In this study, we investigated the clean appearance and good stretch properties. Usually, clean appearance concerned with the dyeing properties of core and effect yarns. The dyeing properties between core yarn (conjugate yarn) and effect yarn were determined by the build-up and the color differences using the four different yarns of SDY FD(spindraw yarn full dull), SDY CD(spindraw yarn cation dyeable), POY FD( partially-oriented yarn full dull) and POY CD(partially-oriented yarn cation dyeable). We used the single color dye of C. I. Disperse Blue 79 and mixed colors made by C. I. Disperse Red 60, C. I. Disperse Blue 56, and C. I. Disperse Yellow 54.
The purpose of this study was to develop the rain melange fabrics with using the pulsar interlacing unit. The properties of the pulsar interlaced yarns (PI yarn) which were textured with the several texturing conditions were analyzed and compared with the regular interlaced yarn (IT yarn) and with normally composited yarn (CP yarn). The results were as follows : The PI yarn which has the best rain random melange effect could be obtained with following texturing condition; 3 kg/$cm^2$ of interlacing air pressure, 1.6 mm diameter of interlacing nozzle and 500 m/min of yarn speed. When IT yarn was compared with CP yarn, IT yarn had higher denier and tenacity than those of CP yarn and had lower elongation and shrinkage than those of CP yarn.
This research has a main focus on providing fundamental data for on-the-spot industrial fields by comparing and contrasting physical properties of fluffy spun-like material. The fluffy spun-like yarn is developed as fluffy yarn similar to natural spun-like yarn by treating polyester(FDY and + type shaped DTY) with ATY machine. In this experiment, using ATY machine for raw material texturing, we produced two fluffy yarns: (i) + type shaped(50d/36f, DTY) as core yarn and 100d/192f FDY as effect yarn[ATY(D)], (ii) FDY(75/36) as core yarn and 100d/192f FDY [ATY(F)] as effect yarn. After producing thous yarns, we twisted them with 500T/M, 700T/M, 1000T/M, respectively. produced yarns through this process were used as the samples for this experiment. Even though the shrinkage of fluffy yarn ATY(F) and ATY(D) becomes high as treated temperature rises and treated time lengthens, it is more affected by treated temperature then by treated time. In this experiment, produced fluffy yarn[ATY(D)] shows a little high values for temperature, but almost same values for higher temperatures. When we compare ATY(F) with ATY(D) fluffy yarn shows more natural fluffy yarn surface structure like natural cotton. The shrinkage of 700T/M twisted ATY(D) fluffy yarn show about 11% under treated temperature $180^{\circ}C$ and treated time 30min, and about 7% under $120^{\circ}C$ and 30min, respectively. But the shrinkage of 1000T/M fluffy yarn shoes about 9% and 6% under same conditions. Regarding treated time, tenacity and initial modulus of ATY(D) fluffy yarn rise high until 30min, but do not show much increase above 30min. Regarding treated temperature, tenacity and initial modulus of it rise high aboyer $140^{\circ}C$.
Needle contamination was investigated using a test rig simulated the knitting points in the knitting machine in relation with the characteristics of knitting yarn such as yarn type and moisture contents. When used open-end yarn compared with combed and carded ring-spun yarns, the needle contamination was significantly increased because of the higher friction between yarn and needle by the fly and other impurities. Also Lower moisture content of the yarns aggravated the needle contamination. In addition knitting yarn breakage was substantially influenced by the higher needle contamination.

This is studied about the development of new PET yarn having the new appearance and touch effect of Polyester(PET) Yarn as using spinning and texturing technology. The spinning technology is that we use the manufacturing technology caused to the denier difference of filaments composing of yarn. And the texturing technology is that we develope texturing condition caused to spun yarn effect as using filaments producing from the spinning processing.

The following is the experimental result of wool yarn shrinkage when glass tube is used for felting test. 1. A machine spun wool yarn's shrinkage more than hand spun wool yarn's. 2. Shaking has great effect on the shrinkage of wool yarns
The effect of braid construction parameters on yarn cross-sectional shape is presented in this paper. The location of the yam within the braid unit cell is quantified by a compaction factor. A range of braided fabrics were produced and optically measured for actual yarn cross-sectional shape. A comparison of the theoretical and experimental values shows good correlation. Design curves can be produced with the developed model to allow selection of appropriate braid process parameter to create yarns with desired cross-sectional geometries.

This research investigated the effect of individual yarn colors on the perception of overall colors of yarn-dyed woven fabrics. The way the colors of yarn-dyed woven fabrics are perceived is known as visual color mixing: when the different colored yarns juxtaposed on the fabric surface are observed from some distance away, they are visually mixed in our eyes and perceived as a solid color. However, we can still see individual yarn colors that make the fabrics look obviously different from actual solid colors. To quantify this visual color mixing effect, twenty-one sateen fabrics were produced in a wide range of colors using cyan, magenta, and yellow yarns, and the colors were measured instrumentally. The obtained colorimetric values were converted into solid color images on a CRT monitor. Then, the physical fabrics were scanned, and the scanned images were displayed on the monitor with solid color images in pairs for visual color difference evaluation. The woven and solid colors in each pair were of physically identical color; however, the visual color difference was as large as $4.81{\Delta}{E^*}_{ab}$ on average. A visual color difference model was proposed by considering this parametric effect of individual yarn colors.
The thermal bonding PET fabrics were produced through high temperature steaming (HTS) of low melting PET yarn as warp and composite fancy yarn containing low melting PET yarn as weft. The low melting PET yarn of sheath-core structure consisted of a regular PET in core portion and low melting PET in sheath portion. The composite fancy yarn consisted of regular PET yarn as inner part and effect part and low melting PET yarn as binding part. This study was carried out to investigate the melting behavior of thermal bonded PET fabric, the effect of HTS on the thermal bonding, mechanical properties, and dyeing properties. The melting peak of low melting PET yarn showed two melting peaks caused by sheath-core structure. Almost the entire thermal bonding of the fancy PET fabrics containing low melting PET yarn has formed at $200^{\circ}C{\times}3min$ of HTS. The tensile strength in warp and weft direction of the fancy PET fabrics slightly decreased as temperature of HTS increased. The total K/S value of the fancy PET fabrics decreased slightly to $180^{\circ}C{\times}3min$ of HTS, while increased slightly above $200^{\circ}C{\times}3min$ of HTS. The changes in the hue angle ($H^{\circ}$) of the thermal bonded fancy PET fabrics dyed with disperse dyes hardly ever happened.

We report the development of a room-temperature hydrogen ($H_2$) gas sensor based on carbon nanotubes (CNT) yarn. To detect $H_2$ gas in room temperature, a highly ordered CNT yarn was placed on a substrate from a spin-capable CNT forest, followed by the deposition of a platinum (Pt) layer on surface of the CNT yarn. To examine the effect of the Pt-layer on the response of the CNT sensor, a comparative sensing performance was characterized on both the Pt deposited and non-deposited CNT yarn at room temperature. The Pt-CNT yarn yielded high response, whereas the non-deposited CNT yarn showed negligible response for $H_2$ detection at room temperature. Pt is a reliable and efficient catalyst that can substantially improve the detection of $H_2$ gas by chemical sensitization via a "spillover" effect. It can be efficiently utilized to increase the sensitivity and selectivity as well as to obtain fast response and recovery times.
