간호사가 지각한 리더의 감성지능과 자신의 감성지능이 조직몰입 및 조직시민행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Leader's Emotional Intelligence and Nurse's own Emotional Intelligence on Organizational Commitment and Organizational Citizenship Behavior)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of leader's emotional intelligence and nurse's own emotional intelligence on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior. Methods: Data were collected by self-administered questionnaires from 346 clinical nurses, and analysed by the SPSS 18.0 program. Results: The Factors which influence organizational commitment were use of emotion of nurse (${\beta}$=.28), other's emotional appraisal of leader(${\beta}$=.25), regulation of emotion of leader(${\beta}$=.16), other's emotional appraisal of nurse(${\beta}$=14). These factors explained 36.7% of organizational commitment. The Factors which influence organizational citizenship behavior were other's emotional appraisal of nurse(${\beta}$=.25), use of emotion of nurse(${\beta}$=.24), regulation of emotion of nurse(${\beta}$=.23), use of emotion of leader(${\beta}$=.20). These factors explained 43.6% of organizational citizenship behavior. Conclusion: The results of this study can be used to develop hospitals' management strategies for enhancement of nurses' organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior.

Multi-dimensional Emotional Intelligence Effects on Intrinsic/Extrinsic Motivation and Job Satisfaction: Analysis Using Laborer Perceived Organizational Support

  • Purpose - Based on previous studies, this study extends current research and investigates whether the sub-factors of emotional intelligence increase job satisfaction or employee intrinsic and extrinsic motivation and perceived organizational support. Research design, data, and methodology - This study categorizes service employees' (consultants) emotional intelligence into four sub-factors: regulation of emotion, appraisal of emotion, utilization of emotion, and expression of emotion. The study then investigates the sub-factor effects on job satisfaction. A total of 353 valid questionnaires were collected. Results - The results of the path analysis showed that appraisal, utilization, and expression of emotion had a positive effect on intrinsic motivation, and utilization of emotion had a positive effect on extrinsic motivation. Extrinsic motivation had a positive effect on perceived organizational support and job satisfaction, and perceived organizational support had a positive effect on job satisfaction. Conclusion - As consultants' utilization of emotion is rendered as the ability to use emotion to improve performance, the conclusion is that such factors as monetary performance incentives are important in order to boost job satisfaction of the consultants.

  • 본 연구는 감정지능이 개인적 특징으로 전문화된 구성원의 이직을 방지하는 것과 고객지향이 중요하므로 고객지향과의 관계를 온라인쇼핑몰 콜센터 상담사를 대상으로 검증하였다. 배포한 170부 중 불성실한 응답 22부를 제외한 148부(87.05%)가 분석에 이용되었다. 실증분석에 활용된 도구는 SPSS 25.0이다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 감정활용은 고객지향에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 타인감정인식도 고객지향에 정(+)의 방향으로 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 자기감정인식은 고객지향에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 감정조절성은 고객지향에 정(+)의 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 시사점은 자신이 느끼는 감정의 원인과 자신의 감정을 이해하여야 고객의 요구에 즉각적으로 응대하고 고객의 일을 본인의 일처럼 생각하여 고객지향성을 가질 수 있다는 것이다.

감정노동, 감성지능이 종업원의 감정고갈에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Emotion Labor and Emotional Exhaustion : The Role of Emotional Intelligence)

  • A new research paradigm is emerging within organizational behavior, in both theory and empiricism, based on the increasing recognition of the importance of emotions to organizational life. This paper suggest that emotion intelligence play a moderate variables in relationship of emotion labor and emotional exhaustion. More specifically, it is proposed that emotional intelligence, the ability to understand and manage emotions in the employee self and others, contribute to effective emotions management in organizations. Four major aspects of emotion labor, appraisal and expression of emotion in oneself, appraisal and recognition of emotion in others, regulation of emotion in oneself and use of emotion to facilitate performance, are described. Also, the emotional intelligence are consists of four aspects, frequency of appropriate emotional display, attentiveness to required displayed rules, variety of emotions to be displayed and emotional dissonance. Then I propose how emotional intelligence contributes to of relations the emotion labor and emotional exhaustion. The purpose of this research is to investigate the impact of emotion labor to employee's emotional exhaustion to explore the moderating effects of the emotional intelligence between the emotion labor and emotional exhaustion. To complete the research the data were collected through a questionnaire from 147 employees from service company. After multi-hierarchical regression analysis, the outcomes of this study are the employee's emotional exhaustion are affected negatively by the three factors: major aspects of emotion labor, regulation of emotion in oneself, use of emotion to facilitate performance, make the moderation effect between emotion labor and emotional intelligence. These results indicate that instilling in others an appreciation of the importance of work activities: encouraging of true expression individual emotions, generating and maintaining well emotional climate and cooperation situations, and managing a meaningful environment for an organizational life.

