As the modern society has become highly industrialized and functionalized, the entry of women in public affairs has become brisk and extensive, and the studies of jackets which can satisfy the functions and designs for various activities have become important. Especially in the tailored collar which is the typical collar for female jackets, the studies such as scientific original form design, and design evaluation through analyzing functionality and sensitivity and others must be systematically carried out. In this study, therefore, the objective was placed in examining the actual state of the production of the tailored collar in the field of production first, and inquiring the general theories on the constituent elements of tailored-collar and production methods by analyzing it and comparing it with the educational tailored-collar production methods. First, in regard to the relation between the collar and the length of the backside neck of the bodice, in most cases, they were employing the method to enlarge the length of the backside neck of the bodice by shortening the length of the neck-base girth. That is, they were processing in order that the self collar band inside of the roll line and the fall of the collar can make a soft curved line. Second, when producing tailored-collar patterns, it is desirable to very the inclination according to the breath of the collar or thickness of the fabric because the stability of the inclination of the collar differs depending on the condition the collar is set, the girth of the collar edge. the broader the breath of the collar becomes, the thicker the fabric becomes, and the more the cloth is against the cold, it is necessary to make the inclination larger. Third, in the size relation between the upper collar and under collar, when sewing collars, it becomes thick and stabilized as it goes from the part in which extra pieces were put to the part in which extra pieces are not put. So you must make the upper collar larger by putting in extra pieces. The amount to be put in differs depending on characteristics of the materials.

The dynamic photoelastic technique had been utilized to investigate the possibillity of relieving the large local singular stresses induced at the corner of a right- angle- indenter. The indenter compressed a semi-infinite body dynamically with an impact load applied on the top of the indenter. The effects of the geometric changes of the indenter in terms of the diameter (d) and the location (1) of the stress relieving notch on the behavior of the dynamic contact stresses were investigated. The influence of stress relieving notches positioned along the edge of the semi-infinite body on the dynamic contact stresses were also studied by changing the diameter (D) and the location (L) of the notch. A multi-speak-high speed camera with twelve sparks were used to take photographs of full field dynamic isochromatic fringe patterns. The contact singular stresses were found to be released significantly by the stress relief notches both along the indenter and the edge of the semi-infinite body. The optimal position and geometry of the stress relieving notches were obtained with the aid of limited experimental results.
Choi Dong-hoon's films tend to have not been well treated academically in Korea. But from the point of view that his works have succeeded in box office and survived in the market for some reason, there seems to be new possibilities to treat them. In this paper, the two movies with ten million audiences, and that are Choi's original scenario and caper film genre are tried to examine the success factors in box office on "making well made story". Often, well-made films have both genre-customary and creative aspects. Choi Dong-hoon's movies are the same. and faithfully follow the rules of caper film genre. At the same time, these two films have complex adaptive systematic creativity, in which multiple characters are self-organizing with their story patterns actively. And since there is a proper coexistence of customary and original aspects in the and , these two films are seemed to be at the edge of the chaos, which is the most market adaptable.

In this paper, we proposed a new local micro pattern, Signed Local Directional Pattern(SLDP). SLDP uses information of edges to represent the face's texture. This can produce a more discriminating and efficient code than other state-of-the-art methods. Each micro pattern of SLDP is encoded by sign and its major directions in which maximum edge responses exist-which allows it to distinguish among similar edge patterns that have different intensity transitions. In this paper, we divide the face image into several regions, each of which is used to calculate the distributions of the SLDP codes. Each distribution represents features of the region and these features are concatenated into a feature vector. We carried out facial expression recognition with feature vectors and SVM(Support Vector Machine) on Cohn-Kanade and JAFFE databases. SLDP shows better classification accuracy than other existing methods.

Recently, collaborative works are increased more and more over the distributed heterogeneous computing environments. The availability of high-speed wide-area networks has also enabled collaborative multimedia applications such as video conferencing, distributed interactive simulation and collaborative visualization. Distributed high performance computing and collaborative multimedia applications, it is extremely important to efficiently perform group communication over a heterogeneous network. Typical group communication patterns are broadcast and Multicast. Heuristic algorithms such as FEF, ECEF, look-ahead make up the message transmission tree for the broadcast and multicast over the distributed heterogeneous systems. But, there are some shortcomings because these select the optimal solution at each step, it may not be reached to the global optimum In this paper, we propose a new heuristic algerian that constructs tree for efficiently collective communication over the previous heterogeneous communication model which has heterogenity in both node and network. The previous heuristic algorithms my result in a locally optimal solution, so we present more reasonable and available criterion for choosing edge. Through the performance evaluation over the various communication cost, improved heuristic algorithm we proposed have less completion time than previous algorithms have, especially less time complexity than look-ahead approach.

