This article proposes to examine how the study of failure differs from other technical subjects, and how to turn failure experiences to one's advantage. The authors surveyed the properties of failures in PBL (Project Based Learning) and also examined students' interest and understanding of failure, after introducing failure examples. To investigate how students communicate failure experiences to third parties, reports of the failure experience in PBL were evaluated. From above mentioned surveys, we get the following results. The typical causes of failure in educational institutions are lack of skill in manufacturing and inadequate planning, which conversely are minor causes of failure in the industry. A knowledge database on failure, employed commonly in industry, is not effective in PBL, because projects in educational institutes are usually changed every year. Case studies in failure can be approached from many points of view including causes, processes, effects and safety measures. While teachers should emphasize the notable points in the failure examples in introducing examples of specific topics in machine design, teachers should explain the multiple aspects in the failure examples to educate students about the complexity of actual accidents.

This study investigated why homeschooling families choose homeschooling instead of public education and the changes and adjustment processes that those families undergo during their homeschooling period. The participants in the study are 18 families who have experienced more than 2 years of homeschooling. Mothers, fathers, and children all participated in a series of interviews. The analysis of the data was performed using the four stages of phenomenological study as presented by Giorgi. The main subject of this study is the belief of homeschooling families that "homeschooling is not a mere educational method but a life style." Initially, they choose homeschooling as a mere educational method, but the results here show that communication between parents and children increased and family cohesion was strengthened as time passed. In conclusion, it was found that many aspects of life begin to change for those who undertake homeschooling, including the values, statuses, and rules of the family. Thus, homeschooling can become a lifestyle.

Most engineering software tools use typical menu-based user interfaces, and they may not be suitable for learning tools because the solution processes are hidden and students can only see the results. An educational tool for simple beam analyses is developed using a pen-based user interface with a computer so students can write and sketch by hand. The geometry of beam sections is sketched, and a shape matching technique is used to recognize the sketch. Various beam loads are added by sketching gestures or writing singularity functions. Students sketch the distributions of the loadings by sketching the graphs, and they are automatically checked and the system provides aids in grading the graphs. Students receive interactive graphical feedback for better learning experiences while they are working on solving the problems.

To reveal secondary teachers' in-service education needs, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 individual teachers based on semi-structured questions and qualitative data analysis procedures were adopted. They wanted to have; a. more knowledge of one's subject, subject related information, culture and common sense, counseling psychology, foreign language, and the 7th curriculum, b. better skills of student-centered teaching-learning methods, guidance and class management, good use of computers, and educational evaluation, c. improved attitudes regarding democratic problem solution processes, conversation with and service to students from their viewpoints, commitment to preparations for teaching, educational innovation and improvement, elimination of improperness, and pride of teaching job.

This article proposes to consider the experience of using information and communication technologies in educational processes and social practices of Ukrainian universities. The history of the introduction of information and communication technologies in the development of the higher education system is considered, the system of organizing the information space of universities is investigated. The distinctive features of the structure of a single information space, as well as distance e-learning technologies are highlighted. Empirical material obtained in the course of sociological research is used to discuss specific examples of the use of ICT in universities.

The article is assigned to a prelude to the joke of effective pedagogical technologies in professional education in the minds of її continuity. Analyzed the definitions "innovation", "technology", "pedagogical technology", "Innovation pedagogical technology". Blocks have been added, which are stored in innovation processes in the light. The significant role of innovation in education is stated. Presented warehouses pedagogical technologies: conceptual, conceptual-processual and professional. The purpose of introducing innovative technologies into the educational process of vocational education institutions has been clarified. The reasons for finding and implementing innovative pedagogical technologies in education are analyzed.

The article notes that one of the reasons for the crisis in education was the sharp discrepancy between the emerging new forms and content and the model of macro-management that has developed over the decades. The level of management of the educational system did not emerge as a specific activity characterized by its own mechanisms and processes, just as qualified carriers of this activity - professionals - managers - did not appear. At the same time, there is practically no theoretical and methodological model of the macrolevel of education management, that is, management of the educational system as an integral structure.

The theoretical analysis and synthesis of prospects for the development of distance learning in Ukraine, the main topical problems of distance education in Ukraine are considered, the main factors that hinder the introduction of distance learning are analyzed, to pay attention to the need to increase the level of computer literacy among Ukrainian educators and the formation of modern methodology of distance learning, in particular, a single, systematic, national approach of organization, coordination and control in this area. In Dictyostelium , there are 15 Ras subfamilies, including 11 Ras, 3 Rap, 1 Rheb. The Ras proteins are involved in regulating various cell processes as switch proteins. The functions of many Ras proteins have been identified, but some of Ras proteins have not yet been identified. Here, we focused on identifying the roles of RasW among them. To investigate the functions of RasW in cell morphology, cell migration, and development in Dictyostelium , we compared the phenotypes of wild-type cells and rasW null cells. rasW null cells showed a larger, more spread-out morphology and reduced cell motility compared to wild-type cells. There was no significant difference between wild-type cells and rasW null cells during multicellular developmental process. These results suggest that RasW is involved in regulating cell morphology and cell migration in Dictyostelium.

The purpose of this research is to propose a novel social LMS developed for group collaborative learning with a think-aloud tool integrated for sharing cognitive processes in order to improve group collaborative learning performance. In this developmental research, the system was designed with three critical elements: the think-aloud element supports learners through shared cognition, the social network element improves the quality of collaborative learning by forming a structured social environment, and the learning management element provides a understructure for collaborative learning for student groups. Moreover, the three critical elements were combined in an educational context and applied in three directions.
