The linear programming model is a special form of useful knowledge that is embedded in a database. Since formulating models from scratch requires knowledge-intensive efforts, knowledge-based formulation support systems have been proposed in the Decision Support Systems area. However, they rely on the assumption that sufficient domain knowledge should already be captured as a specific knowledge representation form. Hence, the purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology that finds useful knowledge on building linear programming models from a database. The methodology consists of two parts. The first part is to find s first-cut model based on a data dictionary. To do so, we applied the General Problem Solver(GPS) algorithm. The second part is to discover a second-cut model by applying neural network technique. An illustrative example is described to show the feasibility of the proposed methodology.

In this paper, Elevator is designed for real time security & management. Security & Management System is designed for wireless communication between an Elevator and an manager, between Elevation and an manager. Also, to have remote control capability, embedded system platform with TCP/IP techniques are applied to process control system with independent open structure for the precise data transmission and without constraint of operating system. Security and Management system is designed to solve problem of network port by Bluetooth module. Moved recording, unworked table, life of device and replacement time of device are made database, database is applied to Fuzzy Rule for pre-detection unworked Elevator. Security & Management system is designed safety and convenience for customers using Elevator as well as rapidly treatment with unworked Elevator.

The conventional hard disk has been the dominant database storage system for over 25 years. Recently, hybrid systems which incorporate the advantages of flash memory into the conventional hard disks are considered to be the next dominant storage systems to support databases for desktops and server computers. Their features are satisfying the requirements like enhanced data I/O, energy consumption and reduced boot time, and they are sufficient to hybrid storage systems as major database storages. However, we need to improve traditional index node management schemes based on B-Tree due to the relatively slow characteristics of hard disk operations, as compared to flash memory. In order to achieve this goal, we propose a new index node management scheme called FNC-Tree. FNC-Tree-based index node management enhanced search and update performance by caching data objects in unused free area of flash leaf nodes to reduce slow hard disk I/Os in index access processes.

전자지불 임베디드 시스템의 DB는 목적 및 기능에 따라 다양하며 비용을 최소화 하기 위해 CPU, Memory, Storage 등이 범용 PC와 비교하여 낮은 성능을 가진다. 이와 같은 특징으로 인해 범용 database을 임베디드 환경에서 사용하는 경우, 요구 성능을 만족하지 못할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 자체 구현한 전자지불 임베디드 환경에서 전자카드 리스트 관리 데이터 베이스 엔진(이하 DBX)와 임베디드 DB 중 Berkeley DB, SQLite와 함께 성능을 측정하고 해당 결과를 분석하였다.

This study is to develope the quantitative risk assessment program for consequence analysis of fire and explosion (PML-Chem), which is applicable to the chemical plants. The advantages of PML-Chem is easy to use and acquire results. Especially, PML-Chem was embedded real weather condition database for major chemical plants in ${\bigcirc}{\bigcirc}$ complex in country. Also, reliability of PML-Chem was verified through comparing PML-Chem with PHAST-Professional which is already commercial.

요즘 의사결정지원체제에서 모형화지원에 관한 연구가 활발해지고 있다.모형화지원에 있어서 데이타베이스는 모형화를 위한 기본자료의 저장소의 역할만을 할 뿐 아니라 모형화를 위한 지식이 내재되어있다. 특히 지식베이스가 구축되지 못한 환경에서 모형화를 할 때에는 데이타베이스에 있는 지식을 활용하는 것이 유용하다. 따라서 이 논문에서는 데이타베이스의 내재된 지식으로부터 수리모형을 유도해내는 과정을 객체지향적 데이타베이스를 예로 하여 보이고자 한다. 이의 해결을 위해 General Intelligence와 Fit이론을 사용하였다.

모바일 디바이스들의 사용 보편화와 대용량화로 인해 모바일 환경에 적합한 데이터베이스 엔진들이 최근 다양한 목적으로 모바일 기기에 많이 도입되고 있다. 이 엔진들은 대부분 오픈소스 프로그램들이며 범용 데이터베이스에 비해 가볍고 속도가 빠른 장점을 지녀 향후 발전 가능성이 커보인다. 이 논문에서는 안드로이드 등의 모바일 환경에서 대표적으로 활용되고 있는 SQLite 데이터베이스와 Realm 데이터베이스를 선정하여 검색 성능 및 특성을 파악하고 비교하기 위한 성능 실험을 설계한다.

문서를 표현하는 여러 가지 기법 중에서 XML(eXtensible Markup Language)은 확장성과 범용성 때문에 데이타의 교환과 표현에 대한 표준으로 자리잡고 있다. 이에 XML로 데이타를 저장하기 위한 다양한 방법들이 제시되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 관계형 데이타베이스에 XML 데이타를 저장하기 위해 XML 데이터의 타입을 관계형 데이타베이스의 타입으로 매칭해 주는 서브시스템인 타입 처리기를 구현한다. 타입 처리기에서는 eXDM이 내장형 시스템이라는 제한사항을 고려하고, XQuery 형태의 질의문을 지원하기 위해 XML-스키마를 변형한 형태의 XML 타입 정의 문서를 이용한다.

관계형 데이타베이스에 저장되어 있는 데이타를 XML 문서로 추출하기 위해서는 데이블에 저장된 데이타를 XML 문서 형식에 맞는 계층적인 관계를 가지도록 구조화하는 과정이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 관계형 데이타베이스를 사용하는 XML 저장 및 검색 시스템인 eXDM(embedded XML Database Management System)의 내부에서 구현한 XML 문서 추출 서브시스템에 대하여 기술한다. 이 시스템은 XML 문서에 대한 질의(XQuery)의 RETURN 절과 SORTBY 절을 분석하여, 관계형 데이타베이스에 저장되어 있는 데이타를 구조화하여 계층적인 구조를 가지는 XML 문서 형태로 추출한다.

최근 개인 정보 관리, 인터넷 접속, 멀티미디어 교육, 게임 등 고급 응용들이 가능한 고성능의 PDA가 일반화되면서, PDA에서도 많은 양의 데이터를 직접 관리하면서 서버와 데이터를 상호교환할 수 있는 내장형 DBMS의 요구가 많아지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가격 및 안정성이 뛰어난 Linux 운영체제에서 메모리 용량을 최소화하면서 과일시스템에 가까운 버클리 DB를 기반으로 한 PDA용 내장형 데이터베이스 관리 시스템을 설계 및 구현하였다.
