  • In this study, Emotion-DNA is constructed in the same way asthat the human DNA constructs the human body. Emotion-DNA is copied and translated in the same way as that the human DNA copies and translates itself. We made an attempt to embody the mind by Emotion-DNA like the symbols "A, T, G, C, U" that make up the chromosome of the human body. This is a diagram of the flow of emotions that the human body operates by literary works. These schemes present new directions for the therapeutic analysis of literary works and for the creation of therapeutic literary works. In this study, we analyzed the nominal Emotion-syllables as a framework of the structuring of emotional DNA. As a result, through the structuring of the emotional DNA, it was judged that the therapeutic action of the human body, which is included in the Rated Sijo among the literary works, can be more concrete and powerful than the works of other genres.

  • This work aims at the design of the artwork for the atrium of a furniture department store. In complying with the request of the building owner I have established the basic concept, 'silence in movement - movement in silence', to design a artwork, which not only can make the various atmospheres in the store to the unique one, but also arrange an emotional stability for the visitors. Most exhibited furnitures are those that demand particular interests from the visitors, and the exhibition scale is enormous. So it is difficult to sustain the continuous inspiration and the emotional stability, and also it is hard to make the store have the consequent image. This problem can be resolved through the installation of the artwork that can evoke the visitor to the abundant sensitive receivability. The materials, which are used tp express the basic concept, are water, concrete, light and aluminium that represent a unified harmony in a contrast each other.

  • A way to increase effectiveness of charitable donation ads is to activate or magnify emotional experiences (e.g., sympathy, empathy, psychological distress) among target audience. Past studies suggest that mental imagery and attention, which activate or magnify emotional experiences, can be influenced by verbal message attributes (i.e., message concreteness and valence) of charitable donation advertisements. Based on the previous research, the study built a conceptual framework for processing of charitable donation advertising: message concreteness and valence ${\rightarrow}$ mental imagery and attention ${\rightarrow}$ emotional experiences ${\rightarrow}$ donation intention. To verify the framework, the study investigated on the influence of message concreteness and valence on mental imagery and attention through assessing ERP responses. It also examined how message concreteness and valence have an effect on the intent to donate through measuring the amount of donation. The study revealed that concrete message activated mental imagery more than abstract message whereas negative message enhanced attentional level more than positive message. Compared to the other conditions, when the message was concrete and negative, the amount of donation was significantly large.

  • Many child actors have appeared in various movies as the Korean film industry continues to evolve. As more children appear in violent and raunchy scenes, there are more concerns about the movie's effect on child actors. In some Western countries, many strategies have been developed for child actors, but for the Korean movie industry, the conditions are still poor for them. Although children who enter the concrete operational period are able to think logically and systematically, they are yet limited by their experiences. Adolescents in the formal operational period try to deal with all of the possibilities and assumptions logically and systematically with freedom from realistic contents and experiences. This period is very important because adolescents become more sensitive to others' feelings and they should develop their ego identity. Several studies have reported the indirect experiences through media including how the movie affected children and adolescents negatively. Depending on the individual's morality, judgment and emotional status, these effects were variable and inconsistent and could be relieved by several interventions. We could anticipate much bigger emotional effect on child actors who are acting directly and then are confronting themselves in the scene. Therefore, we suggest that the emotional effects of the movies on child actors can be managed properly by considering children's cognitive ability and emotional status, and establishing protective strategies before they are exposed to problematic scenes. Of course, it should be followed by evaluating them after the exposure and with follow-up management, if necessary.

  • This study starts with the premise that many problematic situations in modern society can seriously damage personal feelings and that this phenomenon can create anxiety in individuals and society. In order to address such anxiety in individuals and society, we would like to propose measures to heal emotions. Accordingly, 270 research trends related to emotions studied from 2005 to 2020 will be analyzed to establish the direction of future research on emotion healing. As a result of analyzing the trends of healing papers, active healing studies have been conducted since 2010, but reading and writing healing through specific academic societies has been the main focus. Theoretical research accounted for a large portion, and emotional research was steadily conducted. Although healing methods are expanding to various topics, they have not been commercialized as specific methods. As a result, we hope that concrete research to heal individual emotions will be expanded and measures to implement a stable future society will be proposed.

  • In this study, we developed a tool for measuring user's emotions expressed while using a product in the natural and accessible environment for the design field. Also, using emotional word logging software VideoTAME, we measured a user's emotions expressed while using a product. In the testing module of VideoTAME, participants evaluate their emotional changes through playing and watching the video clips of their performing tasks in the experiment room. In the analyzing module, the researchers replay the results created by participants during the experiment and analyze the results using Microsoft Excel. In this research, we have asked users to examine their emotional changes while watching the recorded video clip of them in the experiment room performing a series of tasks using a cellular phone. In this experiment, there were no big differences in the representative emotions expressed for each characteristics of task. The reason for this can be assumed it is because of the emotional changes occurred while facing specific situations when performing a task rather than the task itself. If more data is collected and concrete statistical analysis is done, it is expected that we can clarify what effect a product's usability has on user's emotions.

And we make an analysis of several websites based on various visual factors. Style provides emotion, a shared experience, context that makes the message arts function immediately apparent, and interests. It is a principle design feature that parallels cognitive function. Visual factors of website interface could be extracted from various aspects which are organization level, medial level, and formative level. Based on the extracted visual factors, we analyze the style which convey emotional idea. We select several sites which are opposite side in the image map with son-hard and warm-cool axis, and then make an analysis of them in two points which are organization and formative factors and communication means for emotional effect. To understand the systematic approach to website style could be helpful for figuring out the design problems and bringing out many solutions. It could be base for concrete guideline for website page design.
