초등학교(初等學校) 교사(校舍) 평면유형(平面類型) 및 면적(面積)의 현황(現況)에 관한 연구(硏究) - 평면도(平面圖)의 분석(分析)을 통해 - (A Study on the Status of Plan Type and Area at Elementary School Facilities - by Analyzing Architectural Plans -)

  • This paper presents results from analysis of architectural plan drawings of 355 elementary schools recently designed for 4 years. Theses plans are analyzed by factors such as local distribution, number of classes, type of plan, total construction area, area per a class, area per a student, and area status of each space. The purpose of this study is to provide fundamental resources for architectural designing and planning of elementary schools through finding trend and status of elementary school buildings that have no detailed data of area index. The results of this study are as follows: 1. As a result from analyzing number of classes in the surveyed schools, schools having 36 classes are dominant and schools having 72 classes are also shown. Average number of classes is 34.1. This result reflect s that elementary schools have been planned as large-scale schools. 2. In terms of type of plan, we found out that instead of disappearing traditional single corridor type building, the open school building that have multi-purpose spaces are mainly designed. In addition to that, there are few schools with large class rooms. 3. In the status of area of each school, they have much larger areas than areas provided by building guidelines. Secondly, there are some schools with two times area difference even though they have same class number. Therefore, it needs to adjust the school building guidelines to practical needs in the consideration of elementary school building for compulsory education. Though the plans of recently designed school for 4 year s are more differentiated than past, there are few schools planned by appropriate plan design and area distribution scheme. As a consequence, some improvements like improvement of building guidelines are desperate.

국내 수도권 대학캠퍼스 확장을 위한 전략 연구 - 확장전략의 유형적 특징을 중심으로 - (A Study on Strategy for College Campus Expansion in Seoul Metropolitan Area - Focused on Typological Characteristics of Expansion Strategies -)

  • Historically, college campuses have played a role of a city, and the development pattern of various forms and functions of cities was found in the growth stages of campuses as well. In this way, campuses developed in close relationships with our lives and such a characteristic can be confirmed in a number of cases in and out of the country. The strategic concept of such expansion is shown in the strategic classification through a master plan. This research examines concepts of major universities in the metropolitan area of Korea for promoting campus expansion and proposes implications through them. The results drawn from the research are as follows. Firstly, various developmental directions should be sought in aspects of planning, programming and economics for campus expansion with the complex application of such factors. Secondly, the multi-campus strategy of past localization era is changing into the concept of forming a global campus materializing itself as the planning strategy of internal campus. Thirdly, the physical barrier is being dissolved as a way to promote the relationship with local communities, and particularly, the management strategy of constructing new buildings in connection with local communities is the leading measure of materialization. Lastly, the development of underground space is actively carried out due to the limitation of ground physical space through which a role of establishing new campus order along with securing space is pursued.

공간구문론을 이용한 대학교 캠퍼스 코어의 공간구조 유형 및 특성 분석 (A Study on the Analysis of the Configuration and Properties of University Campus Cores through Space Syntax)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the configuration and properties of university campus cores for systematic approach and planning through space syntax based on master plans of 55 universities in Korea. The results of this study showed that: first, the campus cores were classified into 10 types through axial map analysis. They were '一 type', '二 type', 'ㄱ type', 'T type', '+ type', 'radiation type', 'grid type', 'polygon type', 'tree structure type' and 'combination type'.(table 7) The frequency of '一 type' was the highest by 27.2%, and 'radiation type' was the next by 14.5%; second, the integration value was 2.03(+ type), te90(grid type), te75(ㄱ type), te74(一 type), te67(二 type), te63(T type), te46(polygon type), te347(tree structure type) and te343(radiation type).(table 9) We could categorize the 'radiation type' and the 'tree structure type' as the first group, the 'polygon type' as the second group, the 'T type', the '二 type', the '一 type', and the 'ㄱ type' as the third group, the 'grid type' as the fourth group, the '+ type' as the fifth group; third, cases that the integration value of access road was very low(58.2%) was much more frequent than that of very high(32.7%); fourth, the most important space in the campus core were as follows: library and media center(18.1%), administration buildings and headquarters(15.7%), student center(15.7%), lecturing building(13.9%), streets and squares(13.3%).

