Hydrogen Evolution Ability of Selected Pure Metals and Galvanic Corrosion Behavior between the Metals and Magnesium

  • The cathodic hydrogen evolution ability of different pure metals and their long term galvanic corrosion behavior with pure Mg were investigated. The hydrogen evolution ability of pure Ti, Al, Sn and Zr is weak, while that of Fe, W, Cr, and Co is very strong. Initial polarization test could not completely reveal the cathodic behavior of the tested metals during long term corrosion. The cathodic hydrogen evolution ability may vary significantly in the long term galvanic tests for different metals, especially for Al whose cathodic current density reduced to 1/50 of the initial value. The anodic polarization shows that Al and Sn as alloying elements are supposed to provide relatively good passive effect for Mg alloy, while Ag can provide a slight passive effect and Zn has little passive effect.

현대미술 감상을 통한 환경교육 효과 연구 (The Effects of Environmental Education through Modern Art Appreciation)

  • 본 논문은 현대미술 감상을 통한 환경교육이 유아의 환경보전지식, 환경보전태도 및 미술 감상능력에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 경기도 평택에 위치한 D어린이집의 만5세 유아 총 30명(실험집단 15명, 비교집단15명)을 대상으로 현대미술 감상을 통한 환경교육을 실시하였다. 사전검사와 사후검사의 차이를 분석한 결과, 실험집단의 환경보전지식, 환경보전태도 및 미술 감상능력에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과를 활용하여 유아교육현장에서 유아의 환경보전지식, 환경보전태도 및 미술 감상능력을 증진 할 수 있는 기초자료 및 교수방법을 제시하는 것에 그 목적이 있다.

스마트 교육을 활용한 팀 기반 문제 중심 학습의 효과: 고위험 신생아 간호를 중심으로 (Effects of Team-based Problem-based Learning Combined with Smart Education: A Focus on High-risk Newborn Care)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted to examine the effects of team-based problem-based learning combined with smart education among nursing students. Methods: A quasi-experimental non-equivalent control group, pre-posttest design was used. The experimental group (n=36) received problem-based learning combined with smart education and lectures 7 times over the course of 7 weeks (100 minutes weekly). Control group (n=34) only received instructor-centered lectures 7 times over the course of 7 weeks (100 minutes weekly). Data were analyzed using the $x^2$ test, the Fisher exact test, and the independent t-test with SPSS for Windows version 21.0. Results: After the intervention, the experimental group reported increased learning motivation (t=2.70, p=.009), problem-solving ability (t=2.25, p=.028), academic self-efficacy (t=4.76, p<.001), self-learning ability (t=2.78, p<.001), and leadership (t=2.78, p=.007) relative to the control group. Conclusion: Team-based problem-based learning combined with smart education and lectures was found to be an effective approach for increasing the learning motivation, problem-solving ability, academic self-efficacy, self-learning ability, and leadership of nursing students.

탐구형 기하소프트웨어를 활용한 추론능력 평가에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Assessment of Reasoning Ability Using Dynamic Geometry Software)

  • 본 연구는 탐구형 기하소프트웨어의 활용이 중학교 기하영역에서 추론능력의 평가에 어떻게 적용될 수 있을지, 그리고 어떤 영향을 끼칠 수 있을지에 관한 것이다. 이를 위하여 작도, 귀납적 추론, 연역적 추론이 통합되는 형태로 문항을 구성하여 5명의 학생을 대상으로 사례 연구를 실시하였고 그 결과를 학생의 작도능력, 귀납적 추론 능력, 정당화의 유형이라는 세 관점에서 분석하였다. 연구 결과 소프트웨어를 활용한 평가문항은 학생의 추론능력을 분명히 드러나게 할 수 있음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 교사는 소프트웨어의 활용을 통해 귀납추론 평가문항을 폭넓고 용이하게 만들 수 있음을 확인하였다.

간호대학생의 학습유형과 학습태도 및 자기주도적 학습능력 (Learning style, Learning attitude, and Self-directed Learning ability in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: This study was designed to explore the influencing factors on self-directed learning ability of nursing students and to investigate the relationship between learning style, learning attitude, and self-directed learning ability. Methods: The study sample was composed of 263 nursing students. Data were collected from March 8th to April 7th, 2011 using a questionnaire which included Kolb's learning style inventory, learning attitude inventory, and self-directed learning ability inventory. Results: Learning styles of the subjects were assimilator 33.8%, converger 31.9%, accommodator 24.7%, and diverger 9.5%. There was no significant difference in learning styles among grades. However, the total mean score of learning attitude (F=8.30, p<.001) and self-directed learning ability (F=2.85, p=.038) significantly differed among grades. Learning attitude positively correlated to self-directed learning ability (r=.62, p<.001). Learning attitude was the most significant predictor and accounted for 36.5% of the variance in self-directed leaning ability in nursing students. Conclusion: It is important for students to use all four learning styles rather than to rely solely on one style. There should be more emphasis placed on the development of positive learning attitude and self-directed learning ability of nursing students.

