The frequency analysis of measuring arc data of electric train (전기철도 아크 실측정데이터 주파수 분석)

  • In this paper, measuring equipment for arcs which are caused by losing contact between a pantograph and a catenary in the electric train, TTX, was designed and we actually measured arcs of current and voltage at 2007. 5. 16 $\sim$ 17, 2007. 5. 31, 2007. 6. 18 $\sim$ 19 and 2007.6. 30 $\sim$ 31, a total of 4 times. The TTF tool was made by LabVIEW software and the actually measured arc data were analyzed by the FFT tool. The analysis result showed that the arc current and voltage contains much harmonic, so we must consider problems of EMS and EMI in the main circuit system of the electric train TTX.

  • AC AT feeding method consists return circuits of electric train inserting in parallel between trolly line and feeding line and connecting neutral line to rail and FPW. Due to increasing train number, electric load at feeding system are increasing and collecting voltage of train are going down. To increase electric load and collecting voltage between trolly line and rail, the usefulness of new autotransformer are considered which variation of short impedance and change of line voltage is simulated with modified winding ratio of autotransformer from 1:1 to variable tab.

  • A de-wiring trolley wire usually makes the electrical system complex and may have an adverse effect on the electrical system inside the train. It is important to analyze the effect on trains in de-wiring trolley wire. we accomplished an equivalent model of the electric train system. We used PSCAD/EMTDC, an electromagnetic transient program. The result of this study can be used as a facility design to use a power conversion system filter and needs to prove through actual field data in the main circuit of an electric train for a precise analysis about effect of de-wiring.

  • The aims of this study is to develop working robot for a installed trolley cable of an electric train and objective of this paper is to implement mobile control of working robot. In this paper an approach to method for scheme of a mobile control system is presented in a dynamic hybrid velocity/tension control of working robot. The working robot is composed the velocity and tension controllers using the concept of two-degrees-of-freedom servo-controller. This robot moved at same time a certain distance to constrain a constant tension and installed a trolley cable of an electric train. To move the robot the velocity control system have design and implemented. Simulation and experimental results are presented to illustrate the validity of designed mobil scheme.

  • The vibration signals of driving parts of electric train are distorted its signal patterns due to the impact components, which occurs when wheel passes rail joints. An elimination method of the impact components is investigated using adaptive signal processing technique in this study. The result shows that adaptive interference canceling method seems to be more effective than line enhancement technique. The application of adaptive interference canceling method to the signal measured at bogie shows that the extractions of the signals of driving parts of traction motor, reduction gear, and axle bearing are successful. Therefore, only the signals of bogie, which is the place to attach an accelerometer easily, is sufficient for the fault diagnosis and the safety evaluation of electric train. Also, adaptive interference canceling method can be applicable to evaluate the performance of vibration isolation between bogie and car body and to investigate the characteristics of indoor sound.

  • Recently, electricity is essential for human lives. Modem people take cultural benefits due to the development of the electric power system and the spread of the high tech-electric appliances, the cell phones, and etc. However, the electromagnetic field problems become prominent figures owing to the fault of the communication devices around the power line and the biological effect, and etc. In this paper, we introduce the simple electromagnetic field calculation based on the transmission line matrix method, prior to the analysis about the influence of electromagnetic field. Simulation object is the inner part of the trailer car in the high speed train. Unlike the existing paper we submitted, we analyze not only the magnetic field but the electric field in the inner part of the trailer car which makes up the high speed train.

  • While passing through the AC/DC section insulators installed at electric railroad catenary, some electric trains undergo mis-operation of main circuit breaker after AC/DC change-over operation. This paper provides insulation resistance measurements of AC/DC section insulators, which confirm the insulation levels of section insulators are below the standard of insulators. The insulation deterioration and pantograph arrangement on the electric train can produce voltage impression on section insulator which induces mis-operation of main circuit breaker To mitigate the insulation deterioration of the section insulator installed at underground railroads, the section insulators have been cleaned periodically, but section insulator structure should be modified to make the section insulator performance perfect. Based on the above analysis, effective modification method of AC/DC section insulator is provided.

  • An electric railway is unique system that electric trains consumed huge electric power are travelled and is much interested with EMC. There were several problems exceeding the standard in the frequency range of 9 kHz to 150 kHz because the radiation noises were moved the higher frequency range according to developing the power electronic technology. It is studied the analytic simulation for reducing noise level in terms of cables of the electric train and is experimentally approved the reduction effectiveness.

  • A neutral section is installed around feeding substation(SS) and sectioning post(SP) that M phase and T phase are isolated in AC feeding system. Electric Train under "Notch-OFF" is operated by inertia within the neutral section. It causes disturbing the operation of electric trains for speed drop and driver's mistakes.   • Recently, the interest of the high speed railway train is increased. Because it is energy-conserving and largely independent of fuel oil, an electric train is environmental friendly. In this paper we designed the eddy current brake for simulator of the Korean High Speed Railway Train(hereafter KHRT). Braking force and normal force according to current and speed are calculated.
