This research was conducted to provide basic document on efficient health promotion behavior program that elementary school students can use from elementary school course to enhance health promotion behavior for healthy life by checking out the degree of the most influential factor for health promotion behavior about elementary school students who establish lifelong health habit, and by checking out the relation between the degree of self-efficacy and health promotion behavior. The number of subjects of this research was 598. They were all elementary school students from the sixth grade students of the 5 cities of the Kyeong Nam province. We conducted questionnaires and did statistical analyses by using 592 papers which were suitable for date analyses with SPSS. The conclusions were as follows; A. The degree of self-efficacy The degree of self-efficacy of elementary school students was more than average. The degree of self-efficacy on physical activity was the highest and the degree of self-efficacy on self-fulfillment was the lowest. The degree of self-efficacy of girl students was comparatively higher than that of boy students. When their parents got higher education, made a lot of money and kept harmony with their children, the degree of self-efficacy became high. Furthermore, when their parents or themselves have a lot of interest in health, they feel that they are healthy, and they feel that they are satisfied with their bodies, the degree of self-efficacy was high too. B. The degree of health promotion behavior Although the degree of health promotion behavior of elementary school students was a bit lower than the degree of self-efficacy, it was higher than average. The degree of health promotion behavior on physical activity was the highest. But the degree of health promotion behavior on health of their own was the lowest. The degree of health promotion behavior between girl students and boy students was the same. C. The relation between self-efficacy and health promotion behavior When the degree of self-efficacy was high, the degree of health promotion behavior was high too. So there was high positive relationship between self-efficacy and health promotion behavior. Physical activity showed the highest relationship. The order of strong relationship run as follows. Relationship with others, self-fulfillment, management of stress. The higher self-efficacy which was a recognizable factor on health behavior, the higher the degree of health promotion behavior. It is being revealed that many modem chronic diseases are cause by accumulated careless attitude on harmful health habit and lack of self-control. The behavior of keeping healthy and enhancing health is more firm when they have high self-efficacy which is believing their own conviction. So, When we teach elementary school students health promotion education at school, we should try to enhance their own self-efficacy rather than just instill simple information about health. By doing so, we can help them change their attitude on health. Then, they could enjoy life-long healthy life.
Purpose: This study was conducted to find out the effects of self-efficacy on job stress symptoms and coping strategies depending on perceived job stress. Method: The subjects were 447 workers employed in a manufacturing company. Demographic characteristics, self-efficacy, job stress, job stress symptoms and coping strategies were assessed by a self-administered questionnaire. Each envelope to keep the secret sealed completed questionnaires. Result: Job stress and job stress symptoms in workers with a high level of self-efficacy were lower than those of a low level of self-efficacy. Active coping strategies in workers with a high level of self-efficacy group were higher than those of a low level of self-efficacy. In multiple regression analysis, job stress symptoms were significantly higher in increasing job stress, increasing self-efficacy, office workers, manager group and increasing age. Active coping strategies were significantly higher in increasing self-efficacy, increasing career, males and decreasing job stress. Whereas passive coping strategies were significantly higher in females, increasing job stress and increasing self-efficacy. Conclusion: This study suggests that self-efficacy is a significant factor on job stress, job stress symptoms and coping strategies. Therefore, developing a job stress management program to increase self-efficacy and verifying its effects are needed.

Teacher efficacy influences teacher's own behaviors in class and students outcomes such as achievement, motivation and their own self-efficacy. In recent years, self efficacy and teacher efficacy are becoming more popular in many educational aspects. Teacher efficacy depends on him/her and each tasks and goals. Therefore, we need special instrument for measuring mathematics teacher efficacy. On this study, we derived educationally meaningful factors on mathematics teacher efficacy from previous literature. We developed Mathematics Teaching Efficacy Instrument(MTEI) consisted of 30 items with 6-point Likert scale. The six factors are as follows; mathematics teaching efficacy expectancy, mathematics teaching outcome expectancy, mathematics teaching content knowledge, teacher belief on their own students, the past mathematics learning experience for teacher own, influence from social-cultural environment.
Purpose: The present study was designed to explore and compare attributes of the quality of life between Korean elderly and Korean-American elderly. Method: The research design was a descriptive design and questionaries were used. Studies were done using questionnaires. Data were collected from convenient sample of 163 Korean elderly and 151 Korean-American elderly recruited from senior centers and churches. Collected data were analyzed by using SPSS/WIN 10.0. Results: There were significant difference between Korean elderly and Korean-American elderly in education and income. Korean-American elderly showed higher selfesteem, self-efficacy, and quality of life than those of Korean elderly. The influencing factors on quality of life in Korean elderly were defined as self-esteem and self-efficacy. And the influencing factor on quality of life in Korean-American elderly was defined as self-efficacy. Conclusion: In conclusion, the results of this study showed that self-efficacy was a very important factor as attribution to the quality of life for both elderly group. Therefore, self-efficacy should be promoted in nursing intervention in order to enhance the quality of life for both Korean and Korean-American elderly.
This study examined the effects of response-facilitating factors(Food-related Knowledge, Response-Efficacy, and Self-Efficacy) and response-inhibiting factors(Severity, Vulnerability, and Consumer Stress) on the consumer' behavior intention based on protection motivation theory, which explains the behavioral change to protect oneself. This study was conducted to reduce the customers' concerns regarding food safety accidents and introduce ways to make them more interested in food safety. A sample of 225 adults over 19 years of age was collected in February 2018 through a self-administered questionnaire. The results of the cognitive mediation process of protective motivation theory showed that the consumers' knowledge and self-efficacy which are response-facilitating factors, positively influence the behavioral intention. Severity and consumer stress were response-inhibiting factors. On the other hand, response-efficacy, which is a response-facilitating factor, and vulnerability, which is a response-inhibiting factor, did not influence the behavioral intention. Therefore, severity and consumer stress are response-inhibiting factors. The results were analyzed as a result of a behavioral change to protect oneself from food safety accidents. The applicability of the theory of protection motivation on the topic of food safety was also confirmed.
The purpose of this study were to examine the construct validation and internal reliability of the SHEQ(School Health Efficacy Question- naire)and to establish concurrent validity for the instrument among Korean adolescents by relationship found among SHEQ and the self-reported health status. The sample was consisted 393 high school students, aged with average of 17.40(±0.59) years. According to the criteria used in this validating study, a four-factor structure, which consisted of 31-items, resulting from a principal components analysis with an varimax rotation, best represented the multidimensionality of the SHEQ of adolescents in Korea. Internal consistency estimated for the four factor on the SHEQ subscales range from .68 to .83. Evidence in support of concurrent validity for both 31-item and 38-item of SHEQ was provided by statistically significant correlations found between the two scales and self-reported health. With the findings of this study, the 31-item Korean version of the SHEQ can be used in practice as a reliable and valid instrument measuring perceived self-efficacy in physical and mental health for adolescents in Korea.

