암환자의 긍정성 증진을 위한 블렌디드 건강코칭 교육프로그램 프로토타입 개발 및 적용 (Developing and Pilot-Testing Blended Learning Program Prototypes for Health Coaching to Support Positive Growth of Cancer Patients)

  • This study aimed to develop and pilot-test educational program prototypes of training health coaches to help cancer patients overcome crises and create positive growth. For this purpose, the educational contents and methods of the blended learning program prototypes were derived through learner needs and literature analysis. The prototypes, which consist of introducing of health management and health information and understanding and practice of basic coaching and health coaching, were developed to integrate with four sessions of face-to-face, off-line classes, training practices through 12 tele-classes, and use of online learning system. The prototypes were conducted and pilot-tested by a total of 35 students selected through the document screening and the interview. After participating in the blended learning program, learners expressed greater overall satisfaction with each session program (average score = 4.36, with 5 being most satisfied), satisfaction with learning contents (average score=4.42) satisfaction with course preparation (average score = 4.26) and satisfaction with lecture materials (average score = 4.19). The results of this study show that a systematic and integrative approach for designing a blended learning program can be useful for various educational needs in health and medical fields. In the future, empirical studies are expected to see how these curricula are actually implemented and assess whether the intended learning outcomes are achieved.

  • 대부분의 학교에서 운영하고 있는 홈페이지는 대외적으로 교육활동을 홍보하고 대내적으로는 업무의 효율성과 학습자료 탑재를 위해 사용되고 있다. 그러나 각 학교의 특색 있는 교육정보나 자료의 공유는 제대로 이루어지지 않고 있는 실정이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 각 학교의 교육 활동 및 특색 사업들을 무선인터넷과 RSS를 이용하여 지역 교육청 홈페이지에서 종합하여 안내할 수 있는 학교 간 유무선 통합커뮤니티 시스템 CUBE를 설계하고 구현하였다. 현재 CUBE는 경남 산청교육청 내 13개 초등학교의 교사들과 학생들이 이 시스템 내에서 정보를 교환하고, 참여할 수 있도록 구축하여 시험운영 중에 있다.

한국군 교육기관 도서관의 특징에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Characteristics of Military Educational Institutions Libraries in Korea)

  • This paper examines the characteristics of 23 libraries affiliated with educational institutions of the Korean miltary. Materials and data used in this analysis were obtained from a variety of statute books, Korean Library Association publications, past works in military-related research, questionnaires and interviews with library staff. For each military educational institutions, the background to its foundation and Its current operations are briefly reviewed. Library characteristics subjected to analysis pertain to the following 8 areas: location and architecture, stack arrangement, furniture and furnishings, personnel, service elements, budget, book stock, and extent of computerization. The affiliated library (consisting of reading rooms and/or stack rooms) is then classified as belonging to one of the following three levels: graduate-school level (total of 4 libraries), university level (5 libraries), and technical-school level (14 libraries). When necessary. particular libraries are examined in detail. This research reveals that while most graduate-school and university level libraries are being operated on a relatively sound basis, there are significant disparities among university level libraries. As for technical-school level libraries, the lack of professional staff and service elements for users is seriously impairing their operations. In order to address these problems and support military education and research in the age of segyehwa and information, it is suggested that the Korean military formulate comprehensive measures to modernize library facilities and improve their operations.

다문화 교육과정에 관한 대학생 인식 (College Students' Understanding of a Multicultural Curriculum)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the understanding of a multicultural education curriculum(educational goals, contents, methodology, subjects, problems, and revitalization) by college students and its process, to provide base materials to be used in revitalizing an efficient multicultural education. The subjects were 750 college students located in Jeonbuk province. In this statistical analysis, SPSS 12.0 program was used to conduct frequency analysis, credibility analysis, $X^2$ test, t-test, one-way ANOVA, and Duncan' multiple comparison. For the educational goals of multicultural education, most people responded it was "to positively experience cultural diversity and commonality." As for methodology, the paper found that there were two elements, namely, consolidation form and specific form; there were no differences between responses given by different genders, but differences were observed among different grade levels and majors. Looking at the content of multicultural education, emphasis was given to the equality of different cultures. Multicultural education was taught most frequently in Home Economics Education. In conclusion, by focusing on university students, the paper looked at the awareness of multicultural the necessity of multicultural education, and the awareness of the multicultural education process. Above all, in terms of home economics education, there must be more systematic studies on school field education and related educational programs in order to revitalize multicultural education.

유치원의 실외 놀이 시설과 설비 실태에 대한 평가 분석 (An Analysis on the Actual Conditions of Kindergarten Outdoor facilities in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the actual conditions of kindergarten outdoor facilities in Korea, based on their establishment types and their located areas. The subjects for the survey were 6,819 kindergartens, and the subjects for sample-depth survey were the 10% of the total group, The study was conducted with an online survey and an on-the-spot survey, Spss 12.0 was used for statistics analysis, Most outdoor facilities of kindergartens in Korea consisted of playgrounds with soil or sand and complex playing equipments, The rate of Kindergartens' owning and utilizing their educational equipments was high. The educational utility of kindergarten outdoor facilities was high, too, but the needs of public kindergartens and that of private kindergartens were different. The 3% of private kindergartens had playgrounds on the roof, so they needed to be inspected periodically by the authorities. The kindergartens attached to the primary schools needed independent playgrounds of primary schools, Most kindergartens are required to explore diverse paving materials of their playgrounds and to develop outdoor equipments for childrens' creative playing.

