SBAR 프로그램이 암 병동 간호사의 의사소통명확성, 임상수행능력과 자기효능감에 미치는 효과 (Effects of SBAR Program on Communication Clarity, Clinical Competence and Self-efficacy for Nurses in Cancer Hospitals)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop Situation, Background, Assessment, Recommendations(SBAR) program and to test the effects of the program on communication clarity, clinical competence, and self-efficacy for clinical nurses in cancer hospitals. Methods: This study applied a nonequivalent control group non-synchronized design. There were 28 participants in the intervention group and 27 in the control group. SBAR program consisted of 4 parts and applied for 6 weeks in the intervention group. Data were analyzed with ${\chi}^2$ test, Fisher's exact test, t-test and ANCOVA using the SPSS program. Results: Communication clarity, clinical competence and self efficacy were significantly increased in the intervention group compared to those in the control group. Conclusion: These results suggest that SBAR program may improve communication clarity, clinical competence and self-efficacy for clinical nurses in cancer hospitals. Therefore, it is required to actively take advantage of this program to improve communication clarity among medical staffs, clinical competence, and self-efficacy in clinical nursing practices.

Gender Difference in Mediating Effects of Self-Efficacy for the Prevention of Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) among College Students' STD Knowledge, Susceptibility, and Sexual Autonomy

  • Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine the impact of self-efficacy in the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases (STD), knowledge of and susceptibility to STD, and the role of gender in sexual autonomy. Methods: Data were collected from 267 college students using self-report questionnaires during the period from the first to the twentieth of June 2015. Data were analyzed using $x^2$ test, Fisher's exact test, t-test, Pearson correlation coefficients, simple and multiple regression techniques with the PASW/WIN 20.0 program. Mediation analysis was performed according to the Baron and Kenny method and Sobel test. Results: In male students, self-efficacy for STD prevention showed a full mediating effect in the relationship between STD susceptibility and sexual autonomy (${\beta}$=-.08, p=.370). But in female students, it had a partial mediating effect (${\beta}$=-.25, p=.001). And self-efficacy for STD prevention showed partial mediating effects in the relationship between knowledge of STD and sexual autonomy in the both male (${\beta}$=.25, p=.005) and female students (${\beta}$=.33, p<.001). Conclusion: To enhance college students' sexual autonomy, it may be useful to build effective strategies enhancing students' knowledge about and susceptibility to STD and to develop a self-efficacy promotion program for college students.

초등학생의 시험불안에 대한 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안 대처방식의 상호작용효과 (The Interaction Effects on Test Anxiety of Elementary School Students by Academic Self-Efficacy and Test Anxiety Coping Styles)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the interaction effects of children's academic self-efficacy and to test their anxiety coping style in terms of their test anxiety. We conducted a questionnaire survey with 193 sixth-graders in an elementary school. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, the children were more worried about emotionality to test anxiety, and used problem-focused coping significantly more frequently than emotion-focused coping. In addition, female children demonstrated more emotionality and worry about test anxiety and used emotion-focused coping for test anxiety more frequently. Second, emotionality was higher when emotion-focused coping was used. In the case where the level of problem-focused coping was high, emotionality was higher when academic self-efficacy was high. Children's worry was lower when the level of problem-focused coping was high and when the level of emotion-focused coping was low. In female children, however, worry increased when the level of problem-focused coping was low and the level of emotion-focused coping was high.

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to investigate the effects of self-efficacy promoting program on self-efficacy, self-care behavior and psychosocial adaptation in patients with a colostomy. Method: A non-equivalent control group pre test post test design was used. The self efficacy promoting programs was composed of a CD image program based on varicaious experience, education and telephone coaching program based on verbal persuasion, and Stoma care practice, and Self care performance based on performance accomplishment. This study was carried out from July 2, 2005 to April 20, 2006 and 21 patients with a colostomy at one of 2 hospitals participated. Descriptive statistics, ${\chi}^2-test$, and Mann-whitney U test were used to analyze the data. Results: There were significantly different for specific self efficacy, self care and psychosocial adaptation between the experimental group and control group. Conclusion: The self efficacy promoting program for patients with stomas was effective in improving degree of specific self efficacy, self care and psychosocial adaptation.

