  • Non-contacting capacitive sensor based on Thompson-Lampard theorem have been fabricated and characterized for measuring of 때 order displacements. To overcome disadvantages of the existed capacitive sensors of parallel plate type with 2-electrodes and 3-electrodes, the developed new sensor was designed to have 4-electrodes with a constant gap of 0.2mm between the electrodes. Two of the electrodes were used as a high potential electrode and a low one, the other two electrodes were used as guard electrodes. These electrodes were made from copper using RF sputtering system on a sapphire plate with diameter 17 mm and thickness 0.7 mm. This sensor can be used for measuring the distance not only between the sensor and metallic target connected to ground potential but also non-metallic target without ground connection.

위전도 측정을 위한 전극간 부착거리에 관한 연구 (Influences of Inter-electrode Distance on Electrogastrography Measurements)

  • Cutaneous electrogastrography is the measurement of electrical activity of the stomach on the abdominal surface. The validity of cutaneous electrogastrography is dependent upon the quality of the recording technique. The locations of electrodes are an important issue. We examined the influences of the inter-electrode distance of bipolar leads on electrogastrography measurements. The sensitivity distributions of EGG leads were calculated based on a 2D body fat model and evaluated according to the region of interest sensitivity ratio (ROISR). We simulated the ROISR of the inter-electrode distance in relation to various body fat thicknesses. The distance between the electrodes was proportional to the distance between the ROI and the surface of the abdomen. The results imply that inter-electrode distance can be applied in electrogastrography according to human body fat thickness.

플라스마 디스플레이 패널에서 ITO/black interlayer/Bus 전극 간의 전기저항 평가 (Evaluation of the Electrical Resistance between ITO/black interlayer/Bus electrodes in a Plasma Display Panel)

  • Black interlayer was introduced into between ITO and Bus electrodes to enhance a bright room contrast ratio of a plasma display panel. To measure the electrical resistance of the black interlayer, we designed two test patterns, type I and type II, of which type II pattern was successful. Using type II test pattern, the electrical resistance of the black interlayer was measured to be $300{\Omega}$ for $2{\mu}m$ thickness case and infinitely high for 4, $6{\mu}m$ thickness. This result shows that electrical resistance of the black interlayer in the ITO/black interlayer/Bus electrodes structure is a critical parameter which determines the electrical characteristics of the PDP.

  • 8 MHz 고주파 유전형 가열장치로 모형을 가열할 때에 전극의 크기와 모형의 두께에 따른 온도 분포를 알아보기 위하여 다양한 크기의 전극과 다양한 두께의 모형을 조합하여 실험하였다. 전극은 10, 15, 20, 25, 그리고 30 cm 크기를 사용하였고 모형은 10, 15, 20, 25, 그리고 30 cm 두께를 사용하였다. 모형의 두께가 25 cm 이상일 경우에는 전극의 크기가 모형의 두께보다 크거나 혹은 같을때에 중심부에 균일한 온도 분포를 얻을 수 있었으나, 모형의 두께가 20 cm 이하일 경우에는 전극의 크기가 모형의 두께와 같을 때는 균일한 온도 분포를 얻을 수 없었고 전극의 크기가 모형의 두께보다 클 때만 균일한 온도 분포를 얻을 수 있었다. 크기가 다른 한쌍의 전극을 사용하여 가열시에는 작은 전극 쪽으로 가열 부분이 집중되었고 그 현상은 전극크기의 차가 클 수록 심하였다.

This sensor can be used for measuring the distance between sensor and target not only the metallic but also non-metallic target without ground connection.

  • Photovoltaic effects in $CuPc/C_{60}$ heterojunction structure have been studied depending on thickness of exciton blocking layer(BCP) and electrodes. Bare ITO and polymer coated electrode(PEDOT:PSS) were used as an anode, and Al, Ca/Al, Mg/Al, LiF/Al, and LiAl were used as a cathode. Photovoltaic parameters depending on BCP layer thickness from 0 to 60 nm and electrodes having different work function were measured using Keithley 236 source-measure unit and a 500W xenon lamp (ORIEL 66021). We have seen that the BCP layer thickness severely affects on the performance of photovoltaic cells.

Study on Charge Transport in Nanoscale Organic Monolayers for Molecular Electronics Using Liquid Phase Electrodes

  • Incorporation of solid electrodes frequently involves plasma-based processing. The effect of plasma can influence the physical characteristics, depending on the magnitude in plasma. The undesired feature of plasma-induced damage should be prevented in characterizing the ultra-thin materials, such as ultra-thin films and organic monolayers. The current work at first proves the applicability of a liquid phase electrode in the electrical/dielectric properties through comparative work using Al and Hg on ultrathin $Al_2O_3$ films deposited through atomic layer deposition at low temperature: Two types of metals such as Aluminum (Al) and mercury (Hg) were used as electrodes in $Al_2O_3$ thin films in order to investigate the effect of electrode preparation on the current-voltage characteristics and impedance features as a function of thickness in $Al_2O_3$ film thickness. The success of Hg in $Al_2O_3$ thin films is applied to the AC and DC characterization of the organic monolayers obtained using the Langmuir-Blodgett method. From the DC current-voltage characteristics, the diode-like response is found to originate from the bulk response of the organic materials, evidenced by the fact and the capacitance is inversely related to the absolute thickness of organic layers.

  • Dielectric breakdown strength of LDPE films was investigated using metal electrodes and semiconductive electrodes respectively. In both of two cases, the results show that there are characteristics of dependence on thickness and dependence on temperature. However, there are some differences in both cases.

전기저항가열 압출점접합공정에 있어서 접합강도에 관한 연구 (A Study of the Weld Strength of Extru-Rivet Spot Welding Using Electrodes Heated by Electric Resistance)

  • In this study, the weld strength of extru-rivet spot welding was investigated by simulation and experiment. In order to obtain hot plasticity flow bonding of the two plates by a single rivet, electrodes are used for heating of the two plates and the rivet by electric resistance. Because weld strength is influenced by the temperature in the weld zone, the diameter of the electrodes and the amount of current supplied to the electrodes are important variables. For the simulation, heat distribution and weld strength were calculated using DEFORM-3D. The weld strength in the weld zone was calculated for various values of the experimental parameters. The simulation results showed that the weld strength was the highest when the weld current was 37kA, the electrode diameter was 12mm, and the welding frequency was 90cycle. Aluminum 5052 was used for the experimental study. A total of three aluminum plates, two welding plates with 1mm thickness and one plate with 2mm thickness for the inserting rivet, were used for the experimental extru-rivet spot welding.

  • 본 논문은 친환경 절연재료인 Dry-Air 중 에폭시 수지의 연면절연특성을 구명하여 Dry-Air를 절연매체로 사용한 각종 절연설계 시에 응용 가능한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 사용한 전극은 침 대 평판, 구 대 평판, KS M3015 전극으로써, 동일한 조건 하에서 전극의 종류에 따른 연면 절연 파괴 전압, 연면 거리, 연면방전 전계강도를 비교하였다. 연면전계강도는 침 대 평판 전극 하에서 가장 높게 나타났다. 또한 에폭시 수지의 두께와 지름을 변화시켰을 때의 연면 절연 특성은 에폭시 수지의 두께가 두꺼울수록, 지름이 길수록 연면 절연 파괴 전압이 높게 나타남을 확인하였다.