류마티스 관절염 환자의 불확실성에 대한 적응에 영향을 미치는 요인 탐색 (An Exploratory Study of Factors affecting on Adaptation to Uncertainty in Rheumatoid Arthritis Patients)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the affecting factors on the adaptation to uncertainty in patients having rheumatoid arthritis. Subjects of the study constituted 222 patients who visited outpatient of rheumatic center in Seoul. Self report questionnaires were used to measure the variables affecting the adaptation to uncertainty. The variables affecting the adaptation to uncertainty were uncertainty, mastery, appraisal of danger, appraisal of opportunity, emotion focused coping, problem focused coping, pain, depression and activity of daily life(ADL). Reliability coefficients of these instruments were found Cronbach's $Alpha\;=\;.70{\sim}.94$. In data analysis, SPSSWIN 10.0 program was utilized for descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation, and multiple regression analysis. The results were as follows. 1) The range of total pain scores was from 0 to 147 and the mean score of the pain in rheumatoid arthritis patients was 72.64. 2) The range of total depression scores was from 20 to 72 and the mean score of the depression in rheumatoid arthritis patients was 39.86. 3) The range of total ADL scores was from 22 to 80 and the mean score of the ADL in rheumatoid arthritis patients was 72.56. 4) Among the independent variables, significant factors to explain the adaptation to pain in patients were danger appraisal of uncertainty(p<.05) and emotion focused coping(p<.05). 5) Among the independent variables, significant factors to explain the adaptation to depression in patients were danger appraisal of uncertainty(p<.001), opportunity appraisal of uncertainty(p<.001) and mastery(p<.005). 6) Among the independent variables, significant factors to explain the adaptation to ADL in patients were mastery(p<.001) and danger appraisal of uncertainty(p<.05).

경호업무수행자의 성격특성과 직무스트레스 대처행동 및 대처효과의 관계 (The Relationship of Safeguard Accomplishment Personality and Stress Coping Behavior)

  • The purpose of this research is to find relationships between safeguards' personality traits and stress coping behaviors. The findings then could provide data to adapt safeguards to their duties. For that, personality traits such as sociability, stability and stress coping behaviors and the effects were investigated. In addition, cognitive aspects which were known to influence stress coping behaviors were appraised. The findings of this research are as follows, First, regarding personality traits and stress coping behaviors, the unstable and unsocial group used the emotion-focused coping style more than the stable and social group. The two groups didn't show any significant differences in the problem-focused coping style. The A-type group used both the problem-focused style and the emotion-focused style more than the B-type group. The common characteristic of the unstable, the unsociable and the A-type groups was the heavy use of avoidance behaviors of the emotion-focused coping style. Second, In the correlation between the personal traits and the stress coping effects regarding adaptability, the stability influenced stress coping effects. Third, regarding the personality traits, the coping styles and the coping effects, A-type group showed high correlation with the sociability but not with the stability. The problem-focused coping style showed high correlation with the emotion-focused style. Fourth, the cognitive appraisal on the stress causes influenced the stress coping styles but not the stress coping effects. Fifth, the cognitive appraisal on the same stress causes didn't show any significant differences among the personality traits.

대학생의 정서지능이 개인작인신념에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Emotional Intelligence on Undergraduate Students' Personal Agency Beliefs)

  • 본 연구는 대학생의 정서지능이 개인작인신념에 미치는 영향을 분석하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 수도권 소재 대학생 446명을 대상으로 정서지능과 개인작인신념에 대한 측정도구를 기준으로 설문조사 하여 빈도분석, t-test, 일원배치분산분석(One-Way ANOVA), 상관분석, 선형회귀분석 등을 수행하였다. 연구결과 성별에 따라 정서지능의 정서조절, 개인작인신념의 능력신념에서 유의미한 차이가 드러났다. 학교 수준에 따라 정서지능의 타인정서지각과 개인작인신념의 능력신념에서 유의미한 차이가 검증되었으며 종교유무에 따라 정서지능의 타인정서지각, 정서활용에서, 개인작인신념의 능력신념에서 유의미한 차이가 나타났다. 또한 정서지능과 개인작인신념간의 상관이 높게 드러났다. 정서지능의 타인정서지각, 정서활용, 정서조절이 개인작인신념의 두 하위요인인 능력신념과 맥락신념 모두에 유의미한 영향을 미쳤으며 능력신념에는 47%, 맥락신념에 22%의 설명력을 보였다. 따라서 대학생의 진로발달에 맞는 진로선택의 과제를 잘 수행하기 위해 대학생의 정서지능과 개인작인신념을 높이는 다양한 동기향상 프로그램이 요구된다.