  • 우리나라 근로 시장의 개방성은 취업 대상자들의 이동성을 증가시키고 있다. 기존 연구에 따르면 우리나라 근로자의 이직률이 높은 것으로 나타나는데, 본 연구는 이러한 경향을 한국고용정보원이 제공하는 청년패널2007(YP2007)의 청년 취업대상자용 설문지를 통해 현 직장 만족도의 현황을 분석하여 보고자 하였다. 따라서 취업 대상자들의 현 직장 만족도의 특성을 인구 통계학적 측면, 직장 상황의 측면, 심신 상태의 측면, 직장 환경 만족도의 측면, 현 직업 선택 시 고려사항의 측면으로 정리하였고, 이를 통한 탄력적 시장 경제에 적합한 교육의 필요성을 바라보았다.

중학생의 공감능력이 장애학생 수용태도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Middle School Students' Empathic Ability on Receptive Attitude to Students with Disabilities)

  • This study is about the influence of middle school students' empathic ability on receptive attitude to students with disabilities. The questionnaire survey is used to measure cognitive, emotional empathy ability and the attitude of acceptance for students with disabilities targeting 300 students of middle school 2,3 grades. Empathy ability consists of 20 questions and the attitude of acceptance for students with disabilities is composed of 31 questions, which are three sub-areas like personal life, school life and learning activities. After subjects were divided into top 30%, middle 40% and bottom 30% according to their empathy ability, the attitude of acceptance for students with disabilities was measured. The results are as follows. There was a difference between groups in receptive attitude as a whole and the sub-areas. And the top group with high empathy ability had more acceptable attitude. In particular, there was a significant difference in the acceptance attitude for students with disabilities depending on the level of cognitive empathy ability rather than emotional empathy ability.

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of sociocultural attitudes toward appearance, appearance satisfaction, body-image, and self-esteem on interpersonal relationship ability of nursing students. Methods: The study was designed as a descriptive survey study. The subjects were 753 nursing students of three nursing colleges. Data were collected by a structured questionnaire and collected from April 1 to May 31, 2011.The collected data were analyzed by using the SPSS/WIN (ver.12.0). Results: The study showed significant differences in the score of interpersonal relationship ability according to gender, economic status and physical health status. The score of interpersonal relationship ability had significantly positive correlations with appearance satisfaction, body-image and self-esteem. Hierarchical linear regression showed physical health status, body-image and self-esteem were independently associated with interpersonal relationship ability. These three predictors accounted for 37% of the variance in interpersonal relationship ability. Conclusion: Physical health status, body-image and self-esteem were the predictors influencing interpersonal relationship ability. Therefore, these factors should be considered when developing intervention programs for interpersonal relationship ability for nursing students.

공과대학생의 '말하기 능력'에 대한 인식과 평가 (Engineering Students' Perception of Speaking Ability and Their Communicative Competence Assessment)

  • In addition to technical skills and competencies, communication competence has been identified to be important to engineering students who will be drivers of innovation in a rapidly changing society. Drawing on the previous studies, this research examines the results of an empirical exploration of engineering students' perception of speaking ability and their communicative competence. To date, there has been most of the research conducted on 'writing' (e.g., its educational process, class designs, ability, etc.) for engineering students. However, relatively little attention has been paid to engineering students' speaking ability perception and their competence diagnosis. This study relies on quantitative data obtained from one survey questionnaire and one test conducted respectively. The sample consists of 386 engineering students as well as 481 non-engineering students for the 1st survey. And to measure communicative competence, 150 engineering students as well as 136 non-engineering students participated in the test. Our findings show that firstly, there were significant differences in perception of speaking ability by majors and gender. Whereas there was no difference in the same survey by grade. Secondly, there was a close and significant relationship between sub-factors of speaking ability. Thirdly, there were significant differences in communicative competence by majors. Whereas there was no difference by gender and grade. Fourthly, there was a close and significant relationship between sub-factors of communicative competence. These findings are expected to provide an explanation for the improvement on engineering students' speaking ability and to encourage the participation in extra-curricular activities and programs in engineering school.

유아 대상 프로젝트 접근법 기반 공학적 STEAM 프로그램이 유아의 과학적 탐구능력, 수학적 문제해결력, 창의성에 미치는 효과 (Effects of an Engineering-Focused STEAM Program Based on the Project Approach for Young Children on Their Scientific Inquiry Ability, Mathematical Problem-Solving Ability, and Creativity)

  • Objective: This research aims to examine the effect of a young children's engineering-focused STEAM program based on the project approach - a program that constructs components aligned with children's interests in their play through an engineering design process - on their scientific inquiry ability, mathematical problem-solving ability, and creativity. Methods: In this research, 42 five-year-old children from a public kindergarten in S district, I city, were randomly divided into experimental and comparative groups, each with 21 children. The engineering-focused STEAM program was conducted from April 18 to June 10, 2022, with the experimental group exploring the 'car' theme and the comparison group focusing on a different theme. The study employed an independent sample t-test and analysis of covariance(ANCOVA), using the pretest as a covariate to control variables. Results: The children-selected 'cars' themed engineering-focused STEAM program was effective in enhancing their scientific inquiry ability, mathematical problem-solving ability and creativity. Conclusion/Implications: The engineering-focused STEAM program, which emerges from young children's interesting daily play, had positive effects on enhancing their scientific inquiry ability, mathematical problem-solving ability, and creativity. This research can serve as fundamental data for developing education programs focused on engineering within the STEAM framework, guided by children's emergent play.
