The Saudi Arabian Special Education Regulations define the role and requirements from teaching assistants within the educational process. Although all public special education programs are subject to such regulations, their implementation in practice sometimes appears contradictory. Therefore, special educators frequently encounter a range of problems when they fail to comply with such regulations. This article discusses how teaching assistants influence the teaching practices delivered to students with disabilities in special education settings. A qualitative case study approach was conducted using 22 semi-structured interviews. The results suggest a need to focus on the role of the teaching assistant in special education classes to ensure exposure to effective learning practices for students with disabilities. Based on these findings, a number of important implications for future practice, in terms adopting appropriate provisions are suggested.

The article considers the state and trends of distance learning in the world and Ukraine, identifies the main species differences between distance education and other forms of education, analyzes the state of the global market for educational services provided via the Internet. Important features and characteristics of distance learning, examples of its organization in higher education, as well as statistics on the development of distance learning in our country. The main problematic points on the way to the implementation of the distance education system in Ukraine and the factors that hinder the development of this promising form of education are outlined.

As the direction of education in the fourth industry in the 21st century, convergence talent education that emphasizes the connection and convergence between core competency-based education and academia is emerging to foster creative talent. The purpose of this paper is to present the criteria for evaluating the competency of learning outcomes in order to develop a strategic model for innovation in engineering teaching-learning. In this paper, as a study to establish the direction of implementation of convergence talent education, a creative innovation teaching method support system was established to improve the quality of convergence talent education. Firstly, a plan to develop a teaching-learning model based on computing thinking. Secondly, it presented the development of a teaching-learning model based on linkage and convergence learning. Thirdly, we would like to present educational appropriateness and ease based on convergence learning in connection with curriculum improvement strategies based on computing thinking skills. Finally, we would like to present a strategic model development plan for innovation in engineering teaching-learning that applies the convergence talent education program.

Purpose: This study aimed to develop a case-based nursing education program using generative artificial intelligence and to assess its usability and applicability in nursing curriculums. Methods: The program was developed by following the five steps of the ADDIE model: analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. A panel of five nursing professors served as experts to implement and evaluate the program. Results: Utilizing ChatGPT, six program modules were designed and developed based on experiential learning theory. The experts' evaluations confirmed that the program was suitable for case-based learning, highly usable, and applicable to nursing education. Conclusion: Generative artificial intelligence was identified as a valuable tool for enhancing the effectiveness of case-based learning. This study provides insights and future directions for integrating generative artificial intelligence into nursing education. Further research should be attempted to implement and evaluate this program with nursing students.

Health systems science is a new medical educational field added to the traditional medical education curricula of basic and clinical sciences. Health systems science emphasizes a more comprehensive approach utilizing systems thinking to care for patients, including interactions between multiple healthcare systems. In this review, I explore how health systems science education can be applied when medical instructors teach students in clinical clerkships through representative case studies. This study first looks at examples of health systems science education in clinical clerkship in the United States and suggests how to develop the curriculum of health systems science for clinical learning environments in Korea by combining Kotter's 8-step change management model and Kern's 6-step curriculum development model. Finally, based on practical examples from actual clinical practice education situations, suggestions are made regarding how to develop the entire educational program of a medical school from the stage of applying health systems science at the individual level to clinical practice education.

This paper presents a design and implementation of cyber-school system using object modeling technique and web groupware. The system design method based on object modeling techniques reduce cyber-school construction effort and cost with reusing of modules. The system is a kind of web group application based on WWW that allow members who located on remote computer to do cooperative learning and to communicate with other students and teachers independent of time and location. In this system we use Linux operating system for efficient development on real education field. and we can reduce cyber-school development effort arid cost With this system.

As propagation of mobile smart devices is widespread, it is an observable trend that the cases of utilizing them are increasing in the school programs, and it is also anticipated that they will be very important part of the educational equipment in near future. For this reason the department of education and science technology has announced a medium and long term project on the education with smart device, which is undergoing the preparation stage, and the various academic and industrial institutes have actively produced the related research results and the application prototypes. In this paper we propose a framework on design and implementation of a visual context recognition system for educational purpose usable in the school program by utilizing a module for recognition of the texts embedded in the image captured by video camera from mobile smart device. The system proposed in this paper is consisted of the four modules, such as, image acquisition, image processing, information extraction, and knowledge representation, which are explained in details with the practical examples.

The necessity of embracing selective courses in medical curriculum is increasing due to the expansion of medical knowledge and changes in the health care environment. In contrast to the abundant evidence regarding elective or selective courses during the clinical phase, articles focusing on the preclinical period are relatively scarce. This study aims to explore the development, implementation, and evaluation of newly-adopted selective courses in the first-year medical curriculum in a medical school which recently underwent a major curricular revision. First of all, the Curriculum Committee established goals and operating principles of the courses, and then the committee encouraged all participating professors to attend a related faculty development workshop after finalizing the list of courses. A survey was conducted at the end of each course for evaluation. Of the 36 courses opened in 2016, the overall satisfaction of students was $4.98{\pm}1.06$ (out of 6) and showed a strong correlation with students' previous expectations, reasoning- and participation-oriented teaching, and outcome of the courses including increased motivation. In the open-ended responses, students and professors described not only intended outcomes such as acquisition of medical knowledge and increased interest in new topics, but also unintended outcomes including positive impression for selective courses and even high satisfaction and rewarding experiences, especially from the teachers' perspective. Although long-term outcomes remain to be seen, the results of this study show the feasibility and impact of selective courses and will contribute to effective implementation in other medical schools.

The interest in cyber counseling services has been increased recently by needs and merits of cyber counseling service found through various related studies. A cyber counseling service system has not only merits but also demerits such as anonymous one-off access and difficulties of forming relations. In this study, a cyber counseling service system using class homepage was developed and implemented in order to investigate counseling methods that can enhance merits and supplement demerits of cyber counseling services. As a result, it was found that the implementation of a cyber counseling service system using class homepage can fill counseling needs of students, teachers and parents by providing various counseling methods and inducing active interaction using the site-on function. Interesting menu on class homepage was effective to lead students and parents to visit the cyber counseling room, and they prefered the secret board and counseling cases to e-mail counseling. Prior acquisition of information about students and the environment allowing teachers to continuously observe students improved counseling effects and solved problems of existing counseling services.
