It is to determine whether fairness had a mediating role in the relationship between self control and happiness. Participants were 275 undergraduate students. Self control, fairness, and happiness scales were used. For data analysis, correlation analysis, factor analysis, structural equation modeling analysis were conducted. The present study used structural equation modeling to examine the relation among variables. The analyses revealed that the present data best fit the research model in which self control were directly associated with happiness and mediated by fairness(${\chi}^2(51)=91.723$, TLI=0.919 CFI=0.937 RMSEA=0.054). The results indicate that self control affect happiness directly. And also self control affect happiness indirectly by mediation of fairness. Self control had a positive effect on fairness and happiness. This suggests that it is important to have educational and psycho-social interventions to improve happiness of undergraduate students.

  • Purpose: Based on the Reserve Capacity Model, this study investigated the effects of pre- and postmenopausal women's socioeconomic status (SES) on depression, focusing on the mediating effects of self-esteem, happiness, and family relationship satisfaction with social network relationships. Methods: This cross-sectional study involved secondary analysis of national data on 771 perimenopause women gathered from the 16th Korea Welfare Panel Study (KOWEPS) 2021. A path analysis model was constructed to evaluate the relationship between SES, social network satisfaction, self-esteem, perceived health status, and depression. Data were analyzed using ADANCO 2.3.1 and Mplus 8.4. Results: Although SES had no direct effect on depression, it did affect depression through self-esteem, happiness, and satisfaction with family relationships. Conclusion: The findings of this study indicate that perimenopausal women's personal resources—psychosocial variables such as self-esteem and happiness—had a higher effect on depression than tangible reserves like SES. Therefore, interventions for enhancing self-esteem and happiness may prevent depression in perimenopausal women effectively.

To this end, this study aims to verify whether a positive psychotherapy program can improve happiness, resilience, and post-traumatic growth along with improvement of psychological symptoms such as depression. Research design, data and methodology: To this end, in this study, mean difference analysis was conducted using t-test on 10 participants in the 16th PPT program and 14 in the control group. Also, after setting the main variables, we tried to confirm the effectiveness through simple regression analysis and multiple regression analysis of the causal relationship model. Results: As a result of the independent sample t-test and the paired sample t-test, it was confirmed that the group participating in the PPT program had higher flourish, happiness, resilience, post-traumatic growth, and lower depression. In addition, as a result of regression analysis, it was confirmed that post-traumatic growth had a positive effect, and that depression was a life-threatening factor. Conclusions: Since the PPT program has a positive effect on the participants with relatively negative psychological symptoms, it is necessary to expand it. In addition, it is necessary to introduce various preventive programs such as PPT as well as traditional psychological treatment for negative symptoms such as depression.

Difference between emotional happiness and retirement preparation according to presence or absence of disease, emotional happiness (t = -4.503, p <0.01) and economic aging preparation (t = -4.960, p <0.01) were statistically significant. Emotional happiness affects the preparation of old age, emotional happiness affects to physical aging preparation under statistical significance (F=25.191, p<0.01), economic aging preparation (F=1131.783, p<0.01), and social aging preparation (F=147.672, p<0.01) which were sub components of aging preparation.
