  • Industry-University cooperation for pioneering overseas market contributes to improve the quality of manpower and the export performance. However, performance is showing that without exporting experience, exploring overseas market is not promising. Without systematic training and preparation, pioneering overseas market can be a waste of time and budget. I have conducted interviews with 30 participants in Industry-University cooperation for pioneering overseas market. As a result, I have derived a model for each phase of Industry-University cooperation. 8 stages of this model are student selection, cooperation company networking, student education, overseas market research, selection of trade fair, preparation of trade fair, dispatch of trade fair and follow-up management. Opinions of experts have been reflected and compiled to each suggested stage. Specific details can be applied directly to those affiliated who want to start the first or foremost pioneering overseas markets.

  • This study aims to provide implications for Korea's efficient application policies for closed schools by identifying the current status of how closed schools are revitalized in Japan and their supportive measures. In Japan, a total of 2,215 schools have closed from 1992 to 2001, and 8,580 schools from 2002 to 2020, with 10,709 closures occurring from 1992 to 2020. The average number is about 369 per year. In terms of the overall trend, the number of closed schools have been put into use and the numbers have increased from 70% in 2013 to 74% in 2020. To summarize the characteristics of the use, first, there is a complex phenomenon in which the use of closed schools are becoming more diverse. Second, closed schools are most often revitalized as educational facilities for residents, followed by social sports facilities, social education facilities and cultural facilities. Third, the use of closed schools in the industries are increasing as they are used as "corporal facilities and start-up support facilities". In order to promote the use of closed schools, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan promoted the simplification and elasticity of property disposal procedures in 2008. Since 2010, the disclosure of information on closed facilities and matching service between providers and users have been unified through the "Let's Connect to the Future ~ Closed School for All" project. The Cabinet Office including the four offices, and five central governments are advocating the use of closed schools by promoting subsidy support projects.

  • The years from 1895 to 1915 marked an important period in Korean because it was the start of modern education during which a new school system was developed. In particular, the Government made laws and rules concerning the use of textbooks in schools. In this research information about books in use in schools was obtained from the {School Textbook List} which was drawn up during this period. Science textbooks printed in Korea from 1895 to 1915 were control1ed in their use by the Ministry of Education and the Government General of Chosen. They used the Private School Ordinance, Regulations for Official Examination of Textbooks in 1908, and Law of Publication in 1909 as the main means of controlling textbooks. The official examination of textbooks under the Japanese rule of Korea resulted in an increasing number of science textbooks being banned. While science textbooks had enjoyed more freedom from control by the Government General of Chosen than other textbooks, the situation changed significantly as Japan to intensify the control of all kinds of textbooks in Korea.

  • In distance learning, quality of service is an important part of improving customer satisfaction and customer loyalty. However, in verifying the effectiveness of remote education service quality, it has been researched based on fragmentary effects on remote education service quality, and the effect study on the specific target is insufficient. In this study, the effects of remote education service factors on customer satisfaction and customer loyalty were analyzed in the previous study and among job seekers. The survey was conducted from March 2019 and 258 samples of job seekers who experienced remote education were used for empirical analysis. As a result of the analysis, typology, problem solving, interaction, information serviceability, and convenience had a positive effect on customer satisfaction, and satisfaction had a significant influence on customer loyalty. In addition, it was analyzed that characterization, problem-solving, interaction, information serviceability, convenience and customer loyalty were affected in the verification of the mediated effects of satisfaction. In response, the implications of this study were derived from practical research on customer satisfaction and loyalty of educational companies related to eduTech, where education and ICT (Information Communication Technology) were integrated during the 4th Industrial Revolution, which suggested that the quality of a company's remote education service affected customer satisfaction and customer loyalty to entrepreneurs and marketers in the education company's start-up and marketing process. Further, further research will be needed in other areas as well as in the areas of employment education to verify the importance of service quality and assess the various effects.

  • Entrepreneurship education has been emphasized worldwide and the number of universities that open related subjects have been increasing. K University, located in Gyeonggi-do, was selected as one of the leading universities in entrepreneurship in 2014, and has continued to grow quantitatively by providing support and education related to entrepreneurship on and off campus. In addition, major issues in entrepreneurship education were derived by conducting written or face-to-face interviews and advisory meetings with instructors, field experts, and education demanders for environmental analysis. Based on this, three major tracks(venture start-up, entrepreneurship convergence, and social venture activation) were derived, and major competency and learning goals for each track were presented. On the other hand, in order for this study to be more effectively accepted, it is necessary to present the objectives of each track, the capabilities pursued, and the courses that help students' progress. Therefore, in the future research, it is necessary to design and present the goals for each track, the curriculum road map, and the detailed curriculum of the convergence major, and at the same time, research to match the appropriate teaching method for each newly opened subject will be required to increase educational effectiveness.

  • This paper studies how the nature of educational programs run by public art museums in South Korea have been influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as to what extent the pandemic has caused operational problems for these museums. It, in effect, unveils the new museum culture of the COVID-19 era. It finds that the number of educational programs at the eight museums in Korea selected for this study has decreased 34% since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. The number of online educational programs, educational brochures and art kits at six of the museums has also increased by 70% compared to before the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, 'untact' programs thought up and created by artists have been gradually developing at certain art museums in South Korea, while VR/AR educational programs have been developing at museums in the Seoul Metropolitan Area. As such, this study reveals the changing characteristics of museum educational programs and the new museum educational culture in the COVID-19 era with the hope of opening up discussion about the future direction these programs will take.

