표면 임피던스 경계조건을 이용한 몰드변압기 Tie-plate 손실 최소화에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Minimization of Tie-plate Loss of Cast Resin Transformer using Surface Impedance Boundary Condition)

  • In this paper, a tie-plate shape is optimized by using the numerical technique to reduce the stray load loss of the tie-plate which is a mechanical structure for assembling and supporting of the transformer core. The eddy current loss of the structure is calculated by an electromagnetic field FEM program and the results are compared with 4 different shapes of tie-plates. Since the thickness of the tie-plate is very thin, and the skin depth is very small, the number of FE elements for 3-D transformer model is too big to solve. So, the surface impedance boundary condition (SIBC) is used to reduce the system matrix size and its computing time. To verify the method a 2.5 MVA 22,900/380V distribution transformer is simulated using one objective function and three design variables with some constraints. The final optimized tie-plate has three slots of 6 mm width and 23 mm gap, and the loss is reduced by 75 %. Consequently, the proposed algorithm seems to be considerably applicable to electric machinery as well as power transformer.

  • Thin-gauged 3% Si-Fe sheets having a high magnetic induction of over 1.9 T have been developed for the purpose of applications where operation frequency is higher than power frequency. In order to clarify requirements of iron loss characteristics for the applications, iron loss characteristics of the newly developed strip were investigated by iron loss separation method and were compared with those of commercially produced 0.3 mm-thick electrical sheets. In case of relatively high excitation induction(1.7 T) and low frequency(60 Hz), reducing hysteresis loss is effective to decrease total iron loss. In case of relatively low excitation induction(1.0 T) and high frequency(1 kHz), reducing eddy-current loss is effective by decreasing thickness and grain size to improve total iron loss.

  • In the case of frequent braking, when driving downhill or long distance, conventional brakes using friction are problematic in braking safety due to brake rupture and fading phenomenon. Therefore auxiliary brakes is essential for heavy vehicles. And several research has been actively conducted to improve energy efficiency by regenerating mechanical energy into electric energy when the vehicles brake. In this paper, a voltage control method is utilized to recover the electric energy generated in the electromagnetic retarder instead of the eddy current. To regenerate the braking energy into the electrical energy, a resonant L-C circuit is configured in the retarder. The retarder can be modeled as self-excited induction generator due to its operating principle. The driving conditions according to the retarder's parameters are made into 3-D maps. Also, the voltage of the resonant circuit changing depending on the driving pulse applied to the FET was analyzed. For the control of this voltage, we proposed an algorithm using the PI controller. The controlled voltage is converted by a 3-phase AC/DC converter and then charged to a battery inside the heavy vehicles through a DC/DC converter. Electromagnetic retarder and its controller are validated using Matlab Simulink. We also demonstrate the voltage controller through the actual M-G set experiment.

전기자동차용 전동기/제어기의 시험 방법 (Test method for Motor/controller for Electric Vehicle)

  • 본 논문에서는 전기자동차용 전동기/제어기를 시험하기 위한 절차를 제시하였다. 현재 전기자동차용 전동기/제어기의 시험에 관한 국제 규격은 주로 안전 운전을 위한 최소 기준치를 정의하고 있지만 상세한 시험 방법에 대해서는 기술하고 있지 않다. 시험 항목 및 방법을 개발하기 위하여 기존의 선진국 규격에 대하여 전문가들의 의견을 바탕으로 보완 작업을 수행하였다. 개발된 규격에 따라 전동기/제어기의 시험 방법을 제시하였으며 다양한 부하 장치를 사용할 경우의 시험 방법을 제시하였다. 시험 절차는 주로 전동기 제어기 조합시험에 주안점을 두었으며 부하 장치로는 전동기-발전기, 와전류형 엔진 다이나모, 교류 다이나모 등을 사용하였으며 전동기/제어기를 차량에 탑재하지 않은 상태에서 전동기/제어기의 실제 주행모드 운전 특성을 시험하기 위한 방법을 제시하였다.

대구경 곡관 두께감소율 제어를 위한 온도점프 벤딩 공정의 최적화에 관한 연구 (Study on Optimization of Temperature Jump-Bending Process for Reducing Thickness Attenuation of Large-Diameter Steel Pipe)

  • Induction bending is a method that allows the bending of any material that conducts electricity. This technology applies a bending force to a material that has been locally heated by an eddy current induced by a fluctuating electromagnetic field. Induction bending uses an inductor to locally heat steel through induction. This results in a narrow heat band in the shape to be bent. In general, the reduction of thickness attenuation of a large-diameter steel pipe is not allowed to exceed 12.5%. In this paper, in order to meet the standard of thickness attenuation reduction, a non-uniform heating temperature jump-bending process was investigated. As a result, the developed bending technique meets the requirements of thickness attenuation reduction for large-diameter steel pipes.

