공조시스템용 지열히트펌프의 실증평가에 관한 연구 (In-situ Performance Evaluation of a Ground Source Heat Pump for an Air Conditioning System)

  • In this study, the ground source heat pump was installed at a research center in Jeju Island to verify the performance of the system and to give an information for a economic feasibility. The performance test was conducted until the heat storage tank temperature reached at $5^{\circ}C$ from $50^{\circ}C$ in the cooling operation, and until the storage temperature goes up to $50^{\circ}C$ from $10^{\circ}C$ in the heating mode. As results, the system performance shows that $2.2{\sim}3.5$ for the cooling operation and $2.5{\sim}3.5$ for heating operation. It is found that the underground is good heat source for the heat pump with $3{\sim}10^{\circ}C$ variation range. The ground source heat pump could be connected one of air conditioning system without any problem in system performance. Based on the economic analysis, the initial cost for the ground source heat pump will be compensated after 4 years operation. If the system runs 20 years, approximately 300 million Won will be saved when the air conditioning system adapt the ground source heat pump based on Life Cycle Cost analysis.

  • Because of their low operating and maintaining costs, ground-source heat pump(GSHP) systems are an increasingly popular choice for providing heating, cooling and water heating to public and commercial buildings. Despite these ad- vantages and the growing awareness, GSHP systems to residential sectors have not been adopted in Korea until recently. A feasibility study of a residential GSHP system was therefore conducted using the traditional life cycle cost(LCC) analysis within the current electricity price framework and potential scenarios of that framework. As a result, when the current residential electricity costs for running the GSHP system are applied, the GSHP system has weak competitiveness to conven- tional HVAC systems considered. However, when the operating costs are calculated in the modified price frameworks of electricity, the residential GSHP system has the lower LCC than the existing cooling and heating equipments. The calculation results also show that the residential GSHP system has lower annual prime energy consumption and total pollutant emissions than the alternative HVAC systems considered in this work.

  • The environmental problems aren't only restricted in single area or country, but also related in all around the world. Various approaches have been tried to protect and utilize properly the environment. Especially, building area has been attempted to provide the model which could explain the degree of environmental influence and technology development criteria to lessen the environmental impact in building life cycle. The environmental impact in the building life cycle can be overally explained with sustainability. Sustainability can be utilized to establish the target level of building to environmental influence. This paper aimed at extracting items to evaluate the building sustainability, divided into social, economic and environmental aspects. First, 93-items is extracted from 3 areas through existing literature review. Second, the 93-items would be controlled and reviewed into 21 items, which are five social aspect items, two economic aspect items and twelve environmental items, because 93 items can not properly be applied and evaluated. And, it provided the model to combine the extracted items of each area. In social aspect, the outdoor noise is more affect than any other items. In environmental aspect, the item of surface-to-volume is more affect than any other items.

  • In this study, air conditioning systems include ground source heat pump (GSHP), are evaluated for economic feasibility. The building is modeled an air conditioned for 280kW scale. This analysis is compared with the energy tariff programs of Korea and USA. The objectives of this paper are to evaluate the cost-effectiveness of the GSHP and combined system using Life-Cycle Cost (LCC) analysis, and to carry out the sensitivity analysis of key parameters. The paper considered the cases including the base case of air source heat pump and the other two alternates for comparisons. The combined system is not only a cost-effective way to the low energy consumption but also a way to avoid a high initial investment. The variations of initial investment and energy rates give a significant effect on the total LCC and payback period.

  • The purpose of this study is to make an economic analysis(Life cycle cost) of selecting optimal air conditioning system for a research building which is 8 stories with a total floor area of $32,010m^2$. Energy consumptions of three proposed air-conditioning systems(Alt-1,2,3) that reflect the government green-growth policy are calculated and compared. The results show that life cycle cost of Alt-3(Ventilation DX AHU+EHP) is less than Alt-1(EHP+ventilation DX AHU) by 5.1%, and Alt-2(Absorption chiller/heater+EHP) by 34.3%. Annual energy consumption of Alt-3 is less than Alt-1 by 9.9%, and Alt-2 by 37.4%. Annual $CO_2$ emission of Alt-3 is less than Alt-1 by 9.9%, and Alt-2 by 0.2%.

