  • Local Interconnect Network (LIN) is a low-speed in-vehicle network bus, and it is widely used in body applications such as windows, doors, HVAC, and lighting. This review explains protocols and message frames of LIN bus in detail. LIN bus basically transmits ID and payloads in data frame. How to interpret ID and payloads is defined in LIN Description file (LDF). Each LIN bus has unique LDF and its corresponding unique configuration. This review also explains syntax and example of LDF in detail.

  • As the electric vehicle market has grown rapidly, the battery market has grown exponentially. Due to the gap between the generation speed of quality control technology and battery mass production speed for batteries mounted on electric vehicles, many durability problems have arisen for batteries. Most accidents are caused by electrical factors, but there is no technology to quickly inspect them. In this paper, we are going to propose a quick analysis of battery cell defects using the GAN model.

  • 유연한 이동성, 쉬운 배치, 저렴한 비용 등의 장점을 가진 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle(UAV)를 이용해 Deep Neural Network(DNN) 서비스를 제공하는 기술이 연구되고 있다. 하지만 UAV 는 메모리와 컴퓨팅 능력, 배터리가 제한되어 있어 DNN 서비스의 요구사항을 만족시키기 위해서는 다수의 UAV간의 협업이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 다수의 UAV 협업 환경에서 DNN 서비스의 처리 지연시간을 줄이기 위해 UAV 들의 작업량을 고려한 서비스 분산 처리 기법을 제안하고, 시뮬레이션을 통해 DNN 서비스 처리 지연 시간을 분석한다.

  • 차량 인터넷은 목적지까지 스스로 주행하는 자율 주행 자동차의 최적 경로 설정을 도와주는 차세대 네트워크이다. 자율 주행 자동차의 원활한 자율 주행을 위해서는 도로 위 객체 인지뿐만 아니라 실시간 교통 정보가 수신되어야 한다. 공격자는 자동차로 전달되는 메시지를 탈취하여 내용을 변경하거나 메시지를 제거하는 중간자 공격을 시도할 수 있다. 중간자 공격을 탐지하기 위해 MARINE 기법이 제안되었지만, 주행하는 자동차가 적은 환경에서 중간자 공격을 탐지하기 어렵다. 제안 방법은 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 교통 정보 센터에 축적된 교통 정보를 이용하여 자동차에 전달되는 메시지를 분석하고 중간자 공격을 탐지하는 방법을 제안한다.

Nonlinear resonance of porous functionally graded nanoshells with geometrical imperfection

  • Employing the non-local strain gradient theory (NSGT), this paper investigates the nonlinear resonance characteristics of functionally graded material (FGM) nanoshells with initial geometric imperfection for the first time. The effective material properties of the porous FGM nanoshells with even distribution of porosities are estimated by a modified power-law model. With the guidance of Love's thin shell theory and considering initial geometric imperfection, the strain equations of the shells are obtained. In order to characterize the small-scale effect of the nanoshells, the nonlocal parameter and strain gradient parameter are introduced. Subsequently, the Euler-Lagrange principle was used to derive the motion equations. Considering three boundary conditions, the Galerkin principle combined with the modified Lindstedt Poincare (MLP) method are employed to discretize and solve the motion equations. Finally, the effects of initial geometric imperfection, functional gradient index, strain gradient parameters, non-local parameters and porosity volume fraction on the nonlinear resonance of the porous FGM nanoshells are examined.

  • Due to the recent emphasis on carbon neutrality and environmental regulations, the global electric vehicle (EV) market is experiencing rapid growth. This surge has raised concerns about the recycling and disposal methods for EV batteries. Unlike traditional internal combustion engine vehicles, EVs require unique and safe methods for the recovery and disposal of their batteries. In this process, predicting the lifespan of the battery is essential. Impedance and State of Charge (SOC) analysis are commonly used methods for this purpose. However, predicting the lifespan of batteries with complex chemical characteristics through electrical measurements presents significant challenges. To enhance the accuracy and precision of existing measurement methods, this paper proposes using a Long Short-Term Memory (LSTM) model, a type of deep learning-based recurrent neural network, to diagnose battery performance. The goal is to achieve safe classification through this model. The designed structure was evaluated, yielding results with a Mean Absolute Error (MAE) of 0.8451, a Root Mean Square Error (RMSE) of 1.3448, and an accuracy of 0.984, demonstrating excellent performance.