초등학교 교실의 음환경 평가에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Research on the Room Acoustical Environment of the Elementary School Classrooms)

  • Since 1990s in Korea, elementary school classrooms have been designed toward open education system in pursuit of variety of educational purpose. Also, the architectural designs of schools have been acomplished for individual school not based on the standard design code. The present paper aims to investigate the acoustic environment of existing classrooms and to compare the sound insulation capacity between the ordinary classrooms and the newly built classrooms for open education. The current acoustical situation of elementary classrooms was analyzed using field measurements and questionnaire survey. In order to this, Three elementary schools were selected which were built in 1978, 1996 and 2000 respectively. Room acoustical parameters including Reverberation time(RT), Definition(D50), Speech Intelligibility(RASTI), Transmission loss(TL) and STC were measured in a classroom in each elementary school classroom. Each measurement was undertaken with the windows and doors being open or closed. As the result, it was found that the transmission loss between rooms in open classrooms is, $5{\sim}6dB$ in average, inferior than the ordinary classrooms. The RASTI of 0.70 was measured in newly built classrooms which is better than old classrooms(0.70) and open classrooms(0.73). This was shown as same in the speech definition measurements. This results from the condition of sealing and airtightness of classrooms and floor materials. The results denote that open classrooms have poor acoustic condition in sound insulation and speech intelligibility.

  • 학교들의 특색있는 교육활동이나, 교수 학습자료들이 다른 학교 홈페이지와의 연계기능이 없어 많은 자료들이 묻혀버리고 있는 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구는 유비쿼터스 환경에서 각 학교의 다양한 교육활동들을 효과적으로 홍보하고, 화상통신을 통해 소속되어 있는 학생들 간의 교육적 정보교류와 의사소통기능을 강화시켜 지역교육청의 교육정책수행 및 교육발전에 이바지할 수 있는 적응력있는 화상커뮤니티를 설계하였다. 제안된 시스템을 통해 각 학교간에 이루어지고있는 교육활동을 실시간으로 알 수 있어 교육발전을 도모할 수 있으리라 기대한다.

가정전문간호사의 환자·가족교육 수행정도와 저해요인 (Performance and Impediments to Patient and Family Education among Home Health Care Nurses)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to provide basic data necessary to develop education programs and educational services for home care by investigating the degree of patient and family education among home health care nurses. Methods: Data collection was carried out with 145 people from 47 institutions that agreed to participate in the research. A total of 128 questionnaires were received, of which 122 were analyzed. Data were analyzed using SPSS 12.0. Results: The item on which education was most frequently delivered was intravenous injection speed control (66.4%), whereas the item requiring the longest teaching period was pressure ulcer care. The average degree of impediment perceived by home care nurses was 2.82 out of 5. Conclusion: Medical institutions should develop educational materials and programs that reflect the characteristics and degree of home health care needed. Repeated research, including that by medical institutions, on the degree and impeding factors related to patient and family education performance of home health care nurses should be conducted. Moreover, medical institutions should investigate the nursing and educational needs of patients and families who received home health care service.

공학계열 대학생들의 교과목 성적과 K-CESA 핵심역량의 관계 분석 (The Relationship between Course Grades and the K-CESA Core Competencies for Engineering Students)

  • With the emphasis on core competencies, the University of Seoul has exerted efforts to reflect the importance of core competencies in university curricula. The main assessment tool used in Korea is the Korea Collegiate Essential Skills Assessment (K-CESA), developed by the Korea Research Institute for Vocational Education and Training (KRIVET). This study examined whether core competencies measured using K-CESA are valid as a tool for assessing educational achievements among college students, and analyzed the correlation between K-CESA scores and course grades. The analysis was performed on approximately 204 engineering students at the University of Seoul. According to the correlation analysis between core competencies and courses, MSC courses were shown to be related to the resource and through information use competency and higher order thinking competency. Through the Analysis of Variance, students in the accreditation programs and students living in urban area showed higher competency scores. In the multiple regression, it was shown that Accreditation and MSC courses grades were the important variables to predict the competency of the students. Based on these findings, we confirmed that the K-CESA tool has a certain level of correlation with academic performance and that it functions as one of several ways to evaluate the program outcomes of engineering education accreditation.

  • This paper presents the development of standardized modules and an integrated program which will be used for social environmental education. The study objectives are to develop modules which are based on various environmental topics, to relate the regional environmental topics to the educational modules and program, and to include the demand of students in the modules and program. Literature and questionary surveys, as well as, module development method were utilized as research tools. The titles of developed modules are “The Green Planet Earth, “Unexpected Resources: Save Resources and Recycle”, “Water as the Mother of All Lives”, “The Blue Sky with Clean Air”, and “Soil as the Home of All Living and Non-living Things”. It is hoped that the developed modules and program are utilized as course materials and curriculum for social environmental education in various educational institutes. The study results will be materialized as multimedia in near future.
