The Study on the Dry and Wet Flashover Voltages of the Artificially Salt Contaminated Distribution Facilities (인공오손에 따른 배전기자재의 건조 및 습윤 섬락에 관한 연구)

  • The dry and wet flashover characteristics on the contaminated distribution facilities was investigated. The test were carried out on the suspension insulator, line post insulator, lightning arrester, cut off switch, etc. In the dry state, the flashover voltages of facilities contaminated with B, C, D classes are similar to the non-contaminated ones. However, in the wet state, the flashover voltages of facilities contaminated with B, C, D classes are decreased. The flashover voltages of some few facilities show under the standard value. This results indicate that the high humidity may cause the flashover on distribution facilities.

  • The distribution facilities, such as suspension insulator, line post insulator, lightning arrester, COS, used for long periods in the industrial pollution area were investigated. The electrical test and the material analyses were performed on the polluted and non-polluted facilities. The low frequency dry flashover voltage of polluted suspension was decreased about 8% in comparison with non-polluted one. The polluted materials turned out with the iron which came from the foundries. The polluted materials turned out with the iron which came from the foundries. This conductive materials decreased the leakage distance, resulting in reducing of electrical properties.

  • Private electrical facilities are judged whether it is suitable for the insulation aging condition of their incoming underground cables using DC leakage current test method. In the case where the service point of utility is the secondary side of cut out switch installed in the electric pole, there is a problem that it is difficult to separate the lightning arresters(LA) because of their high position of the pole. Therefore, the field test voltage is applied at value lower than DC 30 kV, which are stated in the inspection guideline. However, this test could reduced the insulation performance of the LA by accelerating the electrical stress of the metal oxide varistor element in the pre-breakdown region. In this study, we analyzed the relationship between the DC test voltage and the leakage current using the non-destructive DC high voltage equipment with leakage current measurement function. The results show that the leakage current increases sharply above the specified test voltage. As a consequence, it could be contributed to improve insulation aging inspection method by selecting the possible test area on the VI characteristic curve of the pre-breakdown area of the LA.

  • In the circumstances which a highly reliable operation in electric power facilities of extra high voltage and large capacity is needed, the importance of a preventive diagnostic technology is growing large day and day. The settlement of a preventive diagnostic technology for optimization and efficient management on the electric power facilities like GIS enable the reduce of repair fee, the improvement of safety and the systematic management of electric power facilities. The remaining life prediction of facilities will play a decisive role as a core technology of a preventive diagnostics in the future. And so it is necessary a continuous research and concern for the development of a preventive diagnostic technology hereafter.

  • A roadmap for Electrical Safety Technology has been designed based on the study that has been contributed by the specialists, professors and researchers in electral safety field. The roadmap is divided into five major fields including, for instance, the electrical fire accidents roadmap. The other four roadmaps are for electrical shock accidents, electrical facilities accidents, electrical safety policies and electrical safety culture-education, respectively. Each roadmap has a purpose, a scope, and a technical characteristic. Following the roadmaps can result in significant reduction of electrical fire accidents, electrical shock accident victims and so forth. The result can also be utilized in guiding the planning and development of the future electrical safety technology.

  • As power plant facilities are being deteriorated, their safety is getting more important, and more routine surveillance is being required. For this purpose, this paper presents an indoor localization system for field robot system which performs the surveillance of power plant facilities instead of human workers from the viewpoint of the workers' safety and work efficiency.

  • The standard of living has been getting higher by reason of industrialization and economic growth. It makes people have more cultural desire(wants). Because of reasons mentioned above, a number of entertainment place and performance with high-tech is increased. This has been brought also increasing a number of electrical accident such as electrical shock, electrical fires and accidents of electrical facilities. This paper suggests technical, operational and special precautions of actual electric main line systems in entertainment places and is also written on the purpose of being applied with related provisions to designing electrical facilities, construction, check-up and inspection and maintenance for preventing further electrical disasters in entertainment places.

  • This paper gives the support method of DSM program(power load leveling for heating and cooling facilities on building). As the national power peak load increases recently, the peak load reduction is needed. So we studied about remote controlling of power load from heating/cooling facilities on building during peak times. To adopt new DSM program, it is very important to design DSM customer supporting system. So in this paper, we dealt with the result of customer survey, and the DSM potential regarding heating/cooling facilities on building. In conclusion, the peak reduction program of heating/cooling facilities is very important and the incentive of customer should be consist of two incentive types as an installation and power reduction.

  • Latest development of ICT makes building, including houses, factories and public facilities, more intelligent and automatized. It follows that a wide variety of electric and ICT installations are adopted along with micro electronic equipments. Corresponding to such changes, the frequency of lightning increases due to the abnormal climate. The major damage by lightning surge is disconnection and malfunction of facilities. It is necessary, therefore, to make a regulation of inspection and maintenance for lightning protection facilities.   • This Paper deals with voltage variation and voltage regulation method in power distribution systems including cogeneration facilities. In order to deliver suitable voltages to many customers at the distribution substations. In this paper, an on-line real time modified voltage regulation method is proposed. The result from a case study show that the proposed method can be practical tool for the voltage regulation in distribution systems including cogeneration facilities.
