적 에너지의 역할)을 하고 있는 사회·정서적 능력의 발달이 병행될 때 가능한 바, 그동안 우리나라 도덕교육에서는 이러한 사회·정서적 능력 혹은 도덕적 감정의 필요성에 대해 강조하면서도 이를 어떻게 하면 효과적으로 교육할 것인가에 대해 구체적인 실천 방안 마련이 미흡하였기 때문이다. 초등학생들의 사회 인식 및 대인 관계 능력 함양의 모색은 도덕과 수업을 통한 방안과 도덕과 수업 이외의 활동을 통한 방안을 중심으로 구안하였다.

감정 온톨로지 기반의 영화 추천 기법 (A Movie Recommendation Method based on Emotion Ontology)

  • Due to the rapid advancement of the mobile technology, smart phones have been widely used in the current society. This lead to an easier way to retrieve video contents using web and mobile services. However, it is not a trivial problem to retrieve particular video contents based on users' specific preferences. The current movie recommendation system is based on the users' preference information. However, this system does not consider any emotional means or perspectives in each movie, which results in the dissatisfaction of user's emotional requirements. In order to address users' preferences and emotional requirements, this research proposes a movie recommendation technology to represent a movie's emotion and its associations. The proposed approach contains the development of emotion ontology by representing the relationship between the emotion and the concepts which cause emotional effects. Based on the current movie metadata ontology, this research also developed movie-emotion ontology based on the representation of the metadata related to the emotion. The proposed movie recommendation method recommends the movie by using movie-emotion ontology based on the emotion knowledge. Using this proposed approach, the user will be able to get the list of movies based on their preferences and emotional requirements.

임상간호사의 일터영성과 감성지능이 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향 (The Influences of Workplace Spirituality and Emotional Intelligence on the Organizational Citizenship Behavior for Clinical Nurses)

  • Objectives : This study was done to identify the influences of workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence on the organizational citizenship behavior of clinical nurses. Methods : The subjects were 230 clinical nurses, working over 6 months in four general hospitals in three cities. Data were obtained from March 20 to March 30, 2016, with a self-report questionnaire, and analyzed using the IBM SPSS 21.0 program. Results : The factors related to the organizational citizenship behavior of nurses were workplace spirituality(${\beta}$=.36), emotional intelligence(${\beta}$=.29), 40 years of age or higher(${\beta}$=.26), working in a special ward(${\beta}$=.11), and turnover intention(${\beta}$=.10). These variables explained 61.6% of the variance in organizational citizenship behavior of nurses. Conclusions : In order to improve the quality of nursing services and business performance in hospital organizations, it is necessary to enhance workplace spirituality and emotional intelligence. This would lead to promoting organizational citizenship behavior through the development and application of intervention programs from a nursing organization perspective.

중의정지병증적내함해석(中医情志病证的内涵解析) (The meaning of Mental Disorder in Chinese Medicine)

  • Jeongji(情志) in Chinese medicine refers to a series of psychological activity which is expressed as hui(喜), no(怒), wu(優), sa(思), bi(悲), gong(恐), gyeong(驚), together with emotion, sentiment, and cognition, which are manifested as responses of the human body to environmental changes both inside and outside. Sa(思) is a major cognitive activity, and the other six emotions are main emotional activities. The emphasis on the interrelationship between cognition, sentiment, and emotional activity is a unique characteristic of the Jeongji(情志) concept in China. Jeongji[Mental] disorder refers to a series of diseases that has a close link between the attack, clinical presentation and emotional stimulation. The attack is deeply affected by emotional stimulation, with which physical symptoms are either present or absent. However, emotional changes are clear most of the time, their effect on disease development noticeable as well. To sum up, Jeongji[Mental] disorder is related to a wide range of medical problems in fields such as internal, surgical, gynecology, pediatrics, and various psychiatric disorders, not to mention contemporary psychological disorders, neurosis, and all kinds of mental illnesses of today. Moreover, the mental and physical disorders of today all share a common pathogenesis, clinical manifestation and treatment discipline. All the more reason for deeper professional research.

