2단 평행판 전기집진기의 방전부 특성 실험 (Experimental Study on the Discharge Electrode of A Two-Stage Electrostatic Air Cleaner)

  • The two-stage electrostatic air cleaner is a particle control device that uses electrical forces to move particles in the flowing gas stream onto collector plates. Despite a general understanding of electrostatic air cleaner operation and their successful use in industry, many questions regarding flow, electric fields and particle collection have remained unanswered. In this paper, an experimental investigation for designing the discharge electrode, including ionizer wire diameter, plate length and wire-to-plate spacing, is carried out. The electrical conditions, namely the electric field intensity, the space current and the particle charge intensity, in wire-plate electrostatic air cleaner are reported and examined.

2단계 신경망 추정에 의한 와이어 컷 방전 가공 조건 선정 (Selection of Machining Parameters of Electric Discharge Wire Cut Using 2-Step Neuro-estimation)

  • We proposed a 2-step neural network approach for estimating machining parameters of electric discharge wire cut. The first step net, which is described as a backward neuro-estimation, is designed for estimating coarse cutting parameters while the second phase net, as a polishing forward neuro-estimation, is utilized for determining fine parameters. Sequential estimation procedure, based on backward and forward net, is performed using the net's approximation capability which is M to 1 and 1 to M mapping property. Experimental results an given to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed 2-step neuro-estimation.

Mode Matching Technique in a Cylindrical Cavity with Center Wire

  • The eigen value problem of a coaxial cavity and a modified pill box cavity is investigated using the mode matching technique. The coaxial cavity has a cylindrical cavity with beam ports and center conductor. The pill box cavity is the same as a coaxial cavity without center conductor. The electric field and magnetic field are formulated in propagation region and resonance region. The boundary and orthogonal conditions are applied to the electric and magnetic fields. We derived the eigen value equation by the proposed procedure in a coaxial cavity and a modified pill box cavity. The electromagnetic field of the real structure is disturbed by the coaxial wire. The effect of the coaxial wire in pill box cavity with beam ports increase the dominant resonant frequency. The coaxial line method of the coupling impedance is not adequate for a cylindrical cavity. The results of the mode matching technique and simulation agree well. The results confirm the proposed formulation is valid.

  • Because the overhead transmission lines are exposed to the outdoor weather, the faults of the transmission lines are due to natural conditions, and among these faults, the outage rate by lightning is about $50\%$. Therefore, the insulation design is important to decrease the damage of the facility and to increase the reliability of electric power system. This paper describes the protective method of substation equipments using the Underbuilt Ground Wire and the Guy Wire. This would not only reduce backflashover possibility but also minimize crest and duration of surges entering the substation. EMTP is used to analyze the efficiency of the proposed methods.

  • In this paper, we present an accurate and stable method for the solution of the transient electromagnetic response from the conducting wire structures using the time domain integral equation. By using an implicit scheme with the central finite difference approximation for the time domain electric field integral equation, we obtain the transient response from a wire scatterer illuminated by a plane wave and a conducting wire antenna with an impressed voltage source. Also, we consider a wire above a 3-dimensional conducting object. Numerical results are presented, which show the validity of the presented methodology, and compared with a conventional method using backward finite difference approximation.

액중 전기선폭발법으로 제조된 구리 나노콜로이드의 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Cu nano-colloid prepared by electrical wire explosion in liquid phase)

  • Cu nano-colloid was prepared by wire electric explosion process under de-mineralized water and anhydrous ethanol. To control the properties of Cu nano-colloid, experimental conditions such as diameter of Cu wire and applied voltage were changed. The optimal Cu nano-colloid was prepared when the 0.1mm diameter of Cu wire with the applied voltage of 2000 V was used. The shape of Cu particles in colloid was spherical and the XRD result revealed that the phase of Cu particles was cubic phase. About 20nm Cu nanoparticles with high crystallinity were successfully prepared using wire explosion process under anhydrous ethanol and they showed more than 100 hours dispersion stability.

15kV급 EPR 난연 케이블의 부분방전신호 감쇄현상 연구 (A Study on the Partial Discharge Pulse Attenuation of the EPR Retardant 15kV Cable)

  • 실선로 전력 케이블의 부분방전 측정은 주위 전력설비의 신호들이 혼합되면 정확한 부분방전 진단이 어려운 면이 있다. 본 논문에서는 15kV급 EPR 난연 케이블을 대상으로 거리에 따른 부분방전 신호를 검출 및 감쇄 정도 확인 시험을 통하여 발생 위치 추정 기준을 마련하고자 한다. 이를 위해 길이 500m의 EPR 난연 케이블을 제작하여 모의 선로를 구성하였고, IEC60270에 적합한 Calibrator를 이용하여 신호를 인가한 후 HFCT 센서를 사용하여 일정한 거리를 두고 방전 신호를 검출하고, Techimp사(社)의 PDBASE와 OMICRON사(社)의 MPD600을 이용하여 부분방전 신호를 분류하였다. 전압 인가 지점에서 단계적인 거리증가에 따른 부분방전 신호 감쇄 현상 및 일정 길이(300[m])에 대한 주입 신호별 감도 측정을 분석하였다. 본 논문의 시험대상인 15kV급 EPR 난연 케이블은 원자력 발전소의 배전선으로 사용하기 위해 제작된 것으로, 포설 후 절연체 내에 B/D가 발생했다고 가정했을 때, PD신호의 검출 및 대략적인 위치의 추정은 안전을 최우선시 하는 원자력 발전 및 배전 부문에서 주요한 문제로 부각 될 것이다.

  • [ ${\beta}-W(W_3O)$ ] oxide layer on the surface of each W(tungsten) nanopowder produced by the electric explosion of wire(EEW) process were formed during the 1vol.% air passivation process. The oxide layer hindered sintering densification of compacts during SPS process. The oxide phase was reduced to the pure W phase during SPS. The W nanopowder's compacts treated by the hydrogen reduction showed high sintered density of 94.5%. after SPS process at $1900^{\circ}C$.

  • We developed friction welded bimetallic sleeve for 220kV aluminum conductor XLPE cable. Not only friction welded bimetallic sleeve for Termination(EB-A, EB-G) but also friction welded sleeve for Joint of Al to Cu conductor was developed regardless of this project. Generally, friction welded sleeve used to connect Al conductor cable to Cu conductor cable and used for improvement of mechanical property of terminal by offer the copper side of friction welded bimetallic sleeve at the Termination. Connection method for Al-Cu conductor has mainly used friction welding at the solid state, because it is difficult to connect by using conventional welding method. this investigation introduces development of friction welded bimetallic sleeve by friction welding and test result of 220kV Al conductor XLPE cable and accessories using friction welded sleeve.

  • In this paper, High Frequency PD measuring system using directional coupler sensors(DCS) is introduced. Especially the principles of the DCS and characteristics of the system are introduced. Evaluation of this system was carried by an adoption to the test circuit of 345kV XLPE $2000mm^2$ cable and EB-A, EB-G, PIJ, PNJ. In the test a PD measurement was carried out without shieldroom and under the on-line state and in the high frequency range at the remote site from the test object. The test result was satisfactory and this is due to the use of DCS and using a high frequency range and specific filter for radio and TV signal and low pass. This system can be used to the test of a new construction of cable and accessories and measuring of long-term deterioration of cable and accessories. And this will bring us the reliability of a power transmission.