The total hip replacement (THR) has been used as the most effective way to restore the function of damaged hip joint. However, various factors have caused some side effects after the THR. Unfortunately, the success of the THR have been decided only by the proficiency of surgeons so far. Hence, It is necessary to find the way to minimize the side effect caused by those factors. The purpose of this study was to suggest the definite data, which can be used to design and choose the optimal hip implant. Using finite element analysis (FEA), the biomechanical condition of bone cement was evaluated. Stress patterns were analyzed in three conditions: cement mantle, procimal femur and stem-cement contact surface. Additionally, micro-motion was analyzed in the stem-cement contact surface. The 3-D femur model was reconstructed from 2-D computerized tomography (CT) images. Raw CT images were preprocessed by image processing technique (i.e. edge detection). In this study, automated edge detection system was created by MATLAB coding for effective and rapid image processing. The 3-D femur model was reconstructed based on anatomical parameters. The stem shape was designed using that parameters. The analysis of the finite element models was performed with the variation of parameters. The biomechanical influence of each parameter was analyzed and derived optimal parameters. Moreover, the results of FE A using commercial stem model (Zimmer's V erSys) were similar to the results of stem model that was used in this study. Through the study, the improved designs and optimal factors for clinical application were suggested. We expect that the results can suggest solutions to minimize various side effects.
An experimental study was performed to investigate the seismic performance of solid steel reinforced concrete (SRC) frames with special-shaped columns that are composed of SRC special-shaped columns and reinforced concrete beams. For this purpose, two models of two-bay and three-story frame, including an edge frame and a middle frame, were designed and tested. The failure process and patterns were observed. The mechanical behaviors such as load-displacement hysteretic loops and skeleton curves, load bearing capacity, drift ratio, ductility, energy dissipation and stiffness degradation of test specimens were analyzed. Test results show that the failure mechanism of solid SRC frame with special-shaped columns is the beam-hinged mechanism, satisfying the seismic design principle of "strong column and weak beam". The hysteretic loops are plump, the ductility is good and the capacity of energy dissipation is strong, indicating that the solid SRC frame with special-shaped columns has excellent seismic performance, which is better than that of the lattice SRC frame with special-shaped columns. The ultimate elastic-plastic drift ratio is larger than the limit value specified by seismic code, showing the high capacity of collapse resistance. Compared with the edge frame, the middle frame has higher carrying capacity and stronger energy dissipation, but the ductility and speed of stiffness degradation are similar. All these can be helpful to the designation of solid SRC frame with special-shaped columns.

This study developed a model to evaluate the co-benefits and trade-off effects between biodiversity and carbon storage capacity based on the implementation locations of nature-based solutions. The model aims to propose optimal implementation locations by using the conceptual idea of edge effects for carbon storage and connectivity for biodiversity. The co-benefits were considered by simultaneously taking into account two effects rather than a single effect. Trade-off effects were observed among optimal plans through a comparison of benefits. The NSGA-II multi-objective optimization algorithm was utilized, confirming the identification of Pareto-optimal solutions. The implementation patterns of Pareto-optimal solutions for green areas were examined. This study holds significance in proposing optimal locations by evaluating various co-benefits and trade-off effects of nature-based solutions. By advancing models based on this evaluation framework, it is anticipated that the assessment of co-benefits and trade-off effects among various benefits of nature-based solutions, such as climate change mitigation, enhancement of biodiversity, and provision of ecosystem services, can be accomplished.

The goal of data mining is to extract new and useful knowledge from large scale datasets. As the amount of available data grows explosively, it became vitally important to develop faster data mining algorithms for various types of data. Recently, an interest in developing data mining algorithms that operate on graphs has been increased. Especially, mining frequent patterns from structured data such as graphs has been concerned by many research groups. A graph is a highly adaptable representation scheme that used in many domains including chemistry, bioinformatics and physics. For example, the chemical structure of a given substance can be modelled by an undirected labelled graph in which each node corresponds to an atom and each edge corresponds to a chemical bond between atoms. Internet can also be modelled as a directed graph in which each node corresponds to an web site and each edge corresponds to a hypertext link between web sites. Notably in bioinformatics area, various kinds of newly discovered data such as gene regulation networks or protein interaction networks could be modelled as graphs. There have been a number of attempts to find useful knowledge from these graph structured data. One of the most powerful analysis tool for graph structured data is frequent subgraph analysis. Recurring patterns in graph data can provide incomparable insights into that graph data. However, to find recurring subgraphs is extremely expensive in computational side. At the core of the problem, there are two computationally challenging problems. 1) Subgraph isomorphism and 2) Enumeration of subgraphs. Problems related to the former are subgraph isomorphism problem (Is graph A contains graph B?) and graph isomorphism problem(Are two graphs A and B the same or not?). Even these simplified versions of the subgraph mining problem are known to be NP-complete or Polymorphism-complete and no polynomial time algorithm has been existed so far. The later is also a difficult problem. We should generate all of 2$^n$ subgraphs if there is no constraint where n is the number of vertices of the input graph. In order to find frequent subgraphs from larger graph database, it is essential to give appropriate constraint to the subgraphs to find. Most of the current approaches are focus on the frequencies of a subgraph: the higher the frequency of a graph is, the more attentions should be given to that graph. Recently, several algorithms which use level by level approaches to find frequent subgraphs have been developed. Some of the recently emerging applications suggest that other constraints such as connectivity also could be useful in mining subgraphs : more strongly connected parts of a graph are more informative. If we restrict the set of subgraphs to mine to more strongly connected parts, its computational complexity could be decreased significantly. In this paper, we present an efficient algorithm to mine frequent subgraphs that are more strongly connected. Experimental study shows that the algorithm is scaling to larger graphs which have more than ten thousand vertices.
The purpose of this study was to develop of the smoke flow visualization device of learning wind tunnel, teaching-learning materials in order to demonstrate air-flow around the fluid-flow field qualitatively and understand the resistance concepts of fluid-flow in secondary school. The contents of this study were consisted of the development and experiment of smoke flow visualization for learning wind tunnel. The main results of this study were as follows: First, this developed teaching-learning material here will help students understand the fundamental physical phenomena related with the resistance of fluid and the various patterns of air-flow in the field of transportation technology. Second, flow visualization has shown the same tendency in both of theoretical and experimental patterns. Third, the airfoil model has the smallest wake region meaning resistance against air-flow of circular cylinder and square rod model. Forth, flow separation point at leading edge and wide wake region began to show under the angle of attack of airfoil model ${\alpha}$ is $20^{\circ}$. Fifth, the wake width of the flow field behind a golf ball with dimple became slightly narrower than that without dimple. Sixth, the developed device was made to apply the teaching and learning materials for the experiment and practice in order to increase students' interest and attitude.