용접방식을 적용한 평면디스플레이용 화학기상증착기의 알루미늄 진공챔버 제조에 관한 연구 (Study on the Fabrication of Aluminum Vacuum Chamber of Chemical Vapor Depositor for Flat Display with Welding Method)

  • LCD 디스플레이 크기는 점차 대형화를 이루면서, 현재 LCD 디스플레이 크기는 3,000*3,320mm 크기까지 증가하여 개발이 활발이 이루어지고 있다. 디스플레이의 크기가 증가함에 따라 제조 장비의 크기도 증가되어야 하므로, LCD 디스플레이 CVD 공정에 사용되는 4,200*3,300mm 크기의 대형 Aluminium Vacuum Chamber 에 피막두께 $15{\mu}m$ 이상을 구현함과 동시에 두께 균일도가 우수하며 염수분무시험으로 168시간 이상의 내식성 확보가 가능한 양극산화조건 개발을 위하여 양극산화 피막의 각종 특성 평가를 실시하였다. 양극산화 피막 두께 측정은 와전류(Eddy Current)의 원리를 이용한 비파괴식 두께 측정법(ISO 2360, ASTM D 7091)을 적용하였으며, 염수분무시험 방법은 (KS D 9502)을 적용하였으며, HCl bubble stream 시험 방법은 HCl 5% 농도를 투명 아크릴 튜브에 채운후 bubble stream 을 종점으로 하여 평가를 실시하였으며, 열충격을 이용한 도금밀착성(KS D 0254), 도장접착력(ASTM D 3359) 등을 이용하여 전해조건 및 전해액 농도에 따른 피막 특성 비교평가를 실시하여 최적의 대형 Aluminium Vacuum Chamber 양극산화 전해 조건을 개발하여 4,200*3,300mm 크기의 대형 Aluminium Vacuum Chamber 제조를 목적으로 하였다.

  • In the examination of steam generator(SG) tube in nuclear power plant, eddy current testing probes play an important role in detecting the defects. Bobbin probe and MRPC probe is usually used for the inspection of SG tube. Bobbin probe is good at high speed inspection, but ability of detection of circumferential defect is very weak. On the contrary MRPC probe, which moves for inspection in the direction of axial and circumferential simultaneously, has very slow inspection speed, but it has excellent detection capability for small cracks, which is hardly detected by bobbin probe. In this paper, for the accurate analysis of experimental ECT signals, construction of MRPC probe signals database according to the variation of defect size is the main purpose. Using 3-D finite element method, ECT signals are analyzed, and signals analysis add according to frequency ingredient. The results, which are analysis and characteristics ion of electromagnetism simulation signals, is databased.

Control effect and mechanism investigation on the horizontal flow-isolating plate for PI shaped bridge decks' VIV stability

  • Vortex-Induced-Vibration (VIV) is one kind of the wind-induced vibrations, which may occur in the construction and operation period of bridges. This phenomenon can bring negative effects to the traffic safety or can cause bridge fatigue damage and should be eliminated or controlled within safe amplitudes.In the current VIV studies, one available mitigation countermeasure, the horizontal flow-isolating plate, shows satisfactory performance particularly in PI shaped bridge deck type. Details of the wind tunnel test are firstly presented to give an overall description of this appendage and its control effect. Then, the computational-fluid-dynamics(CFD) method is introduced to investigate the control mechanism, using two-dimensional Large-Eddy-Simulation to reproduce the VIV process. The Reynolds number of the cases involved in this paper ranges from $1{\times}10^5$ to $3{\times}10^5$, using the width of bridge deck as reference length. A field-filter technique and detailed analysis on wall pressure are used to give an intuitive demonstration of the changes brought by the horizontal flow-isolating plate. Results show that this aerodynamic appendage is equally effective in suppressing vertical and torsional VIV, indicating inspiring application prospect in similar PI shaped bridge decks.

증발산량 관측 대표위치 선정에 관한 연구: 춘천댐 유역을 중심으로 (A study on the selection of evapotranspiration observatory representative location in Chuncheon Dam basin)

  • 수문조사에서는 시·공간적 한계 및 제약으로 인하여 대표지점을 통한 관측이 필수적이다. 수문자료의 활용 및 자료의 정확성에 있어 특정 유역을 대표하는 관측소가 부족한 실정이다. 또한 현재 증발산량 측정 위치에 대한 기준이 사실상 전무하기 때문에 본 연구에서는 증발산량 측정 위치 결정에 관한 방법을 제시하고자 한다. 증발산량 측정 위치 결정은 증발산량 측정에 주로 사용되고 있는 에디공분산(eddy covariance) 측정 방법에서 관측 타워(Flux Tower) 운영범위를 고려한 격자를 선정하였으며 증발산량에 영향을 미치는 인자, 증발산량 위성자료를 통해 대표위치 격자를 산정하였다. 산정된 대표위치 격자는 양호, 보통, 미흡으로 분류하였다. 결과로 산정된 양호격자의 수는 54개이다. 격자의 분류에서 나타난 특징으로 지형, 토지이용에서 격자의 분류가 이루진 것으로 판단된다. 특히 표고나 시가지의 경우 편차가 크게 나타났으며 산정된 양호 격자는 두 분포 사이의 집단으로 판단된다.

단신 : 사이클 피팅을 위한 전동 승차 조절기 개발 (Technical Note : Development of Electric Riding Machine for Cycle Fitting)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop an electric riding machine for cycle fitting to control riding posture easily, to measure frame size quantitatively, and to overcome disadvantages of the traditional systems. The electric riding machine consisted of actuator, load controller, and display & control unit. The actuator unit by BLDC(BrushLess Direct Current) motor drives the saddle height up and down, the crank forward and backward, the handlebar up and down, and the handlebar forward and backward. The load controller unit controls loads by Eddy current controller with electromagnet and aluminum circular plate. The display & control unit consisted of frame size controller and display panel which shows top tube length(485~663mm), head tube length(85~243mm), seat tube length(481~671mm), and seat tube angle($62.7{\sim}76.4^{\circ}$). The range of frame size control for developed electric riding machine did not have difference compared to traditional commercial systems, but quantitative and precise control with 0.1 mm length and $0.1^{\circ}$ angle was possible through digital measurement. Unlike traditional commercial systems, frame size control was possible during riding through motor driven method, thus fitting duration decreased. It is necessary for further improvement to have feedback from users. It is believed that developed electric riding machine can help to develop domestic fitting system.
