Analysis of the moderating effects of programming languages and the relationship between learners' learning characteristics and achievements (프로그래밍 언어의 조절효과 및 학습자의 학습특성과 성취도와의 관계 분석)

  • This study analyzed the relationship between the characteristics of learners and the achievement level according to the language they learn in programming education for non-major students. The learner's characteristics were set as mastery goal, situaltional interest, cognitive engagement, and self-efficacy for performance, and path analysis was conducted to understand the relationship between the language used and the learning achievement. Situaltional interest and cognitive engagement were found to have an effect on self-efficacy for performace, and self-efficacy for performance had an effect on academic achievement. At this time, the type of programming language to be studied showed a moderating effect on learning achievement. Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that appropriate instruction is needed for each language used in programming lessons for software non-majors.

The Efficacy of Using a Learning-App in a Zoom-Based English Class in the Untact Era (언택트 시대 줌 기반 영어 수업에서 학습 앱 활용의 효율성)

  • This study examined how the use of learning apps in Zoom-based classes affects learners' English achievement and assessed the efficiency of app use in Zoom-based English classes. The study utilized the English Central (EC) app to induce learners to actively participate in zoom-based classes. To assess the app's efficiency, two rounds of achievement tests and an open-ended questionnaire were administered. The two tests showed that Zoom-based EC app utilization classes positively affected learners' English achievement and the questionnaire revealed that the learners were highly satisfied with using the EC app in Zoom-based classes. The participants praised this approach for "complementing insufficient class content" and facilitating "immediate feedback" (on the EC app), "English practice," and "real-time communication and sharing of opinions" (on Zoom-based classes), describing it as "not boring" and "4 skill training in English." Instructors should strive to efficiently use such new teaching tools in the evolving environment of the untact era.

Effects of 12-Weeks Dance Sports Exercise on Body Composition, Irisin, Adiponectin and Blood Lipids in Obesity Elderly Women (12주간의 댄스스포츠운동이 비만노인여성의 신체조성, 아이리신, 아디포넥틴 및 혈중지질에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze effects of 12 weeks dance sports on body composition, irisin, adiponectin and blood lipids in obesity elderly women. The subjects were 26 obesity elderly women who do not have medically problems. The subjects randomly assigned to two groups; dance sports exercise(n=13), control(n=13). The subjects in dance sports group were participated for 60 minutes/day with two times/wk for 12 weeks, whereas subjects in control group were asked to maintain normal lifestyle during the same intervention period. The results of the present study showed that the blood irisin was significantly increased in the exercise group. The blood adiponectin level tended to increase in the exercise gorup. The blood lipids, TG and LCL-C were significantly decreased in the exercise group. The TC was slightly decreased, and the HDL-C was slightly increased. In conclusion, low irisin and adiponectin level in obese people have a positive effect on obese elderly women after dance sports. Therefore, exercise is thought to be good for the care of elderly obesity.

Analysis of the Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Convergence Factors in Hospital Administrative Staffs (병원행정직의 감성지능과 융복합 요인들의 관련성 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and convergence factors of hospital administrative staff. During the survey period from From May 1st to May 31st, 2019, anonymous self-administered responses to 212 administrative staffs of 19 hospitals randomly selected in J area were used as analysis data. According to hierarchical multiple regression analysis, the higher the ego-resiliency, the higher the organizational loyalty, and the higher the organizational commitment, the higher the emotional intelligence, and their explanatory power was 43.0%. Based on these analysis results, efforts are needed to increase ego-resiliency, increase organizational loyalty, and increase organizational commitment in order to increase the emotional intelligence of hospital administrative jobs. The above results are expected to be applied to industrial health education and job management in the future at hospitals to enhance emotional intelligence of hospital administrative staffs. Future research requires the establishment and analysis of a structural equation model that affects the emotional intelligence of hospital administrative staffs.

The Effect of College Students' Self-determination on their Beliefs about Foreign Language Learning and Learning Outcomes (대학생의 자기결정성이 외국어학습 신념과 학습 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • The present research intends to examine how college students' self-determination affects their beliefs in and achievement in foreign language learning in the current pandemic times. The data under discussion was collected from a survey questionnaire conducted to a group of 107 students attending at a four-year university in Cheonan. With the software SPSS Version 21.0, a set of statistical methods were employed: (i) descriptive statistics along with (ii) correlation analysis and (iii) regression analysis. The current analysis identified a positive correlation between their self-determination and both beliefs Foreign Langage Learning and Learning Outcomes, which means that the former exerts a significant impact on the latter. The results are expected to help educators arrange strategic plans that can enhance collegians' self-determination for their better performance of foreign language learning.