한글 글꼴 추천시스템을 위한 크라우드 방식의 감성 속성 적용 및 분석 (Application and Analysis of Emotional Attributes using Crowdsourced Method for Hangul Font Recommendation System)

  • Various researches on content sensibility with the development of digital contents are under way. Emotional research on fonts is also underway in various fields. There is a requirement to use the content expressions in the same way as the content, and to use the font emotion and the textual sensibility of the text in harmony. But it is impossible to select a proper font emotion in Korea because each of more than 6,000 fonts has a certain emotion. In this paper, we analysed emotional classification attributes and constructed the Hangul font recommendation system. Also we verified the credibility and validity of the attributes themselves in order to apply to Korea Hangul fonts. After then, we tested whether general users can find a proper font in a commercial font set through this emotional recommendation system. As a result, when users want to express their emotions in sentences more visually, they can get a recommendation of a Hangul font having a desired emotion by utilizing font-based emotion attribute values collected through the crowdsourced method.

Daily Dynamics of Grateful Mood, Emotional Support from Parents, and Psychological Well-Being across Seven Days among Korean Adolescents

  • Even though gratitude is considered as an important virtue to possess for successful adulthood, little is known about what cultivates gratitude and its benefits associated with psychological well-being among adolescents. By examining gratitude as a daily mood, this study asked (1) whether adolescents' daily grateful mood varied as a function of daily parental emotional support and (2) whether adolescents' psychological well-being varied as a function of daily grateful mood within person across seven days. The sample consisted of 70 adolescents in 8th grade recruited from a public middle school. Participants completed daily diary checklists online each evening for seven days. On days when adolescents perceived greater parental emotional support from mother or father than they typically did during the week, they rated their grateful mood to be higher than other days. With more emotional support from father, adolescents reported more grateful mood not only on that day, but also the following day. While this result highlights the important role that parents play in adolescents' experience of grateful mood, emotionally supportive behaviors of fathers appear particularly promising for cultivating gratitude. Further, daily grateful mood on a given day accounted for the significant variance in adolescents' psychological well-being not only on the same day, but also the following day. Research and practical implications of the results are discussed.

감성캐릭터의 감정표현 기술의 사례분석 (A Case Study of Emotion Expression Technologies for Emotional Characters)

  • 오늘날 디지털 기반 커뮤니케이션 환경 속의 사용자들은 상호작용이 가능한 커뮤니케이션을 원하게 되면서, 사용자 중심의 감정표현 도구를 개발할 필요성이 대두되고 있다. 본 연구는 실시간으로 변화하는 개인화된 감정표현이 가능한 감성캐릭터를 개발하기 위한 목적을 가진 기초연구이다. 이를 위해 현재 얼굴표정을 중심으로 감정을 표현하는 기술이 어떻게 구현되고 있는지 국내외 연구동향 및 감성캐릭터를 사용한 다양한 서비스 사례분석을 통해 향후 감성캐릭터의 개발 방향을 제시해보고자 한다.

Influence of Perceptions of Death, End-of-Life Care Stress, and Emotional Intelligence on Attitudes towards End-of-Life Care among Nurses in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the influence of perceptions of death, end-of-life (EOL) care stress, and emotional intelligence on attitudes toward EOL care among nurses in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). Methods: The participants were 111 nurses working in a NICU who had experienced EOL care at least once. Data were analyzed using the t-test, Pearson correlation coefficient, and stepwise multiple regression analysis in SPSS for Windows. Results: The mean score for perceptions of death was 3.16 out of 5, the mean score for EOL care stress was 3.61 out of 5, the mean emotional intelligence score was 4.66 out of 7, and the average score for EOL care attitudes was 2.77 out of 4. The factors affecting attitudes towards EOL care were academic degree, anxiety regarding death, negativity towards death, experiences of patient death, and emotional intelligence. The explanatory power of these variables for attitudes towards EOL care was 24.7%. Conclusion: The results of this study are expected to serve as a basic reference for the development of nursing education programs and EOL care protocols to improve attitudes toward EOL care among NICU nurses.