Purpose: The disease specific self-efficacy of mothers caring children with atopic dermatitis is a crucial factor for adherence to recommended treatments. This study investigated factors associated with disease specific self-efficacy of mothers of atopic dermatitis children. Methods: A cross-sectional study was used. One hundred twenty five mothers recruited from the out-patient clinic of three hospitals completed self-administrative questionnaires, including the disease specific self-efficacy, general parenting efficacy, and severity of atopic dermatitis. Descriptive statistics, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis were performed. Results: The degree of disease specific self-efficacy of mothers was significantly different according to the disease severity, and parenting efficacy. 26.0% of the variance of disease specific self-efficacy was explained by the severity of disease and parenting efficacy. Conclusions: Future studies need to focus on the development of educational programs that will help to improve mothers' disease specific self-efficacy as well as parenting efficacy.

The purpose of this study is to examine the influences of learners' self-efficacy on class satisfaction in learning practical basic sewing. Questionnaires were distributed to 181 college women students living in the areas of Deagu Metropolitan City and Gyeongbuk Province. The data obtained were analyzed by using various statistical tools: frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, and multiple regression. The self efficacy of learners of practical basic sewing were made up of five factors: ability to manage interpersonal relationships, ability to deal with assigned tasks, anxiety, challenging spirit, and fear. Class satisfaction was composed of the following factors such as interest in class, professors' ability, achievement of class objectives, connectivity, preparation for class, preference for practices, and perfectibility. This study indicated the correlations between sub-variables of learners' self efficacy and class satisfaction. In other words, the higher were the levels of ability to manage interpersonal relationships, and ability to deal with assigned tasks in self efficacy, the higher were the levels of interest in class, professors' ability, achievement of class objectives, preference for practices, and perfectibility in class satisfaction. The factors of ability to deal with assigned tasks, anxiety, and challenging spirit, in learners' self efficacy were found to have statistically significant effects on the achievement of class objectives. The factor of ability to deal with assigned tasks in self efficacy had a statistically significant influence on professors' ability. The factors of ability to deal with assigned tasks, anxiety, challenging spirit and fear were found to have statistically significant effects on all the factors of class satisfaction.
This study explored potential therapeutic mechanisms of playing preferred online games as predictors of therapeutic interventions for players' psychosocial factors (i.e., aggression, depression, and loneliness). Based on theories of catharsis, the generic model of psychotherapy, we took a therapeutic approach to integrate these perspectives. We created a path model describing how therapeutic catharsis-seeking, online game self-efficacy, and life self-efficacy were associated with psychosocial factors of aggression, depression, and loneliness, including generalized sub-constructs of each factor as multi-dimensional sources. We analyzed the path model using data of 1,227 online game players in Korea. Our results indicated that therapeutic catharsis-seeking could alleviate aggression via favorite game playing. Life self-efficacy was a primary predictor for alleviating depression and loneliness. However, online game self-efficacy was positively associated with depression and loneliness. Implications of these findings are discussed.
This study analyzed how the self-efficacy and commitment on functional satisfaction and repurchase intentionof mountaineering apparels. The survey was conducted over the climbers with 298 subjects. The statistical analysis methods were frequency analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis, and regression analysis. The results showed that the self-efficacy of climbers were classified into self-regulated efficacy, self-confidence, and task difficulty preference, and the commitment of climbers were classified into behavioral commitment and cognitive commitment. The self-regulated efficacy and self-confidence influenced the behavioral commitment and the self-regulated efficacy influenced the cognitive commitment. The behavioral commitment and cognitive commitment influenced the functional satisfaction and repurchase intention of mountaineering apparels. The functional satisfaction influenced the repurchase intention of mountaineering apparels.
