Control of mobile robot system with wireless transmission of image information.

  • There are various researches on mobile robot systems. Connection method between server and client of mobile robot system is one of them. In the case of mobile robot system, when connection method between server and client is wireless than wire, applications may be expanded. Also in remote monitoring environment using mobile robot system, we are interested in an effective transmission of the image information between server and client. In this paper, Bluetooth is used for connection method between server and client. One of the major applications of Bluetooth is the cable replacement for mobile and peripheral devices. Using Bluetooth, we propose the control method of mobile robot system. Bluetooth offers fast and reliable transmissions of both voice and data over the globally available 2.4GHz ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) band. It has the advantage of small size, low power and low cost. It has the disadvantage of limited range and limited bandwidth. Also in order to transfer effectively image information between remote site(server) and mobile robot system(client) using Bluetooth, we applied to MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 image compression techniques and the results are compared with each other.

5.5kW이하의 소형분쇄기 차단기 접속부의 접촉불량에 의한 전압강하 및 열적 특성 분석 (Analysis of Voltage Drop and Thermal Characteristics for Poor Connections at Electrical Connector of Circuit Breaker of Small Size Pulverizer below 5.5kW)

  • This paper describes the characteristics of voltage drop and thermal for poor connection on electrical connector of circuit breaker in control box of small size pulverizer. In order monitor, we did the changes of RMS in voltage and temperature value with video and made normal state over $2.5N{\cdot}m$ and poor connections state below $0.2N{\cdot}m$ by screw gage. In case of voltage signal, the voltage drop was increased when the current was increased due to poor connections. In case of temperature signal, the temperature difference indicates ten times at 5A and fourteen times at 15A in the normal state. According to increase thermal energy, the insulation of electrical wiring and connector of circuit breaker can be carbonized. The results of this study will be useful to the development of preventive devices and system for electric fire by poor connection at small size pulverizer.

  • The induction motor is used for driving the special equipments such as warship and submarine pump due to robust structure and simple maintenance. Domestic and foreign warships use a wide range of voltages and the DC voltage sources mainly from battery. In the low voltage level, the ${\Delta}$-connection operation of induction motor can be used for the maximum power. However, the temperature of the inverter increases because of the high input current. On the other hand, Y-connection operation of the induction motor does not cause a problem of temperature because of the low input current compared to the ${\Delta}$-connection. But the lack of the supply voltage can not be avoided. Therefore, this paper suggests the algorithm of the optimum field weakening control to extend the operating range of the induction motor with maximum power in a limited thermal and DC voltage condition.

  • A load motor used for warship or submarine is with limited volume and weight, also specific environmental tests like impact, vibration, noise, temperature and EMC/EMI have to be satisfied. Induction motors, synchronous motors, BLDC motor and etc, are used depending on the purpose of using military equipment. Induction Motors are used for a number of military equipment more commonly due to the robust structure and simple maintenance. Domestic and foreign warships have a wide range of voltages as the DC voltage sources with battery are mainly used for them. The ${\Delta}-connection$ operation of the induction motor is required to make the maximum power in a low voltage level. But the elements' temperature of the inverter increases due to high input current when it is in the ${\Delta}-connection$ operation. Therefore, the induction motor must be driven with the Y-connection. The lack of voltage needs to be with the field weakening control. This paper suggests the optimum field weakening control algorithm to drive the induction motor with maximum power in a limited thermal and DC voltage condition.

Current Sharing Method Based on Optimal Phase Shift Control for Interleaved Three-Phase Half Bridge LLC Converter with Floating Y-Connection

  • A current balance problem exists in multi-phase LLC converters due to the resonant parameter tolerance. This paper presents a current balancing method for interleaved three-phase half bridge LLC converters. This method regulates the phase shift angle of the driving signals between the three phases based on a converter with a floating Y-connection. The floating midpoint voltage has different influences on each phase current and makes the three-phase current balance performance better than midpoint non-floating systems. Phase shift control between modules can further regulate the midpoint voltage. Then three phase current sharing is realized without adding extra components. The current distributions in a midpoint non-floating system and a midpoint floating system are compared. Then the principle and implementation of the proposed control strategy are analyzed in detail. A 3kW prototype is built to verify the validity and feasibility of the proposed method.