  • Compiler development projects, which are designed and taught in compiler course, allow students to practice and absorb valuable amount of experience and techniques in developing compilers. However, both instructors and students face difficulties as they are often limited by insufficient hands-on time during course of an academic year along with a relatively high level of technologies involved when dealing with compilers. As well, most compiler's target systems use interpreter-based technologies which are rather limited in drawing student's attention. As a result compiler courses often end up being more of a theoretical course than practical. This paper presents a new integrated development environment (IDE) that will help overcome aforementioned difficulties and allow students to obtain both theoretical and practical knowledge more efficiently. The development environment includes a reference compiler with $Mindstorms^{(R)}$ NXT Robots as the target system, compiler development tool, target language test tool, and code generation visualizer. It is developed as a plug-in for the popular Eclipse IDE which enables easy access and great expandability. This integrated development environment allows students to understand compilers better and start their development faster.

  • This study was conducted to find out basic facts on educational resources in Korea and see how educators have managed their tasks without educational resource archives. The research had the following steps: 1) finding out how the current state of primary and secondary education resources is managed and type of educational resources via Web search and literature review, 2) conducting a survey to determine archiving priorities according to the value of resources to the users, and 3) engaging in a discussion with experts on merits of establishing an educational resource archive system. Due to sporadic management and restricted use of educational resources produced in Korea, the primary and secondary education resources are not easily available to the public even though the public and private sectors produce significant amount of resources. The survey result on preferred educational resource types for archiving showed the following top three: 1) actual case studies conducted in the field, 2) curriculum related resources, and 3) various textbooks adopted. Considering the value of educational resources and the necessity of archiving agencies, the experts recommended to set up a national archiving system of educational resources. This study hopes to raise awareness of the need to set up educational resource archives as a start.

  • Objective: This study aims to measure cognitive load levels by analyzing the EEG of Koreans and foreigners, when they read a Korean text with care selected by level from the grammar and vocabulary aspects, and compare the cognitive load levels through quantitative values. The study results can be utilized as basic data for more scientific approach, when Korean texts or books are developed, and an evaluation method is built, when the foreigners encounter them for learning or an assignment. Background: Based on 2014, the number of the foreign students studying in Korea was 84,801, and they increase annually. Most of them are from Asian region, and they come to Korea to enter a university or a graduate school in Korea. Because those foreign students aim to learn within Universities in Korea, they receive Korean education from their preparation for study in Korea. To enter a university in Korea, they must acquire grade 4 or higher level in the Test of Proficiency in Korean (TOPIK), or they need to complete a certain educational program at each university's affiliated language institution. In such a program, the learners of the Korean language receive Korean education based on texts, except speaking domain, and the comprehension of texts can determine their academic achievements in studying after they enter their desired schools (Jeon, 2004). However, many foreigners, who finish a language course for the short-term, and need to start university study, cannot properly catch up with university classes requiring expertise with the vocabulary and grammar levels learned during the language course. Therefore, reading education, centered on a strategy to understand university textbooks regarded as top level reading texts to the foreigners, is necessary (Kim and Shin, 2015). This study carried out an experiment from a perspective that quantitative data on the readers of the main player of reading education and teaching materials need to be secured to back up the need for reading education for university study learners, and scientifically approach educational design. Namely, this study grasped the difficulty level of reading through the measurement of cognitive loads indicated in the reading activity of each text by dividing the difficulty of a teaching material (book) into eight levels, and the main player of reading into Koreans and foreigners. Method: To identify cognitive loads indicated upon reading Korean texts with care by Koreans and foreigners, this study recruited 16 participants (eight Koreans and eight foreigners). The foreigners were limited to the language course students studying the intermediate level Korean course at university-affiliated language institutions within Seoul Metropolitan Area. To identify cognitive load, as they read a text by level selected from the Korean books (difficulty: eight levels) published by King Sejong Institute (Sejonghakdang.org), the EEG sensor was attached to the frontal love (Fz) and occipital lobe (Oz). After the experiment, this study carried out a questionnaire survey to measure subjective evaluation, and identified the comprehension and difficulty on grammar and words. To find out the effects on schema that may affect text comprehension, this study controlled the Korean texts, and measured EEG and subjective satisfaction. Results: To identify brain's cognitive load, beta band was extracted. As a result, interactions (Fz: p =0.48; Oz: p =0.00) were revealed according to Koreans and foreigners, and difficulty of the text. The cognitive loads of Koreans, the readers whose mother tongue is Korean, were lower in reading Korean texts than those of the foreigners, and the foreigners' cognitive loads became higher gradually according to the difficulty of the texts. From the text four, which is intermediate level in difficulty, remarkable differences started to appear in comparison of the Koreans and foreigners in the beginner's level text. In the subjective evaluation, interactions were revealed according to the Koreans and foreigners and text difficulty (p =0.00), and satisfaction was lower, as the difficulty of the text became higher. Conclusion: When there was background knowledge in reading, namely schema was formed, the comprehension and satisfaction of the texts were higher, although higher levels of vocabulary and grammar were included in the texts than those of the readers. In the case of a text in which the difficulty of grammar was felt high in the subjective evaluation, foreigners' cognitive loads were also high, which shows the result of the loads' going up higher in proportion to the increase of difficulty. This means that the grammar factor functions as a stress factor to the foreigners' reading comprehension. Application: This study quantitatively evaluated the cognitive loads of Koreans and foreigners through EEG, based on readers and the text difficulty, when they read Korean texts. The results of this study can be used for making Korean teaching materials or Korean education content and topic selection for foreigners. If research scope is expanded to reading process using an eye-tracker, the reading education program and evaluation method for foreigners can be developed on the basis of quantitative values.