A Comparative Study of a New Approach to Keyword Analysis: Focusing on NBC (키워드 분석에 대한 최신 접근법 비교 연구: 성경 코퍼스를 중심으로)

  • This paper aims to analyze lexical properties of keyword lists extracted from NLT Old Testament Corpus(NOTC), NLT New Testament Corpus(NNTC), and The NLT Bible Corpus(NBC) and identify that text dispersion keyness is more effective than corpus frequency keyness. For this purpose, NOTC including around 570,000 running words and NNTC about 200,000 were compiled after downloading the files from NLT website of Bible Hub. Scott's (2020) WordSmith 8.0 was utilized to extract keyword lists through comparing a target corpus and a reference corpus. The result demonstrated that text dispersion keyness showed lexical properties of keyword lists better than corpus frequency keyness and that the former was a superior measure for generating optimal keyword lists to fully meet content-generalizability and content distinctiveness.

  • Scientific software requires a development process different from conventional application software due to its unique characteristics, such as expert-level deep domain knowledge requirements. In this study, we proposed a V & V development process based on RE (Reverse Engineering) and TDD (Test-Driven Development) for software development for science. We also configured a virtual scenario for the actual project, applied it, checked the procedure, and refined it. The development process of this study, suggested for the purpose of developing scientific software, will contribute to the development and application of the software that can provide high quality and high reliability. And This study is expected to serve as an opportunity for the development of scientific software and the spread of research.

The Effect of the User Attitude towards Digital Device of the Middle and Older Adults on Life Satisfaction: Mediating Effect of the Utilization Performance of Digital Device (장노년층의 디지털기기 이용태도가 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향 : 디지털기기 이용성과의 매개효과)

  • Purpose This study aims to verify the mediating effect of the utilization performance of digital device on the relationship between user attitude and life satisfaction. Design/methodology/approach Using the data of 2018 Digital Divide Survey conducted by the National Information Society Agency(NIA), the mediating effect was verified by Baron & Kenny (1986)'s 3 step process, targeting 1,662 adults older than 55. Findings The result is as follows: first, the user attitude of middle and older aged people has a positive effect on their life satisfaction. Second, the effect of user Attitude towards Digital Device of middle and older citizens is partially mediated by the utilization performance of digital device. The results of this study indicate that when providing informatization education in the local community to promote the use of digital devices for the elderly, efforts should be made to grasp the level and inclination of informatization individually, and furthermore present improvements for wireless devices that the elderly can easily access in their daily lives. This study is expected to be a groundwork for a practical intervention to boost positive attitude towards using digital device to enhance the utilization performance of digital device and the life satisfaction of middle and older aged people.

A Study on Life Change and Leisure Satisfaction by Reduction of Working Hours of Office Workers (직장인의 근로시간 단축에 따른 생활변화와 여가만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study is a study on the change of life and leisure satisfaction caused by the reduction of working hours of office workers, summarizing the results of the analysis as follows: First, the change in the working hours of office workers was found to be men (42.4 percent), but women (54.7 percent) had a high increase in personal satisfaction, monthly income of 2 to 3 million won 96.1 percent, and personal satisfaction increased in small and medium-sized cities and towns. Second, leisure satisfaction due to shorter working hours was somewhat high in monthly income of 3 million won to 4 million won (43.6%) and more than 6 million won (39.1%), but there was no change in leisure satisfaction by gender, age, academic background, number of family members, marital status, worker status and region. The revitalization of leisure is a very important task in personal life, but it is meaningful in that it provided implications for socializing leisure as leisure satisfaction is positively spreading in life changes.

The Relationship between Collegiate Athletes' Communication and Problem-Solving Capacity: The Mediating Effect of Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategy (대학 운동선수들의 의사소통과 문제해결능력의 관계: 인지적 정서조절전략의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the mediating effects of adaptive-maladaptive cognitive emotion regulation strategies in relationship between communication competence and problem-solving capacity. Subjects were 189 male collegiate athletes. The results were as follows: Their communication competence had a positive influence on their problem-solving capacity, and their adaptive emotion regulation strategies had a partial mediating effect on the relationship between communication competence and problem-solving capacity. But the maladaptive emotion regulation strategy did not have a statistically significant relationship with communication competence or problem-solving capacity. This result suggests that the communication competence and customized adaptive emotion regulation strategies are necessary to improve the problem-solving capacity of collegiate athletes.