대학생의 애착과 자기효능감 및 대학생활 적응과의 관계 (A Study of the Relationship Between College Student's Attachment, Self-Efficacy and the Adjustment to College Life)

  • Purpose: This study intends to clarify the relative importance and character of the college student's attachment to their parents. We examined the effect that the father and mother attachments have en their self-efficacy and adjustment to their college life. Method: The subjects were 271 students who attendee a university. For this study, we used the inventory of the Parent Attachment-Revised version by Armsden and Greenberg, a self-efficacy test by Sherer et al. and the investigation far adjustment to college life by Barker & Siryk. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA, Duncan test and simple multiple regression analysis on an SPSS WIN 10.0 program. Results: There was a significant differences in the attachment to the father according to their grades and in the attachment to the mother according to their type of residence. There was a significant difference in the adjustment to their college life according to their grades. Regression analysis on attachment and self-efficacy suggested that attachment has an influence on self-efficacy. Regression analysis on attachment and adjustment to college life suggested that attachment has influence on the adjustment to college life. Attachment also has an influence on academic adjustment, social adjustment, personal-emotional adjustment and institutional adjustment on the subscale of adjustment to college life. Regression analysis on self-efficacy and adjustment to college life suggested that self-efficacy has an influence on adjustment to college life. Further, self-efficacy has an influence on academic adjustment, social adjustment, personal-emotional adjustment and institutional adjustment on the subscale of adjustment to college life. Conclusion: This study shows that there are relationships among attachment, self-efficacy and adjustment to college life. Especially, self-efficacy is a very important factor influencing the adjustment to college life. So, a plan designed to increase students' self-efficacy should be created based on the results of this study.

Antimicrobial efficacies of alkaline disinfectant solution and commercial disinfectants against Brucella ovis

  • Bruella spp. involves a considerable danger of public health and farm animal industry. In this study, we assessed the disinfection efficacy of alkaline disinfectant solution and three commercial farm disinfectants (quaternary ammonium compound, sodium dichloroisocyanurate, potassium monopersulphate/sodium dichloroisocyanurate) against Brucella ovis. A bactericidal efficacy test by broth dilution method was used to determine the lowest effective dilution of selected disinfectants following exposure to test bacteria for 30 minutes at $4^{\circ}C$. Disinfectants and test bacteria are diluted with distilled water (DW), hard water (HW) or organic matter suspension (OM) according to treatment condition. Three commercial disinfectant showed excellent antimicrobial activity (up to dilution of $\times200$ in OM treatment). Alkaline disinfectant solution demonstrated favorable bactericidal efficacy against B. abortus (at dilution of $\times20$ in OM treatment). Three commercial farm disinfectants possess excellent efficacy against B. ovis. Alkaline disinfectant solution has lower potency than commercial farm disinfectant but could help to limit the spread of brucellosis.

초등학생 대상의 건강 효능감과 지식을 중심으로 한 심혈관 건강증진 중재 효과 (Intervention Effect on Health Efficacy and Knowledge in Cardiovascular Health Promotion Behaviors in Children)