  • 기존의 에코디자인은 제품의 환경성 측면만을 고려하여 수행하였다. 이는 에코디자인 수행 시 제품의 환경측면 분석을 통해 파악된 주요 부품이 개선 대상이었다는 것을 의미한다. 나아가 최근 경제성 측면까지 고려하여 에코디자인을 수행하고 있는데, 이는 주로 공급자의 입장이 반영된 에코디자인이며, 소비자의 입장이 제대로 반영된 에코디자인이라고 보기 힘들다. 따라서 소비자의 입장에서 얻을 수 있는 가치에 대한 지표인 UV (Utility Value)를 고려한 새로운 에코디자인이 필요하다. 따라서, 환경적 측면뿐만 아니라 제품의 경제적 측면과 소비자효용가치(Utility value, UV) 적 측면을 동시에 고려한 에코디자인 지수(Eco-Design Index, EDI) 는 에코디자인을 평가하는 새로운 대안이 될 수 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 제품의 환경성, 경제성 및 소비자효용가치를 고려하여 에코디자인 지수의 로직(Logic)을 제안하고, 이를 공용 복합기의 출력 기능을 수행하는 부품에 적용하여 그 의의를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 이는, 공용 복합기 부품들의 Utility Value (UV), Life Cycle environmental impact (LCE), 및 Life Cycle Cost (LCC) 값을 정량화하여 EDI를 산정한 뒤, 이를 토대로 에코디자인의 개선대상이 되는 부품을 파악하는 에코디자인의 새로운 접근방법을 제시하는 것이다. 이 연구의 대상 제품인 8가지의 부품 중 롤러의 경우 환경성과 경제성 측면에서 가장 우수한 부품으로 나타났지만 UV 값은 8개 부품들 중 가장 낮았다. 롤러의 EDI 순위는 8개 부품 중 4위에 불과했다. 전사벨트는 환경성과 경제성 측면에서 각각 8위와 5위를 나타낸 반면, UV 값이 2번째로 높게 산정되어, EDI 순위는 8개 중 3위였다. 이것은 에코디자인 정도를 평가할 때에 환경성뿐만 아니라 경제성과 UV 측면 또한 반드시 고려해야 한다는 것을 의미한다.

시장환경의 변화에 따른 가계포트폴리오 변화유형 및 각 유형별 가계특성 분석 : IMF 경제위기동안의 재무의사결정 유형 (An Analysis of Household Portfolio Changes and Household Characteristics : Financial decision making patterns during the economic crisis under IMF trusteeship)

  • The instability in the current financial market caused consumers a lot of difficulties in their financial decision making. The purpose of this study is to classify the changes in household portfolios during the economic crisis under IMF-trusteeship (IMF Crisis hereafter), and to examine the characteristics of the households according to the types of household portfolio changes. The data were taken from 1996 and 1999 Korean Household Panel Studies, and 1,293 households were selected for the final analysis. Methods of analysis included frequencies, percentages, Chi-square tests, F-tests, and t-tests. Major findings are as follows: 1. In the midst of the financial market changes during the period of the IMF crisis, consumers tended to manage their household portfolio differently according to their household characteristics. 2. The changes of household portfolio can be classified into two different types: the changed type (44.4%) and the unchanged type(55.6%). There are significant differences in the level of wealth, family life cycle stage, housing tenure, and the household head's job, between the changed type and the unchanged type. The family members of the unchanged type are more likely to be older and relatively wealthy compared with the families in the changed type. 3. The changes of household portfolio can be further classified into six different types: the unchanged-liquidity type (21%), the unchanged-multiplication type (24.6%), the unchanged-insurance type (9.8%), the changed-to-liquidity type (13.9%), the changed-to-multiplication type (13.0%), and the changed-to-insurance type (17.5%). There are significant differences in income level, wealth level, family life cycle stage, housing tenure, and the job of household head among the six types of changes.

뉴 노멀시대 한국의 가구 시장 연구 - 경제적 관점을 중심으로 - (A Study on Furniture Market of South Korea in New Normal - Focus on Economic Perspectives -)

  • Economic crisis in 2008 has changed South Korean market including furniture related field. Owing to Subprime Mortgage Crisis, new economic order, in other words, New Normal was established. Low growth rate, low interest, high unemployment rate, high risks, regulation strengthening, and all that sort of negative things have became generalized. South Korean economy has developed drastically since the Korean War, however recent economic crisis and Internet and smart phone have leading roles in shaping new consumption market. In a way, furniture market has expanded despite economic recession. Total service for housing is suited to South Korean consumers and shortened Product Life Cycle induces consumers to buy more furniture. In addition, Internet and smart phone allow people to show off their private spaces to unspecified masses. As a result, consumer prefers inexpensive and expendable furniture. It is certain that furniture market makes quantitative growth, but qualitative sides are questionable. Even though the study is focused on the existent circumstances, It will help to find out the proper ways of future furniture market in South Korea.

  • 기존의 대기전력차단시스템의 단점을 극복하고자 최근 지능형 대기전력 제어시스템이 개발되기에 이르렀다. 하지만 기존의 시스템 보다 투자금액이 높은 문제로 도입에 대한 타당성 검토가 필요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 LCCA 및 LCA를 이용하여 경제적 측면 및 환경적 측면을 종합적으로 분석하여 도입의 타당성을 검토하였다. 또한 결과의 신뢰성을 확보하기 위하여 민감도 분석을 실시하였다.

  • Waterproofing materials should be expected to last the life of the structure. An approximate life cycle cost should be to compare different materials based on initial and periodic repair / maintenance costs. Waterproofing applicators like materials that are easy to set up and clean up. The designer should choose a material that can be applied in almost all conditions. Design Professionals should specify independent inspection on critical jobs or in all cases where the budget permits. The basic causes of defection occurred during construction should be minimized.