SDCN: Synchronized Depthwise Separable Convolutional Neural Network for Single Image Super-Resolution

  • Recently, image super-resolution techniques used in convolutional neural networks (CNN) have led to remarkable performance in the research area of digital image processing applications and computer vision tasks. Convolutional layers stacked on top of each other can design a more complex network architecture, but they also use more memory in terms of the number of parameters and introduce the vanishing gradient problem during training. Furthermore, earlier approaches of single image super-resolution used interpolation technique as a pre-processing stage to upscale the low-resolution image into HR image. The design of these approaches is simple, but not effective and insert the newer unwanted pixels (noises) in the reconstructed HR image. In this paper, authors are propose a novel single image super-resolution architecture based on synchronized depthwise separable convolution with Dense Skip Connection Block (DSCB). In addition, unlike existing SR methods that only rely on single path, but our proposed method used the synchronizes path for generating the SISR image. Extensive quantitative and qualitative experiments show that our method (SDCN) achieves promising improvements than other state-of-the-art methods.

  • Back-to Back HVDC 방식을 사용한 비동기 계통연계 기술은 고조파 발생, 높은 비용 및 낮은 확장성의 문제를 가지고 있으며, 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위하여 회전형 변압기를 이용한 비동기 계통 연계 기술에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있다. 그러나 회전형 변압기의 인덕턴스 성분으로 인한 무효전력이 발생되고 별도의 무효전력 보상설비의 추가 설치에 대한 문제가 필연적으로 발생된다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 회전형 변압기를 사용한 비동기 계통 연계 시스템의 필수요소인 정류용 AC-DC 컨버터를 유효전력 공급뿐만 아니라 무효전력을 보상할 수 있도록 설계함으로서 기존의 회전형 변압기의 무효전력 보상 문제를 해결하고자 하며, 제안된 방식은 시뮬레이션을 통해 성능을 검증하였다.

  • 해상풍력 발전단지의 전력망 연계방식에 따라 설치비용이나 고장전류의 크기가 달라진다. 그렇기 때문에 단지의 용량과 위치 등을 고려한 효율적인 전력망 연계 방법이 필요하다. 특히 해상풍력 발전단지의 전력케이블은 대부분 비용 및 효율적인 부분을 고려하여 3-core를 사용한다. 케이블 단락 같은 고장이 발생하면 케이블 전체를 교체해야 하므로 수리비용 및 터빈 정지 기간을 고려하였을 때 비용적인 측면에서 상당한 손실이 발생할 수 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 제주해상에 설치될 100 MW 풍력단지에 방사형, 링형, 성형 방식을 도입하여 이에 따른 3상 단락고장을 PSCAD/EMTDC 프로그램을 활용하여 컴퓨터 해석을 수행하고, 그 결과를 분석하여 모델 단지에 알맞은 전력망 연계방식을 제안하고자 한다.

Set-Point Control of Elastic Joint Robots Using only Position Measurements

  • Motivated by the dynamic output feedback passification results, point-to-point control laws for an elastic joint robot are presented when only the position measurements are available. The proposed method makes a parallel connection of the robot system and an input-dimensional linear system which obtains the effect of the desired differentiators. It is shown that the closed-loop nonlinear robot system can be rendered output strictly passive and the regulation of the system is achieved in the end. Robustness analysis is also given with regard to uncertainties on the robot parameters. Performance of the proposed control law is illustrated in the simulation studies of a manipulator with three revolute elastic joints.

가요성 알루미늄피 케이블을 이용한 인플렉스 시스템의 개발 (Development of In-Flex System using the Flexibility Aluminum Clad Cable)

  • The developed in-flex system completed the wiring work with the plug-in connection. To maintain electrical and mechanical stability, and an insulation between the conductors was strengthened by forming a partition. Moreover, the error according to a bad connection was prevented by separating the inlet from the outlet of the electric trace and thus the quick construction become possible. The metal reinforcing material was added outside the upper case and lower case. The fire-resistance efficiency was maximized in order to minimize a damage by the fire. As to the developed system, we found that it takes shorter time to complete installation than the rigid steel conduit wiring work, and that about 25 % of construction cost was saved because the labor costs decrease due to the shorter construction period of time.