대학교 여학생 기숙사 거주환경 만족도 평가에 관한 연구 (Analysis of the Post Occupancy Evaluation of the Living Conditions in the University Dormitory for Women)

  • Post Occupancy Evaluation(POE) has a good role to improve or adapt the design items through the survey or interview of the resident. Among buildings, the university dormitory provides the living function to support the study in the university. Therefore, it needs to find the design elements and improve the living and study condition for residents. In this paper. it aimed at conducting the POE in university women dormitory for women and providing the building and design items for the next improvement. In addition, it aimed at analyzing the relation between the building satisfaction and the affecting factors, dividing the building into 8 spatial area such as room, entrance area, toilet and etc.. For these, data are surveyed the women dormitory located in the north area of Kyungsangbuk-Do and collected the 683 samples. This study shows some results ; First, the resident evaluates living condition of the dormitory room is a little good. Second, the freshman has a good score more than any other grade, which probably affect the period of the experience and exposure in university. In addition, residents get affect from the finishings, furniture and inconvenience. Third, the resident evaluates living condition of the dormitory room is a little good. Fourth, the satisfaction degree is affected by each size more than any other components in 8 spatial areas. Especially, the number of laundry machine is important factor for satisfaction. Second, the overall satisfaction is affected by room size higher than any other factors.

GIS기반 학생배치·학교설립시스템 개선방안 연구 (A Study on the improvement to GIS based Student Placement & School Establishment support System)

  • The recent decline in the school-age population has led to a more conservative and conservative approach to the establishment of schools. In the judgment of school establishment, it is required to make a decision method that can make objective and comprehensive judgment of various situations rather than local analysis of a single school. In this changing situation, EduFine system and placement establishment system were introduced to comprehensively analyze the feasibility of student placement and school establishment. However, the EduFine system of the Ministry of Education has few users because it is difficult to use education and it is difficult for users to use. Based on the GIS, the placement establishment system was able to analyze the number of students and the status of apartment buildings in a comprehensive manner. But placement establishment system has been used mainly in support of investment assessment rather than research. Therefore, there is a need to increase the utilization of users by linking two systems or integrating them into one system. In this study, we want to derive the functions to improve the GIS - based layout establishment system through user analysis such as comparative analysis and survey of existing systems. In particular, the purpose of the study is to improve the function of system, to improve the students' placement ability and the school establishment work ability and to improve the user satisfaction.

GIS를 활용한 도시개발과 기반시설의 합리적 연계 (Linking Urban Development Density with Infrastructure Capacity)

  • 도시성장관리는 도시개발의 위치와 시기를 조절하여 도시의 지속가능한 개발을 지향하는 정책이다. 도시기반시설은 도시성장관리의 핵심관리대상으로써 미국의 경우 대표적으로 도시서비스구역(urban service boundary), 공공시설의 충분성 및 동시성 프로그램 등을 통하여 관리되고 있다. 우리나라도 기반시설의 관리를 위하여 밀도관리구역과 기반시설부담구역 제도를 도입한 바 있다. 그러나 현실적으로 도시기반시설은 그 중요성에도 불구하고 기반시설용량에 대한 종합적인 분석없이 도시개발이 진행되고 있다. 이에 본 연구는 GIS를 이용하여 기반시설의 용량을 분석하고 그 결과를 바탕으로 기반시설용량 지도를 작성하여 이를 다시 주상복합아파트 개발과 연계함으로써 도시성장관리 측면의 적용 가능성을 검정하고자 한다. 본 연구에서 도로와 초등학교를 대표적인 기반시설로 선정하고 기반시설용량 지표로서 도로율과 초등학교 학급당인원수를 적용하여 분석하였다. 이 계산결과를 관련 법령에서 정하거나 권장하고 있는 수준의 용량과 비교하였다. 분석결과, 도로율은 외곽지역과 도심, 도심과 인접한 지역에서 높게 나왔고, 반면, 소규모 공장이 입지한 공업지역, 공원, 공항, 군사시설 등이 있는 지역에서 낮게 나왔다. 초등학교 수용용량은 전반적으로 양호하였으며 그중 농촌지역, 도심과 기성시가지 지역은 용량이 충분하였고 반면, 주택밀도가 높은 아파트 지역은 부족한 것으로 분석됐다. 기반시설용량과 주상복합아파트개발 입지를 중첩하여 분석한 결과, 대구광역시의 경우 대부분의 주상복합아파트가 기반시설용량의 여유가 있는 지역에 입지하여 과밀개발의 가능성이 낮았으며, 인구측면에서도 인구감소지역에 개발되어 어느 정도의 인구유입의 효과를 기대할 수 있다.