  • 목적: 본 연구는 학령기 아동 대상의 건강 효능감과 지식을 중심으로 한 심혈관 건강증진 중재 효과를 확인하기 위해 수행되었다. 방법: 본 연구는 반복측정 설계를 적용한 단일군 사전사후 연구 설계로 219명의 초등학생들 대상으로 하고 있다. 심혈관 건강증진 중재는 학교 수업을 기반으로 하는 주1회, 4주 교육으로 구성된 1차 중재와 부모에게 1차 중재 내용을 가정통신문의 형태로 전달하여 학생들의 건강 생활습관 유지에 있어서 부모의 역할을 강조하는 2차 중재로 구성되어 있다. 건강 효능감, 지식, 아동이 지각하는 부모의 모니터링에 대해 중재 전 기초 조사를 실시하고, 1차 중재 및 2차 중재 후 각각 실시하였다. 결과: 정신 건강 자아 효능감은 조사 시점에 따라 유의하게 증가하였다 (F = 32.88, p < 0.0001). 1차 및 2차 중재 후 신체 건강 자아 효능감의 경우 사전 조사에 비해 유의하게 증가하였으나 (F = 50.51, p < 0.0001), 부모 중재 기간 동안에는 건강 자아 효능감에 유의한 변화가 없었다. 지식수준은 전반적으로 증가하는 경향을 보였으나 (F =10.23, p < 0.0001), 부모 중재 후에는 오히려 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 또한 전반적인 자아 효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인으로 아동이 지각한 부모 모니터링인 것으로 나타났다. 결론: 본 연구의 결과는 학교 기반의 심혈관 건강 증진 프로그램이 건강 자아 효능감과 지식수준을 향상시키는 데 있어서 효과적이라는 기존 연구 결과를 지지하고 있다. 이 외에 학령기 아동의 건강 생활 습관 유도를 목적으로 건강 자아 효능감과 지식수준 향상을 위한 중재를 수행하는 데 있어서 부모의 영향을 고려해야 함을 제시하고 있다.

프리셉터가 지각한 직무스트레스, 자기효능감과 업무수행과의 관계 (Relationships among Work Stress, Self-Efficacy and the Task Performance of the Preceptor)

  • Purpose: This survey aimed to find out the relationship of work stress, self-efficacy, and task performance of the preceptor. Method: The data of this study were collected from 215 Preceptors who have been working in four hospitals in Deajeon. The data were analyzed by t-test, ANOVA and Duncan test for group differences, Pearson's correlation and Multiple Linear Regression with SPSS WIN 17.0 program. Result: There were significant positive relations between the work stress (r=0.193, p<0.05), self-efficacy (r=0.346, p<0.00), and the task performance of preceptor. The most predictive factors of the task performance were self-efficacy(11.5%), the job stress(2.7%), and age(2.0%). Conclusion: Nursing department supervisors need to manage preceptor to reduce work stress and to improve self-efficacy. It is recommended that work stress should be decreased and programs for increasing self-efficacy need developing in order to satisfy self-realization of preceptors and their needs.

보육실습이 예비보육교사의 보육효능감에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Practice on Student Teachers' Perceived Efficacy for Child Care and Teaching)

  • This study investigated the effects of Child Care and Teaching(CCT) practice on student teachers'(N=361) perceived Efficacy for Child Care an Teaching(ECCT), including relationships between ECCT and generalized self-efficacy. Instruments were the ECCT scale, the generalized self-efficacy scale, and self-evaluation concerning CCT. Research design consisted of pre-test, CCT practices. and post-test. Results showed that ECCT scores increased after CCT practice: ECCT was related with generalized self-efficacy and to self-evaluation concerning CCT. These findings suggested that CCT experience is important to student teachers' perceived ECCT, and ECCT, in turn, is a predictor of actual CCT behavior.

성별과 영어 학업성취도에 따른 중학생의 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안 차이 연구 (A Study on Differences between Academic Self-Efficacy and Test Anxiety of Middle School Students depending on Gender and English Achievement)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한국 중학생의 남 여학생과 영어 학업성취도에 따라 구분된 상 하위의 두 집단 간 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안에 차이가 있는가를 알아보는 것이다. 연구 대상은 중학생 98명으로 이들 중 남학생은 36명, 여학생은 62명이다. 본 연구에서는 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안 수준 측정을 위해 설문지를 이용하였다. 그리고 성별과 성적으로 분류된 두 집단 간 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안의 차이를 알아보기 위해 t검증을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 성별로 나누어진 두 집단 간 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안의 차이는 통계적으로 매우 유의적인 차이가 발견되었다. 그러나 영어 학업성취도로 분류된 상 하위의 두 집단 간 학업적 자기효능감과 시험불안의 차이는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 향후 연구는 본 연구에서 나타난 연구 도구와 연구 대상의 제한점을 고려하여 보다 폭넓게 이루어져야 하겠다. 또한 두 집단 간의 다른 정의적 변수의 차이에 관해서도 이루어져야 된다고 본다.