  • In recent years, the particle number emissions rather than particulate mass emissions in automotive engine have become the subject of controversial discussions. Recent results from the health effects studies imply that it is possible that particulate mass does not properly correlated with the variety of health effects attributed to diesel exhaust. So, the concern is instead now focusing on nano-sized particles emitted from I. C. engine. This study has been performed for the better understanding about the engine nano-particle for 3-measurement systems with different measuring principle. Firstly, EEPS is a newly introduced instrument for size distribution measurement of engine exhaust particles. It can measure nano-particles with an adequate resolution and in real time. In this study, the characteristics of EEPS were compared with ELPI and SMPS. As a research results, EEPS showed a same effect of engine load on the size distribution with ELPI and SMPS. But the quantitative results of EEPS were more similar to SMPS than ELPI, because the EEPS and SMPS use a same principle for classifying particles by size. The capability for transient measurement of EEPS was equivalent to that of ELPI.

  • 지능형교통시스템 (Intelligent Transportation System: ITS) 은 도로 및 교통관리, 교통정보제공, 대중교통 및 화물차량의 운영 등 교통의 전 분야에 걸쳐 정보통신 기술, 센서 및 제어 기술을 접목함으로써 교통의 효율화와 물류비용의 절감을 목표로 하고 있다. 특히, 최근에는 전자 및 통신 기술 등 첨단기술을 활용하여 현행 교통체계를 첨단화하기 위한 노력이 빠르게 진행되고 있으며, ITS는 최근 위치정보의 폭넓은 보급과 유 무선통신기술의 발전에 따라 위치정보서비스, 텔레매틱스 서비스 등과의 결합을 통해 새로운 비즈니스 모델들을 탄생시키고 있다. 또한 기존에 중점적으로 추진되어 왔던 도로 및 차량 영역뿐만 아니라 ITS 아키텍처를 구성하는 다양한 하위 시스템들간의 통신 및 정보체계 표준화와 관계된 기술, 시스템, 서비스 등의 시장이 형성되기 시작하고 있다. 이중에서도 최근에는 이동통신기술의 발전과 복합단말의 발전을 통해 통합된 기능을 갖는 이동전화, PDA, 스마트단말 등의 개인단말 뿐만 아니라 도로와 차량내의 통신을 위한 차량탑재형 단말 등의 보급으로 단거리 무선통신기술과 스마트차드 기술을 이용한 자동요금징수시스템, 위치정보기술을 이용한 위치기반서비스, GPS를 이용하여 실시간 교통정보 서비스가 가능한 텔레매틱스 서비스 등은 본격적으로 시장을 형성해 나가고 있다. 이는 기존의 ITS 분야가 ETCS(Electric Toll Collection System), AVHS(Advanced Vehicle & Highway System), CVO(Commercial Vehicle Operation)등 교통 인프라에 초점을 맞추고 있었으나 그동안의 수익모델 부재 등으로 인해 사업자들의 적극적인 투자가 이루어지지 않아 ITS 시장 활성화에 어려움이 있어 왔다는 점을 고려해 볼 때 최근 위치정보를 이용한 사용자 서비스를 통해 민간 기업의 투자 참여와 일반 사용자들의 ITS 에 대한 관심이 매우 높아지고 있다는 점은 ITS 시장의 확대에 있어 매우 긍정적인 요인될 것으로 예상되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 ITS의 세계적인 개발 및 투자 추세, 국내의 추진 동향을 통해 살펴보고 이에 따른 국내 적용에 대한 시사점을 살펴보았다.

  • An Independent Administrative Corporation Japan Agency for Marine-Earth Science and Technology (JAMSTEC) is developing light-and-small Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV)$^{1)}$, named 'MR-X1' (Marine Robot Experimental 1), which can cruise, investigate and observe by itself without human's help. In this paper, we consider the motion control problem of 'MR-X1' and derive a controller. Since the dynamic property of 'MR-X1' is changed by the influence of the speed, the mathematical model of 'MR-X1' becomes the nonlinear model. In order to design a controller for 'MR-X1', we generally apply nonlinear control theories or linear control theories with some constant speed situation. If we design a controller by applying Linear Quadratic (LQ) optimal control theory, the obtained controller only compensates t e optimality at the designed speed situation, and does not compensate the stability at another speed situations. This paper proposes a controller design method using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs)$^{2),3),4)}$, which can adapt the speed variation of 'MR-X1'. And examples of numerical analysis using our designed controller are shown.

  • Telematics and LBS is one of rapidly emerged technology domains. In order to efficiently construct them, moving object technology which manages huge volume of real-time location data is required. Especially, the query which obtains special sorts of information closely related to the detailed applications is required in order to effectively retrieve and analyze the location data for moving object in logistics domain. It has also complex query structure comparing to the conventional database query. The approach using the standard database query language, like SQL, can be considered as an effective alternative choice. In this paper, we not only propose a new query language, entitled as MOQL based on SQL, for the query processing of the vehicle monitoring and control in e-Logistics but also design and implement the query processor.