옥상녹화지의 생태적 효과와 이용 효과의 상관성 (Relationships Between Ecological and Utilizational Effectiveness of Green Roof Sites)

  • Roof greening recently emerged to be an important issue of environmental policies in a city. To cover roofs of buildings with green vegetation gives chances not only to improve urban environmental function but also provides the opportunities of environmental learning and convenience for users in the building. This study aimed to give directions for roof greening plan to designers by acknowledging the relationships between ecological and utilizational effectiveness. 10 sites and 15 variables were adopted to measure the relationships. As a result, no positive correlations was found between them. One of the results in correlation analysis among variables, however, showed that the roof gardens have high utilizational effectiveness only when a green roof was made by focusing on ecological functions in addition to the concepts that will guarantee user's convenience such as accessibility, entrance and exit, facilities for convenience and learning. The results implies that a green roof has to be designed considering multi-functional effects. Correlation between species of vegetation and the number of daily users, average staying hours, and attending level for environment educational programs were not significant. These findings imply that when a green roof has to be take high utilizational effectiveness, both plentiful vegetation species and design concepts for users' convenience are should be considered.

Symbiotic Framework for Campus Core and Modern Expansion A Case Study of Princeton University Campus, Princeton USA

  • Campus core is an essential element in a university's physical environment for symbolic importance of high educational philosophy as well as hierarchical significance of campus structure. Yet, as modern expansion develops into and out of campus core, a challenging design and planning problem for a growing university is how to integrate a new development into the existing core structure and how to expand the fast-growing development beyond the core while maintaining a symbiotic harmony between the campus core and the modern expansion. Such challenge addresses four design frameworks for symbiotic development of the campus core and the modern expansion: (1) building grouping with territorial proximity; (2) building design rules for form and texture; (3) open space network with pedestrian walkway; (4) use-programming for on-campus student community. This study aims to explore these issues with in-depth case study of the Princeton University campus in Princeton, New Jersey in the United States. The study concludes that the Princeton campus is a result from successful synthesis of all the complex design elements, especially in relationship between the old and the new; and adds further that the development of a modern university campus requires a comprehensive plan that takes into account the older buildings when conceiving the new in symbiotic relationship along with open space network as well as functional program distribution.

한국 전쟁 군사유적의 보호 및 활용에 관한 연구 - 중부접경지역(연천군, 철원군, 화천군)을 중심으로 - (Protection and Utilization of Military Remains during the Korean War - Focused on the Central Border of DMZ(Yeoncheon, Cheorwon, and Hwacheon-gun) -)

  • This study is to research the military remains of Korean War(1950~53) focused on Yeonchen, Cheorwon, and Hwacheon-gun in the central border of DMZ. The Yeoncheon-gun is installing 'Yeolsoe' and 'Taepung' observatory in the frontline battlefield adjacent to Southern Limit Line(SLL), and not only protects many military remains including war memorial and crematory facilities of UN troops, but also utilizes them as active educational places. The Cheorwon-gun is actively making known 'Baengmagoji memorial, 'Labor party office' and other buildings adjacent to 'Tourist security DMZ', but needs to set up many monuments around battlefields of 'Gimhwa' and 'Daeseongsan' adjacent to 'Eco-peace park DMZ'. With the battlefield of 'Paroho' as the center, which our troops made brilliant military gains during the war, the Hwacheon-gun protects and informs military remains such as '643 and 490 battlefields', 'Kkeomeok and Guman bridge'. Developing a network for military remains in connection with the annual local festivals, the experience tour and security will be available at these places.

제주도 거주 노인의 고령친화도시에 관한 인식 조사 - 도시 vs 농촌 - (Seniors Perception on Age-Friendly Aspects in Jeju Island, South Korea - Urban vs Rural -)

  • The purpose of this study was to compare urban and rural seniors' perceptions on the eight aspects of the World Health Organization Age-Friendly Cities (AFC) initiative on Jeju Island, South Korea. Face-to-face interviews using structured questionnaires were administered to 497 persons aged 65+ living on Jeju Island. Findings suggested that urban and rural held significantly different perceptions on five aspects of AFC (outdoor space and buildings, housing, civic participation and employment, community support and health services, and respect and social inclusion). Predictors of overall AFC score for all participants included age and living in a single-family home. Among urban dwellers, monthly household income and length of residence predicted AFC score while among rural seniors, predictors of AFC included educational attainment. To make communities more age-friendly, perspectives of older residents should be sought, shared, and reflected in policy and different strategies and priorities should be developed specific to urban and rural areas.
