전해부상 장치를 이용한 축산폐수의 유기질비료와 용수 재활용에 관한 연구 (A Study on Inorganic Chemical Treatment Method of Animal Wastes Using by Electroflotation for Recycle)

  • 축산 폐수처리를 위해 전기화학적 방법의 사용에 있어 관심이 고조되고 있다. 전기화학적 방법의 기술은 축산폐수 및 공업적 폐수 문제를 해결하는데 이상적 처리 방법이다. 다른 화학적 처리 방법과는 다르게 전기화학적계는 2차 폐수의 부피를 증가시키지 않고 용수와 유기질 비료로 활용한다. 전기화학적 방법은 전해부상장치를 무기화학적 약품과 병행하여 더욱 효과적으로 축산폐수를 처리한다. 이 연구는 2차 처리로 초음파와 오존처리로 탈색, COD와 BOD가 격감함으로 용수 및 유기질 비료로 활용하도록 실험하였다.

  • To improve dimension accuracy and make very small parts are one of the major purpose on the electrochemical micromachining. This paper introduce a small machine tool by using the point electrode. That has a data acquisition system for gathering applied electric condition between the gap. Point electrode on this system was made by this method as well. It was found that variable phenomena occurred through the acquired V-I curve on the process.

  • In last paper, it was suggested electrochemical polishing method using the point electrode tools. It was aimed that Machining rate in ECM using the point electrode method should be ultimately small and also high dimension accuracy and surface integrity should be fine. In this paper, the machining characteristics were investigated by using the several types of electrolyte.

  • In this study, micro electrochemical machining method was introduced for accomplishment the fabrication technology of functional parts and smart structures using the Ni-Ti shape memory alloy. From the experimental result, the micro part which has very fine surface could be achieved by use of micro electrochemical process with point electrode method. Concretely, the optimal performance of micro electrochemical process in Ni-Ti SMA was obtained at the condition of approximately 100% of current efficiency and high frequency pulse current. That is, much finer surface integrity and shape memory effect can be obtained at the same condition mentioned above.

Conversion of a Constant Phase Element to an Equivalent Capacitor

  • Here I present a formula which converts a constant phase element (CPE) to its equivalent capacitor. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is capable of resolving a complex electrochemical processes into its faradaic and non-faradaic elements, and the non-faradaic process is frequently described as a CPE in place of a capacitor due to the non-ideality. Being described as a capacitor, the non-faradaic element provides information by its capacitance, but a CPE cannot provide a physical meaning. In order to solve the problem, the CPE has been dealt with as an equivalent capacitor of which the capacitance provides practical information. Succeeding the two methods previously suggested, a new conversion method is suggested in this report. While the previous ones manipulate only the CPE, the new method takes both the CPE and its related resistor into account for conversion. By comparing the results obtained by the three methods, we learn that the results are nearly the same within tolerable ranges, and conclude that any of the method choices is acceptable depending on the conditions of the system of interest.

  • This paper describes an electrochemical immunoassay for simple, fast and quantitative detection of a urinary hippuric acid which is one of major biological indicator in toluene-exposed humans. The electrochemical system of immunoassay was based on the directly osmium complex conjugated with hippuric acid. With the competition between free hippuric acid (HA) and the osmium-hippuric acid conjugate (Os-HA) to bind with antibody hippuric acid (Anti-HA) coated onto gold nanoparticles, the electrical signals were proportional to urinary hippuric acid (HA) in the range of 0.01-5 mg/mL which is enough range to be used for in-field or point-of-care (POC) diagnosis. The proposed electrochemical method can be extended to the applications to detect a wide range of different small molecules in the field of health care.

Effects of electrochemical oxidation of carbon fibers on interfacial shear strength using a micro-bond method

  • In this work, we studied the effects of electrochemical oxidation treatments of carbon fibers (CFs) on interfacial adhesion between CF and epoxy resin with various current densities. The surface morphologies and properties of the CFs before and after electrochemical-oxidation-treatment were characterized using field emission scanning electron microscopy, atomic force microscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and single-fiber contact angle. The mechanical interfacial shear strength of the CFs/epoxy matrix composites was investigated by using a micro-bond method. From the results, electrochemical oxidation treatment introduced oxygen functional groups and increased roughness on the fiber surface. The mechanical interfacial adhesion strength also showed higher values than that of an untreated CF-reinforced composite.

  • Nowadays, 60 percent of thermal power plants already have been operated over their own design life. These operations of old power plant over their design life have caused a fracture accident of degradation a loss of economic and human. Therefore, the new life assessment and prediction technology is necessary to improve the safety and reliability of high pressure and high temperature power plant facilities. In this paper, innovative electrochemical test method have been used and results have been compared to the conventional test. Finally, the electrochemical test is applied to the in-field HP turbine and a database is currently in progress for the development of the life assessment standard and procedure.
