Over the last few years, rural areas in northeastern Mexico have present significant changes in social, economic, and territorial aspects linked to the New Rurality. In this context, winemaking has become one of the most dynamic and growing activities in the regional economy. This emerging development has prompted different forms of appropriation and use of this space, but it also highlights the lack of access to knowledge for wine production due to the lack of formal educational centers. As a result, learning communities enable the development of skills and competencies through non-formal educational practices. The objective of this paper is to analyze the role of learning communities in non-formal educational environments, taking as a case study: a collective of small-scale wine producers in Parras de la Fuente, Coahuila. This research focuses on two perspectives of learning: appropriation and technology transfer, and promotion of Mexican wine culture. The main finding was to demonstrate the importance of including educational processes that respond to the context and needs of the community.

Schools have focused so far on a student-oriented education. As the roles of schools, however, have been increasingly emphasized in the information society, community-centered functions are now additionally required. Beyond simply allowing communities to utilize selected facilities, schools can conduct re-education programs for community residents and actively use their facilities for such purposes. As explained above, schools must continuously evolve to meet current needs and demands, such as by offering special classes and utilizing learning facilities in the elementary levels to promote learning in ever-changing societies. This study analyzed the functions of school facilities to communities, as well as the educational functions involved in teaching-learning processes, in light of the advent of a knowledge and information society. Through analysis, the types of information facilities in elementary schools were derived. On the basis of such derived types, systematic and reasonable methods to estimate the scope were suggested.

The purposes of this study were as follows; to investigate elementary school teachers' understanding of scientific inquiry, experiences in learning/teaching, their educational experience of scientific inquiry, and to study the difficulties they experience in teaching scientific inquiry methods to elementary students and their suggestions for future inquiry materials. For the purposes of this study, 157 elementary school teachers participated in a survey and 10 teachers were interviewed in-depth in relation to their ideas and experiences of scientific inquiry. The results show that most elementary school teachers had a lack of understanding of scientific inquiry skills, and lacked educational experiences of inquiry methods in general. They generally perceived the 7th science text-books as being inappropriate and inadequate for teaching students scientific inquiry processes. The educational implications are discussed to help practitioners implement scientific inquiries successfully through the various types of teaching materials and professional developments.

Accounting education research addresses a wide range of topics related to students, educational processes, educational outcomes, faculty, administrative structures, and the programs and constituents of accounting education. This study examines accounting education researches for the purpose of identifying changes in this research literature and opportunities for enhancing its development. The total number of accounting articles published each year has increased. More significant is the increase in the portion of articles based on empirical research and the decrease in the portion of non-empirical articles. And the empirical studies were classified by type of study, by type of statistics used in the study, and by whether the study referred to other accounting or non-accounting literature. These analysis suggests a number of opportunities for the development of future accounting education research: (1) review relevant non-accounting literature, (2) seek empirical tests of fundamental relationships, (3) design multi-institutional and longitudinal tests, (4) provide for aptitude-treatment interactions, and (5) focus on educational outcomes.

In this paper, we describe an educational tool for presentation which shows teacher's whole handwriting process to learners named HPT(Handwriting Presentation Tool). We assume that presenting writing processes has rich educational information. We believe this information influences learners' understandings of the provided learning contents. Animation functions of popular presentation tools are not enough to represent this information. Our presentation tool enables the lessons with a new type of presentation slides which combine advantages of traditional blackboards and popular presentation tools.

The article considers the state and trends of distance learning in the world and Ukraine, identifies the main species differences between distance education and other forms of education, analyzes the state of the global market for educational services provided via the Internet. Important features and characteristics of distance learning, examples of its organization in higher education, as well as statistics on the development of distance learning in our country. The main problematic points on the way to the implementation of the distance education system in Ukraine and the factors that hinder the development of this promising form of education are outlined.

In this study, the 9th grade students were interviewed to explore their comprehension and interpretation processes of inscriptions representing the concept of atom and molecule. We used a semiotic model for the interview and the analysis of result. The research result revealed that the students performed structuring processes of interpreting inscriptions successfully, but they had a difficulty with translating processes for attaining the target concept or for connecting an inscription with another inscription. Translating processes of connecting inscription with text showed a different result according to achievement level of each student. On the other hand, all the interviewees showed similar sequences in the processes of interpreting inscriptions. Educational implications of these findings were discussed.

The article identifies the problem of monitoring the quality of higher education in three main areas, which are comparative pedagogical systems of education. The first direction is determined by dissertation works, the second - monographs and textbooks, and the third reveals scientific periodicals. According to its internal structure, monitoring the quality of education combines important management components identified in the article (analysis, evaluation and forecasting of processes in education; a set of methods for tracking processes in education; collecting and processing information to prepare recommendations for research processes and make necessary adjustments). Depending on the objectives, three areas of monitoring are identified: informational (involves the accumulation, structuring and dissemination of information), basic (aimed at identifying new problems and threats before they are realized at the management level), problematic (clarification of patterns, processes, hazards, those problems that are known and significant from the point of view of management). According to its internal structure, monitoring the quality of education combines the following important management components: analysis, evaluation and forecasting of processes in education; a set of techniques for tracking processes in education; collection and processing of information in order to prepare recommendations for the development of the studied processes and make the necessary adjustments. One of the priorities of the higher education modernization program during the COVID-19 pandemic is distance learning, which is possible due to the existence of information and educational technologies and communication systems, especially for effective education and its monitoring in higher education. The conditions under which the effectiveness of pedagogical support of monitoring activities in the process of distance learning is achieved are highlighted. According to the results of the survey, the problems faced by higher education seekers are revealed. A survey of students was conducted, which had a certain level of subjectivity in personal assessments, but the sample was quite representative.

The purpose of this paper is to propose a teaching method which is focused on the mathematical thinking skills such as the use of induction, counter example, analogy, and so on mathematicians use when they explore their research fields. Many have indicated that students have learned mathematics exploring to use very different methods mathematicians have done and suggested students explore as they do. In the first part of the paper, the plausible whole processes from the beginning time they get a rough idea to a refined mathematical truth. In the second part, an example with Euler characteristic of 1. In the third, explaining the same processes with ${\pi}$, a model modified from the processes is designed. It is hoped that the suggested model, focused on a variety of mathematical thinking, helps students learn mathematics with understanding and with the association of exploring entertainment.

Teacher's competence in student assessment can be developed by the successive experiences that they choose assessment methods, develop assessment instrument, administer the assessment, score and grade students' responses, analyze, interpret, use, and communicate assessment results, and reflect the whole assessment processes. In this study I educated pre-service teachers in order for them to improve their assessment competence. Mathematics pre-service teachers practiced and reflected the assessment processes. In the aspects of reflections, I analyzed their journals about the knowledge of assessment, the dual situation as a student and a teacher, and their assessment practices. These areas are proved to interact each other, contribute pre-service teachers' assessment competence and construct the elements of assessment competence. And I identified the development of pre-service teachers' assessment competence quantitatively by the teacher's assessment competence test.
