The nature accompanies with natural and ecological truth, worsening living environment without think using of our nature. Now, the sustainable researches to study peculiarities in ecological dwellings considered with nature and the development of human life's quality in housing itself, have been progressing. Also it is needed to show understanding about ecological dwellings in the user participant's consciousness such as, unification thought with nature, circulation thought of substance, and environment friendly thought of the traditional housing. Chose five examples which is applying ecological architectural concept by each Chungbuk, Chungnam, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeonggi district and I investigated change of exterior or interior material, application of ecological system, and etc. With these background, this study will survey cases of ecological dwellings and find peculiar characteristics of ecological dwellings through researching the correlation between the concept in user's consciousness and application method.
Purpose: Social influence has a decisive role in shaping a person's cognition and behavior. Chinese face consciousness, including moral component, is an important part of Chinese traditional culture, which influences people to implement moral behavior. With both eye-tracking technology and traditional questionnaire, this research aims to explore people's moral psychology and the psychological processing mechanisms of Chinese face consciousness, as well as the impact of Chinese face consciousness on the preference for the ecological product. Method and Data: 75 college and MBA students' eye movement data were collected when they read different kinds of moral materials, as well as data from the subsequent questionnaires. To test the hypothesis, ANOVA analysis and Heat Map analysis were performed. Besides, the PROCESS of bootstrap was used to test mediation effect. Findings: The results reveal that: 1. Compared to the moral-situation reading, when subjects read immoral situations, they need more processing time due to the moral dissonance and cognitive load. 2. Compared to the control condition, when threatened moral self is primed, subjects prefer to choose ecological product. 3. Protective face orientation is the mediator between threatened moral self and preference to ecological product. Key Contributions: First, this study broadens the use of eye-tracking technology in marketing and demonstrates a better understanding of the relationship between morality and consumer behavior in a more scientific way. Second, this study not only distinguishes the meanings between "protective face orientation" and "acquisitive face orientation", but also innovatively validates that when moral self is threatened, consumers tend to choose ecological product as moral compensation in order to protect their face. It can shed light on the promotion of ecological product in practical applications.
The present study is to investigate the middle school students' worldview and consciousness about the environment. To conduct this study, 605 students from the two middle schools of Daegu metropolitan area, seventh grade, were measured using a modified version of New Environmental Paradigm (NEP) instrument and qustionnaire of environmental consciousness. The results are as follows: First, a majority of middle school students held an ecological environmental worldview. They also had a similar environmental worldview to education experience on environment-related to subjects. The strongest area of agreement with the NEP were in the "Negative results of growth and technology." The weakest area of agreement with the NEP were in the "Quality of life" dimension with only 44.9 percent agreement across that dimension's four statements. Second, the middle school students are sensible of consciousness in environmental problems. They pointed out that air pollution and noise are the most as sever problems in country and local area, respectively. Finally, the subjects who showed the higher environmental worldview had a higher environmental consciousness and better attitudes related to environmental problems.
Consumers' interests in the environment have been growing; hence, their consciousness about the environment has changed and affected their clothing shopping behavior. Prior study indicated attitude-behavior inconsistency in eco-friendly consumer behavior. It was because consumers' consciousness or attitude was often measured at an abstract level, not at a product specific level. This study investigated eco-friendly clothing knowledge, eco-friendly clothing consciousness, and ecological clothing consumption behavior. The effects of consumers' level of clothing involvement and subjective norms in this process were also investigated. For the empirical research, a questionnaire was developed, and responses from 480 women in their 20s to 50s were statistically analyzed. Results indicated that interest and fashion consciousness dimensions of clothing involvement had a significant influence on eco-friendly clothing knowledge, which thereby significantly influenced the three factors of eco-friendly clothing consciousness: social responsibility, health orientation, and clothing resource-saving consciousness. Such factors had different roles in the clothing consumption process. Social responsibility had a significant influence on the entire process of clothing consumption: shopping, purchasing, using, and disposing behaviors. Health orientation consciousness had a significant influence on shopping and purchasing behaviors, whereas resource-saving consciousness had a significant impact only on shopping behavior. Subjective norms were significantly correlated with all aspects of the clothing consumption process. Influence on disposing behavior was relatively weaker than other aspects of clothing consumption behavior.