중국 호텔 종사원의 감성지능에 의한 회복탄력성이 조직유효성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Resilience by Emotional Intelligence of Hotel Employees in China on Organizational Effectiveness)

  • 중국의 호텔산업은 꾸준하게 성장하고 있지만, 다양한 성향을 가진 고객들을 상대하면서 극심한 스트레스를 받는 호텔 종사원들을 효율적으로 관리하는 방안에 대해서는 부족한 부분이 있다. 따라서 본 연구는 중국 호텔 종사원의 감성지능과 회복탄력성에 초점을 맞추고, 이러한 종사원들의 능력이 그들의 조직유효성에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 하였다. 즉, 본 연구에서는 중국 호텔종사원들의 자신 및 타인의 감성을 이해하고, 스스로의 감성을 조절 및 활용하는 능력인 감성지능이 스트레스 상황을 극복하는 능력인 회복탄력성을 향상시켜 그들의 직무만족 및 조직몰입을 높이고, 이직의도를 낮추는지를 확인하고자 하였다. 이에 본 연구는 중국 상하이에 있는 4. 5성급 호텔 종사원 322명을 대상으로 설문을 진행하여, 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS ver 19.0과 AMOS ver 19.0의 통계프로그램을 이용하여 신뢰성 및 타당성을 검증하고, 구조방정식 모형분석을 통해 가설을 확인하였다. 실증분석 결과 중국 호텔 종사원들의 감성지능의 하위 요소 중 자기감성이해, 감성조절, 감성활용은 회복탄력성에 향상시켰지만, 타인감성이해는 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 또한 감성지능을 통해 향상된 중국 호텔 종사원의 회복탄력성은 그들의 직무만족과 조직몰입을 높이는 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 그들의 직무만족은 조직몰입은 높이고, 이직의도는 낮췄으며, 조직몰입도 이직의도를 낮추는데 영향을 미치는 것으로 확인되었다. 이와 같은 본 연구의 결과는 중국 호텔 종사원들의 스트레스를 감소시키고, 직무만족과 조직몰입을 높이며, 이직의도를 낮추는데 그들의 감성지능과 회복탄력성의 중요성을 시사하였다.

명화가 유발하는 반응유형이 명화주입효과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Artwork-provoked Response Types on Art Infusion Effect)

  • Purpose - Recently, many theoretical researches suggested that arts-based marketing strategies provide many benefits for marketers to differentiate their brand or product from others. However, there has been little research focusing on consumers' response types from artwork (artifact-emotion appraisal; A-emotion vs. represented world-emotion appraisal; R-emotion). In order to deepen our understanding of arts-based marketing strategies, we addressed a research question related to how artwork-provoked consumers' emotional response can impact the perceived evaluation of art infused products. Research design, data, and methodology - To answer the research question, we conducted a pretest and one experimental study. The experimental study was 2(art-provoked response type: A-emotion vs. R-emotion) by 2(emotional valence: positive vs. negative) by 2(produce type: hedonic vs. utilitarian) mixed design. The art-provoked response type and emotional valence were between-subject design and product type was within subject design. For the experimental study, 108 undergraduate students and graduate students were randomly assigned to one of 4 conditions (A-emotion-positive, A-emotion-negative, R-emotion-positive, R-emotion-negative). Participants reported their evaluation of art-infused product and other items for a manipulation check. Results - The major results from the experimental study are as follow. First, participant's art-provoked response type influenced evaluation of art infused products differently. More specifically, the effect of emotional valence of artwork on product evaluation was not significant in A-emotion. However, in R-emotion, relative to the product with artwork provoked negative emotional valence, the product with artwork provoked positive emotional valence elicited significantly higher product evaluation. Second, product type also affected the art infusion effect significantly. Particularly, the differential effect of participant's art-provoked response type on product evaluation revealed when it is for a utilitarian product, but not for a hedonic product. Conclusions - Theoretically, the findings of this study expand academic research on art infusion. And the findings also can be extrapolated to generate lots of implication for marketers. In sum, when they plan art marketing strategies to build the favorable relationship with their customers, they need to consider customers' response type of an infused art and product type.

조선시대 아동용 교재들 속에 나타난 정서지능 (Emotional Intelligence in Children's Textbooks of the Chosun Dynasty)

  • Seven textbooks for children used in homes and schools (sudangs) of the Chosun dynasty were examined to investigate how they taught emotional intelligence in traditional Korean society. The contents of the books were analyzed according to the 4 abilities of emotional intelligence described by Salovey and Mayer (1966): (1) perception, appraisal, and expression of emotion, (2) emotion's facilitation of thinking, (3) understanding and analyzing emotions, and (4) regulation of emotion to promote emotional and intellectual growth. The analysis showed that most of the books valued emotional intelligence and taught children how they perceive, appraise, and express emotions. The emotional ability to facilitate thinking was also emphasized, whereas the ability to understand and analyze emotions was seldom mentioned. It was also found that the regulation of emotion was emphasized; that is, children were educated to control and depress their emotions rather than to express them naturally.