The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between botanical garden visitors' ecological consciousness and their needs, in order to provide some effective measures to manage them. For this purpose, 3 study points were set up: "botanical garden visitors' ecological consciousness and their needs", "differences of such consciousness depending on their demographic variables" and the "relationship between such consciousness and their needs". To this end, Botanical garden visitors were surveyed for an empirical analysis. The visitors' awareness about ecology was measured with Dunlap's 15-item NEP Inventory, while their needs were analyzed in reference to Maslow's 7-Step Human Desire Ladder. The survey was conducted at Botanical garden for 3 days. As a result, a total of 360 questionnaires were returned. The results of this study can be summarized as follows; First, the visitors' ecological consciousness and their needs were higher than normal level. In terms of their consciousness of ecology, their awareness of the ecological crisis potential and anti-humanism were the highest. In terms of their needs, the aesthetic need was the highest, followed by the cognitive need. On the other hand, the needs for self-achievement and self-esteem were the lowest; except them, the higher the needs were positioned at Maslow's ladder of desire, the more responsive the subjects became. As a result of analyzing the correlation between the subjects' consciousness of ecology and their needs, it was found that the correlation was negative in some sub-areas, while being positive in other sub-areas. After all, the ratio of the sub-areas having a positive correlation was 3 times higher than that of the sub-areas having a negative correlation. Even as for the correlation coefficient values, they were higher in the positive sub-areas, which suggests that the correlation between wetland visitors' ecological consciousness and their needs was positive, although at a lower level, in overall terms. As a result of comparatively analyzing visitors' needs by dividing them into 3 sub-groups depending on the levels of their ecological consciousness, it was found that the higher their consciousness of ecology was, the higher their needs were. Overall, botanical garden visitors' ecological awareness was higher than the normal level, and it was estimated that such awareness would continue to increase. Hence, it could be inferred that their needs, particularly their aesthetic and cognitive ones, would also continue to increase. Accordingly, it is important to manage the wetland landscape making use of its visual resources, while keep providing the visitors with the contents fulfilling their need for knowledge.
This paper intends to suggest the positive, ecological vision of sustainability in Karen Hesse's Out of the Dust that Billie Jo Kelby recovers herself through her readjustment of interior consciousness and outer environment in her tragic situations caused by the Dust Bowl. In spite of her desires for happiness and affluence of home, she loses her mother and brother, and her musical talent as a pianist, and lies in self-abandonment. But she finally raises up herself with her courage and patience, reconciliating with the nature and ameliorating the community by taking care of the devastated landscapes. Hence it is appropriate to approach the loss-recovery process of nature and consciousness with ecological solutions, The Dust Bowl breaks down human mind and body, and eventually leads to the situations of despairs and death. Hesse proposes the primary solution that humans should reconstruct their interior consciousness and participate in recovering the nature because humans are inevitably linked with nature. In this novel, the nature takes a dynamic and active role as a catalyst, reconciling the self with other humans and settling with the conflicting situations in history and culture. This verse novel as an active, self-ordering, and corrective process gives the more intense ecological message. As Hesse defines the setting of Dirty Thirties as a channel of energy, she creates the utmost effects of ecological process that human and environment are part of a total situation, representing the transactional formulation, each conditioned by conditioning to the other. Therefore Billie Jo takes her part as an interpreter and actualizes herself, understanding the nature with metaphor and symbol. Eventually Billie Jo realizes that she should rebuild her environment not out of the dust but in the dust, accepting the reality of Dust Bowl.

The researcher noted the fact that wetland users are more and more diversified while people are more conscious of their ecological importance. Wetlands tend to be very sensitive in ecological terms, and therefore, they can hardly accommodate their users' needs indefinitely. With such basic perception in mind, the purpose of this study was to survey wetland users' eco-consciousness, determine their traits, analyze the corelation between their traits and preferences of wetland amenities, and thereby, provide the data useful to planning of an effective wetland management policy. To this end, the researcher sampled nation's largest wetland, Upo Marsh located in Changnyeong for a questionnaire survey. Wetland users' eco-consciousness was measured, using Dunlap's NEP (New Ecological Paradigm) approved by many researchers. Wetland users' preferences of the wetland amenities were measured, centered around 11 amenity types observed commonly at the domestic wetlands. As a result of the survey conducted in October, 2012, a total of 228 effective samples were acquired. Wetland users' eco-consciousness was higher than normal, scoring 3.45 on the 5-point scale consisting of 5 sub-scales. In particular, users were more conscious of 'the possibility of an eco-crisis,' while being less conscious of 'ejection of exemptionalism.' As a result of classifying the users into 3 sub-groups in reference to their eco-consciousness and analyzing their preferences of amenities comparatively, significant differences were found in all 3 sub-areas. In particular, the sub-group most eco-conscious tended to prefer the learning amenities, but the least eco-conscious sub-group tended to prefer the utilities. As a result of the post-hoc test, it was found that most and normal eco-conscious sub-groups were more or less homogeneous, while the least eco-conscious sub-group was significantly different from the former 2 sub-groups in terms of eco-consciousness. As the wetland users were found to be diversified in terms of their eco-consciousness, it is necessary to plan the wetland management policies in consideration of such differences. However, it is perceived that the wetland amenities need to be built to meet the more eco-conscious users.
The studies on eco-village have been focused on the notion of the village and methods to construct it. However, there haven't been enough studies to research changes of the village derived from dwellers of the village. This fact is being one of reasons to deliver many constructions of Eco-Villages being out of balance. Though the dweller is practical user of the village, planning methods concerning user's opinion are not used and even devaluated in the comparison to methods at the beginning of the planning. Thus, this study began to research dwellers' consciousness for Eco-Village and point out problems which can be happen in real life of Eco-Village.
This study is on theoretical foundation for orthodoxy korean style Environmental Education based on oriental ecological thought. The main theme is that various kinds of all the ideas related with ecological thought based on oriental thoughts for EE should be focused into Moderation, the core-concept of oriental confuscian thoughts. The Moderation has not meant just a personal enlightenment, as it has known to general people, it can be developed into social status core-consciousness for regulating the natural resource. So we should focus on this conceptual developing mechanism personal enlightenment into social status for our orthodoxy konean style EE. It can be infered from Taoism, Confuscionism Buddism, especially, Anxiety Consciousness (WOOHWAN) for grand-scale anxiety to public society and universal cosmos. And also I drawed Harbermas-philosophy to provide good means for fortifying this research. His communication theory and restoration of real life for public people communication can be connected to oriental thoughts in the aspect of reciprocative response among the community people. So our orthodoxy korean style EE can be erected on the community-based regionality and their public communication through reciprocative response process. We should try to make this surrounding conditions nature-familiar oriental philosophy has provided from ancient times in the aspect all the traditional thought has been eco-deterministic.
Due to the outbreak of the COVID-19, self-service technology is widely used in Korea, and demand for disposable cups is increasing significantly. Waste and recycling of disposable cups have become a social concern for Koreans and Korea implemented the "Disposable Cup Deposit Systems" again in December 2022. Whether the emergence of this system can change the way people behave in environmental protection is a question to be examined in this study. Companies participating in the disposable cup deposit system are hoping that customers will actively recover cups through self-service in the process of collecting disposable cups. The government, along with businesses, transfers recovery work to customers through self-service technologies and schemes. Due to the increase in Shadow Work and the strengthening of consumer environmental protection consciousness, this paper focuses on how unmanned service types such as self-service technology can affect people's environmental protection behavior. An empirical analysis with 477 samples examined how the characteristics of shadow work, perceived efficacy, environmental awareness, and ecological guilt affect user's environmental protection behavior. Perceived efficacy that acts as a mediator and ecological guilt that plays as a moderator are investigated. Although there have been many studies on the effects of shadow work on customer behavioral intentions before, it has been very rare to study the effects of shadow work perceived by people on environmental behavioral intentions from an environmental protection perspective. This study shows that the higher the perceived efficacy of consumers, the more people prefer self-service technology and the stronger the environmental protection behavior. Also, consumers' ecological guilt significantly moderates the relationship between environmental consciousness and eco-friendly behavior. It is expected that companies and governments will be able to understand the impact of shadow work on consumers' environmental protection behavior and further promote environmental protection by appropriate policies and marketing strategies.
